“Asia, don’t tell me that,” he groaned. “You for real?”
Asia nodded without giving him eye contact. She knew if she looked into his eyes that she would, without a doubt, change her mind.
“Why?” Dinero uttered as he rested his forehead against Asia’s and closed his eyes. The pain that he was experiencing was unbearable. He knew his heart would never love the same after today.
“So you want me to let you go?” Dinero questioned just above a whisper.
Asia didn’t answer him, but her silence spoke volumes.
He slowly pulled out of her and stood. He pulled up his pants, walked over to his desk and took a seat. Dinero watched intently as Asia pulled down her sundress. She stood and gave him one last painful look before walking out of his office. As soon as he heard the door close, Dinero swiped everything off his desk. He then hurried out of his office and walked outside to catch Asia. She was getting into her car as he yanked her back.
“So you're ready to divorce me just like that?” he grimaced.
“You did this shit! Not me!” she screamed with tears in her eyes.
“So what? Can you give me a chance to make shit right? You can’t just give up on us like that.”
“Dinero, get the fuck outta my face with that shit. Go back to your old bitch, Cadence. That’s who you’ve been spending your time with anyway.”
“Man fuck her! Stop bringing that bitch up!” he bellowed and then swung his fist into her car window.
Glass shattered everywhere, creating an ear piercing sound. Asia was not prepared to see Dinero transform into what looked like a lunatic. He continued to punch all of the glass out until there was nothing left. Asia looked at the damage that was done to her car and then suddenly rushed him.
“You bitch! I'm going to kill you!”
She wildly punched him trying her best to hurt him. When her fists weren’t landing, Asia decided to pull his dreads. Dinero hated when his hair was being pulled, so he roughly grabbed her and threw her to the ground.
“Let my hair go Asia!” Dinero ordered.
“Hell nah! I'm about to pull your fucking brains through your scalp bitch!”
“Hey, hey, y’all stop that fighting,” an older man said as he pulled Dinero off Asia.
Another person grabbed Asia, who was still trying to get to Dinero. Her face was beet red as she screamed and cursed at him.
“What are you doing putting your hands on this woman?” the older man asked Dinero.
Dinero twisted his face. “Man get your old ass outta my business before I whoop your ass next.”
“’Cause he’s a bitch ass nigga! You gon’ pay for my fucking window Dinero!” Asia yelled and then threw her shoe at him.
“I ain't paying for shit! Now all of y’all get your asses off my property!”
Dinero walked back inside of the car wash and locked the door. He could still hear Asia yelling and acting a fool. He didn’t mean to bust her window, but he was consumed with so much anger that he couldn’t control himself. Seeing her adamant about not being with him anymore caused him to become enraged. Dinero put his head down on the desk and silently cried his eyes out. He couldn’t remember the last time that he’d shed a tear.
Dinero felt rejected, and the feeling was excruciating. He’d tried relentlessly to get Asia to forgive him to no avail. He had done too much damage to her, and that fact alone caused his heart to be filled with so much regret. Asia not wanting to work on their marriage hurt Dinero to the core. She was all that he ever wanted but couldn’t have anymore.
After allowing his liquid pain to flow for what seemed like hours, Dinero wiped his face and grabbed his keys. He walked out of his car wash feeling heavier than before. He had no choice but to pick up the pieces and move on even though he knew it would hurt.
The end or is it?
