The Yielding of Rose (Terran Captives Book 2) Page 9

“I’ve learned to expect the unexpected. Usually, the unexpected is me.”

Torval shook his head. “Arrogant asshole.”

“Tell me though. What do you think of her?”

Torval gazed out across the deck as they walked, the sun catching the gleaming metal of the buildings across the street. A huge air freighter soared down the gap between the two buildings, ruffling their clothing, the noise deafening for an instant until it moved away.

They watched the freighter go until it was but a speck in the sky, then Torval finally answered the question. “She is beautiful. You know it, I know it — are you trying to make me act like I don’t see it? I’ve never seen skin like that on a human being. All those freckles, so pale.”

“So you like,” Kosha said, a sly note to his voice. He knew — he knew very well indeed Torval was more than interested.

So what does that mean? And what does that mean for you?

Kosha didn’t have the answer to that question yet, but he knew with time, he’d find it. He always did. It was how he was so successful in the Survey Corps; his patience, his relentlessness, his confidence that no matter how long it took, he’d eventually solve the problem. Torval might have grudgingly appreciated those qualities in his friend, but the Survey Corps sure didn’t.

The doctor stopped and gazed across at the city once more, putting his hands on the railing that ran along the edge of the deck. “I should turn you in, you know. If I don’t, I could lose my license. Even prison.”

Torval flicked a glance at his friend, derision, exasperation, and even some amusement clear in his eyes. “But you knew I wouldn’t, didn’t you? You knew your old friend would bite the bullet and keep quite about it, didn’t you?”

Kosha leaned a hip against the rail. “I value friendship above all and I know you do too. There’s something else I know too, Torval. You know I wouldn’t do anything I couldn’t handle, anything that I didn’t have a plan for.”

Torval looked at him. “So you’re telling me you had a plan for this the entire time?”

“Not exactly. But I’ve been thinking about it for a long time, since I was a little boy actually. What better time than now to actually see if it could be done?”

Torval made a sound under his voice, shaking his head slowly. “And what is it you’re planning to do here, Kosha? She’s not some animal. She’s not some experiment. She’s a human being. We’re supposed to be watching over them, not kidnapping them.”

“I can watch over them better here than I can on earth.”

Torval looked back toward the office. “Do you think she thinks so?”

It was Kosha’s turn to be silent for he wasn’t sure if he knew the answer. He knew what he wanted the answer to be, which was that deep down inside, she was as fascinated by the situation as he was, if perhaps from a different direction, a different perspective. But he also knew she was smart. She was tough. And if he knew her well enough, he knew she was even now planning a way to escape, her body’s traitorous reactions notwithstanding. He found he actually liked the idea, the fact that she wouldn’t lay down and take this, that she wouldn’t be easy. That she would be a challenge.

Torval might not understand that part. He might just be blinded by her beauty, by the size of her tits, by that pale skin, those beautiful blue eyes, that gorgeous red hair. Even now thinking of her again, his cock was already at half mast. He needed to bring her down to the level he needed her to be. He wasn’t sure if he could even do it. But he was damn sure going to try.

“What are you thinking about, Kosha? Are you thinking about maybe doing the right thing for once? Yeah, what am I saying?” Torval tapped the railing with his hand. “You would never do the right thing, Kosha. You do what’s right for you.”

Kosha didn’t deny it; they both knew it was true. But they also knew he would never hurt the girl, not really.

“Let me ask you something. Assuming I know what you have planned, would you”—Torval paused, looking toward the office again—“would you take her even if she resisted, even if she said no? Would you still go through with it?”

For the first time, his friend had surprised him. And he had no idea how to answer that question — because he’d never actually thought of the possibility.

Why hadn’t he thought of the idea that she might say no? That she might resist even to the last? Even after all the training he had planned for her.

Kosha chewed on his lip for a moment, then shook his head. “No, I wouldn’t. But I don’t think that’s going to be a problem. Her reaction, you saw it yourself. That says more than any words she could ever speak. That says more than any actions she could ever take. She might fight this. Hell, in her mind, she might think she doesn’t want this, but her body does. Something inside of her is as fascinated by this as I am. Something inside her maybe doesn’t want this, but wants to find out how this ends. And maybe at that point, she will want this.”

Torval’s voice was low, a steel note to it now. “You can’t make her want this. You know this.”

Kosha met his friend’s eyes, smiling. “I know I can’t. But when I’m done with her, she’s going to beg me to take her. I know this as sure as the Three Sisters rise in the night sky. She will.”

Torval shook his head, holding up both hands like an exasperated parent, tiring of talking to his stubborn reason-proof toddler. “Like I said, Kosha, you better know what you’re doing.”

“So, are you going to help me or not?”

Torval spun, facing him, jabbing a finger at his friend. “Of course I’m going to help you. The problem is what you need is more than I can give you.”

Kosha tilted his head. “I don’t follow.”

With a deep breath, Torval crossed his arms behind his back once more. “You aren’t the first one to do this. I’m sure you understand.”

“I assumed so. I’ve never actually known anybody who holds one. A human, I mean.”

“There are others,” Torval said, with a rueful quirk of his lips. “And when they bring them — and if they have medical issues — I’ve volunteered to assist them with them. I keep quiet about it too, despite any… misgivings I might have.”

Kosha grinned. “I knew it. I knew that about you.”

Torval waved a hand at him. “Don’t get ahead of yourself. This doesn’t mean that what I think you did wasn’t a complete and utter mistake that you’re going to regret.”

“But you’re going to help me, yes?”

The doctor nodded his head slowly. “Yes. But on one condition.”

“Name it,” Kosha said, triumph filling him as he realized yet another gamble had paid off handsomely.

“I get to see her at your home. You give me regular checkups on the girl, even if you think it’s not necessary. Even if you think there’s nothing wrong with her.”

Kosha put his hands on his hips. “Done. That’s it?”

Torval met his gaze then, something in the man’s eyes saying there was… more there. “There might be, Kosha. There might be more. But for now, that’s good enough for me. It’s time to go back in there. It’s time for her exam. Are you ready?”

The doctor was already walking back toward the door before Kosha answered. “After you, doctor. I know you’re looking forward to this just as much as I am.”

  Chapter 8

When they reentered the room, they found her staring straight up, the straps across her body making her flesh bulge slightly in places. Kosha couldn’t help but stare at the way the pubic hair between her legs looked against the strap that was cinching down tightly over her hips. He wanted to run his fingers through it.

He wanted to do so much more.

She looked at them when they walked in, her frantic gaze slipping from one to the other, then back again. Her lips were red and swollen. He imagined her chewing them feverishly while she waited, alone on her exam table, dreading — and yet, needing — their return.

Torval tapped him on the shoulder. “Secure
her legs for me. The stirrups should be fine. We’ll put her in the analyzer unit afterward.” Rose’s eyes went wide at that, and it was then that Kosha realized Torval had turned off his translator. Kosha turned his off too.

The sound of her voice suddenly chirping in one of the humans’ many strange languages never ceased to amaze him. She spoke in rapid fire high-pitched tones, and for a moment he wished he could understand it without a translator. He found it fascinating to listen to her, a language so unlike their own, at once considerably simpler, even primitive compared to Yaanfahri, and still in its own way, utterly alien.

As Kosha laid his hand on her thigh, she tensed, the muscles beneath his palm trembling. Her gaze locked with his as he undid the straps holding down her lower limbs. Slowly, he eased her legs apart. At first, she resisted, but Kosha tapped her on the inside of her thigh, merely humming at her, urging her to obey, inside hoping she might decide not to.

Fortunately, she chose the wiser of the two options, allowing him to splay her thighs wide until they were split apart like a wishbone. Her sex — red, swollen, and moist — was displayed blatantly between her thighs and this time, he could no longer resist touching it, testing those soft curls, the silkiness of her pubic hair, the wiry tactile sensation against his fingertips something he knew he would never tire of. Her scent was strong already. It was clear her body knew what was about it happen, even if her mind might not.

  Good.

The doctor gathered several instruments, laying them on a white cloth-draped tray, setting it atop a tall, thin table next to where Rose lay. She watched him intently as he worked, Kosha stroking her thighs slowly to soothe her, savoring every inch of her flesh, marveling anew at the smoothness of her skin, the softness, the alluring vulnerability, the sweet trepidation rolling off his helpless captive in waves. Her breasts heaved with her quick breathing, her belly drawing in and out below her rib cage with each breath. He traced the inviting whorl of her navel, testing it with his fingertip, the trim muscles of her abdomen vibrating with his touch.

Torval cleared his throat, and Kosha found the man watching him intently as if his exploration of the bound girl’s body was needlessly delaying Torval’s important work.

Kosha shook his head, giving the man a slight grin. “Apologies. Please proceed, doctor.”

Torval’s finger pointed at the suspended stirrup apparatus. “Those are way too big for her, but if you lower them down enough, they should work. You may have to cinch them around her lower legs rather than at her ankles though.”

Kosha made quick work of them, her legs forced as wide as they could go, revealing all to his gaze. Her face burned a deep crimson as he secured the last cuff, drawing her feet high into the air.

“It’s okay, girl,” Kosha murmured, patting her hip, loving the fact that she couldn’t understand him. He didn’t know why her confusion only increased his arousal. It was one of those things he decided not to question. He’d just go with it, enjoy it.

Torval drew back the white cloth, revealing several instruments, most of which Kosha had never seen before, not having experience with gynecological exams. The doctor’s voice was matter-of-fact, clinical, cool.

“First we need a general exam of her muscle tone, look for any injuries, then we’ll do a pelvic scan of her. Human anatomy is almost identical to ours, just on a smaller scale, so all of the instruments should work. For someone of her size, however, they may be slightly… uncomfortable.”

  Kosha smirked. “She’ll live.”

His finger tapping at his collarbone, Torval sat down next to the table, touching Rose’s arm. “Now, we’re just going to have a look at you. Some of the things we do, you may like; some of them, you certainly will not like. But it’s very important that you remain relaxed, no matter what. We’ll try not to hurt you though. Do you understand?”

She nodded frantically. “Okay,” she said, her voice thin, reedy. “Just … please don’t hurt me.”

Torval’s hands smoothed over her shoulder. “You’ll be just fine. Just going to have a look at you. Lay back and relax.” His long finger tapped at his collarbone again, translator turned off once more. “She’s extremely nervous, very tense. It’s going to make her pelvic more uncomfortable for her.”

  Kosha shrugged. “Any suggestions?”

Torval scratched his chin. “I might have one, but it’s not exactly… appropriate.”

“Do you think any of this is appropriate?” Kosha said, raising his eyebrows.

  “Point taken.”

Retrieving the first instrument from the tray, a small metallic palm-sized machine, the doctor ran it over the girl’s chest back and forth, then laying it against her temple and down low at the juncture of thigh and hip. “Blood flow is good, nerve conduction is quite healthy. She’s nervous, but she’s in fine shape.”

“Nice to be young,” Kosha murmured.

“And beautiful.” Torval laid the unit back on the tray, and he retrieved the first of two phalluses, a light at the tip sparkling an alternating green and blue color.

“What the hell is that used for?”

“This the vaginal evaluation unit.” Torval flicked it on, and the faintest hum could be felt on the air. “It’s a transducer, with a very sensitive visual and IFR scanner. I usually only use this for advanced pregnancies. But it gives us a good visual of the inside of her pelvis, so I think it’s probably a good idea.”

Kosha rolled his eyes. “Whatever. Just do what you have to do.”

Torval took Kosha’s place at the girl’s legs, her breasts heaving faster now, her pink nipples prominent and hard. She bit her lower lip as she watched them, saying something again in her alien tongue, her voice tight with fright.

The note of her distress only increased the tightness at Kosha’s groin.

Torval’s fingers stroked up one side of her sex, then down the other, spreading each inner lip flat, Torval leaning close to examine them. “Genitals are normal. Everything appears to be healthy.” Then he introduced the probe, the lights disappearing against the wetness of her sex. He touched the hood of her clitoris, smoothing it back slowly.

His cock beginning to harden further, Kosha watched his friend reveal the little red nodule of her clit to their gazes.

Torval touched it gently with his fingers, the girl jerking in her bonds with a bitten off yelp.

Kosha wished those fingers were his.

“Clitoris is rather prominent,” Torval observed. “Even for a human.”

Kosha well knew from his rather detailed perusal of human anatomy that human females — unlike the typical Yaanfahr female — often had quite prominent clits. And Rose’s was particularly so.

  He found he loved it.

Amazingly, a smile spreading across Kosha’s face as he watched it, Torval frictioned it until it was crimson, gleaming and swollen even more, the girl squirming under the stricture of her bonds, a plaintive word slipping from her lips, her eyes shut tightly.

“Rather responsive as well,” Torval said. “Not surprising for a human.” He looked up at Kosha. “Lucky you.”

  Kosha chuckled softly.

  Lucky me, indeed.

The doctor’s big hands smoothed over her belly and he murmured at her, even though they both knew she couldn’t understand a word he said. “We’ll go slow with this,” Torval said. “Her vagina is likely to be extremely tight, especially considering the size difference. These probes weren’t made for openings this small.”

“She’ll manage,” Kosha said. “Look at how wet she is already.”

They could both see it. Whether her excitement was a physical defense or something more, Kosha found he didn’t care; he just knew it was one of the most beautiful — and erotic — things he’d seen in his entire life.

Almost as an afterthought, Torval glanced up at Kosha. “Do you know if she’s been used yet? By Terran men?”

Kosha stared at her as he said it. “No. Untried. I asked her myself.”

  Torval’s b
row arched then as he looked from Kosha to Rose. “Did you know this when you took her?”

Kosha shrugged again. “No. But it wouldn’t have stopped me if I had.”

  “Bastard,” Torval muttered.

Kosha knew it wasn’t worth arguing the truth of that statement.

“I’d better check then,” Torval said with a sigh, pulling the probe away. With two fingers, he spread her labia apart, revealing her glistening pink core to their gaze. Easing a long finger inside, she yelped as he probed left and right. He made a small sound as he found what he was apparently looking for.

“She wasn’t lying. Human females who’ve never copulated typically have a vestigial partial barrier within the vagina — they call it a ‘hymen’ in her language. It’s intact. Fortunately for you, it’s not particularly prominent, nor restrictive. Regardless, it’s going to hurt her when you take her. It’s guaranteed to tear. You understand that, don’t you?”

  “I do.”

His cock was a steel hard, aching length in his pants.

Torval met his gaze. “You have to be gentle with her the first time. It’s never going to be easy for her. But the first time is liable to be agony, unless you’re very careful.”

“I will be,” Kosha said, his voice suddenly quiet, almost solemn.

Inside, he knew he would do whatever it took to keep it from being too much of a trial for her. He didn’t want her first time to be agony; he wanted her first time to be an experience of discovery, something she would never forget, something he never wanted her to forget.

He would do all he could to make it happen, even if he had to be more patient with her. He was not at all known for his patience, but for her, he’d find a way.

But there was one thing he knew, without a doubt, as he looked down upon his bound, frightened charge — he would take her, and very thoroughly indeed, whether it hurt her or not.

Knowing he was to be her first… spoke to something ancient, and primitive, and dark within him.

Torval patted her thigh, placing the probe against her sex again, this time easing it inside of her. She tensed, the tendons at the insides of her thighs standing out stark as he pushed in deep. “It’s okay, girl. It’s okay,” Torval said, stroking her leg. “Just need to get a good image here.”
