The Darker Side of Trey Grey Page 34

We found Kelly, her robe wide open, crashed on the couch with her arms tossed over her head, and her large breasts mounded upon her chest. I threw the blanket Justin and I had been sharing over her, and grimaced at the puke near the end table. The cleaning crew could deal with that. Other than the overindulged Kelly on the couch, and the remains of someone’s overindulgence on the carpet, the rest of the house wasn’t as filthy as the kitchen.

“Do you feel up to breakfast out?” I asked, wrinkling my nose, slightly disgusted.

Justin glanced around slowly, taking in the condom wrappers on the floor and joint stubs on the table. “Yeah, nothing fancy, maybe Denny’s or something.”

“Denny’s works.” It was my turn to grab his hand and tug him to the bedroom. His face was twisting, and nostrils getting wider, the more of the living room he took in.

A few minutes later Justin was once again cleaning me quite thoroughly with a body brush, and his fabulous apple body wash. My hands were being leisurely in their task of washing the evidence of the night’s sexscapades from his glorious body. I slid my hands around to the small of his back, and I became aware of how still Justin’s hands were. I glanced down and found his thumbs feathering over two of the scars on my torso. His fingers had traced them a few times over the last month but he had never asked me about them. I looked into his melancholy face, and his eyes rolled up beneath his lashes, meeting mine.

  “Willie?”

I nodded, and his eyes closed as his hands gripped my sides.

“You’ve never asked me about them.”

Justin licked his lips. “I didn’t want to know,” he breathed out.

  “But you do now?”

He opened his eyes, his lips thinning as he nodded. “I want to know everything.”

I brought my hands forward and rested them on his waist as I gazed thoughtfully into his earnest face. Everything. Even the demons in my mind didn’t know everything. But they weren’t Justin.

His hands softened against my ribs. “Nothing you tell me—”

“Tell me what your father did to you, why you tried to commit suicide the first time, and I’ll tell you everything.” I flinched as I heard the crack in my mind, and felt the shift as the fissured inside me widened. I stayed my course though, watching his eyes darkening.

Justin tensed beneath my hands, and I saw a tick develop just above his left cheekbone. His fingers juddered against my skin as he paled, and crashed to the grey tile.

Shit. What the fuck had his father done to him?
