Nine Marines' Shared Property: A Reverse Harem Romance (Love by Numbers Book 8) Page 15

“Your wish is my command,” he said.

I put my hand on Axel’s knee and snuggled my head against his shoulder. “I like the sound of that,” I said.

“Strap in, guys,” said Santiago. “This won’t be a bumpy ride, but it will be a fast one.”

He wasn’t kidding. I hadn’t thought of an SUV as being a sports car, but Santiago treated it like one. He took a turn a bit too fast, and I slammed into the door. “Owe.”

“Ou, sorry about that, Gwen,” said Santiago. “We’ll be on the highway in a minute.”

“Before you do that,”—I pulled my legs onto Axel’s lap and turned to him—“Will you switch places with me?”

Axel lifted me onto his lap then he slid over, lifted me and set me down between him and J.P. “Better?” he asked.

I leaned back, one hand on Axel’s knee the other on J.P.’s. “Much.”

We hit the highway, and that’s when Santiago really kicked it up a notch. It was a smooth ride, but I could feel the speed. It was exhilarating. I held onto the legs of my Marines and I did not keep my hands from wandering. They seemed to have minds of their own-and dirty minds, at that. They wandered along the thigh and over the crotch. I could feel that my Marines were happy to be seated next to me.

Seated in front of me, to my left was Manny, his head bowed slightly forward yet still pressed against the roof of the car. I reached over and slapped the back of his neck.

“Hey!” He turned and glared first at J.P. but then saw me smiling. “What was that for?”

I shrugged. “I don’t know. Your neck just looked like it’d be fun to smack.”

  “And was it?”

  I beamed. “Very.”

He twisted his lips into a pensive expression. “You know, if you smack me again, I’ll be forced to retaliate.”

I fluttered my eyebrows. “Is that a promise?”

“It is, yes.” He eyed me suspiciously then turned back around, slowly.

I didn’t smack his neck again. It wouldn’t have been as fun if he was expecting it.

Tristan, sitting directly in front of me, turned to me and said, “Are you comfortable?”

  “Very,” I replied. “Are you?”

He frowned. “It’s a tight fit, still it’s a shame you aren’t closer.”

I slipped off my shoes, squeezed my leg between the two seats and set in on his armrest. “Here, you can be close to my leg.”

He gave my leg a hug like I had just given him a brand new puppy. He kissed my shin, slipped off my sock and kissed the back of my foot. It tickled a bit and I giggled.

Taylor, sitting next to Tristan, turned his head and looked back at me. “And what about me?”

“Sorry Axel,” I said. I put my leg on his lap and set my foot on the armrest next to Taylor. “For you,” I said, “I give you my foot.”

“Perfect!” He slipped off my sock and covered my toes in rapid pecs.

I was crushing J.P. with my back against his arm. He shifted so I was now cradled in his arms, legs spread, my feet being lavished with kisses and caresses.

Santiago pressed down on the accelerator. The car hummed; my body purred.

J.P. planted a kiss on my forehead. “Are you comfortable, dear?”

I shook my head. “My clothes are scratching me. I think they are trying to poison my skin. You must save me from them… dear.” I lifted my arms behind my head, and he slipped the irritating shirt off of me.

Axel removed my pants. He had to lift my legs in the air. I accidentally kicked Manny in the head—or maybe it wasn’t exactly accidental.

“What the hell’s going on back there!?” Santiago said playfully.

J.P. ran his firm hands over my liberated chest. Axel and Tristan and Taylor ran their hands over my liberated legs.

  “It itches,” I said.

  “What itches?” asked J.P.

  “Your clothes,” I said.

Seven Marines—Santiago in the driver’s seat and Nolan in the passenger’s seat were excepted—packed in an SUV, simultaneously stripped off their shirts and their pants. I sat upright in my seat waiting for them to finish; they couldn’t strip fast enough!

  “Hurry,” I said.

“I am hurrying!” said Santiago. And he was. I could feel the speed coursing through my body along with the increased vibrations on the car.

  “Not you, silly,” I said.

Travis was the first to disrobe, as he was sitting in the back with the spare tire and had more space to maneuver. He put his arms around me and kissed my neck. He reached over me, put his hand between my legs.

I quivered at his touch, but it was just a tease. Instead of sliding his hand up to my yearning snatch, he fiddled under the seat for a level then he eased my seat back.

My head now rested against his hard chest.

J.P. pulled my leg to the side and he straddled me, his leg wrapped around mine, his hard cock pressed against my thigh and his mouth wetting my side with rapid greedy kisses.

In synchronized movements, Alex did the same to my other side.

I purred and murmured, “You guys are such a tight-knit squad.”

Their hands were on my legs, Travis’s were on my chest, yet my snatch still yearning was exposed and untouched. I lifted my hips; I bucked, calling for someone to come to me.

Was it Tristan or Taylor? I could not tell. But my snatch welcomed the tip of his tongue. I gushed while the hands of my Marines tightened around me.

“Not much traffic,” said Santiago. “I think I can kick it up a notch.”

We drove faster still. I closed my eyes and listened to the hum of the motor and the sound of the tires spinning on the road. I lifted my hips to meet the mouth that was teasing me. “Give it to me,” I said.

My Marines heeded my command. They did not ask who it was directed at. They knew it was directed at them, at all of them.

They crawled over the seats; they entered me, their hard shafts pounding my wet pussy. They lifted me; they turned me on my side then on my back then on my knees. Their hands kneaded my muscles; their tongues wet my skin. They filled me and fucked me.

“We’re almost there,” said Santiago, and I had to agree. I was almost there, too.

“We’re pulling off the highway in two miles,” he said.

Axel was on top of me. Axel was in me—deep in me.

I wrapped my legs around his waist and grabbed hold of his ass. “I’m going to come,” I said. Come in me.”

He put his mouth around mine. He kissed me with lips and tongue and force and fury while I pulled him deeper into me.

I came, turned my head, now resting on Elijah’s chest, and I let out a cry of pleasure.

Eventually, I was going to have to stop beating myself up for all the mistakes I’d been making. More importantly, I was going to have to stop making so many. My inability to completely open up to Gwen had nearly cost us the relationship and, worse than that, it had gotten Gwen in trouble, attacked and sequestered.

Gwen didn’t even know I had a sister. And yet she could have definitely identified with her. They had much in common. Perhaps, they could even have become good friends. But to me, they represented different worlds, each a different part of my life, and it was I who decided how much access and when and how.

In all the conversations I’d had with Alexa, not once had I suggested they meet. Not once had I asked my sister if I could share her story with Gwen.

I wasn’t the only one to blame; our ground rules were stupid, too. ‘All texts must go through Travis’! As if we didn’t trust each other enough.

I think we’ve proven we can work together as a team.

I think it’s about time we take the emotional training wheels off.

Gwen tried to apologize to me—for ‘jumping to conclusions’ was how she put it—but I wouldn’t hear of it.

I shook my head. “No, Gwen. I’m the one who should be apologizing. I’ve been keeping you at a dista
nce. I’m sorry.”

I kissed her and hugged her and held her.

“Going forward,” I said, “I promise I’ll do a better job being open with you.”

She caressed me on the cheek and shook her head. “It’s not your fault. It was just a misunderstanding—stupid misunderstanding.”

“A misunderstanding I made possible,” I said, “by not sharing with you.”

As we sat in the car waiting for the police to take Michael away, she turned to me and said, “So, is there more I should know?”

I nodded. “Lots.” I took her hand in mine and gave it a squeeze. “But we have time.”

“Do we?” she said. “You're being deployed in a few days.”

“But we’ll be back.” I looked in her eyes. “Right?”

She smiled and squeezed my hand. “Right.”

“For starters,” I said, “I’m having a hard time adjusting to this property angle.”

  “Property angle?”

“You’re our property,” I said, “but I don’t think of you as our property. It just seems strange. Doesn’t feel right. I care about you and respect you. I have feelings for you that aren’t like feelings I have for my property.”

She laughed, softly at first, then quite loudly.

Nolan got into the passenger seat. “What did I miss? What’s so funny?”

Gwen took a moment to collect herself. “Axel has a funny way of being romantic.” She gave my hand another squeeze and turned to me. “I’m sorry. It was sweet what you said. And I understand.”

  I laughed, too.

“I have feelings for you that aren’t like feelings I have for property,” she continued and shook her head. “I never thought I’d hear those words; and I never thought I’d appreciate them as much as I do.” She smiled and gave me a kiss on the cheek.

“Good to see you guys kiss and make up,” said Nolan.

Gwen leaned over Nolan’s seat, grabbed his head and gave him a rapid series of kisses. “And I’m going to kiss and make up with you, too.”

“Me?” said Nolan. “What did I do?” He pointed at me. “He’s the one who messed up.”

“You share,” Gwen said. “You share the good and the bad.”

“And the blame,” said Nolan concedingly. “Fair enough.”

“And the kisses,” Gwen added, and she gave him another series of kisses on his cheek and shoulder.

“What’s this about feelings for property?” asked Nolan.

“Axel has feelings for me,” said Gwen with a beaming smile, “even though I’m his property.”

  “You’re our property,” Nolan interjected.

  “I stand corrected,” said Gwen.

“It’s just a weird way of putting it,” said Axel.

“I’m OK with it,” said Gwen then she turned to me and put an index finger to my chest, “as long as you care about me and respect me like a good property owner should.”

  “Definitely,” I said.

When we hit the road, with Gwen so close to me, her body pressed against mine, I couldn’t help thinking that this would be the last time I saw her before being shipped off. Her hand rested on my knee and the small of her back pressed against my cock. I tried to adjust, but my erection just kept growing and growing and throbbing. I needed her again; I need to take her, to taste her, to fuck her.

But we were crammed in the car, speeding down the highway. Soon she’d be home and we’d be back at the base for morning drills. God, I’m going to have a serious case of blue balls.

It could have been the hum of the engine and the vibrations in the seat that lulled me into a deep sleep. I had to have been sleeping. I felt so calm, so at peace. And then Gwen took off her clothes. ‘It’s not possible for reality to be this sweet,’ I told myself.

But I knew I couldn’t be dreaming. My fantasies were never this vivid; they were never this intoxicating or this satisfying.

I was on her; the whole squad was on her. I was in her, my stiff cock deep in her warm wet pussy.

We came together. But her pleasures didn’t end there.

I switched places with Nolan. Now, in the passenger seat, I saw the familiar landscape of San Diego come into view. I lay back, content, not only by the fact that my needs had been met, but also by knowing that the woman I cared about was being taken care of.

We let Gwen off at her place. There was no time for long goodbyes. They weren’t necessary anyway. We were all confident we would see each other soon enough.

  “We’ll be back,” said Santiago.

“I’ll be here,” said Gwen. She blew us a kiss and went into her building: safe and at home.

For us, however, home didn’t represent safety or comfort—not at that hour, at least. We had barely enough time to take a quick shower and get dressed before we were off to morning drills.

I surprised myself: despite not getting any sleep, I was fine for morning drills, sustained by hope and happiness.

The afternoon, however, was a different story. I was a wreck. But our drill sergeant was understanding, and he took it easy on us.

In two days we’d be sent off.

In eight months we’d be back—or possibly ten. Whenever it would be, I wasn’t troubled. I was serene, confident Gwen would be here waiting for us.

There was one more loose end to take care of before leaving: see my mother. I had no delusions that, in just one day, we’d be able to make up for years of growing apart. But I wanted, at least, to set us on the right path. Maybe I was doing it for Alexa; maybe I was doing it for Gwen, or maybe I was doing it because I’d always known I should. Whatever the reason, I drove out to see her the night before our deployment.

It didn’t go as badly as I’d feared it would. The awkward silences weren’t that awkward. The distance between us might have been overestimated. I told her about Gwen, in general terms, but it was a start.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to see Alexa before I left. I did phone her, though.

  “I saw Mom,” I said.

  “I know. She told me.”

“That was fast. I only left her an hour ago.”

  “Thank you,” said Alexa.

  “What for?”

“For seeing Mom. I’m glad you did. I know we’re not the closest of families, but it makes me happy that you two saw each other before you left.”

  “Alexa?” I said.

  “Axel.”

“Would you mind if I told Gwen about you?”

  “What do you mean?”

“If I told her that you also have a… let’s call it an unorthodox relationship.”

  “Is she a gossip?”

“I don’t think so,” I said. “She doesn’t seem like the type.”

Alexa took a moment before answering. “Sure. Why not. It might be fun to compare notes. Give her my number.”

Back at the base everyone was busy packing or on the phone with loved ones. I did find a minute when we were all together—just a minute. But that’s all I needed.

“Guys,” I said. “I think we need to make a change to our ground rules.”

  “Like what?” said Elijah.

“Like no ground rules,” I said with a smile. “I think we’ve proved that we trust each other, that we work as a team and that none of us is going to undermine the team.”

  We all agreed.

I thanked them then excused myself to call Gwen, without the intermediary of Travis.

  “Gwen, this is Axel.”

“Hi, Axel. I didn’t recognize the number.”

“I suspect you’ll be getting several calls in the hour from numbers you don’t recognize.”

  “Oh?”

“Yeah, we’ve made some changes to our ground rules.”

  “Such as?”

“Such as: no more ground rules.”

She chuckled. “I’m actually glad to hear that. I always thought they were a little strange.”

  “Gwen?”

  “Axel.”

  “I want to give
you my sister’s number. You can call her if you want.”

  “Thanks.”

“You two have a lot in common, more than you might think.”

“Intriguing. I don’t suppose you’re going to tell me what.”

“Of course I’m going to tell you,” I said. “I’m not going to keep anything from you. My sister—her name’s Alexa—she’s in a relationship quite like the one you’re in.”

“Really? As in with multiple partners.”

  “Yep.”

“Wow, that is intriguing. I think I will call her.”

  “Gwen?”

  “Axel.”

“Can I get something from you?”

“Of course, you can, Axel. What is it you want from me?”

“Can you send me a picture?”

It didn’t take me long to start feeling homesick. I was surprised how much I missed San Diego: the comfort of my bed, the routine I had fallen into there, the weather and of course Gwen. The excitement of new experiences in a new country wore off quite quickly. The prospect of adventure, and even danger, had dwindled just as fast. After a few days it became quite clear that our deployment wasn’t going to bring about much of either. Instead, it was mostly filled with waiting, anticipation and the promises of a future reward.

Though we had the occasional access to the internet and we did send messages to our families, to communicate with Gwen we opted for an old school method: pen and paper and airmail. It just seemed to fit the vibe of the old war movies where the soldiers would send letters back to their girls waiting for them back home.

There was something extra exciting, extra gratifying about the build-up, the anticipation, waiting for the mail and hoping we’d get a letter from Gwen. Plus, the letter was physical, something we could touch. We could run our fingers over the paper and trace the words, imaging her voice speaking them to us and her wink and smile as she delivered the over-the-top corny line or innuendo. This method of communication really matched our mood; email or texts would have seemed out of place. Stationed half-way across the world with our return date being regularly pushed back, we were in no position to expect instant gratification.
