Your Fallen Star: Under the Stars Book 1 Page 23

by Raleigh Ruebins

So I sucked, firm and rhythmic, until I got him to a place where I knew he was on his way. And then I paused, standing up, and put my hand to his mouth. I traced my fingers over his lips gently, and then pressed my middle finger to them. He took it in his mouth and the warm wetness sent a jolt through my cock. It was so good I wanted to linger there, to give him my fingers one by one and then my tongue, but I knew there was no time. I’d had a reason for giving him just one.

I slowly slipped my finger out and gave him a slow kiss before dropping down to my knees again. I took his cock back into my mouth and then reached up under his thighs, to his ass, where I circled his hole with my slicked middle finger.

“Oh my God,” he said, “I didn’t know you were… oh my God. Fuck.” His expletive came as I gently pressed my middle finger inside of him as I kept working my mouth over his cock. I worked him fast, applying firm and gentle pressure to his prostate with my finger. I knew what Jamie liked—I really knew, now, and it was clear that the more I touched him, the better it got. We had developed a sense for each other that made us do ridiculous things like stealing off to a closet at the Golden Globes and coming in each other’s mouths. Or at least, he was going to come in my mouth, and I couldn’t fucking wait.

I listened to his breath and felt his hand tightening against my hair as I moved along his cock. He began to hitch his hips forward in rhythm with my mouth and it was amazing, feeling him warm to my touch and grow desperate for release so quickly.

“Oh wow,” he said, his voice low. “I’m already—I’m already close.”

As if he even had to tell me. I knew he was close, and it only made me press deeper inside of him, and take him further back into my throat.

“Oh God, Leo, oh fuck I fucking love you—”

Hearing him say that to me was still a thrill, and I worked him faster, wanting so badly to make him happy.

“I’m gonna—I’m coming, Leo,” he said, and I felt his hands tense around my head as he pushed deep into my mouth, filling me as he came, my finger still deep inside of him. He moaned as he held me there and I felt his cock twitch and throb. I swallowed and sucked again gently as I slowly pulled my finger out of him.

“Leo fucking Stone,” he said, breathless, as I stood up again, “I love you so goddamn much.” He pulled me into a deep kiss and I leaned against the wall, so hard but knowing I would need to get control of myself before we went back out there.

“I love you too, Jamie. And fuck, I need to be 100% less hard before we go back out in front of live TV cameras.”

He started to zip up. “You are getting so well paid back for that when we get home,” he said, looking at me with half-lidded eyes. I smiled, nodding.

“Yes. That sounds incredible. But Jamie, that is really not helping. I need to get rid of my erection, not make it harder.”

He laughed. “Okay. Um. Think about… that woman who was sitting at the table behind us.”

“Ugh,” I said, wincing. “Okay, that works. Almost too well.” She had been applying perfume earlier in the night and for some reason sprayed it in incredible amounts, rendering the zone a toxic floral zone for at least an hour. It was headache-inducing.

“So,” Jamie said, “you ready to go back out?”

I nodded. “I’m gonna stop by the restroom and wash my hands and then let’s go back out.”

We cleaned up in the nearby restroom and headed back into the auditorium. Amazingly, it seemed like we had near perfect timing, because one minute after sitting back down in our chairs, the nominees for Best Television Series were announced. The person reading them off was some young actress I wasn’t familiar with.

“And the nominees for Best Television Series are….”

I squeezed Jamie’s leg underneath the table.

  “Redemption… Yolanda’s Rules… The Chamber… Zion… and Made Contact.”

I turned to Jamie and smiled as a camera man zoomed in close to his face, and his beautiful smile was plastered onto television screens across the nation. None of whom would know he had come in my mouth five minutes ago.

There was an electric pause as the woman opened up the envelope on stage. I knew Jamie had a good chance of winning—Made Contact was incredible, if I may say so myself as the creator of its musical score—but Jamie was somehow convinced that Yolanda’s Rules would win.

“And the winner for Best Television Series is….”

I could sense Jamie freaking out in the seat next to me.

“Made Contact,” she said, and the audience erupted into applause.

“Oh my God!” Jamie exclaimed, a huge smile spreading across his face. “Holy shit!” He stood up and I stood too, embracing him in a hug and kissing him.

I sat back down and watched as he got up on stage with the show’s main director, producers, and lead cast.

“Thank you. Thank you so much,” Jamie said, as the audience quieted down. “First off, I want to give a shout out to my older sister Mary—I know she’s watching from home, and I have to say hi,” Jamie said, giving his smile right to the camera.

“Wow. I have to say that while Made Contact was my baby for a long time, the show would not exist without so many important people in my life. First of all, to all the people who helped make this show happen—Gabriel at Netflix who was the first one to give the script a chance, as well as Mark, Cindy, and Vince at the studio.”

Jamie went on to give an amazingly gracious list of thanks to all of the people who’d helped to make the show a success. I knew that he hadn’t written any sort of acceptance speech, and it was amazing seeing him up there and doing so well—remembering everyone, not stumbling at all.

“…And lastly, I want to thank my incredible boyfriend Leo. I don’t know if I’d even have made it in Los Angeles without him, and so this award is for him, too. I love you. Thank you so much!”

The audience applauded again as Jamie and the others were ushered backstage. For the whole speech, I’d been holding back tears, and now, I couldn’t stop a couple of them from falling.

His show—our show—had become so much more than we ever could have imagined. And Jamie had made me a better person than I’d ever thought possible.

I was so proud of him.

  I. Had. A. Fucking. Golden. Globe.

“This is the best fucking night ever,” I said to Leo as we got into the car at the end of the show. We’d gotten black cars to take us to and from the show—and already that was fancy enough—but now I was going home with a Golden Globe in my hands.

“Back to your residence, Mr. Stone?” the driver asked.

“Um… actually, could you take us to Estrella Cliffs?” Leo turned to me with a smile. “I don’t wanna go home yet. You’re right. This night is too good.”

“Hell yeah. I love Estrella Cliffs. Let’s do it.” It was one of the most beautiful places in the city—a small cliff with a sweeping view of the Los Angeles city lights.

The drive took a little under 45 minutes, and I spent most of the time leaning against Leo and replaying the night in my head. I could not imagine how it could possibly be any better.

Finally we arrived, and I stepped out, glancing over the incredible view. Los Angeles looked alive from up here—twinkling, moving, and absolutely gorgeous. Leo said something to the driver and then he drove back down the hill.

“Wait,” I said, “you told him to leave? How are we gonna get back?”

“I just told him to take a loop around the block for a while,” Leo said, coming up behind me and wrapping me in his arms. “I wanted some private time with you.”

“Oh,” I said, raising my eyebrows and spinning around in his arms to look him in the eyes. “I know what you’re after.”

  “What?” Leo said.

“You want payback from earlier tonight. No problem, Leo, I’ll just blow you here on this cliff. All of Los Angeles can watch.”

“That’s not really what I had in mind, my love,” he said, and then he was down on the ground. />
“Oh,” I said, “Me? Again? I mean, I’m not gonna say no, but wow, Leo—”

“Jamie,” he said, pulling something out of his pocket.

“Wha—oh!” I said, my eyes shooting wide open. My heart rate skyrocketed immediately as I began to realize what was happening.

Leo pulled out a small box and held it up.

“Jamie, I’m not half as good with words as you are, but… you’ve made me happier than I’ve ever been in my entire life. You’re the best person I’ve ever met, and I love you. I’m never going to stop loving you. So….”

He paused, opening the box to expose a ring. It seemed to shine even in the moonlight.

“Jamie, will you marry me?” he said, and I involuntarily brought my hand to my mouth in shock.

“Oh my God,” I said, “Oh my God, holy shit oh my God.”

Leo smiled up at me, waiting.

“Fuck yes!” I said—or really, almost shouted—as I gripped his shoulders in an attempt to pull him up so that I could kiss him. I launched myself around him, wrapping him in my arms and squeezing as tight as I could.

“Holy shit,” I said, “You made me cry for the second time tonight.” I sniffled against his shoulder.

“Me too,” Leo said, and when I pulled back to look at him I saw that he had tears on his face too.

I leaned in and kissed him immediately—kissed the tears from his cheeks, then to his lips, and kissed him deeply.

“You wanna try it on?” he said, when I finally let him go. “I have no clue if it’s the right size.”

“Sure, let’s give it a shot.” I put the ring on and found that it fit nearly perfectly.

“I used your class ring as a reference,” Leo said. “Glad it fits.”

“Oh, Leo,” I said, pulling him into a hug again. “I can’t fucking wait to be your husband.”

“One rule,” he said, “you can’t call me hubby.”

“What?” I said, “Why not, hubby?”

“Oh okay, okay. It sounds good when you say it. Damn it.”

I laughed, wiping away one last stray tear from my eye. I turned and looked out to the city again, as he held me from behind and I swayed in his arms a little.

“I’m so glad I came to this city,” I said, in reverent disbelief.

“I am too. I can’t imagine life without you, Jamie.”

“You know what we should have in our wedding goodie bags?” I said.

  “What? Whiskey?”

“No, no, no,” I said with a laugh, “Gummy bears.”

“Oh, hell yeah,” Leo said, giving me a squeeze and kissing the back of my neck. “Clearly you’re already on track to be the best husband of all time.”

Just mentioning them made me think back to the beginning of this weird, wild ride I’d had with Leo. And as I felt the warm press of his body against mine, I realized how incredibly and genuinely happy I was, and I knew that it was because I could spend the rest of my life with this weird, wild man.

It felt like love—and like the beginning of something amazing.
