Bossing My Fake Fiance: A Brothers' Competition Romance (Irresistible Bosses Book 4) Page 12

The card was handed back to me, and within moments; we were rushing out of the restaurant.

I held on to Tessa’s hand and we ran to the car park. She was laughing and her heels clicked against the concrete pavement. She stopped, removed her shoes, and we continued to run.

By the time we were in the car, we were out of breath. I held the door open for her and she slid in, but I didn’t bother going around to the other side. I followed her in, and she slid over to the driver’s side. I’d barely banged the door shut before I caught her face in my hands.

Tessa gasped when I pulled her to myself. She was panting, but I could sense that was not from the running.

My tongue slipped into her mouth and she wrapped her arms around my neck. Kissing her again felt exhilarating, like it was what I’d been waiting for all my life.

She kissed me back, moaning, and grinding her hips against mine.

I weaved my fingers in her hair, and she weaved hers in mine. I could feel my cock throbbing in my pants, raging for release. When I knew I wouldn’t be able to control myself any longer, I pulled away from her.

Tessa’s eyes were shining bright with desire. I could see how much she wanted me.

“We should go somewhere,” I said. Her lipstick was smudged and her hair looked messy—she was the most beautiful creature I had seen.

“I know a place,” she said with a giggle. I handed her the car keys and she started the engine. Very soon, we were on the road.

I sat back in my seat, watching Tessa’s profile as she drove.

“Where are we going?” I asked. We’d rolled down the windows so the wind was in our hair. Some of the strands of her hair stuck to her lips and she didn’t bother pushing them away.

She looked at me with a grin.

  “Cricket Hill,” She said.

  “Cricket Hill?”

“Yeah, we’ll get to see the city and there won’t be anybody there this time of the night,” she answered.

We fell into silence again, and I looked out at the city passing us by. I didn’t want to overthink this. I didn’t want to worry about the consequences of what was going to happen. Right now, I wanted to live in the moment.

  We both deserved to.

Tessa smiled the whole drive down to Cricket Hill. It appeared to be some sort of park, where she parked the car in a discreet location with a good view of the city.

“Did you want to go for a walk?” I asked her when she unbuckled her seat belt and turned to me.

“That better be a joke!” She said in mock-rage and I leaned towards her.

  This time, I was slow.

I took my time in kissing her, feeling the softness of her cheeks as I held her face in my hand. Tessa kissed me back just as softly and a low moan escaped her lips. Our mouths smacked when we parted, and her eyes were sparkling when I looked into them.

“I’ve been waiting for you to do that to me, Clark,” she said and I gently stroked her forehead.

“All you had to do was ask, Tessa,” I told her and kissed her again.

  Tessa

Tonight was magical. I hadn’t expected it to go this way, but before I even knew what was happening—I was in Clark’s arms, in his car in the dark and stillness of the deserted park. His lips on mine were like heaven to me.

I felt happy, comforted and at peace when he kissed me. This time neither of us was hungry for each other, we were taking it slow, savoring the moment when we were finally together again.

Every time Clark pulled his mouth away from me, he looked into my eyes. Deeply. Like he was trying to memorize my face. When I smiled at him, he smiled back and it filled my soul with joy again.

Slowly, he slipped off my clothes and I did the same with his.

First my coat, then my dress and very soon, he was tugging my bra off with his teeth. He was shirtless now, and his pants were unbuttoned and sliding down his muscular thighs.

Clark had stretched me out on the front seat while he covered me with his body. The closed space of the car made it even sexier. There was no escaping this. It was going to happen.

When my bra came off, he took one rosy sensitive nipple in his mouth and sucked. I could feel myself soaring from the sensation of his mouth on my body. I thought I would come just like that.

He’d wedged himself between my legs and I could feel his cock throbbing and growing in his pants. He moved himself, slowly stroking the wet spot between my thighs with the tent in his pants.

I wanted him. I was yearning for him. I tried to stretch my legs as far apart as I could in the tight confines of the car.

Clark’s mouth traveled from my breasts, down my belly, down even further till he was nibbling at the lace of my panties. I thrust my hips up towards him, rolling my waist so I could meet his body. I wanted him to take me, take me whole, leave no inch of me untouched.

Clark’s hand soon found the swollen clit hiding under my panties. He pulled the fabric apart till his fingers were on me. My pussy was covered in my own juices. I was dripping wet and smoothly, Clark slipped his fingers in me till I could feel he had reached the deepest confines of me—my hot central throbbing core.

I tugged and pulled at him till his pants came off. He continued to slide his finger in me, in and out, bringing me to the edge of my orgasm.

  “Clark please…” I whispered, breathlessly.

“What do you want, Tessa? Tell me what you want,” he said.

“I want you inside me. I want to feel you in me,” I murmured, embarrassed by the words I was saying.

Clark smirked, and then pulled his fingers out. I gasped from the friction, rolling my hips till he caught my waist with both hands and pushed me down on the seat, pinning me down so I couldn’t move anymore.

“Who am I to deny you what you want,” he said and he grabbed his cock with one hand, hovering his body over me so I could see every muscular inch of him. He came crashing down on me, and I felt my pussy part.

His cock slid right into me, filling me up in one quick swoop. I gasped, my body seemed to propel forward but he’d caught me in his arms. I was all wrapped up in him. My legs and arms were intertwined around him, while he started thrusting.

I could hear the thumping sounds our bodies made while he pounded me with his cock. He was big and powerful, and like a machine; he kept going. I was already on the edge of my orgasm, and now, with the force he was pounding me, I knew I was going to come right away.

I chewed on my lip, pressing my eyes close, trying to keep the orgasm at bay but it was no use.

“Oh my God!” I squealed as I came. Clark’s grunts became wilder and his thrusts became harder. He pushed and pushed into me and I felt like the car was shaking all around us.

I was out of breath and exhilarated by my orgasm. My body soared as I came; I moaned his name and then he came too. I could feel Clark emptying his cum into me. Shooting his seed straight into me and burying it there.

Gasping and panting, as our orgasm finally began to dissolve, Clark pulled himself out of me smoothly. There was nowhere for us to lie down together, so he just held me tightly in his arms while we tried to catch our breaths.

Neither of us spoke for a few moments, till finally, he stroked my hair, tucking some strands in behind my ears.

“I think I definitely need a drink now!” He declared and I smiled.

“I wouldn’t mind one either,” I said and he kissed my lips again.

“Should we go home? To my apartment, I mean. I’d like to check in on Alfie and make sure everything is under control,” he said. I nodded, still smiling. Something felt different this time. He didn’t push me away, he didn’t tell me this was a big mistake.

Was it possible that Clark and I could actually have something?

Had he developed feelings for me too?

We swapped seats, till he was behind the wheel again.

“When we’re back, we should make ourselves a drink, and talk,” he said. I couldn’t believe what I was h
earing. Clark really wanted to talk! About us? About a possible future?

I was ecstatic as I sat there beside him. I couldn’t wait to see what more this night had in store for me.

When we returned to the penthouse, Clark and I couldn’t stop looking at each other. If anyone was paying any attention to us, it would’ve been quite obvious that something had happened.

My face was flushed, and every opportunity Clark got to touch me, he did. We stepped out of the elevator together, with his hand on the small of my back. As we walked down the hallway, able to hear Alfie’s voice now, his hand dipped down to my butt.

A thrill ran down my spine. I had no idea what our impending discussion was going to be about, but I had a positive feeling about it. Just like I had a positive feeling about him too.

He caressed my hands as we entered the living room. Celine was on the couch with the TV switched on, and her feet up on the coffee table. She had a glass of wine in her hand, while Alfie was running around in circles near her. Celine didn’t even bother looking in his direction.

“What is going on here? Alfie, it’s past ten. Why are you not in bed?” Clark’s voice had switched suddenly to his usual authoritative tone again.

“Where is Penny?” I asked and Celine waved a hand in the air.

“Oh, I gave her the rest of the evening off,” she replied. Clark switched off the TV and Celine looked annoyed.

“Sour puss Daddy is back, Alfie. No more fun for us!” Celine jibed, turning to Alfie who didn’t seem to pay much attention to her.

  “Where is Gordon?” Clark asked.

“Out for a walk or something. Alfie hasn’t been the most well-behaved child tonight, think he just needed to cool off,” Celine said.

“He’s a five-year-old kid, Celine!” Clark snapped and she rolled her eyes.

“Okay, off to bed you go. C’mon!” Clark said, grabbing Alfie and lifting him up. He squealed and struggled in his father’s arms, but eventually Clark was able to drag him out of the living room.

“Good night, Alfie,” I said to him and he pouted his lips at me. I was still smiling when father and son left the room. Then I noticed that Celine had been staring at me. She was checking out my clothes, my rumpled hair and my smudged makeup, no doubt. I hadn’t exactly looked in the mirror to make sure I was presentable.

“Nice night?” Celine asked, taking a sip of her wine.

I proceeded to take my necklace off and then my heels.

“Yeah, it was, and you?” I said and Celine sighed.

“It was as nice as it could be, I suppose. It’s hard when you’re trying to connect with your son who has been forcefully kept away from you,” she said. I knew she was trying to bad-mouth Clark.

“But they only moved to Chicago three weeks ago; you must have been well connected to Alfie before that then?” I asked.

Celine’s brows crossed. She wasn’t pleased with my retort.

I watched as she stood up and walked over to the bar and poured herself some wine.

“It’s cute that you think you can waltz in here and take over our lives. Yeah, it’s really cute. It’s adorable. Good effort, Tessa, but let me tell you now that you’re not going to be successful.”

This was the first time I was hearing a really vicious tone in Celine’s voice. I glared at her, amazed that she had the audacity to speak to me this way!

“Excuse me?” I snapped. She drank more from her glass and rolled her eyes.

“Oh! You know what I’m talking about. You tried your luck with one Webber man, and when that didn’t work, you’re trying it with the other,” she said.

I crossed my arms over my breasts.

“I could say the same about you, Celine.”

She smiled at me and then shook her head.

“What you fail to understand, dear girl, is that I’ve been involved with the Webber family for over eight years now. Do you see what I mean? I met Clark when he was twenty-six. I’ve known Gordy since he was sixteen!” She continued.

Her voice was making my skin crawl.

“The fact of the matter is, that Clark will never be able to find that connection with anyone else other than the mother of his child. He watched me give birth to his son. He loves me. He begged me to stay with him and not leave!” Her voice was a hissy drawl and she took slow measured steps towards me as she spoke.

My breasts were heaving. The conviction and firmness was draining from my face now. The closer Celine got to me, the colder I felt.

“And Gordy…oh, darling, you have no idea! He’s been obsessed with me since he was a teenager. I knew he always wanted me. It’s why he couldn’t stay in a serious relationship with anyone else. Then finally, Clark and I were divorced. Alfie was old enough to handle it and I gave in to him. He will never want you the way he’s wanted me his whole life.”

Celine hissed and spat as she spoke. Suddenly, her beautiful face had turned witch-like. I could see the territorial zeal in her. She was defending her position. I couldn’t say anything. I had nothing to add to that. She was right about it all.

I didn’t know Clark, and I never knew Gordon. What was I even doing here?

“So, my advice to you, darling, is that you pack up your bags and just get out of here while you’re still in one piece. These two men want me, and I’m here. Who do you think Clark is thinking of when he’s fucking you?”

Celine poured the remainder of the wine down her throat and smiled. She knew she had her effect on me. I felt like I was shaking. Like I couldn’t stand still.

She leaned in towards me, dropping her voice to a conspiratorial whisper.

“I’m just looking out for you, love. Woman to woman, you know?” She said and winked. Then she turned from me and walked back to the bar. I watched the way her slender body moved in that grey body-con dress. I didn’t stand a chance against Celine.

Alfie had finally fallen asleep. I tucked the covers under him and switched off his bedside lamp. I realized I had a smile on my face. I was looking forward to spending more time with Tessa. Tonight was unexpected, but it was special. I knew now that I wanted her and nothing else mattered.

  Because she wanted me too.

I didn’t care about the consequences of us being together. I didn’t care about what was the right thing to do and what was wrong. I didn’t owe Gordon anything anymore.

I left Alfie’s room and went down the hallway; I could still hear the TV on in the living room. I didn’t want to have to talk to Celine any more than necessary and I guessed that Tessa would have been in the bedroom already.

I went in and saw that she was packing her bags.

“Hey,” I said, shutting the bedroom door behind me.

She was in the walk-in closet, stuffing her clothes in the bags. All her toiletries and makeup were strewn around her on the floor. She didn’t look up as I approached her.

“What are you doing?” I urged her. Now that I was standing over her, she had no choice but to look up at me. Her eyes were glistening. She looked like she was about to cry.

“Tessa, what’s the matter?” I crouched down on the carpet, to bring my face closer to hers, but she’d turned her gaze away from me again.

“You need to tell me what’s going on. Where are you going at this time of the night?” I asked, sounding more and more frustrated with every passing moment.

I had no idea what could have changed so drastically in a matter of twenty minutes!

She zipped up her bag and stood up with a flash, placing her hands on her hips.

“I’m leaving. I’m going back to my apartment, Clark,” she snapped.

“What are you talking about? What happened?” I stood up too. She shook her head, and now I could see tears had pooled in her eyes. She looked away from me and the tip of her nose had gone red. I could see that she was trying her absolute best to not cry.

“I’m done being made a fool of. I know…I know what I agreed to, but I can’t do this
anymore. I’m sorry, but I have to go,” she said.

“You’re being made a fool of? I don’t understand what you’re talking about, Tessa!” I barked. She pushed past me and hurried to the bathroom. I followed her there and saw her collecting her toothbrush and some other things from the medicine cabinet.

“Why don’t you tell me the truth for a change, Clark,” she snapped, abruptly. I stared at her, at a complete loss. “Why did you and Celine split up? Why exactly did she leave, and did you really want the divorce?”

“Where is this coming from, Tessa? Has she been speaking to you? You have to believe me. Don’t trust anything Celine says. She’s a liar, just like Gordon!”

Tessa shook her head. Her lips were quivering. She still hadn’t cried, but she’d come very close to it.

“When Celine was leaving you, did you beg her to stay?” She asked.

I stared at her face in the reflection of the mirror. She was looking back at me. Her green eyes were narrowed and strained. Her face was flushed with emotion. Celine had got to her.

I breathed in a deep sigh and ran a hand through my hair.

“I wanted Celine to stay, for the sake of our son. I didn’t think I’d be able to manage alone. I didn’t think I was ready for fatherhood,” I told her.

Tessa snapped around to me, taking a few quick strides right up to my face.

“You’ve been lying to me all along, haven’t you, Clark? You wanted us to pretend; not because you wanted Gordon to suffer like you did. You wanted to make Celine jealous. You wanted her to want you again,” she snapped. Her voice was sizzling and I could see the anger and disappointment in her eyes.

I shook my head and clenched my jaw.

“Whatever Celine has told you, is a lie, Tessa,” I spoke softly and calmly.

“Well, your little plan has worked. She wants you again. Or at least, she wants me out of the picture. I can’t believe I got involved in this crazy family madness. The two of you are obsessed with the same woman!” She cried. She pushed past me back into the bedroom again. Charging straight for her bags. “And now you are free to have her. I’m outta here!”
