He clenched his fists repeatedly, and reminded himself that shattering Clarence Pendergrath’s jaw would be like signing his own death warrant.
Logan popped Clarence on the back of the head. “That’s my little sister, and I told you to keep your mouth shut,” he growled.
“Well, now, that’s very good, Clarence. The tongue and the mouth are excellent ways to activate all of the erogenous zones.”
They moved on to the energy required to achieve an erection and then to achieve orgasm.
Mentor Soleus began handing out condoms, and instructing the boys to open them and become familiar with them.
“This is worse than I remember,” Logan whined. Rainer nodded his defeated agreement. Soleus offered Rainer a condom.
“I’m good, thanks,” Rainer assured him.
To his horror, with an excited nod, Soleus turned back to the class. “Now, can anyone tell me why Officer Lawson might not ever need a condom?”
Several hands raised, and Rainer felt blood pool violently in his cheeks.
Clarence’s hand shot up first, and Soleus called on him again. “’Cause you can’t get your hand pregnant.”
Rainer rolled his eyes. He wasn’t sixteen. He felt no need to make a comeback quip.
Logan caught a handful of Clarence’s hair. He jerked his head backwards. “How many times do I have to tell you to shut it?”
“Now, Clarence,” Mentor Soleus scolded patiently, “masturbation is a perfectly natural and normal part of life. It’s certainly not something we would poke fun at.” Soleus turned and called on another student.
“Officer Lawson is going to marry Emily Haydenshire. She’s Gifted, so he can seal her off. He doesn’t need a condom to keep from getting her pregnant,” the student replied dutifully.
“That is only partially true, David,” Soleus corrected. Towing the party line, he continued, “You are correct that Miss Haydenshire is Gifted. Her womb can be casted and sealed; however, that decision should be up to her, not up to Officer Lawson.”
Rainer clenched his jaw to keep from throttling Soleus and demanding that he stop discussing Emily and her womb. He drew a steadying breath, and exchanged a furious look with Logan.
Soleus began explaining the proper way to put on a condom, and Rainer willed the clock to move faster. A lengthy discussion about how the use of condoms can prevent STDs, whether you’re with a Gifted or Non-gifted woman, ensued.
The family-planning portion of the class was more tolerable, but then Soleus cupped his hand and pulled up another set of charts. There was one of the female reproductive organs and one of the male.
He added two clear overlays that showed thermographic scans of the storehouses of energy in the organs.
Rainer shook his head as most of the class began attempting to copy the female print. They made precise notes on the places where the thermoscans glowed bright red.
As the students worked furiously, Soleus went on to discuss the sperm and egg portion of the class.
“Oh good, another diagram,” Logan huffed indignantly as Soleus projected another chart of an egg inside a uterus, and then proceeded to pretend to be a sperm, swimming towards the egg through the classroom.
Rainer and Logan choked back laughter, as did the rest of the class.
Soleus gave the class the last thirty minutes to ask questions. Clarence tried to raise his hand, but Logan jerked it back down. “No,” he reprimanded.
It reminded Rainer of the way Mrs. Haydenshire would lightly pop Keaton’s hand when he reached for the stove.
A rather pompous student in the back of the class raised his hand. Soleus called on him immediately. He seemed delighted.
“Yeah, so are you going to teach us how to get a girl to let us do all of this stuff?”
Rainer rolled his eyes, and Logan spat under his breath, “Why don’t you try being old enough to shave first?”
“Ah, Joshua, are we having a little trouble with the gentler sex? Problems in the department of amore’?” Soleus drawled.
After that it appeared every other student in the class was afraid to ask questions, Rainer breathed a sigh of relief when the bell rang.
Soleus dismissed the class with, “Now, tomorrow we will be discussing the art of pleasuring yourself and your partner.”
With shuddering remorse, Logan and Rainer led Clarence to the dining hall.
“You stay the hell away from Tilly McIntyre,” was Logan’s warning as Clarence slunk off to sit with the few students who could tolerate him for longer than five minutes.

The Subconscious Mind
Fergus approached them as they went through the serving line. He looked frantic.
“Hey, Ferg, what’s up?” Logan quizzed, after asking for two helpings of spaghetti.
“Can I, uh, talk to you, please?”
“Well, I was kind of under the impression we were talking now.” Logan was clearly still agitated from Soleus’s class.
“I know,” Fergus glanced around nervously, “but could maybe just the three of us talk, you know, over lunch, privately?”
Rainer furrowed his brow. “Yeah, Ferg, but we have to keep an eye on Clarence. We can’t leave him alone in the cafeteria.”
Fergus, of all people, should understand that.
“Oh yeah, I know, and thank you. I was just wondering if we could sit together, alone?”
Logan sighed, “Whatever, let’s just go. I’m hungry.”
Fergus directed them to a quiet table in a back corner of the vast dining hall. Rainer made certain that Clarence was still seated and eating, before he sat down and dug into his food.
There was a hushed buzz all around the room. Students who’d already been to their Health and Wellness classes and those who were anxious to attend were discussing what they’d learned or what they hoped to learn.
Rainer tried desperately not to think about everything he’d heard over the last two and half hours, though his brain seemed unwilling to cooperate.
It was so much more than charts and graphs and lewd comments from sixteen-year-old idiots. He knew what it meant, how amazing it felt, and he was desperate for Emily to come home and be with him.
He felt weak as he gave in momentarily and allowed the feeling of pushing into her flood through his body. It was exquisite, the tight heat and the silky folds as she took him in. He almost whimpered audibly, but then shut those thoughts down.
Logan and Rainer were quietly eating. Neither of them had given Fergus’s request too much thought, until he cleared his throat. They raised their heads to study him. He looked green and seemed unable to eat.
With a quizzical glance at Logan, Rainer furrowed his brow.
“Everything ok, man?”
“I don’t know, maybe,” Fergus answered cryptically.
“You don’t know?” Logan quizzed.
“Well, I mean I guess…I just wondered… if maybe…I could ask you something?” he stumbled over his words.
“Sure,” Logan shrugged. He was still devouring his lunch. Fergus seemed to try to draw on deep resolve.
An ominous feeling settled in the pit of Rainer’s stomach.
“Since I’m a mentor’s aid this year, I have to help one of the Health and Wellness mentors with their class next period, and you know what they’re teaching this week.” He choked, and his face colored rapidly.
Logan and Rainer shared a morose expression as they nodded.
“Yeah, and I, uh, I’ve never… you know…” Fergus’ face was puce in his embarrassment. “And I wanted to ask you about this anyway because, you know, Tilly kind of wants to.” He grimaced and drew a deep breath. “I don’t know how exactly, and I don’t know what to tell the class,” fell from his mouth in one quick blurt without breath.
“Why is the whole world determined to drive me insane this week?” Rainer huffed to Logan, who offered him a sorrowful expression and then drew a deep breath.
“Here, it’s my turn for this anyway,” he remi
nded Rainer. They shared a knowing chuckle; the one you shared with your best friend since birth, the guy who talked you through your first time.
“Thank you,” Rainer breathed.
“All right, listen up, Ferg, ‘cause I’m not saying all this twice,” Logan commanded. “First of all, you’re a mentor’s aid, so just teach whatever the mentor gives you. I mean, there is a curriculum for this. It’s not all as insane as Soleus’s class.” He grimaced as he recalled the last few hours.
“Second, you and Tilly need to wait until she graduates. Doing that here is stupid and dangerous.” He gestured towards Clarence discreetly.
“Well, what if I don’t want to wait ‘til she graduates?” Fergus argued.
Rainer rolled his eyes.
“I dated Adeline for four years, four long, long years before we did that, and unless you’re sure she’s the one you want to be with then you shouldn’t do it at all,” Logan vowed.
Rainer gave him an impressed smile. “Rainer and Emily have been together since he was like, four, so he waited seventeen years. I think you can make it a few more months.”
“Whatever,” Fergus dismissed. “So, if we decide not to wait, what should I do first?”
Rainer let his eyes close as images of him tearing off Emily’s clothes and running his hands all over her body, while he devoured her mouth, and then sucked her nipples cemented firmly in his mind.
The things they did first. Rainer’s mind reeled as he stifled a groan. He envisioned Emily’s head falling back as she hoisted her breasts in his face. His ravenous hands groping her and feeling her ripen and swell for him. He longed to grasp her hand and make her feel how hard she made him.
Rainer swallowed down the lust quickly as he tried not to make it obvious that he was panting.
“Fergus,” Logan drawled dejectedly.
“Come on, please. I have no one else to talk to about this.”
Logan rolled his eyes. “I’d suggest taking your clothes off.”
“Right,” Fergus nodded as if Logan had just given him the answer to a deep, philosophical question.
“So, do I take her clothes off first, or does she do that, and I take mine off, or does she take mine off?”
“Geez, Fergus,” Logan spat. “It doesn’t matter. Whatever works for you is fine.”
Rainer stepped in with a sigh. “Has Tilly ever been with anyone?” He didn’t really want to know the answer to the question he’d asked.
“No,” Fergus shook his head.
Rainer nodded, and hoped that answering Fergus’s questions might make them able to change the subject faster. “Then you need to be careful. I still don’t think you’ve been together long enough to be talking about this, but the first time is a little rough.” Rainer was growing more frustrated the longer he talked.
“Rough, how? Why?” Fergus urged.
Logan stepped up to bat.
“It’s gonna,” he hemmed and clenched his jaw momentarily before he forced, “it’s gonna hurt her a little.”
Rainer and Logan both flinched from the memory.
“Why?” Fergus demanded.
“Geez, Ferg, you took the class you’re teaching in a few minutes,” Logan spat.
“No, I didn’t. That’s why I need you. My mom would never let me.”
As Rainer thought back, he did remember that Fergus was one of the two or three students whose parents refused to let them take the Amorous Energies portion of the Health and Wellness classes. They would sit in the library, and work on a term paper on energies of the body instead.
Logan and Rainer spent the rest of lunch giving Fergus a brief overview of sex, much to their chagrin.
By the end of their very long, arduous day, Rainer grabbed a beer from the fridge and loaded cold pizza onto a plate. He retired to his room to text with Emily.
* * *
Rainer stood in the hallway of the farmhouse, just outside Emily’s bedroom. His heart raced. He could hear her. She was giving hungry, fleeting moans.
Intrigued, Rainer pushed open the door. She was laid out on her bed in a low cut, black, silk nightie. It hung off of her and obscured nothing at all. Her legs were spread wide. Her hair was splayed across her pillows offering him a delicious view.
It was stifling in the house. Her windows were flung open wide. The hot, humid air hung thickly with the sweet, musky scent of her and of sex. With every haggard breath, he inhaled her arousal and her need.
A light breeze moved her curtains, and Rainer watched her nipples tighten and pucker. He stared intently. His breath was ragged as she lightly dragged her fingertips over herself. She traced and opened her lips. She was swollen, wet, throbbing, and moaning. She dipped her fingers deep then drew them back out. Her body writhed as she caressed herself.
A low guttural growl escaped Rainer, and she turned her head. Her eyes flashed wildly as she saw him.
“Come and watch,” she cooed seductively. She beckoned him with her hand, and he moved to her.
“Need some help, baby?” he panted and ached for her to do more. She gave him a heavy, sultry nod. She spread her hand, separating herself, and showed him exactly how she wanted to be touched. Another loud moan echoed from her. Rainer stared, unable to take his eyes off of the erotic display.
“You have to be quiet, baby. Your parents will hear you.” His voice was low and thrumming from his ardent desire.
“I don’t care,” she urged in a heated pant. “I need you.” She kept her body moving in sensuous, writhing arcs. “I want you to take me hard, now. I want everyone to hear how you make me scream.”
She moved her hand from her lips and grasped him. He realized suddenly that he wasn’t wearing anything.
“Mmmm, you’re so big,” she gasped out her adulation and contorted her body. She lifted her breasts upward. As the nightie fell away, she spun her other hand around her nipples. “You feel amazing inside of me,” she kept her body writhing in need.
“Fuck me, Rainer. Make me take it. Right now.” She flipped on all fours and shook her luscious ass in his face.
A loud quaking groan echoed from his chest as he reached and pulled her over him. He forced himself in with deep, unrelenting thrusts.

Rainer awoke with a gasp. He was clinging to the bed and panting for breath. He shook his head several times, and tried to pull himself from the lurid fantasy.
It had been a very long time since he’d had a dream like that, and he wasn’t certain what he should do next.
After rubbing his eyes fiercely and trying to steady his racing heartbeat, he turned over. He was extremely embarrassed, though he was entirely alone. His phone chirped. Still trying to regulate his breathing and heartbeat, he picked his cell up off of the nightstand.
‘Rainer are you awake,’ was the text from Emily.
‘Yeah, baby. What’s wrong? Why aren’t you sleeping?” he texted back quickly. He was still gasping for breath.
‘I just miss you. I woke up thinking about you.’
Well that makes two of us, he thought wryly.
‘Yeah, me too. Dreaming about you actually.’ he admitted via text.
‘Aww, feeling fourteen again? ;)’
He could almost see the smirk he knew she was wearing.
Certain that she knew entirely too much about male anatomy, thanks to living with seven older brothers, Rainer blushed again.
‘Yeah, actually, thanks for pointing that out,’ he replied.
‘Don’t worry, baby. I’ll be home in three days to take care of you,’ was her response.
Rainer fought not to text for her to come home now and take care of him. He ordered himself not to tell her how badly he wanted her and needed to be with her. He longed to demand that he be able to feel her all around him.
With a determined clench of his jaw, he typed, “I can’t wait,” before getting up and heading to the bathroom.

Because of Who You Are
The next morning, Rainer fell
into his seat at the table. He yawned deeply and noted that Logan quickly got off of the phone after commenting, “Yeah, he deposited it. Gotta go.”
“Rough night?” Logan quizzed as he hung up his phone. He looked concerned.
“I didn’t sleep all that well,” Rainer admitted.
Logan gave a slight chuckle. “We still counting days, or have we switched the countdown to hours?”
“Three days, eight hours,” Rainer joined in Logan’s laughter.
“That a count down ‘til she lands or ‘til you land her?”
After thinking that Logan had really been an outstanding friend through Emily’s trip, Rainer grinned. “Three days, eight hours, plus however long it takes me to fly home from the airport, and then an additional two maybe two and half minutes,” he allowed as Logan cracked up.
“Better make it two and a half. You know girls like foreplay.”
A few minutes later, Adeline joined them at the table, and Logan seemed to remember something, “Have you checked your phone this morning?”
Rainer took another bite of his cereal and pulled his phone from his pocket.
“Not since I took a shower,” he commented as he turned on the screen. He had a text from Mrs. Haydenshire.
Logan backed away and pretended to shield Adeline. “Careful, baby, he’s about to blow.”
Adeline gave Logan a scolding glance, “Be nice,” she urged.
Rainer read through the text and tried not to whimper.

‘Hey boys,’ it began. Rainer assumed Logan had received the same text. ‘Just wanted to see what time you’ll be over for Emily’s welcome home party. If you want, Rainer, the boys and I could pick her up at the airport. That way you don’t have to leave early from work. Nana’s already making meatballs. We’ll have dinner early, and then we can all hear about her trip. She can finally meet Lily Ana.’
