  "Are you scared?"

He put his hand on his chest and felt his heart quicken enough. Amelia looked at the child's hand against him.

"You have not answered my question!”

"Sorry, I do not want to scare you"

He approached his face to hers. Then he kissed her lips and kissed her neck as well.

Amelia made no effort to comply with kisses. She just stared into space, very thoughtful.

The violent behavior of Juan Carlos had scared a lot. It seemed another person. Someone, who she did not know actually

  Chapter 18

  A GOLD MEDAL

At night, Amelia was sleeping peacefully in her single bed. She was dreaming about the man who killed her father. The same was hooded and his eyes were blue. So intensely blue that surprised her in the dream.

Since then she opens her eyes, but the hooded face and blue eyes never leaving her confused mind. She looked around and saw the menacing image. Trying to calm down, she immediately sat on the bed and closed her eyes briefly, but did not help much; because fear was still inside her. Seeing no other alternative that could end their fear, Amelia started screaming high.

  "Marianne! Marianne!"

Within seconds, her stepmother entered the room through the door that had opened in a hurry.

  "What had happen Amelia?"

She questioned run to the bed of the girl, pulled the ends of her long satin nightgown and sat beside Amelia.

  "It’s another nightmare!"

  She responded with frightened eyes.

  "And scared me!"

"I do not want to be alone, I have fear"

She pleaded desperately taking the arm of her stepmother. Marianne gave a confused look.

  "Afraid of what?"

"The fear of the man who killed my father"

She said closing her eyes, Amelia seemed to be afraid of everything, even the air in her room. Sometimes she had the impression that the murderer of her father was inside her house, hiding under the bed or behind the curtain.

Marianne mercifully embraced and looked thoughtful. Amelia feared was worsening with scenes of murder of her father. This was really a terrible time for the young woman who had not used to her absence trauma.

The next day was fabulous, like a gift for the poor Amelia had had their night ruined by a nightmare.

At the time she was in the company of Juan Carlos, while both sat on the edge of a lake with green water. There were some ducks floating in it. For a moment Amelia's dark eyes were arrested by this extreme image. She thought maybe a duck's life was less complicated than hers. Much less complicated.

"Tonight I could not sleep. The image of the man who killed my father, was tormenting me. It seemed that I was seeing in front of me. His eyes were horrible"

She said moving her eyes from the lake and looking to the side, to her boyfriend. Juan Carlos wearing a dark gray shirt, jeans and sneakers. The boy's arms rested on the top of the knees.

"The police do not suspect anyone?"

He asked, raising his eyebrow. Amelia looked at him before hearing the answer toward the lake. His eyes were as blue and bright.

"Even they not knew where to start" - said, then she breathes tired of so many excuses from the delegate who was in charge of the murder case.

"They do not even have an idea of who might have killed your father?" - He insisted looking back at her.

Amelia looked into the eyes of Juan Carlos and said quietly without force.

"The only person I know who has blue eyes... is you"

The boy's eyes dropped and he looked down, smiled poorly and tried to improvise a little humor in this situation.

"Why do not you send me to apprehend?" - He raised his fists toward her. Amelia looked at them and said nothing. - "I have blue eyes, I can be the murderer of your father"

Completely stunned, Amelia pushed away from his wrists. He looked up and bit her lip nervously.

"Do not play with that! I'm afraid, Juan Carlos!"

But he put his hand on the chin of his beloved.

  "I'm here to protect you"

His voice transcended with care, love and affection. He hugged her tightly. Amelia felt the heat transmitted to it. During this period, the two were embraced for a long time. Now Amelia seemed safer and less fear. Her boyfriend had that ability to comfort in difficult times. He had a way of doing everything.

Remembering something, Juan Carlos could not hug his beloved and pulled his pants pocket a medal shining through the motions of her fingers. The medal was engraved with the initials JC & A.

"You know what I mean by this?" - He asked and smiled afterwards. - "Juan Carlos and Amelia"

  "It's beautiful!"

He said looking at the medal in the palm of John.

  "I'll put on your neck"

He said and put the medal around the neck of Amelia. At that moment holding her hair on top and John stared into her eyes. Wishing to inform her that she was very special for him. To the point of giving a gold medal.

After he placed the medal on the chest of Amelia, he grabbed her and gave her a kiss on the serene golden object.

"This medal record the existence of our love"

He said and approached her face, tried to kiss her on the lips, but Amelia lowered her head and stared at the ground.

"What?" - He frowned, as he turned away in the same way.

"Today I do not feel the desire to be kissed on my lips"

She said with difficulty. She thought it might offend her boyfriend with this strange request.

  "It should not be so"

She smiled sweetly and kissed his cheek.

  "I understand"

He said parting her lips to her cheek. Juan Carlos knew how to deal with the complex of Amelia. He knew she was going through a difficult time. He had lost his father in a cruel murder and whose murderer had blue eyes.

  ***

"Juan Carlos is not coming today?"

Marianne asked, seeing that Amelia was sitting on the bed in her room. She was disheveled and hugged the porcelain doll that her boyfriend had given her as a gift.

"I asked him not to come today"

  "But why?"

Strangely Amelia bit her lip and looked around. She looked frightened by something invisible. Something she could not see and touch.

"I'm beginning to be afraid of him"

"Afraid of him?" - Marianne's head turned. - "Did he do something?"

"No" - Amelia shrugged. - "It is that his eyes are blue"

Her stepmother sneered. Amelia looked surprised and hid her eyes. This was no cause for laughter and ridicule, but Marianne did not respect that.

"In this way, you'll end up going crazy! Paranoid! Where has seen that! Be afraid of your own boyfriend because he has blue eyes! All because you compare with the eyes of the murderer of your father"

At the end of the sentence she shook her head.

Amelia, afflicted pressed her wrist against her chest and confessed.

"I know it was not him, but rather he had the eyes of another color. And not blue"

"Why you do not talk to him about it? And you ask him to wear sunglasses. Usually the problem is solved"

  "I'm afraid to hurt him"

At that time, Juan Carlos was lying in bed, thinking about Amelia. He recalled some moments with the child and especially the first kiss between them. From that moment, he had confirmation that she was the girl who was waiting to come into his life. After Lucia's death, he had no love again. But Amelia could relive that feeling again in his heart.

"I love too much this girl!"

He murmured, covering her face with both hands.

  Chapter 19

  JEALOUSY

Two days later, Amelia followed her stepmother to the city center. Both were shopping in a small market in the region. Leaving the trade with the filled bags, the two began to walk one next to the other around the pedestrian. Marianne was distracted looking at some showcase
s. She loved seeing the beautiful dresses.

However, her stepdaughter had eyes of these showcases women's clothing. She looked up and saw Juan Carlos talking to a girl, who was distant. Soon the boy with blond hair, looked back and saw Amelia. Immediately she turned her back to him and ordered impatiently.

  "Come on, Marianne!"

"I have not finished my shopping"

Hurriedly, Amelia went away, leaving her stepmother back with slow steps.

Juan Carlos arrived innocently walking beside the girl with dark hair.

  "Amelia!"

He cried and stopped at the back of the young Amelia, but she stayed away from him. The young man looked at her white dress.

"Amelia, this is Claudia, a classmate!"

  "A pleasure!"

Amelia turned to the girl and said nothing.

  "And she's Marianne"

  "Nice to meet you!"

  "Likewise!"

Juan Carlos looked Amelia's face and realized she was looking at him as if he were guilty of something very serious.

  8:00 pm

"You said I had no friends, and what is she for you? She is your other girlfriend?”

Juan Carlos sighed through the sarcastic voice of his girlfriend. He expected to be treated with more cooing after arriving there.

"Jealousy does not compensate" - He muttered and rubbed his forehead with his thumb.

  "Are not jealous!"

She replied even fiercer. Juan Carlos imagined that Amelia would attack him at that time.

"What name you give it, then?"

"You better go. Or we will finish discussing"

"I just arrived” - he said, crossing his arms over his chest and sat on the couch Young seemed indifferent to this unjust and totally stupid argument.

  "Then stay if you want"

Amelia ordered shrugged walked to the front porch. She looked at the starry sky and tried to distract herself, but her thought was stubborn and insisted on memorizing the image of Juan Carlos.

He slowly walked over and hugged her from behind. His forearms were glued to the belly of his beloved. He did not want to release any more.

"I have come for us to go to dinner with my parents"

He said, after he deposited a respectful kiss on the left shoulder of his beloved. The soft touch of his lips made Amelia's body shudder unconditionally.

  Chapter 20

  THE GUN

  "Amelia, she's my mother, Fatima"

Excited, said Juan Carlos, standing in front of his mother and next to his girlfriend. Amelia smiled shyly at her future mother-in-law and tried to be friendly.

  "A pleasure!"

  "The pleasure is mine!"

Amelia held hands and put a bigger smile to her face.

"My son speaks so much about you"

However, the child left the matter and looked up a man who was standing in the room. He had black hair, had some gray hair and had a mustache.

  "He is my father, Magnus"

He placed a hand on the shoulder of his father.

  "Nice to meet you, Amelia!

In this banquet Amelia looked into his eyes, which were also very blue. Soon she answered a little dazed.

  "Uh ... oh ... A pleasure, sir!"

The four were having dinner, sitting at a square table. The dishes and food were served by a lady. The lady working at home for years, since when Juan Carlos was eleven.

Occasionally Amelia looked at Magnus. Her eyes were drawn to the image of the man sitting on the edge of the table. The blue color of their eyes was an obsession she had, about every man with blue eyes could be the murderer of her father.

"Juan Carlos speaks well of you!" - Said the father, swallowing a giant piece of meat. The child's father loved to eat red meat in his meals.

"It looks like Lucia. Although Juan Carlos told us." - His mother said carefully.

However, this topic was not pleasant to Juan Carlos nor for Amelia. She looked at the face of her boyfriend and was silent.

  "Can we change the subject?"

Finally the young man muttered, sighing to your dish near his elbow. He was afraid that the conversation will cause a second discussion between the couple that night. That would be too much for him to try to avoid having dislocated his beloved genius.

Minutes after dinner, Juan Carlos and Magnus decided to play a game of chess, while Amelia was sitting next to Fatima on the sofa in the living room.

With the charm, the girl saw her future mother-in-law embroider a small hand towel. Amelia thought she had never done in her life embroidery. She did not know if ever would have that gift of doing so.

"When you and Juan Carlos married I want you to live here with us. The house is huge, and sometimes I'm alone, you'd be a perfect partner for me"

She smiled. Amelia shrugged and gave a less excited smile.

"Sometimes I think your son does not like. He is only with me because he sees in me his old girlfriend"

She confessed and looked down. However Fatima continued embroidering. She realized that the girl was not sure about the feelings of her son. This kind of insecurity was normal in the minds of girls at the age of Amelia.

"Nonsense! You must not think like that. He likes how you are inside, not your appearance"

Amelia looked to Magnu’s back and saw him sitting at a round table, with his son. At that time he moved a chess piece aside and Juan Carlos touched his lips with his index finger, the young man was aware of the game and never looked around.

  "You overboard it’s great!"

Amelia said, after looking away from the image of his future father. It felt strange whenever she looked at him.

  ***

"Do you sleep alone in this bed?"

Amelia asked, after entering a spacious room with his boyfriend. She stopped in the middle of it and seemed surprised. His room was beautiful. Those rooms seemed always saw in novels.

  "Yes, I do"

He said putting his hands in the pockets of his jeans. Automatically his shoulders almost were touching both sides of the face. Amelia rolled her eyes at his picture and realized that it was more charming and more beautiful than it already was.

Later, Juan Carlos looked down as he kicked the wind. He had this habit when he was withdrawn.

"I thought that the double beds were only for married people. Although Marianne sleeping alone in bed that was hers and my father"

She said innocent and her boyfriend laughed. Always he released a discreet smile when Amelia said things in a naive way.

After that, Amelia looked sideways and saw a picture of a girl with dark hair. The photo was on the headboard of the child.

  "She's Lucy?"

  "Yes"

He said and looked down. The young man had forgotten to hide the image before his girlfriend put an eye on it.

Soon the girl's fingers grabbed the frame and stared at the picture. Her lips moved slowly and she exclaimed surprised voice.

  "We are like a clone!"

"Yes" - He said looking at her. - "It is not a coincidence that we say you're a lot like her"

Despondent, Amelia placed the portrait in place and his dark eyes went to the corner. They saw a huge dark gun hanging on the wall. A machine gun. That left completely confused.

  "Would you like guns?"

She questioned looking at her boyfriend. John's face flushed, but he seemed sincere in his response.

"From childhood. I have a passion for them"

The look of the girl became very aggressive towards her boyfriend. She asked with haughty voice.

"How can you like something like that? Something that takes lives from people?"

John looked up and bit one of the corners of the mouth.

"Even if I explain, you never would understand"

Hurriedly, she put her hair behind her ears and she began to speak looking down.

"I have little fear of weapons. My dad had some, but I never had the courage to approach and touch it. I pan
ic, just to see it"

  She stared at him.

"That gun is just a mediocre object"

He said Juan took the gun from the wall of his room and held in his hands. Amelia pulled away, taking a few steps backward. She kept looking alarmed at the picture of your loved one carrying a weapon. He looked like a child. His blue eyes looked to the dark object with passion.

"But the hand of a man, which is a threat"

The boy said looking at the face alarmed of Amelia. She wrapped her arms back, trying to find refuge and her voice cried in great fear.

  "I want to go!"

  Chapter 21

  FEAR TO WEAPONS

  "What face is that?"

Marianne smoking her cigarette, staring at the door, just as Amelia had entered. She had come to the family home of her boyfriend and her stepmother had heard the engine noise of the car that Juan Carlos drove up to the door. But the boy did not enter the house. Amelia was willing to waive his presence even way out the door.

"Did you see a bug on the way home?"

Amelia remained serious, trying to ignore the opinion useless from her stepmother. During this period, she walked slowly to the sofa and sat on it. She was pale and her thoughts were far away.

"You're not going to say what happened?"

Marianne insisted, swallowing her cigarette butt, she was standing by the window. Only she is wearing a long coat and was barefoot. Marianne was a woman who had a beautiful body. She had no children and this helped keep her slender silhouette.

"I think I'm going to break with Juan Carlos"

"Why?" - He winced in surprise. - "Has he made you go to bed?"

  "Worse than that"

Amelia replied in amazement. The image of her boyfriend with a gun did not leave her mind and worse than that, tormented all the time, causing her to doubt the good behavior of your loved one.
