Alexia smiled and then walked over toward Edward’s desk. Edward wasn’t sure what she was doing and he suddenly got slightly nervous at the thought of her touching him. She perched on the edge of his thick marble desk and rested her weight on one hand. No one had ever been as confident in Edward’s presence before and although he was taken aback by her lack of boundaries, he was also enjoying the way she made him feel uncomfortable.
“Oh, Mr. Ramsey, you know what people with money are like – we all know everything about everyone.” She playfully ran her hand through her dark curls and then looked back at him. “We socialize in similar circles and I have heard good things about financial decisions you have made, some special investments that required exceptional knowledge, shall we say.” Alexia looked down at Edward. She was trying hard to forge a bond between them as she wanted Edward to trust her. “Even if you are not able to do the trades for me, perhaps you might be able to give me some insight into what I should or shouldn’t buy?”
Edward sensed that the direction of the conversation had changed and he wasn’t entirely sure he wanted to carry on. “Well, we always offer our clients the best advice possible but like I said, I’m not a personal banker so all I can do is suggest one of my trusted associates.”
Frustration flickered across Miss Fabrice’s face but she quickly moved in closer before Edward spotted it. Unexpectedly, she reached over and ran her finger along the top of Edward’s silver tie in a seductive manner. “Are you sure you can’t help me? Surely, there must be some secret knowledge that you have that you could share with me, just this once? I would do anything for your help.”
Alexia held onto the end of his tie as Edward clasped the handles of his armchair. His mind was filtering several filthy thoughts that involved him and a naked Miss Fabrice but this wasn’t the first time he been approached by an attractive woman looking for free information. He wanted her but he wasn’t about to risk his reputation for an unknown woman that had luckily talked her way into his office. He rolled back and then stood up.
“I wish there was something I could do for you but that’s just not how my company works. I will certainly give you the card of my top financial advisor but beyond that, there is nothing else.” Edward closed his Italian silk jacket and headed toward the door hoping that Miss Fabrice would follow him. “I have another meeting to get to but it was very nice to meet you, Miss Fabrice.”
Alexia pulled on her pink Channel jacket and picked up her matching purse but she seemed a little put out by Edward cutting the meeting. “I really appreciate the time you have given me and I hope you will change your mind.” As she reached the door she fingered through her little purse and then took out a plain white card with her personal information. She smoothly slipped it into Edward’s hand as she kissed him on the cheek and then whispered in his ear, “Call me, anytime.”
Edward watched as she walked away down the long corridor and past Tim’s corner cubicle to the elevator. He made himself close the office door so that she wouldn’t see him still watching her as she got into the elevator and disappeared. Edward looked down at the card in his hand which only had her name and phone number, and he wondered if he ever would call her. She certainly wasn’t the typical gold digger that tried it on with him in the hope of making an advantageous marriage, neither she seemed to be an ambitious trader that hoped to move up quickly by sleeping with the boss, and although he was undeniably attracted to her, Edward couldn’t help but feel that something was not quite right about the meeting.
“Tim,” Edward held down the intercom to his assistant. “Don’t let Miss Fabrice up to this level again. If she calls, put her through to the private banking desk. And you better never send in another client again without briefing me on it first.”
“Yes, Mr. Ramsey.” Tim’s shaky voice crackled on the intercom as Edward flicked Miss Fabrice’s card into the bin under his desk. He resumed his usual position in front of the computer and put aside all thoughts of the attractive, yet prying Miss Alexia Fabrice.
Chapter 2
“Fabulous party as usual, Edward.” Mrs. Jones complimented Edward as she kissed him on the cheek and casually slid her hand down the side of his black tuxedo.
“I’m glad you think so, Camilla. Enjoy yourself.” Edward faked a smile as he moved away and diverted his attention to other guests. His summer house in the Hamptons had been decked out for Edward’s annual black and white ball which was a traditional party for all the movers and shakers in the financial world. For special occasions, such as an elite ball, the financial giants would set aside their bickering and rub shoulders in the hope to meet new wealthy clients and gloat over their enemies.
As Edward moved through the ballroom he spotted client after client and one or two enemies that snickered at him from afar. He hated every second of the ball and wasn’t entirely sure why he continued to hold the party every year but maintained his facade of enjoyment. Some gambling tables lined the hallways and happy partygoers could be heard cheering and laughing as cards were laid out and dice thrown. Couples dressed in their finest outfits twirled on the dance floor as the jazz band serenaded the crowd with smooth tunes and a little funky two steps. Occasionally, Edward’s brothers Blake and Jordan would attend the ball but he had not spotted either of them and since his dispute with Jordan had not been resolved, it was unlikely that they would appear. Edward had noticed Barrack over by the bar but had avoided making eye contact with him as he didn’t want another lecture about Jordan’s wedding.
He thought about slipping into one of the back rooms to have a rest bite from the party and just as he turned the corner he caught a glimpse of a dazzling white dress that grabbed his attention. Through the crowds of people still pouring into the room, Edward tried to focus his eyes on the shimmering pure white dress that seemed to be making its way toward him. He tried to look up at the woman wearing it but her face was blocked by the other guests. The love-heart bodice was completely bejeweled in silver and pearl studs that caught the light at every angle and made it sparkle. It fishtailed out at the hips where snow white silk cascaded down to the floor allowing for a small train behind it. It hugged the hourglass body inside perfectly and Edward couldn’t move his eyes away from the mysterious figure.
Then, just as he was about to step forward and fight through the crowd to find the lady, some guests parted and the woman’s face was revealed to be non-other than Miss Alexia Fabrice. Edward stopped dead in his tracks, recalling their meeting in his office and for a moment, he just stared as she continued to move toward him. Her long brown hair was curled and hung loosely of her shoulders lightly swinging as she approached him. Edward kept his eyes on her blood red lips that were the only obvious color in sight.
“Mr. Ramsey.” She stopped only a few feet in front of him and gave him a cheeky smile.
Edward was still a little captivated by her beauty and found it hard to remove his thoughts from her alluring body. “Miss Fabrice. I did not realize I sent you an invitation to my ball?”
“Oh, you didn’t. But as I told you, we move in the same circles. I’ve come as a friend’s plus one.” Alexia was completely un-phased by his question and didn’t appear to be offended in the least.
“Well, you certainly came dressed for the occasion. That is quite a dress you’re wearing.” Edward lowered his eyes and took in another good look at her remarkable figure.
“Thank you.” Alexia narrowed her eyes and moved closer toward Edward. “You always look so sharp in your suits, Edward.” Without any fear, Alexia ran her hand down the edge of his collar drawing Edward closer into her presence. “I don’t think I’ve ever met a man as well dressed as you.”
Edward couldn’t help but let himself enjoy the flirtation and as he inhaled in a deep sniff of her rosy perfume, he caught a naughty glimpse of her heaving chest. “Well, I do try to always look professional. Is your friend not with you?” In a moment of clarity, Edward suddenly remembered that Alexia had attended the bal
l with a friend and he didn’t want to step on any toes by furthering the flirtation. The last thing he wanted was to be part of a disturbance at his own party.
“I’m sure he is off talking stocks and bonds with some boring banker somewhere. I don’t think he knows how to switch off from work.” Alexia focused her eyes on Edward and pressed her chest up against him. “Please tell me you’re not like that? I hope you know how to let your hair down and have a good time.”
The sexual tension between them was tangible and as she continued to press herself up against him, Edward slid his hand around her waist and felt the smooth curve of her back. “We all need to take a break once in a while. Not everything is about stocks and bonds.” Edward was trying to be as smooth as possible although, in reality, the majority of his thoughts did revolve around the financial market.
“I knew you were different.” Alexia turned slightly so that her hand couldn’t be seen by the people dancing beside them and she lightly brushed it against Edward’s trousers. “I’m thinking we should take a break right now. Is there somewhere more private we can go where we can… unwind?”
Edward felt her hand move over him and his body instantly reacted positively to her proposition. He had to move quickly so that they wouldn’t be noticed leaving but also because he could feel the blood rushing within him. “Follow me.”
He slid his hand into Alexia’s and quickly turned and headed toward the empty staircase which led up to the bedrooms but instead of taking the stairs he pushed a side wall which popped open without a noise. The secret entrance was just off to the side of the staircase and was mostly hidden by a heavy drape that decorated one of the adjoining walls. They both slipped into the darkness without a single guest noticing that they had vanished with Edward closing the partition wall behind him.
They stepped into a huge hidden library that was deathly silent compared to the ballroom on the other side of the wall. Every wall was covered with bookshelves that contained volumes of historical novels and biographies. A large chestnut desk sat in the center of the room and several plush red leather seats were dotted around the corners. Alexia headed straight to the desk and perched on its edge purposefully crossing her legs to offer her uncovered leg to Edward’s admiration.
“Wow, I didn’t realize that you were Batman, Mr. Ramsey.” She snickered as he slowly approached her. “Which book do I pull to get into your secret layer?”
Edward liked that she was being playful with him and he especially enjoyed the reference to Batman as he did have the money and the youth to pull it off. “I couldn’t possibly tell you that, Miss Fabrice, Robin would kill me.”
She threw her head back and laughed as Edward stepped up to her and gently placed his hands on her legs. “You can call me Alexia. Shall I call you Bruce?” She licked her lips as she looked at him with an inviting smile.
Edward could feel the energy coursing through him and although he enjoyed the bravado that they were sharing he wanted to get straight into fucking. He moved his fingers up her thighs and felt her smooth tanned skin. “You can call me whatever you like as long as I can see you out of this dress.”
Alexia leaned back and slightly pushed Edward away as she looked him straight in the face. “Oh, you are bold, I’ll give you that. And if I take my dress off, what do I get in return?”
Edward moved one of his hands to Alexia’s arm and started to run his fingers gently over her shoulder. “How about you take it off and find out.” He pressed his warm lips to her neck and started to kiss around her collar bone as she leaned further back onto the desk.
“I thought you a better businessman than that, Edward.” Alexia could feel Edward’s free hand moving up the inside of her thigh and although she was excited by the moment, she couldn’t let him touch her in her intimate place without making the deal. She quickly put her hand over the top of his and moved him off her neck.
“I will take this dress off and you can see me in all my glory if you agree to help me with my investment.” She gave him a hard stare hoping that the passion of the moment would make him agree.
“I thought we weren’t talking business?” Edward was still trying to be playful but didn’t appreciate the momentary pause as he was finally getting somewhere.
“We both know that people like us are always talking business. Tit for tat, after all.” Her eyes sparkled and as Edward stood back and thought about what she was saying, Alexia moved further back on the table and slightly opened her legs wider. “You give me some valuable information that promises a return on my investment and I will give you whatever you want.”
“I can’t promise you a return. That’s not how it works.” Edward admired how bold she was but at the end of the day, he couldn’t guarantee anyone that they would make a return or even get 100% of their money back.
“Sure you can. A guy like you will have information about what’s happening in other companies and know exactly when to strike to make a fast buck. All I’m asking is that you let me in on the information and I will act accordingly – no one will be any the wiser.” Alexia kicked her white high heels off and moved the fabric of her dress to reveal both of her bare legs.
Edward could see her white knickers peeping out between her thighs and he could imagine peeling them off her as he dropped to his knees to kiss her wet vagina. He wanted her. He wanted her so bad he was seriously tempted to agree to anything and risk his reputation for a fling with the sexiest woman he had ever met.
Of course, Edward did have inside information that helped him to make strategic decisions but he only shared his knowledge when it was advantageous for him and with trusted partners. Miss Fabrice was enticing but she was a huge unknown for him and no matter if she was trustworthy, Edward had no way of validating it.
“I’m sorry, Alexia, but that’s not how I operate. If I could help you like that, I would but I’m sure we can come up with some other arrangement?” Edward reached out his hand to place it on Alexia’s bare leg but she quickly closed her legs and covered them back up.
“A deal’s a deal, Mr. Ramsey.” She pushed herself back up and off the table. “If you can’t help me then I’m afraid I can’t help you.” She slipped her feet back into her white stilettos that lay empty next to her and Edward just stood there staring in disappointment.
One minute there had been unbearable sexual tension between them - he had just touched the soft skin of her inner thigh - and now he was being rejected for not being able to offer financial advice. For a second, Edward got mad and felt the rage rise within him. He had been played for information and now he wasn’t going to get any pussy.
“Hang on a minute.” Edward grabbed Alexia’s wrist as she tried to step away from him. “You wanted this just as much as I did. Don’t act all self-righteous and walk away now.”
Alexia pulled her arm away and turned to look at Edward straight in the face. “You want to fuck?”
“Yeah, I want to fuck. That’s why we came here in the first place!” Edward still held Alexia’s hand firmly wondering how he will be able to turn the whole situation to his advantage.
“We can fuck – just tell me something no one else knows. Something I can use.” Alexia held her gaze and didn’t flinch as Edward looked back in amazement.
He had never met a woman as blunt or as bold as Alexia and although she had annoyed him enormously he still wanted to rip her clothes off and fuck like wild animals.
“You’re fucking unbelievable. I have nothing to tell you.”
“Then I have nothing for you.” Alexia turned and headed straight out the secret entrance without looking back once. Edward remained alone inside the library wondering what the hell had happened. No one had ever been that blatant about wanting information before and he was surprised that a woman as confident and attractive as Alexia, would be willing to offer herself up as collateral for the purchase price.
For a moment, Edward thought about chasing after and sharing something with her just so
that he could kiss her smooth skin again and feel her round breasts that he longed to cup in his hands but it was no good. He knew better. He knew that mistakes like that lead to the downfall of champions and he wasn’t about to risk everything for a sexy piece of ass. He wasn’t that type.

The following morning, Edward awoke blurry-eyed and a little worse for wear after he had tried to drink his frustrations away at the ball. Somehow he had made it to his bed but he was still dressed in his shirt and tuxedo pants from the night before. As the bright morning light poured into his room and made him flinch, he heard a loud pounding coming from somewhere in the house. He lay still for a few minutes thinking that maybe he had imagined the noise or that perhaps it was still the cleaners tidying up from the party when a knock on his door startled him back into consciousness.
“Mr. Ramsey?” His butler tapped on the door fully aware that he was never meant to go anywhere near Edward’s private space. “Mr. Ramsey?” Again he knocked a little louder with obvious concern in his voice.
In the past five years that Johnson had been Edward’s butler he had not once come to Edward’s bedroom and although Edward was slightly intrigued by the sudden change in procedure, he was in no shape to handle silly questions about the party clean-up. Johnson turned the handle and pushed the door open enough that he could sneak in and still make a quick exit if Edward was indisposed or angry.
