Ava threw her arms around his neck and kissed him. Kissed him with a fiery passion that both calmed his fears and boiled his blood. She had the unique talent to do that to him, but then, it was only one of the many reasons he was so damn in love with her.
“Then let’s do this.” He winked with a laugh, nodding toward the tiny wedding chapel beyond the fountain.
“What? Here?” She blinked. “Now? Are you serious?”
His heart clutched and he sobered, staring down at her intently. “Unless you’re having second thoughts or reservations… Are you?”
Please don’t let her say yes. He sent up a silent prayer as he tensed and waited for her reply.
“Are you kidding? No. Not a one,” she laughed. Sniffing, she blotted the tears from beneath her lashes.
With an inward fist pump, Quinn bit back a cheer. Cupping her face, he drank in the happiness sparkling in her eyes, lighting up her smile, and glowing on her cheeks. Pressing his lips to hers, he kissed her…kissed her with the promise to keep her on her submissive toes while guiding and protecting her, but most of all with a vow to love her unconditionally until the end of time.
“Oh, my… I can’t believe this is happening,” she giggled.
“Believe it, my love. I’ve been waiting for this moment longer than you can imagine.”
She cocked her head and gaped at him. “How long have you waited?” she quizzed.
“Since the first time I saw you at Club Genesis,” he confessed.
Ava’s eyes grew wide and her mouth dropped open. “You’re teasing, right?”
“Nope.” He laughed, then wrapped his arm around her waist.
“Quinn MacKinnon, you are full of surprises,” Ava mockingly scolded.
“Oh, princess…you have no idea the surprises I have in store for you tonight.”
He wrapped his arm around her waist as his chest expanded with pride. Stepping onto the red carpet that led to the quaint chapel, Quinn couldn’t wipe the smile from his lips.
“Okay, but if you plan to claim me in the lobby or anything like that, I’m going to have to call my safeword,” she whispered as they stepped inside.
“No, princess. From now on, you’re for my eyes only.”
