My heart’s being disintegrated by stomach acid, which is fine because it seems I won’t be needing it anytime soon, or ever. If Donna has figured out Harrison’s the father, how many other people have figured it out? I need to get out of Vegas, and soon. I have a good nest egg saved from being in the Triplets. I could get my mother and daughter out of Nevada, and restart saving up again for my yoga studio.
I may vomit as I plan my escape.
But, I have no other choice.
“Stop it. I can see you panicking and probably making some stupid plan that will get you into more trouble. You came from Harrison’s club, and you had a daughter that had some of his features. I’ve been in the business a long time. You aren’t the first woman to be tricked by a piece of shit.”
“Yeah, but I’m the only one worrying about that daughter. I’m the only one who can protect her.”
Donna’s eyebrow shoots up. “I don’t believe that and if you pulled your head out of your ass you’d see you’re spouting nonsense. Those three sexy beasts care about you, and Felicity. Axel seems to care especially hard. All they wanted to do was make sure you were safe. I even voiced my guess of Felicity’s father. Axel refused to tell me if I was right or not, but the fear in his face was all I needed to confirm what I already knew.”
My stomach moves, dislodging my heart which no longer allows the acid to eat at it. Unfortunately, my heart’s now lodged in my throat. Donna takes my silence as consent to keep talking, which is fine by me because at the moment I’m mute.
“Sindy and Lacey called me last night crying because you were thinking about quitting the Triplets. That’s my business, the three of you girls together have been making me a lot of money, and you know I like money. I was going to talk to you today when you came in if you hadn’t changed your mind about being with the Triplets. When Axel and those other sexy men walked in I got my answer as to what was happening. Now it was my turn to protect you and my money.”
“I didn’t want anyone to know about Harrison. I also don’t want to be a problem. Donna, you’ve been nothing but nice to me. When I needed to get away from Harrison you opened your club to me without any questions, and I appreciate that. You also said you don’t tolerate drama, and here I am bringing you all sorts of it.”
Donna lifts her perfectly painted-matte lips into a smile. “You also brought in three perfect specimens of men, so I forgive you. Don’t worry about Harrison, he's not getting anywhere near you while you’re here. And from the intensity on Axel’s face, Harrison’s not getting anywhere near you while you’re at home. I’ve got this taken care of. You just keep on dancing and bringing in the money. I have a feeling you’re not going to be with me that much longer.” Donna pats my shoulder, motioning for Markus to come back to walk me to my car.
The whole drive home I go over what Donna said to me. My phone beeps with a message. I pull it out of my purse at a stop light, there’s a text from Axel. I quickly scan it before the light turns green.
“I’m thinking about you,” the text reads.
I smile when another text comes through right after, “And if you’re mad about me coming to your work then you can get creative with my punishment later.”
I laugh as a horn honks behind me and I drop my phone back into my purse. I can’t help but smile the rest of the way home. When I get into the driveway, I glance over at Axel’s house. I know he’s not home, but a small part of me wishes he was. Instead of getting out of the car, I grab my phone and call Axel.
“Hey.”
My smile gets bigger just hearing his voice. “Hey.”
When we are both silent Axel finally talks. “Don’t be mad at me.”
“I can’t believe you went to my club.”
“Emma, like I told you this morning, you’re mine. I take care of what’s mine. With our club getting ready to open I’m not going to be able to be with you as much as I want. I was just making sure you were safe when I’m not around.”
“I’ve been taking care of myself for a long time without you.”
“But now you don’t have to.” His voice has an edge to it giving me a hint that I need to let him off the hook.
“Well, I guess since you’re not going anywhere I’m going to have to get creative tonight with your punishment.”
Axel starts to say something, but then I hear his mouth snap shut. “I’ll be right back,” he shouts most likely to his brothers. I listen to him walk away until it’s quiet. “You had me there for a second.” His voice is husky.
My nipples pebble knowing what happens when he uses that voice. “Good.” My voice is barely a whisper.
“I’m going to get out of here as soon as I can. I think I was really bad and should be thoroughly punished.”
“I agree. Now hurry up.”
“Fuck, now I have a hard on and I have to go work with my brothers.”
I laugh into the phone. “See you soon.” I hang up to the sound of him groaning.
“Mommy.” Felicity’s on the couch cuddled against my mom. Her face is pale and from the sheen on her forehead she’s clammy.
“What’s the matter, baby?” I rush over to her, kissing her forehead and instantly feel her fever.
“She didn’t want to eat her dinner and fell asleep early. When she woke up a couple hours ago she had a fever. I gave her some medicine. We’ve been on the couch waiting for you to get home,” my mother says, giving me the rundown as I grab some pedialyte from the fridge.
I doze off with Felicity on the couch as we watch cartoons. Her fever broke earlier and since she missed dinner she stuffed herself with food.
And now she wakes up in a rush and runs to the bathroom to get sick.
Mothering at its finest.
I hold her blonde hair off her neck.
“Is everything ok?” Axel asks, leaning against the door jam.
I didn’t even hear him come inside. “Yeah, she just caught a little bug.”
“Hey, superhero.” Felicity tries her best to beam up at him.
“Hey, little one.” Axel bends down, picking Felicity up to feel her forehead. “How are you feeling?”
“My belly hurts.” Felicity puts her head on his shoulder, her body still exhausted from fighting her fever.
“What do we do now?” Axel asks, his face pale as he holds my daughter.
“We hang out on the couch, watch some cartoons, and hopefully take a nap.” I yawn, stretching as I walk over to him.
The three of us are on the couch. Axel on one side and I’m on the other. Felicity has her head on my lap and her feet on Axel’s. We watch cartoons until Felicity complains she’s hungry. Learning my lesson, I have her sip water and nibble on some Saltine crackers. After she’s full, she passes out, and Axel carries her to bed.
“Is she going to be ok?” he asks.
I love how worried he looks, and it makes my heart grow even more. “Kids get sick all the time. Her fever broke so she should be fine.”
Axel’s shoulders are still tense as I lead him to my bed. We both fall asleep on top of the covers with our clothes still on.

Axel
Something small is poking my nose. I shoo it away with my hand. A little giggle fills the room, waking me up. With gritty eyes, I see Felicity staring at me with a smile on her face, her finger coming in for another poke. I catch her hand and put my other one on her forehead. She’s still a little warm, but thankfully her face isn’t as flushed as it was last night, or should I say this morning.
“Hey, how are you feeling?” I keep my voice quiet, not wanting to wake up Emma.
“I don’t feel so good.” Her lips pout and how can I deny her face.
“I know, baby girl. Come on let’s let your mommy sleep.” I sneak out into the living room where I find Janet.
“Hey baby. I told you not to wake up your mommy.” Janet turns around, jumping a bit when she sees me and not Emma. “Well good morning, I didn’t know you were here.”
“Felicit
y was sick last night. I helped Emma take care of this little monster.” I pick up Felicity and hug her. Felicity must not feel good because instead of squirming and laughing she lays her head on my shoulder.
“You guys could’ve come and got me. I would’ve helped.” Her protest is feeble as if she likes the fact I stayed all night to help her daughter and granddaughter.
“It wasn’t a big deal.”
“Do you want some breakfast?” Felicity shakes her head against my shoulder.
“I need you to eat something,” I tell her, taking her into the kitchen to see what I can entice her with.
After convincing her to drink some water and eat some crackers, I check the time. It’s been long enough and I give her another dose of medicine, hoping this one will knock out the remaining sickness.
“What do you want to do now?” I ask as Felicity nibbles on another cracker.
“Cartoons?”
We head into the living room and I find a cartoon with superheroes on. Janet explains that since Felicity has superheroes living next door she has abandoned all her normal princess-y shows for superhero ones.
As she should. Ha.
I look down at Felicity’s little body and it’s so small compared to mine, and the primal need to protect her takes over. There’s no way I will let Harrison scare her ever again. The force of wanting her and Emma to be safe almost knocks the breath out of me. When Emma told me about Harrison showing up at her place threatening her, I almost lost my shit. It took everything in me not to go and beat the shit out of him, ensuring he would never come near my girls again. Hell, I still want to. Going to Emma’s work to guarantee she was safe made me feel weak. I wanted to smash something, that something being Harrison, but Damien and Ben convinced me to be reasonable, even though they seem almost as pissed off as I am.
Felicity stares up at me and gives me a cheeky grin, saying I’m way better than the hero on TV.
“I’m stronger, too.”
Felicity giggles and Janet gives me a knowing glance. Damien’s right—another one of the Trifecta has been lost to a woman. Well for me, it’s two.
Felicity gets restless and another swipe of her forehead with my palm shows her fever is gone.
“Can we go play outside?” Her face looks up at me, making my heart squeeze, but I also know she’s not ready for strenuous activity just yet.
“Why don’t we color?”
Her face lights up. The smile she graces me with shows almost all of her teeth. She scrambles off the couch.
“You have to be quiet. You don’t want to wake up Mommy.” Felicity nods before making her way down the hallway as quiet as she can be.
“You’re good with her,” Janet says with a big smile.
“She’s a great kid.”
“I meant Emma.”
I take a deep breath, letting her words sink into my soul. “I want nothing more than for her to be happy. Having the three of you move next door was the best thing that’s happened in my life, and when I find something worthwhile I don’t let it go.”
Now it’s time for Janet to let what I said sink in. She studies me, and I don’t hide what I’m feeling. I refuse to tell her I love Emma, not until I tell Emma first, but I let her see it on my face. She smiles before looking down the hallway making sure Felicity hasn’t come back yet. “She was hurt by Felicity’s dad. She still hasn’t told me that story, but I have a feeling she’ll open up to you if she hasn’t already.”
I keep my gaze steady. Emma trusted me with her secret. I’m not going to let her down by telling anyone, even if it’s my future mother-in-law. When she realizes I’m not going to say anything she opens her mouth, but Felicity comes back with a stack of coloring books and crayons, stopping us both from saying anymore.
I’m working on a cool fucking black bunny with big yellow eyes when Emma comes into the room. She has a short pink robe tied around her, covering the shorts she’s wearing making it appear like she’s naked under the thin material. My eyes roam over her, the caveman in me wanting to pick her up and carry her back into her room.
Emma rakes me up and down before moving her focus off me. “Why aren’t you coloring, Felicity?”
It takes me a moment to realize Felicity has abandoned me. I was so intent on making this bunny the coolest bunny ever colored, I didn’t notice Felicity left her half-finished picture and curled up on her grandma’s lap.
“I was tired,” Felicity answers, getting up and hugging her mother.
Emma touches Felicity’s head and she sighs in relief when she doesn’t feel a fever.
“I gave her a dose of medicine about three hours ago.”
Emma comes over and sinks down next to me. “That’s quite a bunny you have there.”
“That’s quite a robe you have there.” I answer, trying to keep my heated gaze off her since her daughter and mother are like four feet away.
Emma leans in, whispering in my ear, “You should see what’s under it.”
My dick surges at her low voice brushing against my ear. I lean further into the coffee table hoping to hide my arousal. “You’re going to pay for that.”
“I hope so.” Emma grabs the crayon from me finishing the back foot I’d been working on.
After we finish our badass bunny, I yawn and stretch my muscles. I can’t hide the smirk when I catch Emma’s eyes roam over the patch of stomach I revealed when lifting up my arms. She has it just as bad as I do.
“Why don’t you go lay down. You let me sleep in now it’s my turn.”
“I should go work out,” I say without conviction.
Emma rubs my abs, causing my cock to stand at attention again, just when I had it calmed down. “I think you can miss a day.”
I give her a shocked look, and she rolls her eyes. “Alright, you can work out later. Go take a nap.”
It doesn’t take much coaxing. I lay down on the cool sheet of Emma’s bed. I find the pillow that holds her scent the strongest and stuff it under my head, falling asleep as soon as I get it where I want it.
“Hey, sleepyhead.”
I reach out and grab Emma’s waist pulling her against me. “Much better.”
Emma snuggles closer to me, her leg draping over my thigh. “You didn’t seem to mind not having me next to you while you slept. You were sleeping deep.”
“Doesn’t mean it’s not better with you wrapped around me. Where’s Felicity and your mom?”
“They’re in my mom’s room watching cartoons. Felicity’s still getting better so she doesn’t have all of her energy just yet.”
I inhale Emma’s hair pulling her even closer to me.
“Take a shower with me,” she whispers.
Emma has now officially woke every part of my body up. My cock pushes against her stomach and she grinds back against me.
Without letting her go, I get off the bed. I walk us both into Emma’s bathroom and shut the door, locking it before setting Emma down.
She watches as I untie the sash of her robe. I push the robe off her shoulders letting it fall to the floor. Emma’s in a white tank top and small shorts with little ducks on them.
“You’re fucking beautiful, do you know that?”
She sucks in a deep breath, smiling at my compliment.
I take the hem of her tank top and lift it off until her arms are up in the air. “Don’t move,” I order, wrapping the material around her wrists.
Emma’s tits are high, her breathing makes them rise and fall. “Mine,” I growl before descending down on one perky nipple and sucking it into my mouth.
Emma gasps as her knees wobble, but I don’t stop sucking. I wrap my arm around her ass keeping her on her feet as I suck and nibble on one nipple before switching to the other.
“Please.” Her plea has my cock throbbing to be inside of her.
I pull down her shorts and panties in one movement. Getting on my knees I look up to see Emma staring at me, her breath coming out in short pants. Her arms still above her head, the tank to
p binding her wrists together.
“Mine.” I pull her legs apart, licking her as she stands.
Her arms come crashing down and she holds onto my head since they’re still tied together.
I don’t think I’ll ever tire of this woman. In fact, I know I won’t.
“Oh my god.” Emma’s legs wobble as I find her clit and suck it into my mouth.
I keep going with one hand on her lower back to keep her from falling. Emma’s thighs shake as I insert a finger inside her and pump it in and out. She’s so wet that I groan against her.
“I’m coming,” she whispers before I feel her pulse around me.
I press harder on her lower back as her legs no longer seem to want to hold her up. When I’ve wrung everything I can from her, I stand up getting rid of her tank top and my clothes. With a twist of a knob, I turn the shower on and carry Emma inside.
The water soaks us in its heat. Emma sags against me, pushing her hair back giving me an unobstructed view of her face.
“Mine.”
She stares at me as her fingers trace my stomach muscles. “Yours.”
That one word punctures through my soul, burying itself into my heart. I slam my lips to hers. She kisses me back, both of us clawing at each other, wanting to get as close as possible.
I need inside this woman before I die. My blood pumps through my veins at warp speed, igniting every cell with desire. If I don’t get to feel this woman again right now, I don’t know what I’ll do.
She moves closer, and I keep kissing her like my life depends on it.
My dick’s so hard and it’s all ready for her. I grab the shaft, stroking it with my hand. Emma licks her lips, ready for me to take her here in the shower.
The moment my dick gets buried inside her heat we both groan. Our eyes stay locked together as I pull out of her, and then thrust back in. I can’t stop myself. I need to possess this woman.
“I can’t be gentle,” I tell her. My body burns red hot with the need to fuck her.
“I don’t want you to be.”
And then I push her up against the tile, slamming my hard cock deep inside her. She moans out as I keep pushing and digging further and further. I want to be so buried inside her. I squeeze her ass and she bites into my shoulder to keep from crying out.
