Epilogue
(Six Years Later)
Sally laughed as she chased Amy around the playroom that once used to be the downstairs study. There was no trace of the boring wood paneling that used to adorn the walls. It was a nice cheerful pale yellow with all the toys a child could want. She laughed as her tiny fangs poked out.
“Amy, put your teeth back.”
She took a moment, stopped, and sucked them back in. She fell onto the floor, laughing.
“Salihah.”
Sally turned to see Connor entering the room. He looked tired after coming from work. Sally kissed him and Amy responded with an “Ewwww; you’re like mommy and daddy kissing all the time.”
“How is my wife today?” Connor asked lovingly.
“I'm very good now that my hot, hunky husband is home. How was work?”
“It was a difficult night; some crazy old Vampire running around turning people. We caught him, but now we have six baby vamps that need mentors. How is baby Salihah?”
“Stop calling him that. I know it’s a boy; I can feel it,” Sally demanded.
Connor reached down and rubbed Sally’s protruding round stomach lovingly. He wanted children right away, but Sally insisted they needed time together before they even thought about children. He was happy they waited. They’d had a nice time traveling and enjoying each other, and now they were expecting the first Lycan-Vamp in eighty years. They relied upon the Fae, who worked in various Holistic medical facilities, for prenatal care. Everything was progressing smoothly. They weren't very familiar with Lycan-Vamps, but what they could find out, they relied upon and were confident everything was fine.
Amy ignored their conversation and continued playing with her toys. Her favorite was a Monster High doll, Draculaura. It was the closest thing to a Barbie with fangs Sally could find. She wanted Amy to grow up proud of what she was. Abby entered the room and gave them both a knowing smile.
Sally took Connor by the hand and led him out of the room toward the bedroom. He knew exactly what she planned. Sally had an endless sexual appetite and since becoming pregnant it had tripled.
Sally closed the bedroom door behind them and kissed Connor.
“I love you, Salihah,” Connor said as he stripped off his shirt.
“You make me happier than I ever imagined I could be.”
“This is only the beginning, my love”
