“What the fuck did you just say to me?”
“You heard me you piece of shit. You go stealing and robbing people to make your living and think that someone is supposed to hang on your every word. What reason do I have to believe or even trust you?”
“Go fuck yourself, Aries. Alright? We’ve been knowing each other forever and just because that sorry ass bitch in there whispers on your dick from time to time, you got the nerve to turn on me. Who provided for your family with that stolen money when you didn’t have a pot to piss in? Who paid for your motherfucking wedding when I had just copped all that money from that bogus ass alderman, after laying my life on the line for the shit?” I was enraged.
“Know that you no longer have a friend in me you pussy ass bitch. Now get the fuck out of my house.” Aries hawked me down, as his bitch stood behind him crossing her arms and fixing duck lips across her face.
“If it’s like that, I never had a friend in you then. Wack ass.”
My eyes rotated from hers back to his, as I snatched up my coat and stormed the hell out the joint. I didn’t give a shit about the few clothes that I had there. He gave them all to me anyway. Fuck it. Walking down the street, I watched my breath become smoke in the cold air. I couldn’t think of any other place in the world to go than six blocks east towards Bonnie’s mother’s house. It was still early in the day so I could only hope that her mother was still out making runs. She didn’t like for Bonnie to have company over, feeling the need not to trust too many people in her house. With everything that was going on in the world, I didn’t blame her. Hell, unbeknownst to her, I almost robbed her daughter.
Fifteen minutes later, I turned the corner of 96th and Leavitt and found myself at the doorstep of her house. It was a beautiful brown two-story brick home. It had to have been worth about $400,000, with beautiful landscaping and a large garage out back. I was envious in every sense of the word, seeing as though my shit was destroyed in an instant. Given the opportunity, my house could have been as equally beautiful as it. The tall trees danced around it like it was king of a forest or something. Just looking at it only depressed me more. I pressed the doorbell, stepping back waiting to see my shorty light up the doorway. We hadn’t even had sex yet and already she made my dick jump just thinking about her.
“Hey you,” she smiled so bright the sun didn’t have shit on her. “What are you doing here? You didn’t call.”
“Yeah, I know. I needed to talk to you.” I bit my bottom lip, gawping at her pretty brown eyes. “Can we rap for a minute?”
“Um, yeah. Come on in.” Bonnie stepped aside, allowing me to walk in, closing the door behind me. “What’s up?”
“I had to leave my friend’s joint today. I’m out. So, this may be the last day we get to see each other,” I sighed, looking around the place feeling like I was stuck in an IKEA commercial.
“Why? ‘Cause that bitch was tripping again, huh?” She squinted her eyes.
Bonnie’s thick thighs filled out a pair of tight green jogging pants dope as ever. Her wife beater tee made her look a little thuggish but her lovely C cup beauties sitting up in her pink lace bra, assured me that she was the epitome of feminine. I wanted to take her right there on the tile of the hallway floor. I would be her bed and she could bounce gently up and down on me for as long as she needed to. My eyes quickly jolted away onto something less sexy looking, the toaster in the kitchen. It was all I could do to keep from kissing her, tonguing her down, and pressing her soft body close to mine. I yearned for her.
“That’s part of it. But it’s more of my fault. I should’ve been out fucking niggas up over my daughter’s death and disappearance rather than laying up feeling sorry for myself. I let my depression get the best of me,” I answered stuffing my hands down in my pockets. “Hey listen, I don’t want to get you in trouble with your moms, so I’m gonna bounce.”
“Wait. Don’t go.” Her lips were as sweet as her words.
“I don’t want to get you in trouble with your—“
“Shine, I’m a grown ass woman okay? I can take care of myself.” She placed her hands on her hips and raised her eyebrow as if I offended her in some way. “As a matter of fact, stay right there. I’ll be right back.”
Bonnie skipped up the stairs faster than anyone I’d ever seen. I didn’t know what she wanted me to wait on but if her mom came through that door bitching at me, I was out. I didn’t need another cackling female in my ear and trying to call the police on me, when I was about to be on a mission. I walked around the living room, gazing at all of the trophies and medals Bonnie had earned over the years from cheerleading, pageants, and dance competitions. She was the all-around American girl, living the American dream before her late husband awakened her. He was an asshole who didn’t know what kind of gem he had in her. That woman was smart, beautiful, intelligent, and from what she described, would do anything she could for the man she loved. If only I had been as lucky as to have met her before I did my hack ass cracked out baby momma.
“Okay, I’m ready.” Bonnie bolted back down the stairs, fully dressed with her coat on. “Let’s go.”
“What? Are you serious? Where are you going, B?” I asked noticing her all black Timberlands fully laced around the bottom of her jeans.
“I’m going with you, Shine. Now let’s go.”
“Wait, wait, wait. You can’t go with me, girl. You’ve got so much going for you right here. You can’t just pick up and leave your life like that. Besides, I’m going to do things in these streets, you probably only seen on TV.” I caressed her hair, knowing it would be the last time I ever touched it again.
Shorty was leaning on me and I knew it. I didn’t give a fuck though. Apart of me was leaning on her too. Like we needed each other and provided the companionship that we both longed for. I felt like I could be myself with her, never sugar coating shit just to spare her feelings and she would do the same for me. She came from greatness but she was willing to throw all that shit away for a bad nigga like me. I started to wonder what I had done to deserve the love and loyalty she was so willingly giving me. Needless to say, I wasn’t ashamed to take it as long as she was willing to accept a little in return as well.
“There isn’t as much for me here as you think there is, Shine. Trust me. Anyway, I can handle myself pretty well. I’m a big girl.” Bonnie winked grabbing hold of my hand. “So where are we going?”
“Bonnie—“
“Do you want me to be with you or not? If you want to be out there alone looking for the jerks that killed your daughter, then fine. I won’t stand in your way. But we’ll be over and you know it. I- I’m not ready for us to end just yet.” She bit her bottom lip so seductively, looking up at me. “And, two heads are always better than one.”
“Are you sure that’s what you wanna do, girl?”
“I’m damn sure.” Her smile widened, giving my lips a sweet peck that tasted as good as strawberries.
“Okay, but we’re gonna need some dough, pronto.” I kissed the top of her forehead. “Well, let’s get the fuck out of here.”
“I’ve got like two grand in cash and another five in the bank. But that’s all I’ve got,” Bonnie noted as she pulled out a wad of cash from her purse.
Bonnie was more than just classy, she was real. She was genuine in her heart through and through. If it were all a façade, I wouldn’t know just by looking at her or talking to her for these past few weeks. She was a diamond in the rough in my book. Someone I wished I had on my team when all this shit hit the fan. A warm feeling came over me. It was odd, but it felt so right just being in her presence right then. It was like I had known her for years, like she was my soul mate, and we were brought together for a reason.
“That’s cool. That’s enough to get us some equipment and lay low when we need to. But we’ll still need a car though.” I opened the door for her as she walked out.
“I could take my mom’s old Subaru in the back. She never even drives it. It was my dad’s.”
<
br /> “She ain’t gonna trip and call the peoples, is she?” My hand halted her in her tracks.
“I’ll leave her a note.” She declared scurrying to the kitchen counter to write on the yellow note pad sitting there. “I’m going to also throw some things in my suitcase. Might as well right. I’ll be right back.”
“Hurry up, B.” I yelled watching her sexy body run back up the stairs.
“Excuse me. Who are you and what are you doing in my house?” A strong arm pushed through the front door, nearly hitting me in the jaw.
“Oh, um, hi ma’am. I’m just waiting on your—“
“You’re waiting on my daughter to come to the door that she invited you into.” The older woman looked me up and down like I was as short as she and she was six feet tall. “Honey B. You get your butt down here this instant.”
Bonnie trotted downstairs with a rollaway suitcase in tow. “Good. You’re here early. Don’t call the police, but I’m taking dad’s car.”
“Oh no you are not taking your father’s car. Have you lost your mind?” Her mother frowned hopelessly.
“Mom, he’s gone okay. Nothing is ever going to bring him back, okay. Life goes on. Keeping that car in the garage only keeps you more confined to this house. Now, you know what I’ve been through and I need the car. So I’m taking it.” Bonnie stood her ground. It was too sexy.
“Where are you going, Honey B.? Why do you have a bag? You don’t have to leave town. I told you to stay here as long as you liked.” Tears began to water in her mother’s eyes.
“Stop, mom. It’s not you. I just need to spread my wings and explore the world. I’m tired of being locked down. I’ve done that way too long. I have to go be me.”
“With this thing? He looks like a thug, Bonnie.” Her mother eyed me up and down again, curling her lips up at my gawking back. “You know what our family has been through to stay away from that rubbish. Why would you want to go to that lifestyle?”
“Mommy,” Bonnie gritted her teeth, stomping her foot. “I’m not going back to anything. I’m doing this for me. I’m going.”
“Bonnie.” Her mother called in despair, as Bonnie grabbed my hand, leading me to the back of the house and out of the backdoor. “Honey B.”
“I love you mom.” Bonnie responded as the door slammed behind her.

The Midway Airport Marriott Hotel
Bonnie
My forehead was as sweaty as my palms were, as I awoke in the middle of the night. I turned over to rub the empty spot on the bed. Shine wasn’t there. I looked around the hotel room, wondering if he had left me on purpose, figured I was too much of a liability than an asset to his cause. There was an empty bottle of chardonnay on the nightstand sitting next to three rolled blunts. My boots were neatly placed aside the door, but his were missing. I removed the colorful blanket from my legs, noticing that my clothes were still on. So, there was no sex had. Damn. He was gone and I was broken.
I rose, heading straight for the long table with the big flat screen TV that my purse sat next to. My fingers couldn't search fast enough for the money that was inside. It was there. Aside from a hundred dollar bill, every penny was there. At least he left remaining loyal to me. I slammed the money back down in my purse, and then walked over to the window flopping down in the chair. My arms folded on the table, making a pillow for my head as I stared out at the parking lot and the traffic going by. I was pissed to the core that the motherfucka didn't even have the time to say goodbye.
"Hey, you're awake. I hope you like Mickey D's." The door clicked, as Shine entered the room with a paper back full of junk food and holding a cup holder with two drinks.
"Hey. Eh, for a second there I thought you left me," I laughed trying to play off my dismay.
"Huh? Why would I leave you? You're my baby," he countered nonchalantly.
"I am?" I wondered, as I took a bite of what seemed like more of a salt lick rather than a simple double cheeseburger.
"Yeah. I mean I know we've only been knowing each other for a minute, but I really think there's something between us. Don't you?" He took a massive bite of his Big Mac.
He made me blush hard. "So what's the game plan?"
"Well, first off we need some bangers. I'm talking some serious heat though."
"Okay, where are we going to get some shit like that?" I munched on some fries, while taking a sip of my coke.
I wasn't used to eating dangerously bad foods, but I was hungry. Most of the things that I ate were fresh and carefully prepared to keep my figure tight. Still, it felt good to splurge. Shine scarfed his food down like he was fresh out the penitentiary and needed to adapt back to society. He wasn't embarrassed at all. It was actually a turn on that he thought enough of me to be himself around me. He wasn't fake about it, trying too hard, or focusing on impressing me. The more I watched him, the more I envied his carefree way of thinking. I only wished to be that liberal, that open with everything I did. It only occurred to me right then, that it there was nothing to it but to do it.
"I know a guy. He's good but he's shady, too. I just gotta watch my back around him, you feel me? He don't trust anybody, not even his own men."
"Hell, I can do that." I shrugged between sips. "I got your back. No sweat."
"Bonnie, this isn't some charity event for the blind. This is some real hardcore shit. These fools will put a bullet in your head without asking any questions. You'll never see the shit coming." Shine shook his head.
“I know what it is, Shine. I’m not a little girl—“
“I know you’re not a little girl, Bonnie, but—“
“Then quit treating me like it. I can handle myself. You have no idea what I’m capable of. But I can show you better than I can tell you.” I paused from my angry torrent. “I’m here aren’t I? I wouldn’t be here if I were scared of the outcomes of being with you.”
“I just can’t have anything happening to another person that I care for. That shit won’t happen to me again.”
“And, how do you think I would feel if I lost you, Shine? You’ve been the best thing in my life in a long fucking time. It’s another reason why I’m here. I can’t seem to let you go.” I poured my heart on the table.
I was hoping he felt the same way and wasn’t just dealing with me because I was willing to help him out. He called me his “baby” and I could only hope that was for a reason. He took a sip from his colossal size coke then put it down, glaring me down. He crashed it back on the table before rising, moving over in front of me. I was face to dick with him. My eyebrow rose, as I checked out the bulge before turning my attention up towards his face.
“I think I know the problem.” Shine smirked, grabbing me up by my hands, pulling my body close to his as he wrapped his arms around my waist.
“Oh yeah. What’s that?” My tongue stuck out slightly, making its way to his bottom lip, licking across it before my lips gave it a gentle kiss.
“I don’t trust you.”
“Huh?” The confusion I was experiencing read like a book on my face and my pussy, well it damn near sucked up all its juices and went cold. My heart began to beat fast and disappointment had immediately began to set in. “Trust”. If he only knew how well I understood him.
“Man, I’ve had so many people fuck me over, especially in these last few weeks that I don’t know who to trust and believe anymore.” He licked the taste of me off his lips before plopping down on the bed.
“Like I said before, I can show you better than I can tell you. I’m not asking for you to trust me. I am asking for you to give me a chance, baby.” I walked over spreading my legs to sit on his lap.
Shine wrapped his arms around my waist, planting his face in my breasts. He rubbed his face back and forth, savoring my sweet cinnamon scent. I closed my eyes picturing him inside of me. My hips gyrated on top of his bulge, hoping to get him so aroused that he just had to have me. After weeks of talking, hugging, and k
issing, it was about time we consummated this union. He needed to know that I was all in for him and he had to assure me of the same. I hungered to have him inside of me. Our bodies needed to become one.
He continued to bury his face into me, refusing to make the first move. Unable to withstand the excitement any longer, I grabbed the bottom of my shirt pulling it over my head and tossing it on the floor. Shine ran his hands up my sides and around to the small of my back, as his lips posted gentle love bites across my midsection. He pulled me in closer, yearning for more of me. My hands gently massaged the top of his head, eager to relieve any lingering stress that may have been there.
“Damn girl. You just don’t know what you do to me.” He whispered, his eyes closed feeling my warm embrace.
“Ditto,” I replied, smiling back at him.
Both of my hands ventured around to my back releasing the two hooks of my bra in one fail swoop. Effortlessly, it fell down my arms and as I untangled myself from around the straps, Shine gazed at the beauty before him. His mouth agape, he closed his eyes grabbing a hand full of my breasts then wrapped his lips around my big brown nipples. He devoured each of them one right after the other, sending chills throughout my body rapidly. My head tilted back as my mouth released a gratified moan. His tongue circled my nipples as he squeezed them fondly, pressing my tits close together laying his cheek on them as he moved from side to side.
My hand slid down to the bottom of his shirt tugging to pull it off of his strong torso. I flung it once I got it off, admiring the exquisiteness that was he. God couldn’t have carved a better specimen in my eyes. His chest was chiseled, his skin was smooth and chocolate, and his muscles…God his muscles made me want to melt. I rubbed every inch of him, salivating with every touch. He wouldn’t let my tits go for nothing though, like he was striving to get milk to produce from them equally. The chills that I was experiencing had me dripping all over myself.
