“What really happened?” he asked himself as he hacked into a few street cameras near that area.

He rolled the tape back and saw the Barons five killing the sheeple and living dead almost instantly. While the tape itself did not show the event, as Caden's eyes were opened, he could see the Barons and then the angels there after.

“Holy shit!” he said as he watched the battle commence.

Caden ran to the phone and called Rufus who was still walking towards the Temple.

  “Caden. What is it?”

“Bad news Rex. The Barons have surfaced and I just saw a video where they engaged the angels. It was a massacre. It looks like the Keepers have them, but we really dropped the ball. Do you want me to go out and see what's what?” he asked.

“No. Park it right there. I'm on my way back. I'm calling a Round Table because we need to come together and organize before this gets out of hand,” he said hanging up the phone.

“For fucks sake!” he shouted, kicking dirt and leaves.

“So, the white horse reveals himself. The time has come and my eyes grow dark, yet I cannot see my way through,” he thought to himself as he leaned against a tree. Caden paced as he was feeling somewhat impatient with Rufus's order for him to stay. He called in Jin-Lu, Claudius and Colton who were sleep in their chambers to watch the video.

“Hey look! Its Deuces! That little shit sure gets around. I wonder what card he dropped,” Claudius said, watching the skinny man ride past the Barons.

“I thought his name was Findley,” Caden added.

“It is, but I call him Deuces,” Claudius replied.

“Shit's getting bad when the Barons come up. The Prophet has made a mess,” Colton said shaking his head.

Caden rolled over to the computer as a red light was blinking, indicating that there was a new message.

“Hey guys. Remember those living dead that Cesare killed? The ones who claimed they got their spells from the internet? Well I did a bit of digging and found that there is a website: www.thehornedgod.com and on this website there are weekly telecasts from some guy who calls himself Baal. It looks like they just posted another video,” he said as he put the site on the large screen.

“Welcome dear followers to the end of the world! It is I, Baal, your Grand Prefector of Ordo Viscenti Regalus, and I bring to you the first plague; brought on by the devils who call themselves the Barons. This has been seen by those Seers who live deep within the Earth, and recorded in the great book of prophecy. Those hidden powers have known this was to come and done nothing to prevent it! I stand before you, pledging myself to defend this world against this evil foe. I have given you the tools to become a god, to create a world which only you can perceive. Join my fight, and I shall teach you the secrets of this world to become as I am and make the world yours!” he said as the video cut out.

“How does he know about Dante?” Caden asked.

“I don’t know. Maybe one of the Hidden is giving him information. He couldn’t possibly know about him or the book of prophecy otherwise,” Jin-Lu said.

“So he obviously didn’t see the street full of crucified angels behind him,” Colton said laughing.

“No. They are living dead. They only think they see, but their eyes are still shut. That's what makes them dangerous. But you see, with what little enlightenment they have received, he has amassed an army. He has conquered the masses by feeding their need for knowledge. But I have a prophecy of my own. Ordo Viscenti Regalus is going to be a huge problem. One I will gladly deal with myself,” Claudius said, as all the Knights in the room turned their attention to the far east wall.

Gabriel's horn began to move and shake as though it were trying to free itself. It rumbled and everything around it began to fall. The clanging of trophies which the Knights had earned in battle fell to the floor; the horn making the loudest crash.

“The angels are trying to summon the horn,” Caden said, looking over his throne.”

“No, the horn is trying to get back to Gabriel,” Claudius corrected.

As an archaeologist, she has excavated at PaleoIndian sites dating as far back as 10,000 BCE, a 1940’s lynching site and other time periods in between. Books such as The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail, The DaVinci Code, and others sparked an interest which took her basic love of history to esoteric studies, occult arts and mythology.
