Once Upon A Time Page 19

by S. K. Hartley

It didn’t escape my notice he was going commando, something he did back at Omega. I wondered if it was a guy thing or if he just didn’t like wearing boxers. All rational thought flew out the window when he got down on his knees beside the bed, pulling my legs towards him and giving my panty-covered center one swift lick.

“You’re torturing me.” I moaned as he repeated the movement.

“I’m preparing you, Payton.” He chuckled, the vibration sending spikes of pleasure right through me.

“Preparing me for what?” I asked as he ran his finger over the middle seam of my panties.

  “For my desk.”

With a yelp, I was lifted into his arms as he carried me out of the bedroom and towards another room, wondering what the hell he was talking about. He must’ve seen the confusion written all over my face when he chuckled.

“I promised I’d have you coming all over my desk. I don’t break my promises, princess.”

  Oh. Holy. Mother. Of. Hell.

He carried me in his arms with ease as he walked to the other side of the room, stopping at a door to open it before stepping inside and shutting the door behind him.

“No voice control doors? How very cheap of you.” I laughed.

“I don’t intend on using voice control doors in my home office, Payton.” He paused, setting me down on the cool, hard surface of the glass desk. “The only thing I intend on controlling with my voice is when and how hard you come.”

“Oh.” I was lost for coherent words.

  “Yeah… oh.” He smirked.

He paused for a moment, the playfulness in his voice and demeanor quickly reverting back to what it was in the bedroom: hard, dominant and sexy as hell. He gently cupped my face, bringing his lips to mine and running his tongue along the seam of my lips. Without protest, I opened for him. His tongue explored mine but this time, this kiss was different to any other kisses we’d shared before. It was soft yet hard, full of promise and passion. It was slow yet meticulous, needy yet dominant. This was the kisses of all kisses. The kiss that was described in all of the stupid fairy tales.

  True love's first kiss.

I moaned into his mouth when my feelings came abundantly apparent. I wasn’t falling for him, I wasn’t lusting after him, I didn’t want him for sex. I was in love with him. The stubborn, unpredictable, uncontrollable man who was annoying, infuriating, ridiculous and egocentric. I loved him and beneath all his flaws and the many ways he drove me crazy, he was under my damn skin and I couldn’t get him out from under it, no matter how much I pushed, argued and stood my ground.

Gabriel Black was my Once Upon A Time.

I snapped right back into the moment the minute his hands moved from my face and down my neck, his lips locked with mine as he devoured me in the most delicious way. His thumbs pressed against the pulse points on my neck and the groan sounding from his chest only spurred on the lust between my thighs. Moving back onto my elbows, I threw my head back as his hands once again descended, cupping my heavy breasts within his palms.

I could feel his eyes on me, as if watching for every moan, every reaction my body and lips expressed. While palming my left breast, he rolled my pebbled nub on the right between his finger and thumb, sending electric-like shocks throughout my body.

“You have no idea what I want to do to you, princess.” He growled as a moan slipped from my lips.

“Quit torturing me and show me.”

I was far beyond turned on. I was down right needy, and I needed a release. Deciding to take matters in my own hands, I placed my foot against his chest and pushed. My heels were still on and he had no other choice than to fall back into his large black leather chair.

“Payton,” he said sternly, the roughness in his voice catching me a little off guard. Inhaling hard, I carried on with what I intended to do.

Standing from the desk, I slipped my panties off, allowing them to pool at my feet before stepping out of them and picking them up from the floor. With a smirk, I turned and placed them in the top drawer of his desk.

  “Damn.” He groaned.

“Yeah… damn.” I chuckled, repeating his similar words before stepping towards his chair and sitting on his lap.

I could feel him, smooth and hard against me as his length stood proud, slightly resting against his stomach. I looked down between us, noticing the pre-cum resting against his tip and my mouth watered.

That’s when his arm snaked around my waist and pulled us chest to chest while his other hand moved between my thighs. His fingers moved to the apex of my thighs, teasing me for a moment before diving between my folds. With a finger inside me, I moaned out, finally getting somewhere near what I wanted.

“Fuck.” I moaned as he added a second finger, his thumb circling my clit in a slow delicious movement which almost had me seeing stars.

I could feel my orgasm mounting, my muscles clenching around his fingers as I rode them with my head thrown back and my lips parted. My orgasm was building, a wild fire ready to spread into a raging inferno. I was right there, right on the cusp when he removed his fingers and reached over to his desk drawer for a condom.

The thought about why he kept condoms in his office desk draw crossed my mind but I pushed it away, too close to an orgasm which I desperately, not only wanted, but needed.

He ripped the condom wrapper with his teeth before sheathing his length. He growled at the contact, pulling a hiss from his lips before moving his hands back to my waist to center me above him.

A moment passed and there was no movement from him. Glancing down, I found his gaze locked on mine, the intensity in his eyes matching my own. That moment was a turning point; the moment when I knew I’d never be able to leave this man, and words I thought would never leave my lips flew out with no filter, no holding back and no embarrassment.

“You make me believe in fairy tales,” I whispered, slowly lowering myself onto his length.

He groaned out as I moaned, the feeling of fullness overwhelming me. I’d never felt that full with anyone except him. Once fully seated on his lap, I watched as the already dark pools in his eyes turned darker than I’d ever seen them. Without moving, his thumb went back to my bundle of nerves and started circling in slow, torturous movements.

“You’re fucking beautiful.” His lips moving to my neck as I stayed seated on his lap, all while he pushed me to the very limit with his ministrations on my clit.

The orgasm I'd been building to came back full force, like thunder crashing on a stormy night. Suddenly, his lips moved to my nipple as he started to thrust inside me, taking me to new highs and I knew if he carried on with his slow and hard assault, I’d come undone within seconds.

I decided I couldn’t take anymore of the slow movements, it was driving me crazy and I was on the brink of my orgasm. I started to take more control. Moving my hands to his neck, I locked my fingers together and started to move faster. Gabriel’s hands moved to my waist, guiding me as the sensations became too much to bear.

  “Shit,” I hissed.

Gabriel’s thrusts were becoming frantic and uneven and I knew without a doubt that we’d come together. With two more hard thrusts, my entire world fell apart as the orgasm crashed through me.

  “Gabriel.” I moaned.

A growl vibrated through his chest as he threw his head back, one more thrust as my name whispered across his lips.

“Fuck. Payton.” He groaned as our bodies sagged and I laid my head on his chest.

I smiled as I inhaled his unique scent.

  It smelled like home.

  I WOKE WITH A START.

Blinking, I waited for my eyes to adjust to the darkness and after a couple of seconds I could see outline of the room I was in. I must’ve fallen asleep not long after Gabriel and I had sex in his office. Turning to my left, I came face to face with the gorgeous man. I quickly realized we were in his bed, both naked and his arms wrapped tightly around me.

I smiled as I gazed at his features. The usually te
nse and emotionless expressions he wore were replaced with a soft, angelic look as he breathed softly beside me. Turning, I reached for my cell which had been placed on the bedside cabinet. I read the time and decided I should probably tell Kylie I was staying the night; even though it was 3am, I didn’t want her to worry.

ME: Staying over. Don’t worry, I’ll tell you the details tomorrow at work.

Sighing, I decided to check my emails considering I’d left work early. Opening the app, I noticed an email from Kate. Oh shit.

  To: [email protected]

  From: [email protected]

  Meeting

  Payton,

See me in my office tomorrow at 9am.

  Don’t be late.

  Kate

I furrowed my brow, wondering what the meeting could entail. As usual, Kate had been vague in her email. I presumed it had something to do with Alpha's opening night, considering it was only a couple of days away. With the meeting on my mind, I placed my cell back on the bedside cabinet and with Gabriel’s arms tight around my waist, I feel into a deep sleep.

  “Good morning, princess.”

I groaned and tried to roll over but there was something stopping me. Sighing, I opened my eyes to find Gabriel peppering kisses over my abdomen as he rested between my legs. His palms rested on my inner thighs, exposing me in the most delicious way.

“Good morning,” I croaked, my mouth dry from last night's alcohol and extracurricular activities.

“You sound delicious this morning.” He chuckled, bending his head and inhaling hard between my thighs. “And smell fucking addicting too.”

I chuckled but the quickly stopped as he took a single swipe of his tongue along the apex of my left thigh. I moaned as the sleepiness quickly subsided and in its place was unfaltering pleasure as his tongue trailed a path between my folds.

“Does this count as breakfast?” I asked breathlessly, panting as he worked my pussy like a pro.

“No.” He growled, nibbling on my clit before swiping his tongue across it. “This is breakfast, lunch and dinner.”

Without as much as a warning, he plunged a finger inside me, all while working his tongue on my clit. It was a meal to remember as I came hard on his lips only moments later.

Sitting on his knees, he grabbed my hand and pulled me into a sitting position in the middle of the bed before kissing me fiercely, the taste of my arousal on his lips. Pulling back he smirked and I didn’t think he could look any more damn beautiful.

“What time do you need to be at work?” he asked, checking his wristwatch.

  Work? Ah shit!

“Fuck!” I yelped, jumping from the bed to locate my scattered clothing. “What time is it?”

He chuckled. “It’s seven-thirty. I have to be at the office for eight so I opted for an early breakfast.” He shrugged.

I rolled my eyes before my gaze landed on my clothes. Quickly, I threw them on, realizing I’d need to go home before going to the office to shower and find some fresh clothing. I had a meeting with Kate at nine and suddenly, my nerves took off.

Turning to Gabriel, I paused and gazed at him for a moment before asking some questions I needed answers to.

“What’s this game we are playing?” I asked, trying to figure out if I was just another notch on his bedpost or if I was there because he needed to screw me out of his head.

“I don’t play games, Payton.” He growled. “I’ve told you that before. You’re not a game, this isn’t a game. The minute you walked into my office, I knew I’d never be rid of you. You challenge me, you’re stubborn and uncontrollable. You’re different from the women I’ve met in my time. You drive me crazy.” He stood from the bed, moving to my side.

“What about my job?” I asked. “I can’t exactly announce that we’re sleeping together. I’d lose my job.”

“Alpha opens in a couple of days.” He smirked. “All we have to do is keep it quiet until the opening night. I’ll cancel my contract with Blue Stone PR after the event. And damn it, if you say we’re just sleeping together one more time, I’ll tie you to that bed and show you just what we are.”

“And what is that exactly?” I asked, a little breathless.

“A god damn fairy tale.” He growled.

Right then, I knew. Gabriel Black was, in fact, my Prince Charming and this was, most definitely, my once upon a time.

I smiled for a moment before remembering the time once more.

“Okay, Prince Charming. Do you think you and your trusted steed can get me to my apartment with enough time to shower and dress for my nine o’clock meeting with my boss?”

“Anything for you, princess.” He winked, smacking my ass as he left the room beautifully naked and stepped into the shower.

  “Damn it.” I chuckled.

  I missed my prince already.

By eight-thirty I was in the office, staring at my ogre-like boss as she sipped her tea from her exaggerated tea cup.

“On your desk is some paperwork I need you to photocopy three times. You need to sign them where appropriate, and find the files of each individual client and put them in order,” she said with a wave of her hand. “It’s standard paperwork most account managers have to deal with on a day to day basis, and because you’ve seemed to do so well with the Black Enterprises account, I thought you might be able to take on a heavier work load.”

What in the hell was happening? Only a couple of months ago, I was wondering when my career would start, if I would start moving up the ladder or be forever working as a coffee fetcher and a calendar organizer the rest of my working life. Now I’d been given the opportunity to take on tasks that account managers deal with. I was shocked.

“Okay,” I said. “Thank you for this, Kate. I really appreciate it.”

I stood from my chair and she nodded in dismissal. But, before I could leave her office, she hit me with something I wasn’t expecting. Like always, there was a catch.

“Oh, there’s around three hundred clients in that paperwork. I’m afraid you’ll have to miss the opening night of Alpha to get it finished.”

I closed my eyes tight as I held on to the door handle for dear life, trying my best not to turn around and smack her over the head with her stupid tea cup.

“Of course, Kate,” I said, opening the door and making a beeline for my office.

The moment I closed my office door, there stood the two women I’d love to shove in the paper copier. Clarissa and Katrina were, once again, lingering in my office.

“Make it quick,” I snapped, bored of the mind games they’d been inflicting since I started working at Blue Stone PR. “I have work to be getting on with.”

  Clarissa chuckled.

“Ah yes. The three hundred client paperwork which needs copying and filing.” She chuckled, pointing to the high three piles of paperwork sitting in the middle of my desk. “I hope you have fun filing my and Katrina’s clients.”

There it was. These weren’t Kate’s clients or any of the other nice account manager's clients. They were theirs. It was clear why I had to do the paperwork. One, because Clarissa and Katrina didn’t have a brain cell between them, and two, because I knew there was some reason why they wanted me away from Alpha. I had no doubt they suggested I clear up their paperwork in order to have me inundated with so much paper I’d have to miss the opening night.

“I’m sure I will. After all, I’m sure intelligent women like yourselves understand the importance of paperwork and contracts.” I rolled my eyes. I’d had enough of their bullshit and I really couldn’t have cared what they did or what kind of tales they told. They were the definition of a fairy tale villains.

“Of course.” Clarissa smiled, turning to her twin and nodding.

With that, Katrina moved to my desk and with one large swoop of her arm, knocked every single piece of paper from my desk. The paper fell to the floor just like leaves in autumn, only they wouldn’t disappear over time and I’d have to pick up every single one
of them with care.

With that, the pair left my office, cackling like teenagers as they slammed my office door. Shaking my head, I got down on my knees and decided I’d work until my hands were covered in paper cuts and sweat poured down my back to get this paperwork done in order with enough time to make it to Alpha's opening. Even if it killed me.

As I was pulling together the paperwork, trying to find all the documents for a particular client, in walked Kylie. I didn’t need to look up to see the shocked expression on her face; the gasp that left her lips was enough to tell me she knew what had happened.

“Oh my hell. I’m going to bury them!” she shrieked.

“Rein it in, Kylie. They’re children trying to play the adult's game. I’m over it.” I shrugged, sitting back on my knees as she crouched down in front of me.

“Can I call a hit man?”

“It’s okay.” I shrugged, although I was contemplating her idea. “I have some news.”

“Oh!!” She clapped her hands, clearly excited. “You need to fill me in on what happened. I would’ve asked this morning but I was a little hungover when you came home for a shower.”

The next twenty minutes rolled by with collections of gasps, shock and giggling from Kylie as I filled her in what happened between me and Gabriel last night and this morning.

“I’m so freaking happy for you!” She smiled. “Remember, you can control the pace of it. You don’t have to go head first into the unknown and considering he’s still a client, I think holding back a little would be a good idea.”

“There’s a wrench in the plan though.” I sighed, waving to the paperwork all around us. “I’ve got to get this paperwork done, otherwise I can’t go to the opening.”

Kylie’s jaw dropped open at the representation of the mass of paper on the floor.

“Wait, you’ve got to get all of this done by then just so you can go?” she asked, her brows furrowed. “That’s insane and completely ridiculous!”

“Hey, it’s fine. It’s no big deal.” I shrugged.

It was a lie. It was a big deal. Not only did I want to go to the opening so I could see all my hard work, but to see Gabriel and announce our relationship. But, unlike all the books, life tended to get in the way of fairy tales.
