“Did you know that the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach?” I looked past her, gesturing at the burnt toast on the kitchen work top. Taylor started laughing, “Well I guess that’s why I’m single.” That statement was interesting and one I was prepared to pursue further at a later date.
She looked at me questioningly with her hands on her hips, “Is there any particular reason you are back here? Mr…” I looked her up and down taking in the little vixen before me. “Duke” I said holding out my hand. She took it in her tiny hand, giving it a firm shake. “Apart from saving your arse, I have a business proposition for you.” She assessed me for a while, “Well Mr… Duke, you’d better take me out to lunch so that we can discuss further.”
