“Do you think they really blew up my apartment?” Her voice gets serious again, her eyes watery.

“I did that. No one was hurt. Trust me. I set a safe charge to hide the hole in the closet so that they don’t know you’re with me.” Her eyes widen and she stares at me like I have two heads. I pull the car back on the road and continue our travel down towards the Pennsylvania border.

“Where in the hell did you get explosives and how did you know to set them to not cause any harm?”

“The internet. You can find anything there.” Shit.

I pull into an almost empty parking lot. A little hole in the wall hotel in close to the state line. The guy behind the counter gave me a crooked grin when he saw Candace standing beside the car.

“I know her. She’s that stripper, Candy, right? Yea. I know that’s her. I’d recognize her anywhere. I head on up to Dandy’s every week to see her. You’re a lucky man. Don’t want the girlfriend to find out? Is that why you came all the way down here?” It took everything I had inside of me to keep from knocking this man out. The poor guy wouldn’t have a tooth left in his head if I did. So I let him keep the one that’s there and just smiled. Taking the keys to our room, I grab the bags and kept Candace close to me. When I close the door behind us, I saw how gross this place is. She deserves better. But right now, we need to lie low. There’s one queen size bed in the room, it’s dingy and smells like smoke. The walls may have been white at one time, but now they are yellowish in some places. There’s a TV on a small dresser and a large mirror above it. Yea, these are the types of rooms you rent for one thing, and the mirror is most likely the only attraction of this place. Threadbare carpet covers the floor and a dusty table with two chairs are in the corner. I toss my laptop bag on the table and my duffle on the chair.

“Now, let’s listen to this recording of your day.” She’s right down to business.

“Yea, did you want to shower while I set it up?” She nods, taking her bag and sluggishly heading to the bathroom. She turns back to me, her face scrunched.

“This is disgusting. I think I’ll just change into something else and shower tomorrow somewhere. Hell, maybe the YMCA or a truck stop?”

“It’s that bad?” I ask her, trying to not laugh. Her head bobs, causing her long black waves to bounce. Turning my back to her, I give her the privacy she needs to get changed. I pull my laptop out and bring up the software. Hitting play, I lean back and listen. There’s long periods of me driving, walking, nothing but me. Then comes the good stuff. By the time Paulie starts talking, telling me what he wants, Candace has plopped down on the chair next to me. Rico calls Paulie over to him. I personally hadn’t heard what they said. I had one of our IT guys in my ear telling me how to try and hack what they needed. But, my new little gadget caught it. I’ll have to let the Director of the FBI know that the money was well spent on this thing.

“Paulie, the Mexican called. He asked if you have any girls for him tonight when you make the drop.”

“Tell him not tonight. But, who knows, maybe next time. I may be bored with Candy and ready for some cake by then.” The two men laugh.

“Okay, he asks what time he should be at the Marina.”

“Midnight. I have some things I need to handle first. We still need to get the cop to talk if this guy can’t get us the files we need. Also, let him know I moved my boat down a few slips. But he’ll recognize it.”

“Will do boss. Also, your dad called, trying to find you. What should I say?”

“Nothing. Ignore him. The old man will find out what’s up soon enough. It’s about time I take over the family business. He’s old, he’s getting soft and slipping. It’s time I take a stand and repair the damage. He’s brought the Feds and Locals down on us. I need to squash this case and get rid of my father.”

“Yeah boss man.” There’s shuffling and whispering.

“That’s where Jack came back into the room,” I inform Candace.

  “It’s her, are you sure?”

  “Yes sir.”

“Rico, call back the Mexican. We may have someone for him after all.” The skin on my arms grows goose bumps. I shiver. He wants to sell me to the monster he’s working with.

“Hey, Dominic, my man, great work.” The recording continues. “Keep it up. I have some errands to run. I’ll be back by in a few hours to check on you. If you need anything, Rico can help you with it.” His footsteps fade and then there’s me typing away. The rest is history. Candace blows out a breath she’s been holding.

“Wow, that’s crazy. I can’t believe your little toy picked that all up. There’s hope yet. We can still catch him.”

“How? It’s just us,” I ask her. I know I can catch him, but her, she can’t trust any of the cops. They gave her and Hanson up. They sentenced them to death.

“We know where the drop is. I can go, take pictures, get the evidence needed and take it to the Feds. Paulie is probably out looking for me right now, he’ll be so distracted, and it’s ok.”

Shit, Jefferson said don’t tell her. But if she gets herself killed, it’s on me. I need to call in a task force, get some of my guys out there, and keep her here.

“Look, it’s only seven. We have time. Let’s get some rest. It’s been a long ass day for both of us. Afterwards, we can worry about what to do. Sound fair?”

“There’s no we in this Geek Boy. I can’t let you put yourself in danger. You’ll get hurt, or worse, killed. I can’t live with that on my conscience.” This woman will be the death of me. As she starts to explain why, I grab her neck, pulling her face flush with mine. She cuts her words off, staring at me. Her cheeks flush with heat, lust. Her body squirms, pressing closer to mine. Her pert breasts rub against my arm, and my cock hardens. Without thinking, I crush her mouth beneath my lips. She tastes so sweet. Her soft lips part, making way for my tongue. I plunge into her hot mouth, licking at her, wanting to taste as much of her as possible. I push my body into hers as she takes a step back, then another. Her knees collide with the bed and she goes down.

Shifting myself, I crawl over top of her as she lays down across the bed. All thoughts of the nasty room dissolve as I cover her with my body. Her soft curves and silky skin beneath me are better than any bed I’ve been in. I tug at her shirt, trying to pull it over her head. She helps and I move down, kissing my way. Her neck, and she moans softly. Her shoulder and her skin prickles with goose bumps. Her chest, where she squirms, pushing her breasts in my face. I latch on to her nipple, nibbling at it, twirling my tongue around the hardened peak. Blowing softly on the wet skin, she shivers and I move over to the other one. Her hips buck beneath me, grinding against my hardened dick. The jeans I wear rub into me, chaffing at my skin. Growling, I sit up, tearing the shirt from my body. I throw the damn glasses to the ground and watch her eyes sparkle with lust as they roam my body. I work out a lot, I know there are some hard lines to my torso. Candace sits up, her tongue licking at my abs, tracing the outline of my muscles. My turn to moan, the sound erupting from my throat without a second thought. I glance over and can see her writhing beneath me in ecstasy. She’s an amazing sight caught in the throes of passion.

Pushing her back, I stand, gripping the shorts she had just slipped on. Closing my eyes, I turn my head up towards the ceiling, taking a deep breath. Before I can move, she’s twisting, trying to remove herself from the material in my hands. I yank them down her sleek tan legs, my fingers caressing on the way down. Tossing them aside, she reaches for mine. Her fingers quickly undo my jeans, letting them fall to the floor. I step out, kneeling in front of her. I take hold of her knees, spreading her before me. Her glistening lips call to me. She’s soaking wet. I lean in, inhaling the aroma of her arousal. Flicking my tongue out, I lap her juices up. The sweet taste upon my tongue kills all thoughts in my head. Candace lays back, gripping the blanket. I twirl my tongue around her clit, her hips bucking. My hands wrap around her hips, pinning her down. Continuing the assault on her core, I lick hungrily at he
r. Her moans of pleasure drive me wild. I slip my fingers into her, twisting around her pussy, coating them with her juices. The sweet noises she makes get louder as her body shifts, seeking her pleasure. Thrusting my fingers in deep and curling them, I lick harshly at her clit, sending her over the edge. She screams out.

“Dominic, oh shit. I’m cumming.” Gently removing my fingers, I suck the creamy liquid off of them.

I climb back atop Candace’s body as she shakes beneath me. My hard cock throbs between her legs. My head poised at her opening, I shove inside of her to the hilt, rocking my hips. She wraps her legs around my hips and her hands grip my arms. Her nails dig in and she closes her eyes. Breathing hard, I relish the feeling of being buried deep inside of her. Surrounded by the wet silken walls, my sensitive cock begs for release already. Her pussy walls close in on me like a hot velvety glove. A perfect fit and I never want to lose this feeling. She gazes in my eyes and a feeling of empowerment washes over me. No longer do I feel empty, hollow, and lonely. Slowly, I pull out and she sighs. I know the feeling. It’s like I belong inside of her. Maneuvering back inside of her, I press down with my hips, capturing her mouth, cutting of the purring noises. She kisses me hungrily, biting at my lips. Our tongues tangle together as I pick up the pace of my body. The quicker I thrust myself into her, the more I feel the need, the urge for release. Her nails dig into my shoulders, pulling me down on her, crushing her with my body. The grip of her legs tightens as she cries out with her orgasm. With a final thrust, I release, spilling myself into her. My body convulsing as I come down from the high of spending myself into her.

Our harsh pants are the only sound in the room. My eyes closed, I sense her contentment. Her chest heaves under me as she tries to catch her breath.

“My god, Geek Boy, if only...”

“If only what?” I can’t help but chuckle at her stupid nickname for me.

“If only I knew back in the day, how good you nerds fucked. I’d have been all over your asses from the beginning.” Laughter bursts from my mouth as I roll off of her. She curls her sweat coated body against me and I wrap my arms around her. This is new for me. This feeling of contentment, of belonging somewhere. I haven’t felt this with any of the women I’ve experienced before. It’s slightly unnerving. As Candace’s breaths deepen, I look down to see her fast asleep. Carefully, I remove my arm from underneath her and get out of bed. I pull my clothes back on and silently head to the door. One last look over my shoulder, to ensure she is still out, I slip out the door. I have some calls to make.

  “Jefferson.”

“Yo, that deal is going down. Midnight. Marina. Lake Erie. With Hanson dead, and Sirocco knowing that Candace was the UC, things are fucked.”

“Yea, I know. I have no clue who to even talk to with the locals anymore.”

“So, let’s get a team down there. We can handle this.”

“Where are you? Are you guys holed up somewhere safe?”

“Yea, a little No-Tell Motel near PA. But we can’t stay long. The clerk recognized Candace as Candy. Apparently he’s a fan. There’s no telling how far these guys have paid people off.”

“Alright, look. Be at the Marina shipyard at eleven. I’ll have a team there to meet you. We’ll get them tonight and then we can figure out what to do with Cop Girl after.”

“Sounds good man, thanks for having my back.”

“Anytime Bartel. Anytime.” Opening the trunk of the Lincoln, I can’t help but smile. I see that Jefferson has set me up with some fun toys. There are two Kevlars, six Rugers, two shotguns and a whole hell of a lot of ammo. I’m going to need this. Now, if I can only slip away from Candace without her catching on to what’s up. I need to make sure she’s safe or I won’t be able to concentrate out there tonight. I have a feeling that things between her and I aren’t finished.

  Chapter 7

Rolling over, I stretch my body. It takes me a few moments to realize where I am. Wrinkling my nose in disgust, I can’t help but smile. Mmmm, Dominic made me feel things that I haven’t felt in a long time. My skin still tingles from where he touched me. Opening my eyes, I scan the room. He’s not here. The bathroom door is open and empty. Standing, I stretch again, looking over to the mirror above the TV stand. My body looks good from hours dancing on stage in stilettos. Even after the Academy, I don’t think I was this toned. Those girls are on to something. My mind wanders as I slip on a pair of jeans and tee. The Mexican. We need to find out who that is. He’s my only link now to find out what happened to the other girls. He asked for another one. Does Paulie give his girls to this guy to get rid of them? Maybe they aren’t dead, they’re just sold off into slavery. The sex trade is growing, but so far, we haven’t dealt with that here in Buffalo. This case keeps getting deeper and deeper.

The door to the room opens and Geek Boy comes in with two cups of coffee.

“Hey,” I say softly, grinning at him. I feel, satisfied, filled, yet empty. No man has ever made me feel the things that Dominic did. The ease, the contentment. Yet, the moment he withdrew his cock from my body, I felt empty but not lonely. I’m wondering if there’s something here. Something that could possibly continue after this case. He hands me a cup of the steaming liquid.

“Thought you might need this. I need to run to the store for some things I need. Want me to grab you anything?”

“Why don’t I just go with you? I could use a few items too and I’d love to get out of this awful room.”

“Well, I thought while I was out, I’d get you into the Feds data base and you could try to find out who The Mexican is, so we know what we’re dealing with.”

“You’re the computer genius, why don’t you do that and I’ll go shopping,” I laugh. His face is serious and as I stare at him, the realization hits me, he isn’t wearing his glasses again. “Who are you? Really?” He looks confused. “You don’t need those glasses do you? You’re not really the Geek Boy you want everyone to think you are.” He scoffs and walks away towards the TV.

Scooping the glasses off the floor, he looks back at me.

“I’m not completely blind. I use these for computer work, reading and driving.” Well, now I feel like an ass. This case has me mistrusting everyone around me.

“Okay, I’m sorry. Look, I’m just stressed. I’ve been almost killed today, you blew up my apartment. I’m trying to deal with Hanson dying in front of me. I didn’t mean to act like I don’t trust you. Go ahead and get this set up in the database and I’ll run the check.” He clicks a few keys and opens it up. It’s quite similar to our BPD software, but I would guess they just have more criminal records available. More information. He turns to me, looking me over.

“You good? I’ll be back in a little while,” glancing at his watch, he looks around the room. “You still have your gun and knife right? Keep them with you. I’m not too comfortable with that guy at the front desk.” Nodding, I pat my leg where I had clipped my knife.

“I’ll be fine dad.” He chuckles a little, but you can tell it’s forced.

“Well, there was a Walmart a few miles back that’s open all night, I’m going there. Write me a list of what you need.” I jot down a few things like toiletries and hand it to him. His fingers graze my hand as he takes the list, igniting a flame that burns through my body.

“I’ll be back as soon as I can.” He leans forward, his hand cupping my chin. His lips softly caress mine. The kiss is sweet, softer than earlier. There’s no urgent rush to devour each other. I wrap my arms around his neck, pulling him closer, not wanting to let go. As he pulls away, he smiles. I let my hands fall down his back, grazing his tight ass.

“I’ll miss you,” he whispers, walking out the door. I can’t keep the smile off my face. Until it hits me. There was a gun in his waist band. Where did he get a gun? How does someone like him even know how to shoot? What’s going on here? Rushing to the door, I watch out the peep hole. I can’t see much, so I turn to the window. There’s a light in the parking lot near our room. The orange
glow it casts only lights the area slightly. But it’s enough to see what he’s doing. I push the curtain aside just enough to watch him. Dominic opens the trunk to the car. I can’t see what he’s doing, but when he closes it and heads to the driver’s seat, he’s wearing a Kevlar that says FBI. What the fuck? My heart races, tears prick at my eyes. He’s been lying to me. The Feds put someone else undercover with me? What if I can’t trust him? Sure, he saved me, but is he doing that to get an in with Paulie? Is he going to try and make this bust on his own? Was anything real? The best sex I’ve had in my whole life, he deserves an Oscar for it. Well guess what? Two can play this game. I snatch up my cell phone, dialing as I sit on the bed. While it rings, I slide my boots on.

“Sal, hey, it’s Candy. Have you heard from Paulie? I can’t reach him. We were supposed to go out to dinner tonight.” Sal Sirocco. I’m about to play dirty and put my life at risk on the hope that Sal will let me live in exchange for his son.

“Hey beautiful. Is he going to propose yet? I’m not getting any younger. It’s high time that boy settles down and makes me some grandbabies.”

“No, Sal. I’m not sure. Do you know where he is?”

“Come to think of it, no. I’ve been trying to reach him today too. Hm, that’s strange.”

“Well Sal, you and I need to talk then. Because I know where he’s going to be and you may find it interesting.”

“What’s this about Candy? Some kind of game?”

“No Sir, but if you want to keep your organization yours, and maybe stay alive, you should probably listen to me.” I spill it all. About me being a cop to come after Paulie. About the missing girls, Hanson and how Paulie thinks he’s going to kill his father and take over the Sirocco business. To say he’s pissed would be an understatement. That man said some things I’ve never even heard of.
