Chapter Nine
Michael discovered the fun to be had while giving Shane a shower. That chair on a lift had him thinking of so many naughty ideas. He kept Shane in giggles while telling him of all the outrageous thoughts flying through his head. The discovery that the chair’s height was adjustable was a pleasant surprise.
Shane ordered Michael to lower the chair and lean it back so that he could give Michael a blow job. The first time Michael felt the heat of Shane’s mouth surrounding his prick, he understood the desire for them.
He was amazed that Shane could take his whole cock, and when he swallowed around him, he saw fireworks exploding. By the time Shane had his balls in hand and was rubbing behind them, he was shouting out as he poured his cum into Shane. He was barely able to stand after the powerful orgasm.
As soon as his legs were solid again, he swung the chair around and raised it up, slapping Shane’s hand away. “Mine,” he growled.
Michael bent over and took Shane to the root in his mouth, sucking and swallowing around the weeping organ. When he started to massage Shane’s dick, it was over. Shane came with a scream.
“Okay,” Shane panted. “When can we have another shower?”
Michael started to laugh. “Soon, hun, maybe later tonight. I like showers, remember?”
“Works for me.” A grinning Shane agreed.
As they were getting dressed, there was a knock at the door. Michael answered it to find his dad standing on the other side.
“Good, you’re getting dressed. Meeting in fifteen minutes in the dining room.”
“Okay, Dad,” Michael responded. “We’ll be there.” Michael closed the door and went to back to help Shane get his pants on. “Hey, Shane,” Michael started to ask, “did you remember to contact Les?”
“Yes, I sent him a text last night right after we talked to Abe.”
“Damn, you are sneaky,” Michael laughingly said. “I totally missed you doing that.”
“What can I say?” Shane winked at Michael. “I’m just that good.”
They left the bedroom laughing, as they made their way to the dining room.
Shane started to get quiet.
“What are you thinking about, hun?” Michael asked him.
“I guess I just want to know who those guys are. What do they want?” A contemplative look ran across Shane’s face. “Why are they after me, or is it someone else in the house?”
Both men were deep in thought as they entered the dining room. Travis was running around, making sure there was enough food on the buffet for everyone. Sandy had a coffeepot in hand, topping up everyone’s cups.
Michael went over and filled two plates for Shane and himself. After he was seated at the table he saw that his mom had left him some juice and coffee. Michael grabbed his fork and scooped a helping up. As he brought it to his mouth, shock held him immobile.
Michael sat there for a moment. He had grabbed food for himself from the buffet—after others had taken some food. His doctor had told him this would happen when he least expected it, but holy shit, he was amazed.
And excited.
Michael opened his mouth to tell Shane, but what suddenly caught his attention was Andy still wrapped like a burrito on Henry’s lap. Henry kept holding up a straw so Andy could suck back on what looked like a protein smoothie. Travis kept hovering, asking if there was anything Andy needed. Andy finally shook his head and pointed at Travis’s chair, mumbling for him to eat.
Abe came around and lifted Travis up in his arms, carried him around the table, and plopped him down in his chair, and then went over a filled a plate for him. Sandy rushed over with a tall glass of milk.
Once everyone was seated, the only sounds to be heard were the clanging of cutlery on plates, the groans of appreciate for well-made food, and compliments to the cook. It seemed the consensus was to not talk about what had happened and wait until everyone had eaten their fill.
Once all the plates had been cleaned and the leftover food put away, everyone sat around the table with refilled coffees.
Abe started the conversation. “Okay, we still don’t know who those guys were, but the police are taking things much more seriously now. Especially since they lit the forest on fire with their little bombs.”
All heads turned in Andy’s direction when he let out a whimper and started to shake.
Henry pulled him close, “What is it?”
“My cousins,” Andy quietly replied, tears in his eyes. “That was the phone call I got. My brother called me to come see him. He found out it was our cousins who are doing this. They hate gays, and believe that we need to all die. My family is trying to kill us.”
As Andy started to cry, Henry pulled him closer. “This has nothing to do with you, babe. This is on them, and your brother is the only family that should matter to you. He loves you enough to warn you about them.”
Abe went over and kneeled next to the chair they were sitting in. “I’m sorry, but I’m going to need you to talk to the police and tell them this.”
Andy nodded his head, sniffling. “Yeah, I figured I was going to have to.”
Abe stood up and left the room. Michael presumed it was to call the police.
Shane rolled himself over to speak to Andy. “Andy, look at me.” Shane gently placed his hand on Andy’s good cheek. “I need you to remember, this is your home, and no one will ever ask you to leave. You have a family here with us and we love you. What they are doing has nothing to do with you, at all. I know, as does everyone here in this house, that you would never do anything to hurt any of us. We will also do whatever we need to make sure that you are safe, that we are all safe.”
Andy looked at Shane, then turned to face the others in the room. “Thank you. I love you, too. I don’t want anyone here hurt. Please believe me. I was hit when I was rushing home to warn you about them. They always picked on me, but because I was such a car guru, and since I kept their cars running perfectly, they left me alone. When they found out I was gay, they came after me. My brother helped me get away. Thankfully, they never knew he was the one helping me. I just don’t know how they found me.”
“That isn’t important,” Abe said, as he strode into the room. “They have and we will make them regret it. The police will be here shortly to get your statement.”
Andy looked to Henry. “Will you stay with me?” Everyone in the room could see the fear in his eyes.
For a huge man, Henry was very gentle with Andy. “You never need to ask me to help and support you. I will be there.”
As Shane wheeled back over to his place at the table, he looked at Abe. “So, what’s the plan?”
Michael was dreading the response, he had a gut feeling it wasn’t going to be as easy as everyone hoped.
“To start.” Abe began, “the police are going to get the information from Andy about the cousins. I’m also going to give the information to Eric. The police have to follow procedures. Eric, not so much. I’m hoping that he can track these guys’ movements somehow, credit cards or bank cards, and see if we can gather the evidence against them. We will have to share the information with the police, but I’m hoping we can stop them before they try anything else.”
Michael wished he had thought of that. It was obvious to him that Abe was very good at his job.
“I’m also going to set up a rotating shift for a watch, with the security cameras manned twenty-four/seven. I want to know if a squirrel farts. No one is getting close to this house if I can prevent it.”
“For now,” Abe continued, “I want everyone to stay inside or close to the house. I don’t know if they know about Sandy and Aaron, but I’m taking no chances. This way, help can arrive quickly if need be.”
As everyone agreed, they slowly started to move out of the dining room.
Shane pulled Michael down to him, softly asking, “Should we talk to your parents now about moving in since we are all stuck inside?”
“Good idea.”
Michael stood up, ca
lling to his parents, “Hey, Dad, can you and Mom meet Shane and I in the living room? We have a question for you.”
“Sure, let me go get her. I think she’s hanging out in the kitchen with Travis.”
Shane stopped him. “Maybe bring Travis with you, as this will concern him, too.”
“Okay.” Aaron frowned as he walked away.
As Shane and Michael made their way to the living room, Shane asked, “Do you think Andy will be okay?”
Michael thought about it, then nodded. “Yeah, I think that Henry will make sure he is.”
“True.” Shane snickered.
As they arrived in the living room, Sandy, Aaron, and Travis came in behind them.
“Michael, could you start this please?” Shane asked.
Michael reached over to lift Shane into his lap, taking special care with his broken leg. Once Shane was settled, he looked to his parents. “Shane and I would like to ask you if you would want to move in here with us?”
Sandy reached for Aaron’s hand. “Are you sure, baby? What about you, Shane? Is this something you really want?”
“It was Shane’s idea, Mom.”
Shane turned to Sandy, looking straight at her. “Yes. You mean so much to Michael, and to me, too. I’m not sure about Travis or Andy, but we do want you here. We wouldn’t have asked if we weren’t sure.”
Travis, who was sitting next to Sandy, reached for her other hand. “I haven’t had parents for a long time. My dad wasn’t much of a dad, but he never hurt me until the moment he found out I was gay. My mom was a good mom, but she believed what the church said about gays. When she found out I was gay, she hated me from that moment on. They both did.” With tears on his face, Travis continued. “You have shown me more love and care than they ever did. Both of you. I would love to have you here in this house with us. Thank you for asking me to be part of your family.”
Michael saw that both his parents’ eyes were shiny, and he knew his were, as well. He looked down and saw the tears on Shane’s face, too.
Aaron let go of Sandy and reached over to clasp both of Travis’s and Sandy’s hands in his. “You have nothing to thank us for, son. You are a very loving and sweet young man. We would both be honored if you called us Mom and Dad. You don’t have to, but if you ever wanted to or needed us, we will be there for you. Just as we would for Michael and Shane.”
Sandy hauled Travis into a hug, both softly crying and talking to each other.
Aaron wrapped his big arms around the two of them, looking at Michael and Shane. “We would love to move in here. This way, while we travel we don’t have to worry about leaving the house empty. We can sell it.”
Sandy nodded. “Yes, I would love to live here with you all.”
The ringing of the doorbell caused Shane and Travis to jump. Michael held Shane tighter, while Sandy did the same with Travis. Aaron stood up to answer it; Abe joined him in the hallway. Hearing the voices, Michael recognized the police detectives who had come to the house before. Aaron led them into the living room, while Abe said he was going to get Henry and Andy.
Sandy and Travis got up and left the room; Michael heard something about coffee and pastries. Michael moved Shane to sit on the couch beside him, and he got some pillows to put under his broken leg. After that, he grabbed a throw and put it over Shane.
While the officers were getting comfortable in the chairs, Henry carried Andy in the room. He sat down on the other couch and made sure Andy was comfortable on his lap.
“We would like to thank you for arriving so promptly last night and today,” Shane started to say. “I know that this hasn’t been easy, or helping to get some decent sleep.”
Snickers could be heard around the room.
“All in a day’s work for a detective,” O’Conner said.
Shane began to explain what had happened last night and this morning, Abe was adding in what the guys knew about the bombs.
O’Conner turned to Andy. “I know this is hard for you, but what can you tell us?”
Andy took a deep breath, seeming to stiffen his spine to tell the story again.
“During dinner last night, my brother called me saying we had to speak immediately. I could tell by the sound of his voice he was upset about something, so I went over to his place right away. He was waiting for me as soon as I got there. He jumped in my car and said to drive us around. He didn’t want anyone to see us together. I was hurt by that as we are normally close.”
As a lone tear ran down Andy’s face, Henry pulled him close and kissed him on the head.
“As we drove around, he started telling me about our three cousins. Apparently, they somehow found out where I live, and were spouting off to the family about the ‘house of queers’ and how they were going to get rid of it. Make the family proud by getting rid of the embarrassing gay in the family. Get the family name back and so on.
“When their sister heard this, she snuck out to call Steve, my brother, to warn me. They had also been bragging to the family about attacking the lame homo in the chair, which sounded a lot like what happened to Shane. Once I dropped Steve back at home, I started to come here, but I was hit by a drunk driver before I could get here.”
“Okay,” Trent said. “I need you to write down their names, as well as where you think they might be.”
“Can Henry write it for me if I tell him? I’m left-handed.”
“Of course.”
Henry stood up with Andy and went to the office to get some paper and pen. They came back a couple of minutes later and gave the officers the information.
While Andy chewing on his bottom lip, he looked to the officers. “Can you please keep my brother out of this? The family doesn’t know that he’s gay, too, and I don’t want them to try and hurt Steve.”
“Andy,” Shane said. “Tell your brother our door is open to him if he ever feels threatened.”
“Thank you, I will.”
Henry took Andy out of the room, heading upstairs to the bedrooms.
Abe stepped back into the room. He sat down on the couch they had been sitting on. “I have been in contact with my boss, Eric. I had him send over a couple of guys to help me, and they are all former Marines from my old unit. I will tell you so you know that we are all armed, but have permits for everything that we are carrying. I refuse to leave this house defenseless. They are also going to be staying here in the house with us until things settle down.”
“On the other hand,” Abe continued, “we will work with the police department in any way we can, but if we have to we will use lethal force. This will only be used as a last option or as the only way to defend ourselves.”
The detectives stood up. They both approached Abe and held out their hands. As they shook, O’Conner replied. “That sounds reasonable to us. We’ve worked with your company in the past, and know that your employer is a stickler for trying to make sure you wound first before taking lethal action. Call us if anything happens. You have our cell numbers.”
Abe showed the detectives out, making sure the door was locked and the alarm armed.
A couple of hours later Abe came running into the living room with Jason following him. Jason was getting dressed in a hurry.
“Guys, the police just called me. They went to the address Andy gave them and found a female in the home severely beaten. She is in critical condition and has been transported to the hospital. Jason is going to go and check up on Andy’s brother. I think we need to bring him here to the house until we catch the cousins.”
“Of course,” Shane said. “Go, make sure you stay safe, and Steve, too.”
Michael turned to Abe. “Maybe go tell Henry and Andy. This way Andy can call Steve to let him know and to pack a bag to bring with him. He can be ready to go as soon as Jason gets there. Can we go to the office and keep an eye on the monitors for you, so you can have all the rest of your men with you?”
“On it, and that would really help a lot. Thank you,” Abe replied as they men went to the front
door. Abe locked the house back up again after Jason left.
Michael moved Shane back into his chair and then followed him as they went to the office. As Shane looked around the room, Michael heard him mumbling to himself, but he couldn’t quite understand what he was saying. “What is it, Shane?”
“Oh, it’s nothing, really,” Shane said. “I’m just thinking that I should leave this as a security room and make a new office in another room. I have a feeling that this won’t be the last time this is used as a security office.”
Michael groaned. “I hope not, but my upset stomach is saying you are probably right.”
While Michael made sure Shane was comfortable, Henry came in and laid Andy down on the couch against the back wall.
“Guys,” Henry asked, “is it okay if Andy lies down in here? Abe needs me, and I don’t want to leave him alone upstairs. He’s worried about his cousin and Steve. She was the one taken to the hospital.”
Shane looked over to Andy. “Andy, you never need to ask to be with us. You are family, and we love you.”
“Thank you,” Andy tearfully replied. “I’m so scared. I’m praying that Amy is okay. They probably found out she was talking to Steve. I hope they don’t know that Steve is gay, too.”
About forty-five minutes later, Abe was heard running to the front door, calling for Vince to help back him up. They watched on the monitors as a car came barrelling up to the house, with Jason and another guy they assumed was Steve. The car looked damaged, as if someone had hit it a couple of times. Michael watched as Abe used a rifle to shoot at the car chasing them, the sound of the shots making them all jump.
“Steve,” Andy cried out. “Oh god, please tell me Steve is okay? I need to get to him.”
Michael ran over to Andy and held him. “Let the guys do their jobs. We would be in the way and could get someone hurt. They will bring Steve in here as soon as it’s safe. Give them a minute, okay?”
Andy clung to Michael, his one hand wrapped tight in Michael’s T-shirt. He was shaking like a leaf in a wind storm.
“Hey,” Shane loudly called. “Looks like Abe’s shots chased them off. They are racing out of here like the hounds of hell are nipping at their heels.”
