Doing her neck movement thing, “the babies can have your last name without us being together or getting married. Besides, if I weren’t pregnant with your babies, would you want to get married now?”
Looking at the ceiling to try to maintain my tone without coming across as yelling at her, “no I probably wouldn’t be asking you to marry me today if you weren’t pregnant but that’s not the case, you are.” Flailing my hand in the air, “not any of this really matters, they are my babies and I want their mother to have the same last name as their father.”
“Well,” she says in a long, drawn out tone, “I’m not getting married.”
“What about your dad. He is going to be pissed to know that his precious princess is pregnant by the man whom he considers a retard?”
Judging by the look on her face, I’ve got her. “I hadn’t thought about daddy but this is my life. I have to do what is best for me.”
“That’s just it, Sharon, this isn’t about you anymore. We both have to think like that from here on out.”
“You keep saying we, our relationship is such a mess.”
Shaking my head with my eyes closed, “no it isn’t. We were getting along just fine until that bachelor party.” Seeing the pain in her face, “babe, I promise, nothing happened. I was wrong to allow Amy to touch me but I was drunk as shit. I really tried to push her away but she was so damned aggressive. Sebastian was there, he will tell you.”
“Aiden, I heard you mention something on that video about not wanting to go into a room with her because talking would be the last thing on your mind.”
Nodding at her, “I did say that, I said a lot of shit, but I knew I wasn’t going to sleep with her. Hell, I was trying to call you when she came over.” Recalling what Sebastian told me about her and Terrance Scott in the Bahamas, I ask, “where were you when I called?”
Do I detect a little guilt in her expression? “Sean and I went out to a club. I didn’t have my phone with me so I missed your call.”
I should bust her ass right now. Sebastian was right, she was being foul too.
Staring at her to see if she’s going to break, she doesn’t. “I just saw photos of you out with Terrance Scott.” Um hmm, now she’s shifting around in her seat. “Where do you know him from?”
With a raised eyebrow, “I met him while in the Bahamas. He asked my out for lunch after the news flash of you cheating on me again,” she says with a little attitude in her voice.
Damn, she’s telling me the truth. “First of all, I didn’t cheat on you and that hug that you shared with him, was the hug of someone whom you’re familiar with.”
“Aiden, it was a hug. I don’t know what you’re trying to insinuate but it’s probably best that you not go there.”
“Well, I won’t go there but where were you and Brian coming from earlier this morning?”
Rolling her eyes at me, she frowns, “Aiden, why? Not any of what you’re asking me has to do with me being pregnant unless you think that these babies might belong to another man!”
What in the hell is she talking about? “Why would I think that my babies belong to another man? No, Sharon, I trust you but I want you to realize that I could easily accuse you of sleeping with Brian and Terrance based on how it all looks. You base all of your allegations on how things appear all the time. I haven’t cheated on you in more than a year, I keep telling you that over and over but for some reason, you choose to believe the worst.”
Covering her mouth, she gets up to run into the guest bathroom which is located just down the hallway. Following behind her, I reach into the linen closet to grab a towel. “Oh God, I hate morning sickness.” Leaning her head over the toilet, I squat down beside her to rub her back. “Aiden, did you have to follow me in here? This is so disgusting.”
Getting up to wet the towel, “yes, I don’t want you to go through all of this by yourself.”
Resting her head against the toilet, “I don’t see you losing your breakfast.”
“If I could take on your morning sickness, I would.”
“Yeah right,” she says getting up from the floor. Taking the towel from my hand, she places it over her face. “I need to brush my teeth again.”
Following her into my bedroom, the sway of her ass, compliments of pregnancy, has me in a trance. Damn, she’s fine! I really need to redirect my thoughts. “Why don’t you lie down for a while, maybe you’ll feel better.”
“Actually, Aiden, I want to go home.”
“I’m not taking you home. If I take you home, you’re going to close me out. We need to come up with a plan for our future. Like it or not, we are going to be together for a long time.”
I can tell she’s contemplating her next comment, but she doesn’t say anything. Surprisingly, she climbs into bed without arguing. Not being able to resist, I climb in behind her in a spoon position. The instant contact with her butt has Snake on instant arousal.
“Aiden, I’m going to have and keep the babies, but I don’t want to get married.”
Losing my erection, “so what do you propose we do concerning our living arrangement?”
“Our living arrangement?” she says turning to face me, “you will keep your place and live here and I will keep my place and live there.”
“We can’t do that with two babies! Especially not in the beginning. Do you realize how much work is involved with taking care of a baby?” Knowing the answer to my own question, “no, you don’t, you have no idea. We’re having two babies so we’re going to need each other.”
“Aiden, we are not going to live together. Period. You can forget that.” She’s in rare form now, “It’s bad enough that I’m pregnant without being married, but I’m not shacking up with you too.”
This girl is pissing me off. Why am I dating a black woman with all this damn drama? Oh yeah, I love her crazy ass! “I never once suggested that we ‘shack up together’ and like always, you take everything to the extreme. All I’m suggesting is that we make this right and get married.”
Sighing heavily, “I’m not marrying you. You can’t control me Aiden. You are always trying to find ways to manipulate me into to doing what you want. Forget it. Now I told you that I would have the babies and that’s all I’m going to agree to.” Motioning to get up from bed, I grab her by the waist and pull her back down. “Let me up, I want to go home, now!”
Pushing her back so that I can position my body on top of hers, I look into her eyes, “do you think that I don’t love you?” Pulling her hands over her head, I kiss the side of her neck. “Babe, I love you so much and I just want to do what’s right. These are my kids too, I need to take care of you and them. Not to manipulate you, but to do what’s right.”
“Then move,” she says.
Grinding my hips against hers, “that’s what I’m doing.”
“Not like that, I mean get up.”
“Yeah, okay.” Before she can utter another word, I cover her mouth with my own and begin my slow seduction. I’m going to enjoy this pregnancy.
Chapter Thirty Three
I’m so glad this week is finally over. On Monday, Camille and I met with the financial advisor to go over our records. According to our advisor, we are doing very well considering the rapid decline of the economy. That was good news. However, Camille being Camille, she decides to throw a ‘small’ gathering that’s scheduled for later this evening to celebrate.
On Tuesday, Aiden and I met with the Dr. Fura, my new obstetrician, who confirmed that I’m eleven weeks pregnant, with twins. She estimates that the babies will be due the last week of March. Hearing that the babies are due in March, Aiden has been really working my nerves by suggesting that we get married. I finally got him to shut up by giving him a key to my house. Big mistake!
On Wednesday and Thursday, I had to deal with him just showing up early on both days for a ‘breakfast’ that only he was allowed to eat. It seems that since finding out I’m pregnant, all he wants to do is have sex. I can hardly think with h
im always around invading my space. It’s so frustrating. Although I will admit, the sex is fantastic. He’s very tiring both mentally and physically.
Now it’s Friday and Camille has been running around here all day like a chicken with her head cut off. I’ve been trying to help her but even she is working my nerves. After hearing her ramble on and on about how this should be here and that should be there, I had to get away and go to the safest place for me which now is my office. Hearing a knock on my door, “What!”
Walking into my office frowning, “why aren’t you out there helping? The guest will be here soon.”
“Help with what? There’s nothing to do out there. You just need to calm the hell down!”
“Whoa, you sure have been in a foul mood today. Are you upset with Aiden?”
Now, why the hell would she assume that’s my problem? Hell, who am I fooling, that’s always my problem. “No Camille, I’m not upset with anyone.”
Staring at me with that “I don’t believe you look,” she says, “then come on, the party has started.” Shaking her hips, she grabs my hand and leads me out of my office.
Walking out into the main area, I didn’t realize that so many people have already arrived. Deciding that I should mingle with our guests, I put on my fake smile and begin to make rounds. Looking towards the door, I see Aiden walking in. He looks absolutely stunning tonight. He’s wearing a charcoal grey Armani suit, his favorite designer, with a crisp white shirt and no tie. The suit hugs his body like a glove. He’s so sexy but I don’t want to deal with him right now. Maneuvering through the crowd as quickly as I can without being noticed, I escape back into the privacy of my office and close the door.
I find that whenever I need to be alone to think, the best place is in my office where I can look out of the window and revel in God’s creation. There’s not much to see but trees and grass but it’s all so magnificent! It’s the one place where I can commune with God and find peace. And right now, I really feel that I need direction in my life. I’m not sure how long I’ve been sitting here but a faint knock at the door interrupts my meditation.
“Hey beautiful, why are you hiding in here?”
Turning in my chair to face Brian, “I’m not feeling up to entertaining.”
Walking to lean against the corner of my desk, “have you been crying?”
Laying my head on his thigh, “Oh Brian, my life is such a mess right now.”
Rubbing his hand through my hair, “come on Sharon, it can’t be that bad.”
Through the steady stream of tears that won’t seem to stop, “you’re right, it’s not just bad, it’s worse!”
I can tell Brian is at a loss for words because he just keeps running his fingers through my hair.
Raising my head from his thigh, I turn back around to look out of the window again, “I’m pregnant.”
Standing up from the desk, “you’re what?”
Using the back of my hands, I wipe my tears away, “pregnant, with twins.”
“Wow, does Aiden know?”
“Yes, he knows, he was with me when I found out. He took me to the emergency room Saturday morning after you left.”
“Damn Sharon. I don’t know what to say. I thought you were on the pill.”
“I was on the pill but according to my obstetrician, the antibiotics that I was taking for a sinus infection affected the effectiveness of the pill.”
“Damn, that’s messed up. Have you told your dad?”
Lightly sobbing, “no one knows besides you.”
“Does Aiden plan to marry you?”
I guess all guys think that marriage is the solution. “He mentioned that we should get married but I’m not going to marry him.”
Rubbing his hand down the side of his face, “well, you know I’m here for you in whatever you decide to do.”
Nodding my head, “I know, thanks Brian.”
“How did Aiden take the news about the babies?”
With a said giggle, “he seems to be handling things a lot better than I am, that’s for sure.”
Pulling me up from the chair, he gives me the hug that I’ve needed all week. Crying into his shoulder, he just holds me until my tears subside. “Come on, you need to go back out there and mingle. Having a baby or babies is not the end of the world. I think you may just be a little scared is all, but you’re going to be a great mother. I have full confidence in you.”
Attempting to smile, I say, “thank you Brian, you always know exactly what to say to make me feel better even when you may be lying.”
Going into the restroom to freshen up, Brian and I make our way back to the party.
Chapter Thirty Four
Looking around for an escape from this boring conversation that I’m having with one of the worker’s at the spa, Tony, I think he said, I see Sharon standing next to Brian. She looks so beautiful tonight. She’s has her hair down. I love it when she wears it all curly and pulled back with a headband. Seeing her walk away from Brian, I notice that she’s wearing a black pencil skirt, white tailored blouse, wide belt, most likely to hide the bulge of her stomach and a pair of black sling back heels. She looks absolutely gorgeous.
This guy can’t have a life. He’s still talking. “Look Tony, is it? I need to go speak with someone. Nice talking to you.” Making my way through the crowd, I come to stand directly next to Sharon while she’s talking to some lady. Has she been crying? Placing my hand on the small of her back, I lean over to kiss the side of her neck. She always smells so good. Whispering in her ear, “you okay?”
Nodding at me, I can tell that she’s a bit uncomfortable. We haven’t told anyone about the pregnancy yet and Sharon is so paranoid that people already know. I’m about to ask her if she wants to go and talk but Camille is coming our way.
“Sharon, there you are, I was looking for you.”
Uncertainty on her face, “I went into my office for a few minutes, what did you need.”
“Nothing, I just didn’t see you.”
SJ is moving around in Camille’s arms and out of the blue, he reaches for Sharon. This is a child who cries when Sharon merely looks at him for too long. Leave it to Sebastian to shed light on everything. Grabbing for his son, he says, “SJ, what’s up with you? I think he’s beginning to recognize pretty girls now.”
Contemplating whether or not I should try to take him to relieve Sharon, SJ is kicking his legs and whimpering trying to get to Sharon. Looking at me, she takes him from Sebastian’s arms. I can tell she is so uncomfortable but SJ appears to be in heaven.
“Wow girl, I’ve never known SJ to behave like that over anyone other than me and Sebastian,” Camille says.
Not taking my eyes off of Sharon, “like Sebastian said, it’s probably because she’s is so pretty.”
The evening is drawing to an end and Sharon has returned to her office. SJ threw the biggest tantrum when Camille finally decided to take him away. Man, I will never forget the look on Sharon’s face when SJ kept nuzzling against her breasts and opening his mouth to be fed. That look was priceless. It was then that she tried to hand SJ to me but he wouldn’t let anyone hold him but her. As soon as Camille took him, Sharon almost ran to her office.
Knocking on the door before entering, she’s sitting in her chair looking out into the dark field, a sure sign that she’s thinking. “You ready to go?”
Pulling her hair back, “Aiden, did you see what SJ did?”
Turning her chair in my direction, “yeah, I saw him.”
Letting out a deep breath, “do you think anyone else saw him?”
“No babe, I don’t. Stop thinking so hard about what happened.”
“That was the most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to me. I felt like I was being raped by a baby!”
Laughing at her comment, “he was pretty aggressive.” Seeing that she’s serious, “why don’t I take you home? I’m sure you’ve had a long day.”
“Trying day is what I’ve had.” Reaching for her purse, “y
ou don’t have to drive me home. I have errands to run in the morning so I don’t want to leave my car here.”
“We can get your car in the morning.”
Sitting back down in her chair, “Aiden, when I gave you a key, I didn’t think that you would crowd my space. I’ve already told you that I don’t want to live together and by you being at my house so much, it’s like you’ve already moved in.”
I recognize she’s on her emotional roller coaster and I’m not riding tonight. “Sharon, I’m not trying to crowd your space, I just want to make sure that you get home safely.” That was such a lie. What I want to do is undress her and lick her in every spot that my hands touch, not leaving any area untouched. Man, I think that since finding out Sharon is pregnant, I’ve gotten hornier, if that’s even possible.
Rolling her eyes in my direction, “well maybe you should try a little harder not to.”
Leaning against the door with my hands in my pockets, “Again, I just want to make sure that you make it home safely. After all, you are carrying my babies so I’m actually looking out for them too.”
Getting up from the chair and grabbing her purse, “yeah, whatever Aiden, let’s go.”
Walking towards me, she looks so damn sexy. What I really want to do right now is have my way with her on top of her desk. Damn, that’s a thought and I’m going to act on it. Turning to lock the door, I start removing my jacket.
Stopping in front of me with her hand on her hip, “what are you doing?”
Licking my lips, “I’m going to make love to you on top of your desk.”
Taking a few steps back with both hands raised, “um, no, we are not doing that in here.”
Slowly walking towards her, I wrap my hands around her waist, pulling her to me. I lick then suck on her bottom lip before invading her mouth. Hearing her groan, I move my hands to her butt, gently squeezing while doing a slow grind with my pelvis. Trailing kisses to her neck, one of her most sensitive spots, I hear her moan. Oh yeah, I’ve got her now.
