Sunday morning had been awkward, even when she was alone in her bed, stuffing her face in a pound of ice cream. There had been no tears, just a lot of self-hatred. Did she actually think Luca would feel something for her other than sexual attraction? Now she was being made to see him on a daily basis after they had shared the most incredible night of her life. How long had she lusted after him? Too long to mention and not be embarrassed by. No doubt she would be made to witness the women that flaunted themselves at him, tempting him with slender bodies and huge breasts.
Steeling herself, she grabbed her purse and made her way toward the front of the building with her head held high. She said her pleasantries to the other staff and sat in her little cubicle, away from the general population.
The morning progressed and Linden found her mind being occupied with spreadsheets and expense reports. She heard his voice before she saw him. That deep and husky timbre that had her pussy and nipples tingling with remembered ecstasy. She stood slowly and peeked over the edge of her coffin like office. There he was, encased in a black pinstripe suit. The power and control seeped from him so naturally everyone gravitated to him. Her eyes were riveted to him, following his every move, watching the hard lines of his body, clearly visible through the expensive material of his clothes.
A very feminine, very bubbly laugh had her turning to the big-breasted, platinum blond woman hanging off Luca’s arm. Her heart raced and jealousy, the green monster, reared its head. She felt ridiculous for being envious, hell, he hadn’t promised her anything. Now she was acting like some kind of jealous girlfriend. She meant to sit back down but her body was paralyzed as Luca and his new flavor of the day walked by. His eyes locked with hers and she felt her face heat. Luca’s gaze was penetrating, and even though the blond continued to giggle and chatter away in a high-pitched annoying voice, his full attention was on her.
She watched them walk into his office and only when the door shut behind them did she finally sit back down. Her mind was blank for several seconds and finally she got back to work. It was clear he moved on, from whatever it was they had, and she needed to quit thinking there would ever be more than that one night.
Checking the time, she realized it was almost half-past five. The majority of the office had already left, and it seemed she was the only fool that decided to stay that extra half-hour to finish up her reports. She shut her computer down and grabbed her purse. Making her way toward the front of the office, she started digging through her purse for her keys.
“Miss Jacobson, can I please see you in my office?” Linden stopped when she heard Luca’s voice coming from behind her. She looked over her shoulder and saw him standing in his doorway, one thick shoulder resting against the frame. His jacket was off and the first three buttons of his white dress shirt were undone.
Oh, God. A confrontation was so not what she needed. Maybe he was going to fire her because he realized how uncomfortable it was to work with her after he fucked her? It seemed like it took her ages to make it into his office, but when she finally did the room seemed to close in around her.
He walked around her and sat on the edge of his desk. They stared at each other for several long minutes and she shifted under the weight of his stare. “Did you need something, Mr. Harlow?” One of his dark eyebrows rose at the mention of his name.
“I thought when my cock was in your pussy and ass we were on a first name basis?” His words shocked her so much she didn’t bother telling him he had used a formal greeting for her as well.
Did he just say what she thought he said? “Excuse me?”
“You heard me perfectly well.” He took a step toward her and dropped his voice to a husky whisper. “Even though I like you calling me Mr. Harlow, I prefer to hear my given name fall from those succulent lips.” His eyes dipped down to her mouth and she licked them involuntary.
“I--” What in the hell was she supposed to say? “I assumed it was just the one night. I mean you had that blond with you earlier.” A frown marred his devilishly handsome face and then his grin was slow and sensual.
“That was Mrs. Thayer, the wife of Senator Thayer. She came to see me about some advertising for a new beauty shop she intends to open.”
Oh. Linden’s cheeks heated at his admission. There was no reason why he needed to tell her all that, but he did to reassure her. But what he was reassuring her about she didn’t know.
“Saturday night was…” He licked his lips before continuing. “It was mind-blowing. I’m not ready for it to end. I want more of you.” The last part was more of a deep utterance, with a little groan at the end.
“You want me?” Was this actually happening? Luca Harlow wanted her: brown-haired, small-breasted Linden Jacobson.
“I want whatever you’re willing to give me.”
It took an awful lot of strength to remember to breathe, and when she inhaled deeply all she could smell was Luca. “I want to give that to you.” Had she just said those words aloud? At the grin on Luca’s face she surmised she had.
“Good … how about we start with that pretty little mouth of yours wrapped around my cock?” His hands went to his belt buckle. “After that I’d like to lick the sweet cream from your delectable pussy.” He unhooked his belt and unzipped his slacks. “Then after we are sated with each other I’d like to take you to dinner.”
“Dinner?” That certainly hadn’t been what she expected him to say.
“I’d like to take you to dinner every night of the week.” He stepped closer to her and brushed his lips against hers. “There are a lot of things I’d like to do with you, things that involve us going out, enjoying each other’s company and then going back to my place. I want to get to know the real Linden Jacobson, the woman that has had me so enamored since she started working here that no other woman compares. I’d say let’s skip the blowjob and go straight to dinner, but seeing you in that tight little skirt, watching you bend over all day, has given me an enormous hard-on and I’m in pain.” She couldn’t help it, she laughed out loud. Luca looked taken back at first, but when she leaned forward and kissed him, his frown turned into a smile. “I’ll be to have that mouth wrapped around me. I am a man that knows when he has met his match, and by God, woman, you are definitely the right match for me.”
“When you called me into your office, this certainly wasn’t what I expected.” He lifted his hand and ran his finger over his bottom lip. “I would love that too, Luca. All of it … but how about we take care of your little problem first?” She looked down, saw his erection straining against his slacks and grinned up at him. “Or should I say your big problem?”
