“You want assistance, then I’ll give you assistance,” Lin said. “Do the job. Take care of the Corps and the Triads will clean up the mess you make. Nobody will be able to trace it back to you. There will be no evidence of what happened. The Corps will have simply gone missing. It will be like they never existed.”
Lin took a step back with his arms out.
“That’s my proposal, gentlemen. Deal with the Corps so we can both get back to business.”
Garnet looked at the other club members.
“I don’t want to be in Ivory longer than I have to,” Lin added.
Garnet turned to me last. Normally we would take a vote on something like this. But after what happened to Anna and the shelter, I wasn’t about to let the other members stop me. Garnet knew I wanted this just as much as anybody else.
I nodded to Garnet.
“Okay,” he said to Lin. “We’ll take care of the Corps. When the job is done—”
“When the job is done, we’ll already know,” Lin replied.
He snapped his fingers and left the warehouse flanked by his two guards.
The rest of the club waited for a few moments to make sure that they were gone. I looked around at every single man. None of them seemed to be having any reservations. But I wasn’t about to risk them.
“We’re really doing this, huh?” Needle said.
“I’m doing this,” I said.
“What?” Sully exclaimed.
“You two have got old ladies waiting for you. There’s no point in putting yourselves at risk. I’ll get the job done. Brawn is all I need.”
“Thanks,” Brawn said sarcastically.
The big man smirked at me and I patted him on the arm.
“You can’t say that we shouldn’t risk ourselves because of our ladies,” Sully said. “What about Anna?”
“Yeah,” Needle said. “What about Anna?”
“Anna’s the reason I’m doing this in the first place,” I said. “She’s my lady. She’s my responsibility.”
I looked at Garnet to see if he would back me up. I could see the hesitation in his eyes.
“How many of them are there?” Garnet said.
“They all came out to the clubhouse in their trucks that night,” I said. “I remember. Can’t be more than a dozen.”
“A dozen… What do you think, Brawn? You think this is something you and Ghost can handle by yourselves?”
Brawn crossed his arms and eyeballed me.
“I’ll go by myself if I have to,” I said. “This is my responsibility.”
The club’s enforcer patted me on the back so hard I almost fell over.
“I got your back, brother,” he said.
“All right then,” Garnet said. “It’s settled. Ghost and Brawn will take care of the Corps. Just in case you two don’t make it—”
“We’ll make it,” I said.
“Just in case you two don’t make it,” he repeated. “We’ll finish the job for you.”
The whole club was in agreement. I looked around at all of them and not a single of them had any doubt. I’d never been so sure of anything in my life.
“Petey,” I said. “Talk to Warlock. I might need some help with this.”
“Sure,” he said. “Whatever you need.”
We walked out of the warehouse and got back on our bikes. Garnet and I stayed behind while the other club members sped off down the road and headed back to the part of Ivory we were more familiar with. The club president walked up to me and looked off into the distance as he spoke.
“Get this job done,” he said. “You’ve got every reason to now. Anna’s the one.”
“I know that now. Nothing’s gonna stop me from getting back to her.”
Chapter 21
JON
The location Lin gave us was far enough from Ivory that I could make some noise without drawing police attention. By the time they showed up, the Triads would have cleaned up any mess I made. With the equipment Petey gave me, I had enough gear to make some real fireworks.
The evening was just getting started for most people. It was an average night for most people in the clubhouse. I could hear the music and conversation thumping through the walls. I locked myself in my room away from everybody else so that I could maintain my focus.
The explosives were packed. My guns were loaded. I had more than enough to handle a dozen Corps members and even more if they possibly showed up.
The lights were off in my room. I sat next to the window and looked out into the city. The view of Ivory was enough to clear my thoughts.
I didn’t look when there was a knock at my door.
“Come in.”
The door opened slowly. I already knew who it was.
“I’m not bothering you, am I?”
I smiled at the thought.
“You could never bother me.”
Anna closed the door behind her. She took a seat next to me and joined me.
“It looks the same,” she said.
“Does it?”
“It’s just like yesterday. Those days when I would spend time here in the clubhouse with you… It doesn’t feel much different.”
“You and I are a lot older now. Five years is a big difference.”
“Maybe… But some things feel familiar no matter how much time has gone by.”
The way the moonlight reflected off of her face made her look like some kinda piece of art. She was the same woman I fell in love with all those years ago. A few years older but still just as beautiful.
“Thanks for talking to me,” she said.
“I’m always one call away.”
“After what happened at the shelter, and what Lieberman said… I didn’t know who else to turn to.”
“You made the right call.”
There was some sadness in her eyes. I guess I couldn’t blame her after all the shit that went down.
“I thought things would be different,” she said. “I thought that with someone like Agent Lieberman in town, innocent people wouldn’t have to get hurt. Now I realize she’s more than willing to put innocent people in the way.”
She shook her head before she continued.
“I wanted to tell you to call it off. I know you have something going on. The Triads. The Chinese. Whatever club business you’re dealing with, that’s the reason the Corps are so pissed.”
“I’d walk away if that’s what it took to have you back in my life.”
“No,” she said, shaking her head. “I can’t ask you to do something like that. I know what that patch means to you.”
“You mean everything to me.”
“It’s not just about me. It’s about this town. It doesn’t matter what kind of club business you have going on. If you walked away, things would still keep moving. People wouldn’t stop moving drugs. Justice wouldn’t be served. Crime would still run rampant. The Triads and other gangs would still be out there. People like Lieberman would be doing everything they could to infringe on the freedoms of this town.”
The sadness in her eyes had disappeared, replaced by a confidence I knew she had inside of her.
“I know you’re a good man,” she said. “I know you’ll do what’s right. That’s the only kind of man I would ever fall in love with. I didn’t know it until now. But I came back to Ivory because it was home. You are the reason it feels like home.”
The boys would’ve laughed at me if they could see me now. Swallowing, trying to hold back all of my emotions. But even if they could, I wouldn’t have given a shit. The love I had for this woman was like nothing else. Looking at Anna now, I realized everything I ever wanted in my life was right there in front of me. I was gonna do anything to make sure she was always by my side.
“I’ve been waiting for you to say that,” I said. “I’ve been waiting for you for so long.”
“I’m here now. I’m here now.”
She got up and moved toward me. Standing in front of me, she looked down. Those brown eyes of he
rs had me hypnotized.
Her lips parted slightly. A soft breath escaped her mouth.
“I’m not going anywhere,” she whispered.
I leaned forward and put my hands on the bottom of her shirt. I slowly raised it up enough to reveal her milky soft skin. I kissed her stomach and licked around her navel. She sighed a deep breath in response.
I pulled her closer to me, kissing down her body and along her beltline. I fumbled with her jeans and undid the zipper faster than I ever had in my life. A small black thong was the only thing separating me from the sweetest thing I’d ever tasted.
I peeled her panties down to her ankles where her jeans were. Her mound was smooth. Underneath it, her pussy was wet just for me. My mouth watered just the same.
I looked up and saw the intensity in her eyes. Her mouth opened more but nothing came out.
I didn’t wait another second.
I leaned forward and put my mouth on her. A long lick up her slit and toward her swollen clit made her knees buckle. I sucked and swallowed all of the juices leaking out of her. Her flavor would have been enough to make any man forget what he was thinking. I was the only man fortunate enough to taste it.
I worked my tongue over her folds, teasing her clit before pushing back down to her entrance. I pushed my tongue inside of her so I could taste even more of her.
She put a hand on the back of my head. Her nails dug softly into my skin. I pushed my face forward and my tongue shoved even deeper.
“Shit… Jon…”
She moaned my name. That shit was like hearing a chorus from heaven. I started moving my tongue even harder against her, tasting her clit as much as I could.
I reached my hands up and squeezed her ass to hold her in place. She was trembling so much I thought she would fall over.
“Oh, God… Jon… Jon, I’m gonna…”
A stifled groan cut her off. Suddenly both of her hands were on my head. I wrapped my lips around her clit and sucked gently. She squeezed my head tight in her hands. I listened to the sound of her holding her breath before suddenly gasping deeply.
Her body shook so much that I had to firm my grip to keep her standing. Her muscles were contracting from her orgasm. I knew she was coming. She might have been able to fake the moans but she couldn’t fake the way she tasted. She was losing control and I was enjoying every second of it.
I kept sucking and licking her until she pulled my head from her. I popped up from my seat and gave her a deep kiss, letting her taste the flavor of her orgasm. At the same time, Anna peeled my kutte off of me.
We both worked frantically to tear our clothes off each other. Jeans. Shirts. Boots. Shoes. Underwear. Every piece of clothing ended up scattered around my room until our bare bodies were pressing against each other.
She giggled as she fell onto my bed. I pounced on top of her, my lips locked with hers. The feeling of her hands on my face forced me to pull away from her.
I looked down into her eyes. I couldn’t help but shake my head.
“What’s wrong?” she whispered.
“I’ve waited so long for this moment. There’s nothing like this. Nothing…”
“You’re the only one, Jon. I don’t care about anything else anymore. All I care about is you.”
She wrapped her legs around me and rolled me over until I was on my back. I looked up at her while she straddled me.
Anna put her hands behind her head and tied her hair back. A pair of tits just the right size. That hypnotizing stare of hers. Hips that I could hold onto. Legs that fit perfectly at my sides. Her body was fucking perfect.
“Lay back,” she said. “Let me take it from here.”
She grabbed my cock and made me sigh. I was so fucking hard I could’ve exploded into her palm right then and there. I held back though. Not until I could feel all of her.
She stared at me as she raised her hips up. Her eyes locked on mine, Anna lowered herself down onto me. My cock disappeared inside of her, impaling her completely. Her eyes shut and she leaned forward.
Anna had this way of riding me that was unlike any other woman I’d ever been with. Girls like Stephanie and other sluts that hung around the clubhouse always wanted to sleep with a patch but they were fucking lazy about it.
Not Anna. She wanted me to enjoy it just as much as she did.
She grinded against me. She let me feel every inch of her insides, rising up until just my tip was inside of her before lowering back down. She squeezed herself around me so I could feel just how tight she was.
It was enough to drive any man insane.
I couldn’t hold back. No man could.
I grabbed her waist and tightened my grip on her. My hips started moving.
She leaned forward and kissed me sloppily. Moaning into my mouth, Anna slammed her hips down onto me. I thudded the base of my cock against her. The sound of my body slamming against her ass filled the room. The mattress squeaking underneath me joined the chorus of our fucking.
I could still hear the sound of the music thumping through the walls. The party in the clubhouse was in full swing. Right now, the only sound I wanted to hear was Anna breathing against me.
My balls tightened up against me. It was taking every ounce of strength to hold back. My muscles were tight. My body was sweating. My lungs burned as I held my breath.
Hair messy. Tits bouncing. Whimpering. Anna leaned forward and pressed her forehead against mine. She locked her eyes on mine.
“Come inside of me, Jon… Give it to me… You’re the only man who can give it to me right… Come… Come…”
I squeezed her waist so tight in my hands there were gonna be marks on her. I gritted my teeth and grunted as I came hard.
The first spurt of cum made my body jerk. Another made me tremble again. I held myself deep inside of her, making sure that she felt every inch of my throbbing cock.
Anna squeezed herself around me and pressed her palms into the pillow around my head. She braced herself while I emptied my cock into her.
She milked all of the cum out of me. I wanted to stay inside of her but even my body had limits.
I freed her waist from my hands and sank onto the bed. My breath slowed and my heart steadied.
I closed my eyes and enjoyed the feeling of her resting her head against my chest.
It was then that I realized this could be the last time I saw her. If this was my end, I couldn’t think of a better way to go.
“When are you leaving?” she asked.
“Later tonight.”
“Just stay with me… A little bit longer… Please…”
She didn’t have to beg me.
I wrapped my arms around her and held her close. We laid in my bed together, our bare bodies pressed against each other.
The music was distant in the clubhouse. The bar was packed. It wasn’t silent but I’d never felt the peace that I did now.
Chapter 22
JON
Most people made assumptions about Brawn when they looked at him. Well over six feet tall. Nearly 300 pounds. He had bowling balls for arms and they were as hard as a rock.
I’d known the guy for as long as I could remember. I’d been in enough fights to know that he could hold his own. I couldn’t recall a time when Brawn ever lost. Most brawls ended either when he got bored or police showed up to point a gun at him. I wouldn’t have been surprised if Brawn was able to break out of a pair of cuffs if he were inclined to.
To everybody, he was just some meathead who liked to thump skulls when it pleased him. I knew there was more to him than that though. There was something deep inside of him. Something that made me proud to wear the same patch as him.
Honor. Loyalty. Trust.
Right now, the one thing I needed more than anything else was focus.
He was giving it to me.
He looked out into the distance, his eyes unblinking. He narrowed his gaze as if trying to figure out what he was looking at.
“It’s quiet,” he said.
>
“Too quiet,” I responded. “They must know we’re here.”
“You think maybe Lin is trying to set us up?”
“I don’t think the Chinese care about you or me personally. But they’ve got a problem on their hands with the Corps. Why do you think they’re willing to come and ‘clean up’ the mess we’re about to make?”
“There’s gonna be a mess, all right. A big one.”
“You ready for this? There’s a chance we might not make it back to Ivory.”
Brawn slowly turned to me.
“I’ve made my peace with God a long time ago,” he said. “Death has always been waiting for me.”
I patted him on his boulder-like arm and smiled.
“Death is gonna have to wait a bit longer.”
He gave me a confident nod and looked back out into the distance.
It was late into the night. The only light came from the moon and the stars up above. It was hard to tell where we were at because we were so far from Ivory. Hiding in the bushes, I could barely make out the makeshift warehouse with the two familiar-looking pickup trucks parked outside.
“They’re ready,” he said. “They’re ready and waiting. They know we’re coming.”
“They’re ex-military. They’re always ready for something. We just gotta hit ‘em real fucking hard.”
I held the bag up with the gear that Petey had given me. Brawn didn’t need to say anything more. He just nodded again and we were off. We slowly made our way through the darkness, trying to make as little noise as possible. We managed to get right up to the warehouse without drawing any attention.
I reached into the bag and tossed some of the C4 to Brawn. We worked together to line the building with the explosives.
I listened for anything but it didn’t sound like anybody was inside. Their trucks were parked outside though. I knew this had to be the place.
As soon as we were done laying the explosives, Brawn and I got a good distance away. I pulled out the detonator and readied everything.
“You sure you know what you’re doing?” Brawn said.
“Petey showed me everything. Piece of cake—”
Boom.
I activated the detonator and before I could even raise my thumb back up, a deafening explosion filled the silent night. Smoke, fire, and dust filled the air.
