He exhaled a cloud of smoke as I kissed lower and lower. By the time I made my way all the way down, he had already grown. I brushed the smooth side with my cheek. A groan escape from his body as I took the tip into my mouth and swirled my tongue around the massive mushroom head. As I sucked, he sat back, propped up by his elbows.

“That feels so good,” he whispered.

I continued my work, licking and kissing every inch of his manhood while he stared down at me. The thought of him watching while I gave him pleasure turned me on. While sucking, increasing my speed, I slipped a hand into my pants.

Already wet, I rubbed myself as I gave him head.

“Oh, baby, stop,” he said, scooting back a little.

I looked up at him and licked my lips. “What’s wrong?”

  “I’m going to come.”

“That’s good,” I exclaimed then took him back into my mouth.

His breathing quickened as I brought him to the very edge of orgasm. He throbbed inside my mouth. I accepted all of his warm, sticky seed. When he finally finished spurting, I looked up at him again, some of it escaping the corner of my mouth.

“Come here,” he said, reaching down and pulling me up.

I crawled on top of his prone body. He wrapped his arms around me. We kissed, his juices going from my mouth to his.

“Mmm,” I said. “You like that?”

  “Fucking amazing,” he said.

“Good,” I said, smiling. “I’ll be right back.”

I went into the bathroom to rinse out my mouth and brush my teeth. He came in a minute later and hugged me. After cleaning up, we curled up in bed together. His hard, toned body next to mine gave me the best sleep.

  FIFTEEN

  Tanesha

I quit my job at Pizza Pizza and began making glass pipes full time. In the first month, I managed to deliver the first order for a hundred. In exchange, I received the rest of the five thousand dollars. Even better, I’d gotten two more orders for a few hundred more. I would have to work even harder, but I loved working for myself.

“We’re here,” Tony said, parking his car outside the casino. “Finally a night to ourselves.”

“See, you’re getting tired of the kids, aren’t you?”

“I love them, but I have more respect for single mothers now.”

I laughed. “Right? Monsters, I tell you.”

  “Adorable monsters, but yeah.”

We got out of the car and headed toward the front entrance. To celebrate my first big paycheck as a glass blower, we had decided to rent a room at the casino for a night. At first I’d been hesitant, but since Tony moved in with us, I hadn’t gambled at all.

You got this, I told myself as we walked.

Before we reached the entrance, a police car sped up with lights and sirens both going. A beefy security guard from inside the casino came out holding a young man with baggy jeans and a black tee-shirt.

  “What’s going on?” I asked.

“I don’t know for sure, but that’s Slim Todd. He slings a lot of dope. All kinds of drugs.”

We watched as the police handcuffed him and threw him into the back of their cruiser. I looked in the back window of the car as we passed.

“Aren’t you glad you’re not in that game anymore,” I whispered to him once we were inside.

“I’m glad you’re in my life,” he said, putting an arm around my waist.

At the receptionist desk, we paid for our room upstairs and got the key. On the way to the elevator, the lights and sounds from the penny-slots area of the first floor called to me. I squeezed Tony’s hand, trying to resist the temptation to gamble.

“You want to play some slots or something?” he asked, still not knowing about my problems in the past.

“No, I’m okay,” I lied with a smile.

  ♥ ♥ ♥

After dinner downstairs, wonderful steaks with all the trimmings, we went back upstairs to our room.

  “I’m stuffed,” he said.

“Not too full for desert, I hope.”

He smiled and walked over to me. I put my arms around his waist.

“I’m never too full for that,” he said.

I laughed, so full of joy.

We rushed upstairs like we were teenagers again.

After the door closed, I wrapped my arms around him.

“I still can’t believe my life is changing for the better.”

“Mine too. The world is ours.”

I kissed him passionately on the lips. He slipped his tongue in my mouth as I grabbed his ass cheeks with my hands and squeezed.

  “Frisky,” he said, laughing.

  “You’ve not seen anything yet.”

We ripped our clothes off each other before moving to the bed.

I crawled on the mattress and lifted my ass in the air.

He positioned himself behind me and grabbed my left cheek before slapping it.

“Yeah,” I said. “I’ve been a bad girl.”

Another slap. Stinging flesh. I felt his cock rub up and down the length of my pussy.

I pushed back my hips. He pressed the tip in. Delicious contact.

With one quick thrust, he pushed into me, pressing my breasts down against the comforter.

As he began to fuck me earnestly, I reached down and rubbed my clitoris.

He felt so huge in me, moving in and out, friction building up.

Nothing else mattered as our bodies found a natural rhythm.

The rest of the world faded away. Only we existed.

His thrusts continued, increasing in intensity.

“Turn around,” he said. “I want to see that beautiful face of yours.”

I moved forward, feeling him leave my warm, wet pussy.

After I got on my back and spread my legs, he lifted my legs into the air and poked me again.

I giggled, thinking of Facebook, but the laughter soon turned to moans of pleasure.

He leaned down, his rock hard chest pressing against mine as he peered into my eyes.

“Tanesha,” he whispered into my ear, changing up the angle of his thrust.

I wrapped my arms around him, holding him tightly as I slid toward orgasm.

“I’m going to come,” he said urgently.

“Do it, baby,” I urged, very close myself.

His cock throbbed deep inside me as he screamed out.

“Yes, baby,” I said, breathing heavily.

He plunged in and out of me a few more times, bringing me over the edge into the land of ecstasy.

My body shook in pleasure as we stared at each other, suddenly knowing the meaning of life.

As the feelings waned, bringing us back to reality, he pulled out and laid next to me on the bed.

I rolled over and pressed my naked flesh against him, loving the dark and light contrast of us together.

“We would make beautiful babies,” I said without thinking.

“I agree,” he said, surprising me.

“You ready for a family, Tony?”

  “Yes, I am.”

I ran my fingers over his chest and stomach absent-mindedly.

“Things going so well scares me,” I admitted, opening up to him.

“Me too.” He turned his head and kissed me on the lips. “We got this.”

Joy radiated out of every pore of my body. We cleaned up then laid in bed and watched a movie together until he fell asleep.

I sat in bed, watching previews for other movies and thinking about all the opportunity downstairs. With the money I had coming in from my glass pipe sales, I could afford to spend an hour or two playing slots. Just a hundred dollars, I told myself. I deserve it.

While Tony slept, I sneaked out of the room and headed downstairs. A thrill ran through me as soon as I stepped onto the paisley carpet downstairs. The sounds of all the machines blended together as I walked into the dimly lit area that housed lines and lines of machines.

Just an hour, I told myself as I sat down on a stool
in front of one. Then I’ll go back up.

  SIXTEEN

  Tanesha

I jumped when I felt a hand on my shoulder. Turning around, I saw Tony staring at me. He didn’t say a word at first.

“Hey, you,” I said, bending and putting an arm around his waist.

“Did you get up early and come down or have you been here all night?” he asked.

“All night? You’re crazy.” I smiled.

“It’s six in the morning, Tanesha. You know my mother’s problem.”

“Settle down, I’m only down a few hundred, and it’s my money.”

“Your money, huh? Remember who took you to the art studio to learn about glass blowing?”

I frowned, guilt bubbling up in me.

“I’m sorry. I meant to tell you I have problems too, but…”

  “Just forget it, Tanesha.”

He walked away. I turned back to the machine, mesmerized by the lights and sounds.

Get up. Go chase him. Do it now!

I ignored myself and finished out the forty dollars in credit I had on the machine. As I mindlessly pressed the big, red button at the highest wager possible, my stomach began to ache. I cashed out the two dollars left and took the white slip of paper.

He’s back in the room. Just go talk to him.

My head pounded as I walked to the elevator to return to our room. Once I got to the second floor, I ran down the hall with the keycard for the room in my hand. I swiped it three times before the lock finally clicked.

  “Tony?” I asked, looking around.

The door swung shut behind me, sounding final.

Where is he? I wondered, wandering over to the bed.

I sat down on the edge with my elbows on my knees and put my head in my hands.

Tears welled up in the corners of my eyes, falling down my cheeks.

You fucked up. You fucked up so bad.

As I put myself down, even more emotions joined the mix, including fear and a bit of anger at the world in general.

I don’t want to be on my own again.

Everything in my life had been going well for once, but I ruined it on my own.

Why am I addicted to gambling?

No answers showed up for the multitude of questions running through my mind.

The door to the room opened. I looked up. Him.

“Are you okay?” he asked, walking over.

I stood and held my arms open. He held me. I rested my head on his chest as my emotions continued to get the best of me.

“I’m sorry,” I said, looking up at him.

  “It’s okay. I overreacted.”

“No, it’s not okay. Let me explain.”

He looked into my eyes. “Go on.”

“It’s like an urge. I don’t know. When I heard the sounds and saw the lights, I couldn’t resist. I’m such a horrible person.”

“No, you’re not. If I knew you had difficulties, I would’ve never brought you here. Why didn’t you say anything?”

“I was afraid you wouldn’t understand or want to be around me, especially with your mother.

He shook his head, frowning. “Silly woman.”

“Stop,” I said. “I’m trying to be honest with you.”

“I appreciate it, Tanesha. I really do,” he said, wriggling free from my grasp. “It’s just a lot to take in. And we have bigger problems right now.”

  “What?”

“Your brother called me. Bullet got arrested and thinks I’m behind it. The whole CWM gang is after me now.”

“Tony,” I said, putting my hand on his arm. “What are we going to do?”

“Kendrick wants us to go into witness protection and testify against him.”

“But what about the children? And your job? And my glass blowing?”

“Settle down,” he said. “We’ll figure it out somehow.”

“Tony, you can’t just keep saying that to me.”

He sighed, pulling away from me. My hand dropped to my side.

  Am I losing him?

“What are we going to do?”

“We should probably listen to your brother. You trust him, right?”

“Of course I do. Why would you ask me that?”

“Something doesn’t add up with him, but I can’t put my finger on it.”

“So we shouldn’t go into protective custody?”

“I think that’s our only option right now.”

He put his arm around my waist. I looked up at him.

“Your brother wants to meet with us tomorrow. He told us to stay here.”

  “What about the children?”

“You’re going to have to call Kendrick and ask him to keep them longer.”

“He’s going to use this against me.”

  “Against us,” he said.

His strong, firm hand positioned itself in the small of my back, making me feel safe – or at least a little bit safer.

I got out my phone and called my ex-husband. He laughed at me, saying he would keep the children as long as he wanted then hung up on me.

Tears burst out of my eyes again. I dropped the phone to the floor. Tony held me tightly.

We got into bed together, looking up at the ceiling side by side. I held his hand in mine, our fingers entwined. Sleep overtook me.

  SEVENTEEN

  Tony

After Tanesha fell asleep next to me, I carefully scooted to the edge and got off the bed. I paced the floor back and forth in front of the window, occasionally looking out the curtain to the parking lot below. If Bullet and his friends made a move, it would be big. He didn’t know where we were, but I had to make certain.

I grabbed my phone then stepped into the bathroom, closing the door behind me. Against my better judgement, I tapped the screen to call Bullet. The phone rang as I sat on the toilet seat, looking at the cold, tile floor. I need to get Tanesha out of this, I thought. She was my number one priority.

“You’re stupid calling me,” Bullet said after answering.

“I don’t know what you’ve heard or where you’re getting your information, but it’s wrong.” I switched the phone to my other hand. “Look, man, I had nothing to do with whatever happened. How did you get out?”

“I have an attorney, dumb ass. I’m coming for you. And it’s not going to be nice.”

“Come after me, then. Leave me mother and everyone else out of it.”

“I’ll get them after I get you. You’ll die knowing they’re next.”

“Fuck you, Bullet,” I said, standing up. “You’re a sick mother-fucker.”

  He cackled with laughter.

“Fuck you!” I screamed into the phone with no one on the other line.

The bathroom door opened. Tanesha looked at me with alarm.

“What’s going on? Who are you yelling at?”

  “I called Bullet.”

  “What? Why?”

“I wanted to see who answered his phone. He’s out of jail. That’s not good.”

“You didn’t tell him where we are, did you?”

  “I’m not an idiot, Tanesha.”

  “I’m sorry, I’m just afraid.”

  “It’s okay. We’ll be okay.”

“You keep saying that, but now I’m not going to get to see my babies.”

“You’ll see them again. I promise.”

She looked into my eyes. “Yeah?”

I nodded, reaching up and brushed the hair out of her eyes with my fingers.

“I do. Let’s get some sleep. We’ll talk to your brother in the morning.”

“That’s what I was trying to do until you started yelling.”

We walked back into the bedroom and get into bed. She pulled the blankets up over us as if they were magical and could protect us from the world at large.

“You should just go somewhere else without me,” I said.

  “No.”

  “It’s safer.”

  “I don’t care.”

  “They only want me.”<

She had her hand on my abs and her cheek against my chest.

“We’re a team now. No matter what. That’s how love really works.”

  “I love you, Tanesha.”

“I know. And I love you.”

I tried to fall back asleep, but it was pointless because of all the thoughts running rampant through my mind. You’ve got to get her out of this mess, I thought to myself. To do that, I would have to trust Andre, her brother. I wasn’t sure if I could do that or not. Something about him rubbed me the wrong way.

  NINETEEN

  Tony

When the security guards realized I was a guest and not a threat, they let me go back to my room. I had to figure out a plan before noon when they would kick me out. While I could get the room for another day, I didn’t have much money left and being on the run by myself, I needed cash.

I grabbed my bag and sat on the edge of the bed, cursing myself for letting Tanesha leave without saying anything or trying to stop her until it was too late. She had a mind of her own and could make decisions for herself, but she was blinded by the love for her brother.

“Or maybe I’m just crazy,” I muttered as I stood up.

After glancing around the room to make sure I hadn’t forgotten anything, I headed downstairs to check-out. Before I could hit the receptionist desk, I spotted Bullet and a few of his goons looking around. I ducked into the all-night business center.

I was surprised they hadn’t come to the casino sooner. Why did I ever bring her here in the first place? I wondered as I turned around. A middle-aged man looked up from a computer. I gave him a look that said don’t say anything, and he went back to whatever it was he had been doing.

Desperate, I took out my phone and called Andre.

  “What’s up?” he asked.

  “Bullet is here.”

  “And?”
