“Wow, I wasn’t expecting this.” She glanced at the table and back at the room again. It screamed romance.
“We know. It was a surprise. Do you like it?” Cael strolled up and framed her face.
“Yes, I love it.” She blinked. They were so sweet.
“Good, let’s go to the table.” Dante leaned close.
“The food smells good.” She drew in a deep breath. Fish, but from the amount of food on the table and on the rolling cart, there was more than that on offer.
Cael stepped back. He led the way to the table and pulled out the chair. She slid into the seat, and Cael took the one next to her. Dante took the other. Thane dropped into the last chair. Their gazes locked on her. She licked her lips. Had she smeared mascara and not noticed it? She raised a hand to her face.
Dante and Cael grasped her hands. What are they doing?
“Sunshine, you know that from the first, with you, we’ve wanted everything.” Dante’s hand tightened on hers.
“We wanted it as soon as possible. We’d have advanced everything much faster than happened if it had been feasible. The day we met you if we could.” Thane lifted a shoulder.
“I kind of liked getting to know you before everything got serious.” She glanced at him through her lashes.
“We loved it, too, but we were longing for more. I’m not going to deny it.” Cael shook his head.
She laughed. Yeah, they’d made that clear. They’d been intense.
“We still want everything with you. So we’d like to ask. Will you marry us? One in the legal ceremony and all of us in front of our community.” Dante brought his other hand out and held a small velvet box.
Her heart raced, and her breath locked in her throat. She nodded and swallowed. To have them legally as hers… “Yes.”
“Good.” Cael nodded. “I would have loved to convince you, though.”
“Maybe you could convince me in bed later.” She smiled. Definitely the way to end a perfect night.
“We’ll give you a night to remember, but first, let’s try some of this food. Just so you can have the energy to keep up with us.” Thane lifted the cloche from a dish.
A lobster sat on the tray. Her mouth watered. Yes, that was a great plan, but she couldn’t let him get away with that bit of teasing.
“Maybe you should eat up yourself, because you’re going to need all the energy you can get.” She swept her eyes over Thane. “Before the night’s over, I want to hear you all yell my name.”
“Challenge accepted.” Thane uncovered another platter full of steaks.
