Marlee’s heart thumped and she let out her breath. “Take care, Nelor,” she called out.
“You too, Marlee.” Nelor’s voice was faint. “Bring back that rescue.”
“We will. I promise,” Tyris said firmly.
He reached out and squeezed Marlee’s hand then he turned the nose of the Hylista around. Marlee stared out at the darkness.
