“Take your time,” I say. “Because you can.”
He needs no further prompting and lays me down in the middle of the bed and kisses every inch of me, nipping at me with both his teeth and his fangs, until I am aching to bite him back.
“Not yet,” he mutters when I say this to him, and he lowers his mouth further and further down until he hits the wet and aching spot that is waiting for him. He groans as he dives his tongue into me, and I squirm at the electricity that is pouring out of him and into me. He licks me and sucks me, and it pushes me over the edge quickly. I want him to stay down there forever but the whole reason I am here is to take care of him, so I sit up and push him over and start the same kisses and nips all over his mouth, neck, chest, and stomach until he is panting with the effort of holding back. I take him in my mouth, and it is moments later that he grunts softly as he comes. I swallow and make my way back up him, to his neck, where I drop my fangs against his skin, grazing him.
“Oh fuck, yes,” he whispers. “Please, Liv, don’t make me wait anymore.”
I bite down harshly, ripping his neck open, and he gasps at the brutality of my actions before he grabs me and moves me over him, penetrating me with a quick thrust. It doesn’t take me long to come around him. His blood in my mouth, sliding deliciously down my throat, as I rake my claws down his chest, he follows quickly as if he can’t stop himself. I release him and kiss him, forcing a mouthful of his own blood down his throat and he groans as he thrusts inside me, already hard and ready for the next wave of pleasure to take him over.
“Fuck,” he whispers to me as I ride him, intent just on pleasing him for the moment. “Fuck,” he says again and again until he yells it as I ride him through his next orgasm, not giving him a chance to rest in between. I roll us back over so that he now has to do the work. He wraps his arms tightly around me as he moves slowly this time, building the pressure one thrust at a time. He drops his fangs and bites me gently in complete contrast to the ravaging I have given him. He suckles desperately as he speeds up his movements and I come for him as my blood pours into his mouth and he follows me again as he releases me with a loud cry of desire.
He is breathing heavily now as he lowers his forehead to mine, eyes closed. “Liv,” he rasps harshly. “What are you doing to me?” he asks me but doesn’t wait for an answer as he delves his tongue into my mouth. He pulls out of me for the first time since he first entered me, and I want him back. I need him back inside me. I growl in protest and he chuckles, “Easy tiger. I need a minute.” He rolls onto his back and I turn into him, snuggling against his chest.
“One minute,” I say as I kiss and suck on him until he chokes back a laugh.
“Christ, woman, if I thought you were worth the wait before, I most definitely amend that to now. How am I supposed to wait a whole week for this again?” he adds almost sadly.
“I’m not done with you yet,” I say wickedly, and he moans. I trail blazing paths down his chest with my hands and then stop. He looks up at me and then is on his knees in an instant as he sees me turn around and bend over. “Oh yes,” he breathes, and he wastes no time in pushing himself inside me. He pounds into me and I bunch my fingers into the covers to stop myself from coming too soon. I want this to last as he is driving me wild. I can feel that fizzy, fiery Fae connection between us and it is like every nerve ending is being stimulated at the same time. I know that he can feel it too as he slows down and pulls right out of me, before thrusting all the way back in. He does that four or five more times before I can’t hold on any longer and neither can he and we come together loudly and intensely. I am ready for dropping, needing a minute myself now, but he doesn’t give me one as I didn’t give him one. He kneels back on his heels, pulling me back with him. He drops his fangs again as he plays with my nipples, tweaking them softly as he bites me as harshly as I did to him. Staying inside me but not moving, he starts to play with me, careful not to nick me with his claws, and I push myself against his hand. He releases me just to whisper, “I have wanted to do this for so long. Come for me baby.” He sinks his fangs back into me and I do come for him. Long and hard, arching my back against him as he tightens his grip on my breast, squeezing it hard before he tugs on my nipple, causing a sensation to ripple from my back teeth all the way down to my toes. He stops drinking from me and snaps his fangs back, spinning me around to face him. “Oh, Liv, I know that I shouldn’t, but I am falling so far in love with you, I can’t stop it.”
I can’t say anything back to him, so I just kiss him tenderly, and he sighs, knowing it is a distraction, his green eyes fogging over slightly as I pull back and drop my fangs. He shuffles underneath me and wraps my legs around him, holding me close as I bite him softly this time. I suckle slowly on him as he did to me, relishing the sweet taste of him. I drink for a long time and he relaxes into the bite as I move over him slowly, giving him everything he wants, everything he needs.
“Oh, Liv, this is so perfect,” he mutters. “I never dreamed it could be like this.” He shudders as he comes again and I release him, retracting my fangs before I kiss him. He pushes me away from him, holding onto my hips as he stares into my eyes. I feel a mental fog go over me and I just sink into it. I just want to keep riding him as he whispers words to me, unintelligible words that drift up and down and over me before he kisses me sweetly and then moves his lips over my jaw and down my neck, leaning forward as he pushes me further back. He takes my nipple in his mouth, pushing on my backside to get me to ride him faster. The fog starts to clear, and I can feel myself on the verge of falling over the edge when he drops his fangs and bites down on my nipple, pushing against my back to get me closer to him. I cry out as the orgasm rips through me and somewhere in the back of my head, I am yelling at him to stop because that isn’t for him. It is for CK only. But he doesn’t stop, he keeps on sucking until another wave washes over me and any betrayal I feel, washes away with it as he lets me go and kisses me as he comes again.
Thoroughly spent, we fall back to the bed in each other’s arms. We lie in silence for a while and then I turn onto my back, pulling the cover over me in a sudden sense of modesty. He turns on his side and props himself up on his elbow and trails his finger up and down in between my breasts, pushing the sheet back down. “Liv,” he says as he takes my face in his hand and turns me to face him. “Thank you.” It is barely a whisper, but I hear him and shake my head.
“Don’t thank me, Seb. It makes it feel like…I don’t know…services rendered or something. It isn’t like that.”
“I’m sorry. I don’t mean to make it sound like that. I just…it has been so long since I had someone willing take me like that. Even then, it wasn’t like that,” he adds with a smile.
“You had someone who knew?” I ask, now madly curious, and it’s as good a time as any to ask.
A shadow passes over his face. “Yes, a long, long time ago.”
“What happened?” I dare ask.
“She betrayed me, and Constantine killed her,” he says coldly and clams up, but I’m not ready to drop this.
“Who was she? Who was she, to you?”
He looks at me for a long moment debating with himself whether to tell me or not. He must decide that we are in a place where secrets hold no meaning anymore and he says, “My wife.”
Chapter 20
“Your wife? She betrayed you?” I ask, shocked that someone he loved and trusted could do that.
“Not just my wife, my charge,” he adds, with a bitter twist to his lips as he turns onto his back and stares at the ceiling.
“Oh, Sebastian. I’m so sorry.” I turn onto my side and place my hand on his chest.
He shrugs. “It was over two thousand seven hundred years ago. The sting of betrayal has all but faded.”
“But still…”
“It’s fine,” he says and faces me. “Puts you in a special place though. If you ever betrayed me, I know our sire wouldn’t kill you and he wouldn’t let me do it either. You pretty much have me
over a barrel.”
“Do you really think I would do that?” I frown at him, disturbed that he has obviously thought about it.
“Honestly, no I don’t. You have nothing to gain from it and everything to lose. He may not kill you, but he would never speak to you again,” he says.
“Don’t be so sure on the killing part,” I say, knowing we have crossed over the serious bridge into easier territory. “Sometimes I swear I make him so mad, just his look alone would do me in if I weren’t so invulnerable.”
He laughs easily. “Don’t I know it. You know how to push his buttons. I find it quite amusing actually.”
“Do you know what I still can’t believe? That all this time has passed and I only just these last few months know about you. How does he do that? Keep everything so close to his vest? Especially you.”
“Fear, I guess.”
“Fear of what? I haven’t known him to be afraid of anything,” I scoff.
“You really don’t know, do you?” he asks, sitting up.
“What?” I say perplexed.
“He is terrified that someone will come along and take you from him.”
“He knows that won’t happen.”
“It already has, only he won’t accept it.”
“He has accepted it. He knows what the deal is.”
“Hm,” he says and lies back down. “You alone have the capability to either make him the happiest man alive or to destroy him completely. Don’t make the wrong choice.”
I was going to yell at him to mind his own business, when I am interrupted by a beeping from his phone. “Half an hour,” he says as he turns it off. “You should get showered and fed.”
“You have me on a tight schedule,” I say as I climb out of bed and look around.
“Not me. If it were up to me you would be here all day, well actually, for the rest of my life.”
My eyes find his again and he flushes slightly as he says, “You know that thing you did with the blood, my blood? That was probably one of the hottest things I have ever experienced.”
I smile and say, “Really?”
“Oh yes. Our sire always said you could make a man forget himself. I never understood what that meant until today.”
I crawl back on to the bed and take his face in my hands. “My sweet Sebastian,” I say, and he starts. “You have truly missed out on some of the best things Vampire life can offer.”
“She called me that,” he chokes. “The other you, she called me that. Why did you call me that?”
“It’s fitting. You taste so sweet, it is intoxicating.”
“Describe it,” he whispers with his eyes closed.
“The second your blood hits the tongue you taste like honey and as it slides down your throat, you can taste strawberries and cream and warm apple pie.”
“Uh…” he says as he finds my mouth and kisses me. “You taste like cherries with a spicy kick.”
I giggle. “So I’ve been told.” I pull away and ask, “Bathroom?”
“Oh, it’s on the second floor. It’s too small up here. I’ll take you.” He wraps his arms around me and Teleports us into the shower. My eyes widen as I see the full-length glass window in the shower, overlooking the extensive grounds. “Wow. That is very cool.”
“I know,” he says as he turns to the jets on. “Thank fuck we don’t have neighbors,” he adds with an impish glint in his eye as he picks me up and pushes me against it as he enters me. I gasp as he hits the spot dead on and hoping this is safety glass as he pounds me up against it, I come quickly as does he.
“Never, in all my life have I felt this way,” he murmurs to me. “If we are truly destined to be together, Liv, I can’t let you go. I can’t let him have you. I won’t. If you are my Chosen One, I will make you my wife. Damn the consequences.” He kisses me before I can protest and Teleports out, leaving me breathless and worried about what all of this means.
I shower quickly and as I step out there is a swift knock and the door opens. In strides a man I have never seen before, but I assume is the Feeder. Ramon is on a break for the next two days. I have been feeding solely from him twice a day and it is taking its toll on him. I am going to have to speak to CK about finding someone else. I take what I can from him, but it isn’t enough. Sebastian has taken a lot out of me and I feel weary.
I Astral back upstairs and find him staring out of the window. “Did you feed?”
“Yes, thank you. I hate to sound all Oliver Twist though, but I need more.”
He snickers. “I have taken a lot from you today. Take some back,” he says, holding his hands up. I take them gratefully as his phone beeps again. “Five minutes,” he mouths, and I speed up the process. His energy fills me, and I feel completely strong again. I quickly get dressed and pick my shoes up.
“You need to tell him,” he says suddenly. “He needs to know about you and about us.”
“I can’t, Seb. Not now. I told you if it comes to that then I will. We don’t know if Drake is going to show, he might never acknowledge me. By the sounds of it, I am not sure I want him to. He sounds dreadful and it is just going to complicate everything.”
“But if we belong together, then we need to be together, Liv. To deny it would be a bad move.”
“And what about CK and my husband?” I ask him, expecting him to answer.
He doesn’t and we just stare at each other.
“I should go,” I say eventually as the phone dings for, I imagine, one minute. Christ, he wasn’t taking any chances I might be late.
“Yeah. I’ll see you back in England,” he says with a smile and a quick kiss.
I nod and disappear down the stairs two at a time. I open the midway door that leads to the second floor and practically trip over CK who is sitting on the floor outside the door staring at his phone. He tucks it away as he sees me, no doubt counting down to make sure I am on time.
“Hi,” I say and hold out my hand to help him up.
“Hi,” he says and takes it. “You are well?” he asks formally.
“I’m fine,” I say with a smile. “Now about those plans you had…” I pull him closer to me and he stiffens slightly but then relaxes as he sniffs delicately and comes up with soap and water. I have to sigh inwardly at him. Well, all Vampire men. They are so territorial, CK more than most.
“Ah, yes. My plans to sweep you off your feet,” he says as he does exactly that and I laugh in delight as he twirls me round. “First things,” he says and Teleports us outside into the weak, late February sun and gestures to a picnic he has had set up in the gardens.
“Perfect,” I say, clapping my hands and then throwing my arms around his neck. He kisses me quickly and then pushes me down to sit. He hands me a pair of Ray-Bans as he dons his own and sits on the blanket kitty-corner to me. I gratefully put on the sunglasses. My eyes stop squinting and I take in the beautiful view as he hands me a glass of champagne. “Bit early,” I chuckle as I take it.
“Makes no difference to us, my sweet. We can drink all day, every day. Just enjoy it and stop being so moral,” he teases me, and I snort in amusement.
“It really tickles me that you all go around calling me moral. By most human standards I am the most immoral being on the planet. I should be walking around with a scarlet ‘A’ pinned to my front.”
He chokes on his champagne as he stifles his laugh. “Oh, my love, if I thought I could get away with it, I would pin it on you myself.”
I smile prettily at him and he beams at me. “There is a lot you could get away with, but you don’t want to try,” I say darkly in contrast to my sweet smile.
His own expression darkens. “Don’t tempt me, you might regret it.”
“Doubtful,” I say cheerfully and take a swig of my champagne.
He takes the high road and ignores me, changing the subject to something else. “Aefre, there are some papers I want you to sign,” he says and leans over to pull out a blue folder from the basket.
“What is it?” I
ask, taking it from him. I flick through it and my eyes widen in surprise.
“My reasons for going to Geneva were twofold. This is one of them.” He hands me his Montblanc pen and I just stare at it.
“No. CK this isn’t necessary,” I say, closing the folder.
“No, it isn’t, but it is something that I want to do.”
“I don’t need it, it is…” I wave my hand about, trying to find the right word.
“It is what I want. I want you to be named on everything that I own, Aefre. It doesn’t matter if you need it or not.”
“The castle is enough, Constantine,” I say with a frown and he returns it as I have used his full name. “It is enough that we have a home together, something that is ours. I don’t need all the rest.”
“I know you don’t need it, but I want you to have it.” He is getting annoyed now and I smile inwardly. Only he would get mad at me for refusing to take half of his vast, vast fortune that makes my own look like pocket change. I never actually knew exactly how much money he has, but I counted thirteen figures on his bottom line and that is just his bank accounts. With this place and all the other properties and investments he has, I start to shake as I take in the enormity of his estate. It is bordering on unreal.
“It is what couples do, Aefre. They share,” he says to me as I remain silent and shaky.
I slap my hand to my mouth to stop myself from laughing out loud as, oh my gods! Did he just say that to me? He, who couldn’t even bear to let me share his bedroom officially with him for centuries, making sure that I had my own to go back to.
He glares at me as he sees the laughter dancing in my eyes. “Yes, I can see that this turnabout amuses you, but there is no need to make fun.”
“Oh, my love, I am not making fun of you,” I say, chastised. “It is just a huge shock, that is all. It’s staggering. Can I think about it?”
