Eye of the Dragon (Vision of a Dreaming God) (Fallen Drakon Empire Book 3) Page 10

by Diana Drakulich

Roxanne was struck speechless. Everything else drifted away. Zoran was pure power and sex on legs. A supremely male being who calmly ruled this wild primitive world. Her heart twisted, as he gazed into her soul with eyes like fiery embers.

Stepping forward she flowed effortlessly into his arms. Held him tight, heartbeat to heartbeat. Breathing him in.

“Thank God. You made it back.” Her warm breath wafted over his waiting ear.

Pulling back slightly he looked down at her, a smirk curving those succulent lips just made for kissing. “I had to bring Koba back. Kicking and screaming. He loved White City so much.”

  “Why?”

“Koba fell in love with the Rasta queen. Or was it with her gold?” Zoran threw a sarcastic glance at Koba.

“Thankyou Zoran for bringing this wild man back in one piece. I know how he loves gold and women.” She perused the Drakon’s scratched, cut and disheveled state. He wore a soft hide tunic that was basically hanging in shreds. “Where is Balian?”

The Drakon remained silent. A bad sign.

Koba spoke - “We were attacked by raptors. Balian was hurt but the healer says he will be okay. In time.”

“Oh no. That’s bad. But at least he made it out alive. Come sit by the fire. Tell us all about it.” She took Zoran’s hand. “Hungry?”

  “Starving.” Koba answered.

But Zoran remained silent. He wanted nothing more than to taste Roxanne. To lick, suck and nibble her satin smooth skin. To kiss her plush sensuous lips as he pressed his hard body against her soft curves.

“I caught some fish today.” There was a note of pride in Roxanne’s voice. “Just small ones though.” Kneeling next to the fire she placed two barbecued fish on leaf platters. Gave one to each of them. “Here. Eat.”

Roxanne wasn’t kidding the fish were small. The single fish she handed Zoran was barely the length of his hand. He lifted the platter to his nose. Inhaled. Delicious. In fact everything seemed enhanced right now - flavors, scents, colors.

And Roxanne. She fairly glowed in his eyes. That ash blonde hair shimmering silver in the firelight. Those long shapely legs curled under her. Her dancing eyes filled with light when she looked at him.

Taking his meal in hand, Zoran sat with his back against the cave wall in a shadowed area not clearly visible from the fire circle. Koba and Jivan paid no attention, caught up in animated conversation about White City.

Roxanne sat down close to him, her warm body vibrating with desire. “Tell me all. But first, eat.”

With his fingers Zoran tore off a piece of the fish’s white flesh. Chewed.

  “Hmmm…good.” He growled his pleasure.

It was a source of wonder - that this tiny fish could have so much flavor. Zoran took another bite. Chewed slowly. Savoring. He thought he had never tasted anything so good. So satisfying. Even though he had barely eaten in two days, running and fighting nearly the whole time, yet this one small fish seemed to last forever.

The simple meal was delicious. It was delicious to be alive. Here, where it was safe, near the fire with friends. And Roxanne’s warm pulsating presence by his side.

Zoran put down the leaf platter. Burped contentedly. Completely satisfied.

“Good? Hmmmh?” She hummed, leaning against him, her nose drifting along his earlobe.

He nuzzled her ear. “The fish was good. But not as good as you smell. I want to taste you. Tonight.”

“Oh, but didn’t you say I smell like fish?” Arching a brow she nudged his shoulder.

“What’s wrong with fish? Fish are like bread, the staff of life.” He teased. “What higher compliment is there?”

“I can think of a few.”

“Roxanne you are not like ordinary fish. Your meat is nice and thick, fresh and succulent. Juicy. Hmmmh,” His tongue swept suggestively across his lips.

“Oh so now I’m thick?” She smiled, coiling her arms around his neck. “You must have cast some wicked Drakon enchantment over me. I might even jump into a pool full of snakes for you.” She held up a cautionary finger. “I said might.”

White teeth glimmering in the leaping firelight, her hand slid up his thigh, over his bulge. Squeezed lightly.

“Ah I see...” He groaned softly. “You are spinning a spider’s web of desire to trap my heart. It’s a wicked thing you do Roxanne.” His intense golden gaze flashed currents of energy.

“Sometimes it feels good to be bad. I want you Zoran. More than I have ever wanted any man.” Her hand on his thigh, lightly pressing, rubbing the hard length of Him, the heat of Him under cover of darkness and shadows.

Of course Jivan and Koba were well aware of the erotic flirtation going on nearby. They could hear it. Sense it. Taste it in the air. But they ignored it. More important things to discuss, like all that gold in White City.

“I know you plan to leave Roxanne. Remember one thing, I am no boy. No toy for you to play with.” The Drakon growled low in Roxanne’s ear. He kissed her throat, his warm breath releasing a whiff of intoxicating pheromones. “Understand?”

He had her dead to rights. Roxanne was struck silent. She was not taking him seriously enough. She was only responding to the Drakon’s intense sexual allure. But Zoran was a real man with a real heart. A heart that could be broken.

“Yes Zoran, I understand.” She nodded. “You are my holy warrior.” My man. My future. Her heart said. His glowing eyes shone like a tunnel of light to a vast nameless destiny.

“And don’t you ever forget it.” He put an arm around her shoulder, drawing her into his side.

Feeling something hard against her hip, Roxanne’s eyes dropped to see the pistol in Zoran’s waistband. So the Drakon have laser weapons now. It’s the end of an era on Rastabahn.

Roxanne realized that she loved the primitive beauty, the lurking danger, the mystery of this primeval planet. But all that was on the back burner compared with what would happen tonight.

Tonight I’m gonna get my man.

However Zoran’s body had other ideas. The food, the warmth, the close companionship made him relax. He was completely, totally exhausted. Without another word he simply stretched out on the cave floor and passed out.

Damn. That didn’t last long. Oh well. At least he’s here. I can touch him. Sleep close to him. Roxanne got her blanket and spread it next to Zoran.

She stretched out against his lithe body and fell into a blissful sleep, inhaling his delectable scent. In the background she heard the rhythmic, pulsating animal calls of Rastabahn at night.

  Chapter 28

Hours later Zoran opened his eyes to darkness. Instantly aware. The fire was down to black and red coals. Barely visible in the moonlight Roxanne lay close to him. Koba and Jivan were asleep near the fire circle.

He watched her breast rise and fall as yesterday’s the events in White City played back in his mind - Battling the Rasta with Koba’s fire weapons. Stealing their gold. Balian’s injury.

Listening to Roxanne’s soft breathing. He wanted always to see her near him like this. He pulled her closer against his body.

  She moaned softly. “Zoran?”

“Aye Beauty, I am here for you. Always.” He trailed a callused fingertip over her soft lips, drawing a line over the seam of her mouth.

Leaning on an elbow he kissed her softly, adoringly. This might be their last night together. With the rescue beacon up, help could come with the light of day.

Or the next day. Or the next. Or maybe...never. He hoped. Time to make the most of what they had.

“Come.” The Drakon rose with fluid grace. Reaching down he took her hand, helped her up. She wore only a tshirt and shorts.

  “Where are we going?”

“To a place where we can discuss our future. In private.” He picked up Koba’s flashlight.

“Already you take our modern conveniences for granted?” She teased.

He nodded, flicking it on. “This torch is a marvelous invention. Too bad I don’t know how to make one o
f these. So we don’t become dependent on your technology.”

“Your people need modern weapons. It’s only a matter of time before the Arkons discover you here and take everything you have. They will reduce your people to slavery. Use you to mine the gold and gems on Rastabahn.”

“We will see about that.” His jaw clenched. “But this night is for us. You and I.”

Torch flicking back and forth to light the way, he led her deeper into Shebear Cave. Suddenly he pulled her against the cave wall.

  “What?”

“Sh-hh.” He flicked off the flashlight so they were immersed in blinding darkness.

Roxanne heard a thick rustling sound. Something was sliding across the passage floor. Coming closer. A heavy rank scent lay in the air. Her eyes began to make out shadows not but that was all.

  What is it?

The Guardian. Zoran answered telepathically as he slowly pulled the pistol out of his waistband. Don’t move. Don’t make a sound. Just let him go by.

Her heart began to race. Her palms to sweat. All survival instincts zoomed to the fore.

The rustling sound stopped. It was deathly quiet. The rank scent became stronger. A blacker than black shadow rose to the top of the cave ceiling towering over them.

The Guardian was looking down on them. Inspecting them for threat. Roxanne saw something flickering. It was the Guardian’s long black forked tongue flickering in and out, tasting the air for their scent.

And then the shadow dropped to the ground. The heavy sliding rustle moving on. But its movement was different from an ordinary animal or python. The Guardian flowed. Effortless. Yet very fast. An invisible dark force.

“Should we go back and warn Koba and Jivan?” Roxanne asked after it passed.

“Guardian will pass them by as long as they remain still or sleeping. He gets angry when strangers invade the cave. Tonight Guardian goes out to hunt. He is so quiet, so stealthy, he has passed you many times as you slept.”

“Oh my God I had no idea.” Roxanne quivered at the thought of that giant unknown power sliding by her at night as she slept.

They reached the ritual cavern. Roxanne looked around wide-eyed at the huge stalactites like dragon’s teeth, hanging from the high ceiling and erupting from the floor. At the lifelike wall drawings and statue of the giant cave bear on its hind legs.

“Ah!” Roxanne gasped when the torch flickered over the golden coiled serpent with the head of a man.

The serpent god’s multi-faceted ruby eyes were turned up in his head. A radiant golden halo embedded with glittering diamonds radiated from his face. Whether the serpent god was in a state of agony or ecstasy she could not tell.

“Who is that? A god? What is this place?”

“That is Rex Mundi - the Dreaming God. Lord of This World.” He waved an arm. “This is our initiation chamber where I learned the true meaning of what it is to be a man.”

  “How?”

“A door was opened in my mind. The door to my own powers.”

He said no more, silently leading her to a small adjoining cavern. A pile of furs were rolled up in the corner. He unrolled the furs and fluffed them into a pile.

Roxanne knelt down in the furs, so glossy and silky. So luxurious compared to her skimpy blanket on the cave floor.

Arms crossed over his chest, the Drakon male leaned against the wall, watching her. His fierce captivating eyes stared into her soul, demanding the truth. Mixed with that were flickering flames of raw lust.

“So...the rescue beacon is up on Mt. Kolor. How soon do you think help will come for you?” He asked, a flash of pain clouding his expression.

“I don’t know. Days, weeks, months, years. Maybe never.”

He stepped closer, his fingers trailing through her hair. “Stay or Go? Have you made up your mind yet Roxanne?”

His hand sank into her hair and twisted, arching her neck back so that she looked up into his eyes. Leaning down he gave her a soft, searing kiss. “Hmmmh? Tell me.” He purred.

“I don’t know Zoran. I love it here on Rastabahn. I love being with you. I never met a anyone like you before.” She said, inhaling his addicting musky, scent.

Kneeling beside her, Zoran took her hand and pressed her palm over his strong beating heart. “Feel my heart? It beats for you Roxanne.” His warm vibrance shot tingles up her arm.

“It’s just that…” She struggled for words - “How can I live in this primitive state for the rest of my life? No modern medicine. Constant threat from dangerous animals. No computer. No contact with the outside world. No amenities.”

“No `amenities’? Are you sure about that?” With a slow sexy grin he took her hand, pressed it against his bulge. “How about this for an amenity? A strong male who wants you, for a lifetime. Who wants to have children with you. Care for you. Protect you. Love. Family - what greater `amenities’ in life are there?”

“You’re right Zoran. Still we barely know each other. How do I know you won’t tire of me? Or I of you? It might be wonderful for a while but then some disaster could befall us.”

“Aye. Life is like that. A man cannot predict what will come. Only the Great Spirit knows that. But the Great Spirit brought you to me.”

“I don’t want to leave you Zoran. But...I just don’t know what to do.”

“Let us speak no more of it then. Tonight is for US.”

Placing a warm palm over her core he rubbed gently. Her pussy clenched in response. She moaned softly.

He planted his lips on hers in a slow melting kiss. “What do you call a woman’s mound in your language?” He asked.

Her gaze turned shy. “We have many names: vagina, pussy…”

“Pussy.” His lips curved in a wicked smile. “I like that name. We have many names for this too.” He kept rubbing, sending waves of desire shooting through her veins.

  “Oh? Tell me.”

“One of our names for your `pussy’ is `bread’.”

  “Bread?” She laughed.

“Aye. Bread. Because this means Life.” He possessively palmed her core, sending warm currents through her body. “Your woman’s core is the Bread of Life. From here comes all Life. So if I say, I want to `Eat your Bread’, you know what I mean.”

A host of sensual images slithered through her mind. Her core clenched. Heat flared in his golden amber eyes as he read her need for him.

“I like `pussy’. A small animal with soft fur isn’t it?

  “Yes.” Roxanne giggled.

“No more `bread’. I want to eat `pussy’. I like that purring sound a happy pussy makes.” He rumbled deep in his throat as he nuzzled up and down her neck, then nipped her earlobe. “Do you purr little pussy?”

Roxanne giggled, squeezing her legs together against her throbbing core.

“So will you be a good girl tonight and let me have my way? Because I want to eat your sweet pussy.” He growled, rubbing, squeezing her woman’s mound.

A waft of primal power shot through Roxanne’s senses. “So what do your people call this?” She lightly cupped and squeezed his protuberant bulge as he leaned against her.

He pressed a warm palm over her hand. “This is my God-Cock. Feel free to worship it. Please.” He added, his piercing eyes beaming rays of sensual need.

“Your `God-Cock’? Wow. Talk about ego. You Drakon men think alot of yourselves and your... equipment.” She rubbed and squeezed harder.

“We have to. My god-cock is perfectly made by the Creator to bring you pleasure, and to create new life. In you. That is godly, is it not?”

“Or you can call it my One-Eyed Snake. Very dangerous venom.” His expressive eyes were hooded. “Once bitten, never recover. Addicted for life.” His voice low and rasping. “Hmmh?” He hummed as his lips melted into hers.

With a saucy smile she pulled back. “If you are poisonous, I should stay away from you.”

“Nay. Come here. Now. I want my pussy.”

“No.” Grinning she scooted back, challenging his master
y.

The air between them ignited, coming alive. The Drakon seemed to grow larger, visibly vibrating, his golden skin throwing off powerful mating signals.

“No? You dare tell mighty Zoran - NO?” He growled, a mischievous grin curving sensuous lips.

“Yes.” She taunted. “I mean No.”

“Yes you dare to tell me `No’, or `Yes’ you will obey me? Little pussies who disobey punished. Drakon warriors don’t tolerate disobedience in their mates.”

“Who says I’m your mate?” Shaking her head, long honey gold hair fluffing like a lion’s mane, she backed up on hands and knees.

“You. Are. Mine.” With every word Zoran prowled after her on all fours until she was backed against the wall. “Come. Here.”

Gripping her wrists in one large hand, he lifted her to her feet, holding her hands against the wall.

Roxanne stared up into the Drakon’s gleaming, enigmatic eyes. His thick black mane framed a bold, lionesque face. A face that projected the fluid power of an apex predator. His charismatic allure drew her to him like a flaming fire on a freezing night.

“Who do you belong to? Tell me. Say my name.” He kissed her lips, tender but passionately carnal. His lips brushed her cheek, down her neck, nibbling, nuzzling. “Hmmm? Speak.” Rocking his bulge against her core, stimulating her.

“Ahh...I belong to… Myself?” Roxanne squeaked, finding it a little difficult to think. Her body tingling. Alive. Streaming with passion.

“Wrong.” He grunted. “You belong to Me.” He pulled her wrists higher overhead making her back arch, forcing her breasts out. “As I belong to You.”

Nibbling, he sucked one turgid nipple over her shirt while his sensuous fingers flicked and pinched the other. She moaned softly.

“So is this the ahh Drakon Domination phase of our courtship?”

  Chapter 29

“Definitely. Tonight you find out who is the boss. Tonight I stake my claim. On you.” Kissing her lips with gentle adoration his warm palm cupped, then stroked her woman’s mound.
