Summer of '16: Dinero's Dilemma Page 11

by Charae Lewis

“Hey, Asia. What's up? If you're looking for Dinero, that punk hasn’t been here all week,” Terri informed her.

  “Has he called?” Asia questioned.

“Yeah, he called on Monday and said that he wasn’t going to be here,” Meesha replied.

Asia nodded. “Okay. If he comes up here, call me and don’t let him know that you did.”

“Okay, we’ll do that but are y’all good ‘cause you know we’ll put the paws on his ass,” Terri said and started shadow boxing.

Asia chuckled. “We good, y’all. Don’t whoop him.”

“Okay. Well, I need your number so we can call when he comes by.”

Asia put her number in Meesha’s phone and reminded them to call her before leaving. Asia got inside of her car and almost broke down in tears. She shouldn’t have to go on a manhunt to talk to her own husband. Each day that Dinero didn’t come home tore Asia apart emotionally. She was literally suffering without him. Asia yearned to hear Dinero’s voice and to ensure her that they would be okay. Asia didn’t know how long she would be able to deal with his immature antics. There was only so much that she could take. Asia started up her engine and made her way home so she could sulk in the comforts of her own room.

Dinero inhaled the contents of the blunt while watching basketball. He was posted at a home no one knew about in Wauwatosa. He needed to clear his head, and that was the first place that came to his mind. Dinero knew he was wrong for disappearing on Asia, but he couldn’t get over the thought of her possibly being with Sheek. When Sheek revealed that he’d been with Asia already, it infuriated Dinero. The thought of him seeing Asia’s tattoo almost made Dinero sick. He wanted to kill Sheek at that very moment, but he knew he couldn’t commit murder in front of a group of people. He wanted to trust Asia, but every time he thought of the picture of Sheek rubbing her thigh or him mentioning her tattoo, he wanted to strangle her. Dinero felt like he couldn’t trust Asia anymore and if he couldn’t trust her, then he didn’t want to be with her.

On top of the Sheek’s revelation, Dinero was also embarrassed. His ego was severely bruised. He felt like the joke was on him with people knowing that Asia and Sheek had been together. Dinero knew that it was a possibility that Sheek could be lying, but he also couldn’t get over Asia lying to him about him flirting with her in L.A. Since he didn’t want to be bothered, Dinero powered off his primary cell phone and used his backup phone. No one had that number except for Keith. Whenever Dinero was going through something emotionally, he would always shut down and disappear for days, sometimes even weeks.

“So how long do you plan to stay here?” Cadence asked pulling Dinero from his thoughts.

He looked at her and released a sigh. He had called her over earlier that day because he wanted some company. He hadn't informed her of the problems that he and Asia were going through, but she did know that he hadn't been home for the last week.

  “I don’t know,” he shrugged.

“You don’t want to tell me what happened?”

“No,” Dinero said and then looked at her lustfully. “Why don’t you come take my mind off of this bullshit I'm going through?”

Dinero was finally tired of fighting temptation. If Asia could go around fucking other men, then he had no problem filling Cadence up with his dick.

Cadence bit her bottom lip and then got on her knees. “You're not going to spazz out on me are you?” she questioned with a side eye and unzipped his pants.

“Hell nah. Do what you do.”

That was all Cadence needed to hear before she wrapped her lips around Dinero’s penis. She slurped and bobbed up and down on his shaft causing Dinero to release a throaty moan. Cadence was sucking Dinero off like she was licking a popsicle on a scorching hot day. He grabbed her hair and guided her deeper on his dick.

“Damn, Cadence you trying to prove some shit ain't you?” he groaned feeling like he would scream out like a little bitch.

“This is what I've been trying to give you, daddy,” Cadence replied and then licked the head.

Cadence continued to assault Dinero’s dick with her lethal head game until he erupted in her mouth. Cadence made sure to show him his nut on her tongue before she swallowed.

“You nasty as fuck,” Dinero laughed as he came down from his orgasmic high.

“Only for you. Is that all you wanted?” she stood up and placed her hands on her hips.

Dinero eyed her pussy print and decided at that moment that he needed to fuck her. “Bend your ass over.”

  Chapter Fourteen

Asia sat at work feeling like her back was being shredded apart. She had been experiencing terrible cramps and back spasms all night. She wasn’t sure what was going on with her body, but she was determined to find out. Three days had passed, and Dinero was still MIA. Asia had called his phone so much that she’d memorized his voicemail greeting. She was so disgusted by Dinero’s behavior that she made a promise that when she saw him, she would try to knock the shit out of him. Leaving him was weighing heavily on Asia’s mind. She didn’t want to be with someone who was too immature to work out their problems and would rather run away for weeks at a time. Asia had never in her life been disrespected by a man and wasn’t going to take Dinero’s shit.

When it came time to clock out, Asia slowly stood from her seat. One of her co-workers, Trish, looked over at Asia as she struggled to bend down and get her purse.

“Here let me get that for you,” Trish said and picked up her purse for her.

“Thank you, girl. I think I'm about to go to the hospital. I'm in too much pain,” Asia complained.

“You sure you’re going to be okay to drive?”

Asia winced and then nodded her head. “Yeah, the hospital is right down the street.”

“Okay. Well, text me in case you need me.”

  “Okay, I will.”

Asia slowly made her way to her car and got in. She had to take a deep breath before she started the car because the pain was increasing by the minute. Asia cranked up the engine and drove down the street to the hospital. She parked and shut off the car. When she got out, she noticed that the private area of her pants was soaked in blood.

“What the fuck is this?” she whispered to herself alarmed by the amount of blood on her pants.

Consumed with panic, Asia rushed inside of the hospital. When the nurse noticed the blood seeping through her pants, she hurried and took Asia back right away. Asia was petrified as the nurse laid her on the hospital bed. She’d never had any health concerns until now. Suddenly, the doctor and nurse rushed in and began to ask her a series of questions.

“Is there any chance of pregnancy?” the nurse asked as she cut Asia’s pants off.

“No, I'm on the pill,” Asia replied as her heart rate increased.

“When did you last take it?” The doctor asked.

“I don’t know? Like maybe a couple days ago.”

The doctor then looked at the nurse. “Let’s order an ultrasound right away.”

Asia laid there trying to fight her tears. Instead, she decided to pray and hope for the best. She didn’t know why she was bleeding so much, but she prayed that it wasn’t anything life-threatening.

After tons of blood work and more tests, it was confirmed that Asia had suffered a miscarriage. When the doctor notified her of her diagnosis, she cried her eyes out. She was saddened that a life had been growing inside of her but was taken away within a split second. Asia’s heart was literally breaking with each tear that fell from her eyes. Moments like this made Asia miss her mother even more. She needed the comfort that only a mother could give. Losing her baby was a huge pill that Asia didn’t think she could ever swallow. She went back and forth inside of her mind trying to determine how she’d miscarried. Asia was under an extreme amount of stress and figured that it may have been a factor.

The most disappointing aspect of her current situation was that her husband wasn’t there for h
er in her time of need. Asia needed Dinero to comfort her and assure her that she would recover from this devastating loss. She needed him to tell her that it wasn’t her fault. Asia just wanted to feel his strong arms hold her and allow her to cry on his shoulder. But each moment that passed, and he wasn’t present hurt her to her core.

A knock at the door pulled Asia from her crying spell. She looked up and saw Aimee and Rochelle walking in. She’d only called those two since she needed someone there for her. Aimee rushed over and gave her a hug. Asia couldn’t help but break down again in her sister’s arms. Usually, she was the strong one out of the two, but there was no need for her not to be vulnerable. Rochelle walked over and gently rubbed Asia’s back.

“Don’t cry, sis. It’s going to be okay,” Aimee cried.

Asia shook her head and wiped her eyes. She was so emotionally distraught that she couldn’t even speak.

“You know that I'm here for you, baby. I know it doesn’t seem like it right now, but you will get through this,” Rochelle told her.

Asia looked into her eyes and nodded. Somehow, Rochelle’s presence had provided a little bit of comfort.

“What did the doctor say?” Aimee asked.

“I was seven weeks. He thinks that I got pregnant when I switched from the shot to the pill. My hormone levels are dropping, so he suggested letting the miscarriage happen naturally instead of performing a D&C.”

“Have you tried calling Dinero again?” Aimee asked.

Asia shook her head somberly. “I'm done trying to reach out to him.”

“I don’t blame you, Asia. Listen, I know that he’s my son, but he’s not right. And I don’t condone his shit either,” Rochelle snapped.

“Can you guys do me a favor?” Asia asked between sniffles. “I'm not ready to let everyone in on the miscarriage so can you keep this between us?”

“Yeah, I won’t tell anybody,” Aimee promised.

“I’ll make sure to keep my mouth closed. I know this is hard for you,” Rochelle replied and wiped Asia’s tears.

“So do you have to stay overnight?” Aimee asked.

“No, I'm being discharged in a while.”

“Well, I want to invite you to come stay with me. I promise nobody will bother you,” Rochelle assured.

“No, I don’t want to intrude on you and your husband,” Asia protested.

“You're not intruding. Besides, my husband is going back to New Orleans for some days. So it’ll be just us two, and you don’t need to be by yourself.”

Asia thought about Rochelle’s request and agreed to it. She didn’t want to be alone plus she felt safe with Rochelle. There was something about her energy that drew Asia into her.

  “Okay. I’ll stay.”

“That was some hoe ass shit you did at my party fam,” Fabian scolded Sheek as he sat in the chair in front of his desk.

Sheek felt stupid as he sat in front of Fabian and Braylon. The looks that were displayed on their faces caused him to feel like a bitch. The minute the lies escaped Sheek’s lips about him and Asia, he instantly began to regret them. All night he had to sit in agony and watch Asia affectionately touch and flirt with Dinero. Sheek had become jealous and couldn’t help himself from wanting to interrupt their smooching session. He knew he had no reason to be envious when Asia didn’t belong to him. He couldn’t stand the way that Dinero looked at her. So when Dinero called him out, Sheek quickly concocted a plan to make it seem as though he and Asia were intimate.

Sheek just so happened to upload the pictures of him and Asia on his Instagram in hopes of showing her how the pictures had turned out. But they ended up being used for something totally different, and at the time, he was happy that they served a different purpose. Now that he had sobered up, Sheek realized that he was dead wrong for lying on Asia. He had been so consumed with the green-eyed monster that he didn’t use his better judgment. Sheek didn’t think about the effect that his lies would have on Asia or her marriage until Dinero’s fist connected with his jaw. Sheek wanted so desperately to reach out to Asia and offer her an apology, but he knew it would fall on deaf ears.

“I know I fucked up. I was drunk, and I shouldn’t have done that,” Sheek said apologetically.

“Hell yeah, you fucked up. I don’t know what the fuck you were on, but that shit was uncalled for,” Braylon snapped.

“I know. I promise I'm going to call her and apologize.”

“What the fuck do you think an apology is going to do? You probably fucked up that girl’s marriage. Do you not understand that Dinero thinks that y’all two fucked?” Fabian hissed.

Sheek released a deep sigh. He wasn’t used to Fabian and Braylon coming down on him like this, but he knew he deserved it. This was his screw up, and he had nobody to blame but himself.

“I'm trying to make this shit right. I figured an apology should come first,” Sheek explained.

“Yeah, that’s not going to work. We’re gonna have to let you go Sheek. We can’t have someone who’s representing our company doing weak shit like you did,” Fabian informed him.

Sheek’s jaws clenched as Fabian fired him. He had given that company that last two years of his life only for it to end this way. Sheek didn’t think his act was so bad that he needed to be terminated.

“Damn, it’s like that?! I fuck up one time and y’all niggas fire me like I ain't shit!” Sheek barked getting heated with every word.

“You brought this on yourself. We can’t be associated with niggas like you. Plus, Dinero is our bro. You lucky he didn’t body your ass at that party,” Braylon responded, matching his attitude.

“This is bullshit!” Sheek yelled and stood up. “So you're going to pick him over me? I've made millions for this company and y’all just gon’ throw me away like I didn’t contribute to the success of this business?!”

“Right now, none of that shit matters. You let your real character show, and we can’t fuck with you. What part you don’t understand?” Fabian bellowed while walking over to Sheek.

“Y’all not about to just fire me like this. I’ll sue the fuck outta this company,” Sheek warned.

“So, mothafucka! Do you want me to call your lawyer for you? You're not scaring me by those weak ass threats. Do what the fuck you gotta do! I promise you that I ain't worried about shit!” Fabian quipped.

Sheek swallowed hard as he stood face to face with Fabian. After a minute of angry glares, Sheek backed away. He was appalled in the manner that Fabian and Braylon had dismissed him. Yes, he’d fucked up, but Sheek didn’t think it was to the extent where he would lose his job.

Sheek nodded and then walked out of the room. He was determined to get payback somehow. He couldn’t sit around and allow them to shit on him the way that they had. Sheek knew too much information on Fabian and Braylon to play him like some sucka.

Yeah, y’all gon’ see me again…

  ****

Dinero and Keith rode around picking up money from Keith’s trap houses. The weather was perfect, and the sun was shining brightly. Dinero had been living life like a true bachelor without a care in the world. He still hadn't talked to Asia, and he didn’t care to. The more time he spent away from Asia convinced Dinero that she had fucked Sheek. He just couldn’t forgive her for that, so he declared that he was done with her. Although Dinero had promised himself that he didn’t want to be with Asia anymore, he just couldn’t bring himself to file for divorce. Something within him stopped him from going to a lawyer to draw up the papers. Dinero figured he would let Asia go file if need be, but he wasn’t going to do it.

“You still ain't heard from wifey?” Keith asked passing Dinero the blunt.

Dinero took a pull from the blunt and inhaled slowly. “Nah.”

“So you think she fucked ol’ boy?”

“Yeah I do. There's no way he should know about her tattoo.”

Keith shook his head. “Well, did you ever talk to her? I think you should let her explain before you dump he
r.”

“I really don’t wanna hear shit she gotta say. Fuck Asia,” Dinero spat not really believing his words.

“Come on, fam; you don’t mean that. I think you should at least hear her out. You owe her that much,” Keith suggested.

Dinero sucked his teeth. “I don’t owe her shit! You was just team Cadence now your ass is team, Asia. Get your two face ass out of here.”

Keith laughed. “Fuck you! I ain't team shit. Fuck Cadence sneaky ass. I only told you to get the pussy from her. But Asia is your wife, so I feel like y’all gotta make this work somehow.”

“So you would forgive your wife for cheating on you?” Dinero questioned.

  “Nah, I wouldn’t,” Keith laughed.

“My point exactly. You sound stupid as fuck,” Dinero waved his hand dismissively.

Dinero’s phone alerted him that he’d received a text. He saw that it was Cadence.

  Cadence: I miss you.

Dinero smirked and texted her back.

Dinero: Just make sure you show me how much tonight.

Cadence and Dinero had been hanging out a lot lately. While Cadence was happy to be in Dinero’s presence, he on the other hand just wanted sex. Plus, Cadence was a nice distraction from his current dilemma with Asia. He was enjoying her company, and she had taken his mind off of Asia but not completely. When Dinero laid alone at night, Asia always made an appearance in his thoughts. He didn’t want to miss her or yearn for her, but he did. He still had his primary phone off so she couldn’t reach him. Dinero knew Asia had probably called a million times but he still didn’t want to deal with her.

“You’ve been fucking with Cadence ain't you?” Keith quizzed.

“Yep, and the pussy been lovely too.”

Keith shook his head. “I told your ass to get you a sample, but you was trying to act like Mr. Faithful and shit.”
