Avery and Her Wolf [Shifters Revealed 1] (Siren Publishing Classic) Page 15

by Suzette Rose Cauler

Avery didn’t think she’d ever run faster or harder, but she couldn’t move fast enough. What likely only amounted to minutes of running seemed to be hours of torture. Could Logan be right? He had to be, but Avery couldn’t keep the doubts at bay. What if it wasn’t him? What if this was another one of her too-realistic dreams. What if fate was throwing a cruel trick her way because she’d been too happy in Deep Valley?

Logan gave a series of loud barks just a pace ahead of her and Avery crested a tall hill to see Chase and Liam, both in human form, holding a tall, tattooed man who struggled between them. He looked angry enough to bite, as did Gypsy. Quickly, she shifted and changed back into her sundress so she could move closer and get a better look.

Chase and Logan were the only ones who didn’t resemble angry rattlesnakes at the moment, but Avery couldn’t be bothered with whatever had the rest of the shifters in a tizzy. The man they’d brought back with them had hair of a shade similar to her own. It was the eyes, though, that told her what she needed to know. She’d seen them in her dreams since she was a child. There’d been no mistake. This was Ryder.

  ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Suzette Rose Cauler has loved books (all types really) for as long as she can remember. As a child, she'd get lost in books for hours, using a flashlight to read under the covers long past bedtime. She read her first romance novel as a preteen and was immediately hooked by the swoon-worthy heroes and daring, spunky damsels. Though her reading tastes have definitely matured, Suzette continues to enjoy romance novels, especially those of the erotic, paranormal, fantasy, or historical variety. She writes almost as voraciously as she reads and typically falls head over heels in love with her heroes.

Though everyday types of romantic situations do appeal to her, stories that include adventure, intrigue, or danger have always made Suzette's heart go pitter patter. If they incorporate some science fiction, too, she is even happier. You'll find elements like these in most of her stories as well as strong heroines who can fight their own battles but sometimes enjoy letting someone else take the lead.

Suzette lives on the East Coast with five special people who help keep her spirit young and her imagination fresh.
