It felt like hours later and Jared was kissing her awake. He was dressed now and had brought her breakfast in bed. His attire surprised her as she was used to seeing him in a suit and tie every day at work, and after work he was always dressed in sleek trousers, button down shirts and styled hair. Not this morning though. Today he was wearing camouflage cargo pants, a utility belt and a tight black t-shirt. His hair was still tussled from their earlier passion.

“Suzie sweetie. We are getting ready to gear up and go but I didn’t want to leave without kissing you goodbye,” Jared said, feeding her a grape and arranging pillows behind her so she was propped up. “Stay in bed for a while and relax. You have had a long week. Mom isn’t up yet and Melissa and Tracey are taking the kids to a play date at the playground. It should be quiet. Here,” he said, pressing the button on a remote and handing it to

her. A large screen dropped down at the foot of the bed and the television turned on. “Take some time for yourself today. Mom said to tell you she would be in her studio later this morning and you should come and check it out. It is in the backyard, down the deck steps; follow the path into the trees. You’ll be alright today?”

Laughing, Suzie told him she would be fine. Then she stretched up to hug him and the sheet fell down around her waist. Jared’s eyes and hands went to her pale full breasts. He moaned, holding her tight, grabbing and caressing her. She felt turned on by his new look and she grabbed him by the utility belt and pulled him down on top of her. Jared rubbed his hands up and down her body, stopping to grasp her breasts one at a time while he kissed them with his tongue. At that exact moment, there was a loud knock at the door, which caused it to fly open with Jeff standing in the doorway.

“Man, let’s roll it’s time to…oh.” He stopped suddenly staring at his brother hovering over Suzie. “Sorry bro. Didn’t mean for the door to open. You ready?” Unabashed, his eyes gleamed with laughter as Suzie turned red and rushed to pull the sheet over her chest.

“What the hell. What are you staring for you have your own girlfriend. I was on my way up.” Jared stood to confront his brother.

“I can see that,” Jeff snickered. “Can we go? We picked teams. Dad and the twins versus the rest of them.”

“Fine, I’ll be 30 seconds,” Jeff said, and he shut the door in his brother’s face. He turned back to Suzie. “Sorry, he is such a pig. I am starting to wish we stayed at your place all weekend.”

“No worries. I like it here. I get to see a different side of you. Plus, look at this bed it is so soft and comfy I may stay here all day.” Suzie snuggled down and looked at him. “Now go on and play your game. We can pick up where we left off tonight.”

“Oh yeah. You can count on it.” Jared kissed her again and opened the door to leave. Blowing her a kiss, he closed the door behind him.

Stretching out and wiggling her toes, Suzie smiled happily. Looking around the room she reveled in how simply elegant it was. Gleaming polished wood accented the mossy green walls, and the crisp white linen was soft and exquisite. Changing the channel on the massive screen in front of her, Suzie could not believe it. She was so lucky; with a boyfriend who brought her breakfast in bed and took her to stay in the fanciest place she had ever been. He was amazing. Sighing, Suzie fell asleep again.

When she awoke, she decided she better go be sociable. She hopped in the shower and got dressed. After leaving her room she saw Candy sitting on the couch, painting her toe nails.

  “Hi Candy.”

“Oh hi. You’re Jared’s girlfriend. Sharon?” Candy said motioning her to sit down.

“Suzie. Yeah. I am actually going up to visit with Helen do you want to come?” Suzie asked.

“Nah. I’m good. This place is amazing though right? If I knew Jeff’s parents were loaded I would have hooked up with him a lot sooner,” Candy exclaimed.

“Oh? How long have you two been together?” Suzie asked.

“Since last weekend. A bunch of us were partying and my ex was being a douche. So Jeff punched him and took me home.” Candy laughed and continued. “Then he said he wanted me to come with him this weekend. It is not usually my scene but he’s hot right.”

“Yeah, all the Tiefson men are pretty damn good looking,” Suzie agreed. “Nice eye candy.”

“And your Jared, wow. I told Jeff he could look so good if he cleaned up a bit, like his brother,” Candy said. “You better keep an eye on him. I bet all the girls try for him.”

“Yeah. I guess,” Suzie replied. “Anyway I am going to head upstairs, see you up there later?” She acknowledged Candy’s reply and headed upstairs, laughing to herself about their interaction. Now she was going to Jared’s mom’s painting studio. This might be a really weird day.

On her way outside, Suzie stopped in the kitchen where delicious smelling coffee was ready in the pot. She helped herself to a cup and savored the hot bitter taste while she sat taking in the whole cabin. It had seemed impolite to stare last night with everyone around but this place was a palace. A huge stone fireplace climbed up through the vaulted ceiling. A crystal chandelier hung above her head and every section of the place was elegant yet inviting. Even with the grandkids’ toys lying about, it looked like a picture out of a magazine. Savoring the last few sips out of her cup, she cleaned up after herself and went outside. Suzie crossed the large yard, and followed the stone path to the edge of the forest.

What she saw there stopped her in her tracks. It was her dream studio, with the exact same floor to ceiling windows, on the edge of a pine forest on a hill overlooking a lush valley. For a moment, her eyes became wet with tears as she took in the pure beauty and coincidence of finding this place. From the moment she started painting she had envisioned such a studio, but then she stopped painting to get a job and pay bills and life got in the way. She stood there with her mouth agape, lost in reverie. Then Helen opened the door and waved her in.

“I am so glad you’ve come dear,” she said. “Come in, tell me what you think. It is not too often I have a fellow artist in my midst.”

“Oh I am no artist. I dabbled in University. It is barely a hobby,” Suzie stammered, her eyes drawn to the huge colorful canvases surrounding her.

“Regardless, I would love someone to paint with me. My boys stopped painting with me long ago and my silly husband thinks it is purposeless; the world is full of enough beauty he says. How I love them all. I knew one of my boys would bring an artist home, just didn’t think it would be Jared.” Helen rambled, drawing Suzie into the room and clearing a cluttered easel.

While she chatted she set up another easel and canvas, and directed Suzie to the choices of brushes. Suzie’s eyes sparkled and she had no intention of protesting further. The rich paints and picturesque landscape called to her to release the emotion on paper. Paint the feeling of it. This place made Suzie feel so passionate.

“You’re quieter than I expected,” Helen said, after a quiet period of painting had passed. “Jared led me to believe you were quite the chatterbox, always telling him and your co-workers what to do.”

“It takes me a while to get used to large groups,” Suzie responded. “Your boys put on quite a show.”

“Aren’t they amazing? So similar and yet so different.” Helen shared a small story for each of her children and described their childhood with a smile. The next few hours flew by as Suzie chatted with Helen and focused on her painting. By mid-afternoon they were hungry and ready for a break. They went back to the house and sat on the deck. Helen brought lunch and Suzie went to invite Candy to join them. She did, bringing with her a bottle of wine and three glasses. Sitting around the picnic table, Candy poured three glasses and handed them out.

“To the women in the lives of these Tiefson men,” she said as she raised her glass.

“I’ll drink to that,” Helen said energetically.

Snacking and chatting, Suzie felt herself warming up to these two women who just yesterday were strangers. It was probably the wine talking, but Suzie was glad to
have some girl talk for a change. Later in the afternoon, Melissa and Tracey returned with the kids. As the day wore on, they could hear the boys, all riled up, returning from their paintball adventure.

They were filthy, covered head to toe in bright colored paint splatter. Loudly cheering, fist bumping and high-fiving, Jared and Jeff had obviously been on the winning team. The older brothers were exhausted and made their way up the deck stairs. Helen, who had been in the kitchen bringing snacks out, came rushing outside.

“No way. Get off my deck with that mess. All of you boys get hosed off before you step one foot in this direction.” She pointed at the water hose coiled up beside the deck.

Candy refilled their wine glasses and nudged her in the direction of the hose. All six men had removed their shirts and were rinsing paint off their head and chest. It was like something out of a firefighter calendar. All of the brothers were ripped with muscles and Suzie and Candy both enjoyed the show.

“Well-built men, hey ladies?” Tracey startled them from behind.

“Wow,” was all Suzie could reply as the Tiefson boys showed off to their admirers on the deck. Suzie loved how laid back everyone was and the playful banter that went on. She was actually enjoying herself (maybe it was all the wine) and when Jared finally reached the deck and asked her how her day was, she answered quickly and with excitement, “Fantastic.”

“More importantly who won the game?” Candy asked.

“Team twins, won again.” Jeff swagged over to the table and stood behind Candy. “Though Jared almost fucked it up for us and I had to carry the team.”

“Yeah we let you win,” Jason said, joining them. “If Jeff doesn’t win he is miserable for the rest of the weekend.”

Jeff moved to punch his brother when his dad came out with a tray of drinks. “Cool it boys, stop trying to show off for the ladies. Let’s have a drink and see if we can get that hot tub fired up; I am going to need it after that game today. I am getting too old for this.”

Jared pulled a chair in beside Suzie and leaned on her. Shifting in his seat, he groaned and grabbed his shoulder.

“Are you alright?” Suzie asked. “Here, let me rub it.”

“Oh, sweetie please,” Jared said eagerly, then told the rest of the family. “Suzie used to be a massage therapist and she gives an amazing massage.”

Releasing the knot of tension in Jared’s shoulders, Suzie talked to his family about her career change and finding her passion in graphic design. They were eager to ask her questions until she was ready to change the subject and asked about them. Eventually the Tiefson boys finished their drinks and went to tackle the hot tub. They insisted their dad sit back and they could handle it.

“Fine with me, it will be you guys in there tonight. It will be an early night for me.” He smiled happily at his sons.

“And me,” Helen said. “The girls and I had an exciting day.”

Once again, Candy and Suzie looked at each other and smiled watching the four brothers get the hot tub up and running. Jason was on dad duty that night. Shortly after starting, Johnny left the group and went in. He had a date lined up and, despite cajoling from his brothers, refused to bring her to the cabin. Finally the hot tub was ready and filled, and they just had to wait for it to heat up. Jeff insisted a bottle of wine would help speed things along and by then, Suzie felt more than a little tipsy.

“You did not tell me we would be drinking so much,” she whispered to Jared when he returned to the chair beside her. “I am on my way to being inappropriately drunk.”

“You are fine.” Jared laughed and kissed her cheek. “Besides,” he whispered. “I think Candy is already there.”

They watched as Candy walked towards Jeff and Jeremy who were talking near the hot tub. Still in her five inch heels, she tripped, stumbled and laughed. When she reached them, she wrapped her arms around her boyfriend and kissed him, grinding against his groin. Unfortunately, it was Jeremy, not Jeff and he quickly pushed her away, towards Jeff.

“What the hell!” Tracey exclaimed, looking from her husband to Candy.

“Sorry,” Candy giggled. “All these brothers kind of look the same.” She lurched forward and wavered on her feet. Jeff caught her arm and his eyes darkened. He told her he was taking her to bed.

As he guided her in, Tracey announced she was going to bed and Jeremy went with her. Jared turned to Suzie and pulled her chair close to his.

“That’s my family,” he laughed. “And believe it or not, that is not the first time one of Jeff’s girlfriends has kissed one of the brothers. Different girl, different brother. He sure knows how to pick them.”

Suzie laughed and held Jared’s hand. Night was settling in and it was getting cold. Jared kissed Suzie soft and slow, holding her gently. Rocking her body into his he continued a long kiss, his tongue teasingly slow in her mouth. A tingling feeling filled her and Suzie wanted him to pick her up and take her right there on the deck, but that was not Jared’s style. He slowly caressed her, treating her like a delicate object. Suzie clung to him for warmth and tried to slow her desperate passion.

The door opened and footsteps sounded on the deck, walking toward them. Plugging in patio lanterns, Jeff’s mischievous grin was lit up in blue and silver lighting. “You two at it again. Can’t say I blame you bro, if she were mine she would be naked all the time.”

“Back off BRO.” Jared got up quickly stepping towards his brother angrily. “You have been asking for it since we got here. Keep your eyes off Suzie and your opinions to yourself. Shouldn’t you be downstairs with Candy?”

Jeff stepped forward so the twins were almost chest to chest. “Chill man. You know I will say what I want. It’s a compliment, Suzie is hot. Candy, well she passed out plus since she met you, all I hear non-stop is that I should be more like you. Seems she fancies your pretty boy hair and clothes. Want to switch?”

Knowing his brother was talking about switching girls, Jared punched him. Jeff blocked the punch and pulled Jared into a bear hug. They wrestled with each other for a while and Suzie sat not knowing what to do and too drunk to do anything. She felt out of her element.

Jason opened the door and hissed at his brothers. “My kids just fell asleep and if you wake them up with your bullshit, I will kick both your asses.”

The twins stopped wrestling and looked at their older brother. Jeff encouraged Jason to bring it on. In response, Jason threw a beer at him and Jeff caught it and sat down. Jared still stood, hands on hips looking pissed.

“You know he is going to say whatever he can to get you riled up,” Jason told Jared. He walked over and handed a beer to Jared and sat down. Then he noticed Suzie sitting there and smiled. “Still fighting over girls are you?”

“No I was about to teach Jeff some manners,” Jared insisted moving to get up again.

“Ok chill already,” Jason said. “You two are worse than my kids and I am all done parenting for the day.”

Jason finished his beer quickly, then went and grabbed two more beers from the in-deck bar fridge. He passed one to Suzie asking, “What do you make of all this?”

“Another crisis averted by beer?” Suzie said. Pleased with her quick response she cracked her beer and took a drink.

“Should you be drinking beer after drinking wine all day?” Jared asked. “You must be tired; maybe we should go to bed.” At the second remark, both brothers laughed.

“I am all good,” Suzie slurred, instigating a laugh out of all three brothers. “Plus, after all that aren’t we going to try out the hot tub?”

“Yeah man, I am already in my swimsuit. Though if you are tired, I can keep Suzie company,” Jeff smirked.

This time, Jason hit him and agreed with Suzie that they should all try out the hot tub. Suzie went to her room to change and put on her blue bikini. She forced Jared to go ahead without her because she wanted him to see her new swimsuit with her wearing it. Blue was his favorite color and it accentuated her bright eyes. Covering her large firm breasts we
re two triangles held together by string. She felt sexy in this suit and looked forward to Jared’s reaction. Walking out the door towards the hot tub, Suzie tingled with excitement. Jared, Jeff and Jason were already in the hot tub. They all looked at Suzie as she descended into the hot tub. She walked over and sat next to Jared. Immediately, he grabbed her onto his lap and started kissing her, long, hard, needy.

“You look amazing,” he said and brushed her hair out of her face. He started to kiss her neck while his hands roamed her body.

She grabbed his hands to stop him and pulled away. “We have an audience, again.”

“Yeah, get a room,” Jason said. Jeff winked at them and his leg rubbed up against her.

She shifted and sat beside Jared and kissed him on the cheek. Then she moved her mouth to his ear and whispered, “We’ll pause this till later.”

Jeff brought shots into the hot tub because they were plastic and no glass was allowed. Suzie tried to decline but needed something to distract her from the three shirtless brothers sharing the hot tub with her. The jet spraying between her legs was not helping. Jason shared stories of Jeff and Jared and how they had been rivals since birth. With very different personalities, they often clashed but would fiercely protect each other from anyone else. Jason laughed fondly and then sat up on the edge of the hot tub. His tight shorts showed off a large bulge and Suzie looked away, blushing in the dark. On one side of her was Jared and he stroked her cheek when she smiled at him. On her other side was Jeff and the two could not be more different. Jeff winked at her and asked her how she and Jared met. Suzie told the story of how they had met at work and slowly became friends, how Jared was so patient with her because she was unsure. How their work situation made it difficult because of the no dating policy and that Jared was willing to lose his job to have her.
