“Has he been banished?” Brigden asked worriedly. Considering how much the beta had hated Brigden all these years, his compassion and concern for Gideon’s father was amazing and proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that his mate was a truly exceptional man. If Eadan Barclay was too blind to see it, then that was his loss.
“I haven’t banished him.” The alpha glanced at Gideon’s mother before adding, “Yet.”
“Your father has always been afraid of new ideas. It takes a long time for him to accept change of any kind.” She nodded in the alpha’s direction but addressed her words to Gideon. “I can’t guarantee that your father will ever accept your mates, but I can assure you that he’ll cause no more trouble.”
“Trouble?” Gideon asked, wondering what had gone on at Shy River in their absence.
“Nothing important,” the alpha dismissed even though it had apparently been important enough to end in the beta being forcibly removed from his position. “Will you accept the position or not?”
Gideon glanced at his mates, already knowing their thoughts on the matter.
It was more acceptance than any of them had dared hope.
“As long as I can keep my mates close.”
“Of course,” the alpha replied easily. “I would expect nothing less.”
Gideon nodded. “Thank you, alpha. I’m happy to accept.”

Several hours later, pressed between his mates, Brigden could barely comprehend the rapid changes in his life. For decades he’d loved a man who couldn’t claim him and dreamed of a future he couldn’t ever see happening, but in the space of a few days he’d found another, unexpected mate, learned that he’d been born a human, and been able to openly claim and be claimed by the man and the woman he loved.
Even now it seemed like a dream he’d soon wake from.
Suzanne pinched him so hard he nearly leapt out of the bed.
“See?” she asked with a knowing smile. “You’re definitely not dreaming.”
“Thanks,” he said, rubbing over his arm and loving the woman even more.
He pulled her closer, his hand joining Gideon’s on her belly. It would probably be many weeks before her change to a werewolf was complete, but he found himself looking forward to a time when she could carry their children. Thanks to his mates’ love and reassurance he was no longer scared to father offspring himself. He’d love any children created between them, regardless of who fathered them, and he knew, without a shadow of a doubt, that any children born into this family would be loved.
Never in his wildest dreams had he imagined a future so bright, but he looked forward to every moment, knowing that he would have both of his mates by his side.
And nothing could be more amazing than that.

Suzanne heard Brigden’s thoughts, felt his emotions, and agreed wholeheartedly. “I love you,” she whispered into both of her mate’s minds.
Their responses were immediate, their love easily read. For so long she’d wondered where she belonged. Now that she’d found it she had no intention of missing the adventure of a lifetime.
A very long werewolf lifetime.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Rachel Clark loves romance in all its forms. She writes contemporary, BDSM, paranormal, and science fiction in MMF, MF, MFM, MMMF, FFM, and lots of other pairings. Unfortunately this can also lead to confusion over what her next book might contain.
So Rachel created Bec Adams.
Rachel will continue to write only the stories with FFM and MMFF couplings, and Bec will write the rest.
Of course, since Bec and Rachel are the same person in the real world, Bec shares Rachel’s love of all things romance, including her one unbreakable rule that every story must have a very happy ending.
