Corviticus University: Revelations Page 13

“See, what’d I tell you? Pathetic,” she laughed, and I watched, heartbroken, as Ollie shot off across the grassy area, his little legs carrying him away quicker than anything.

Emma looked mortified and then sorry for him, before she turned her attention back on Glenda.

“That was fucking cruel,” Grayson snarled, shaking his head in anger.

“Relax, he’ll be fine,” Glenda waved him off.

“Why are you like this?!” Grayson pulled back as she reached for him. “You know what, count me out of this afternoon,” he growled as he turned on his heels.

Pleasure flooded through me momentarily as she just opened and closed her mouth as he stormed off, abandoning her.

  Served the little whore right.

“Look what you did!” she spun on me, murder flashing in her eyes.

“Me?” I growled in disbelief. This little princess needed a serious lesson in being a fucking decent person.

“Yeah, you and him,” she said as she flicked her head in the direction Ollie had disappeared.

The rage and hatred was simmering beneath the surface, and I gripped the strap of my laptop bag like a nymphomaniac with her last dildo.

Snarls rose up from her handbag, and she looked down at it in surprise. Her face turned to confusion as the zipper slid open, and I watched in utter delight as the muffin peeked out. The plastic wrapping had torn open, and its little mouth was pulled back into a snarl as it growled at her.

Finally, my fucking power had come in handy.

“What the hell?” Glenda frowned, shooting us questioning looks. Emma just shrugged, but I couldn’t stop the smile from spreading as the muffin launched out of her handbag.

She shrieked as it clamped down on her boob, those strange little muffin teeth gripping on for dear life as she flailed around.

My smile dropped as more growls rose up, and I turned to look at the bin a few feet from me.

Well, things were about to get ultra interesting.

“Oh damn,” Emma snickered as a banana peel climbed out of the bin, soft shrieks escaping it. It was followed by an array of half eaten food items, including some spaghetti, half of a mince pie, and what looked to be a melted snickers bar. Although that last one was questionable.

Glenda screamed as all the food launched at her, snarling and growling as it splattered on her and bit into her. She was just lucky they never had proper teeth.

The icing on the cake was when the snickers bar hurled itself into her cheek, smearing chocolate all across her face and in her hair.

By this point, Emma was barely stifling her laughs, and I decided now was as good a time as any for a quick getaway.

Someone else could deal with this mess. She deserved it.

I gathered up Ollie’s clothes as Glenda shrieked and slapped the attacking food away, crying out for help. People would start showing up soon, and I wanted to be as far away from here as possible.

Emma grabbed Ollie’s laptop bag and phone that had fallen on the ground, waving a glowing green hand over the area to check for anything we’d missed.

Satisfied we had everything, we bolted, laughing and giggling as we bailed on the chaotic scene.

Once we’d reached the front of the University, we pulled up, our laughs having died down as we panted. My sides hurt from the laughter and running, but the smile was still plastered on my face.

“Your magic is the goddamn bomb,” Emma chortled, hugging her waist as she caught her breath.

“Thanks, it does spice things up,” I sniggered, before pulling myself together and sighing.

Emma sobered up as well, pursing her lips as we both scanned the area.

“Where do you think he went?” Emma asked.

“Dunno, but I’ll find him,” I murmured, reaching out with my mind. I could try to sense his magic, but since last night, I felt connected to him, in a similar way to Marcus. Not the full blown history knowledge way, but in a way where I knew where he was if he was nearby, how he was feeling, catching some of his thoughts.

“He’s at the front gates,” I sighed as I sensed him.

“Good, let’s go find him. I’m sure he’d feel better when he finds out what you did,” she chuckled.

“Technically, I didn’t do anything,” I said carefully, grinning widely as she laughed.

“Do you think I will get in trouble?” I managed to say as I drew in a calming breath, a wave of unease washing over me.

“For what? It wasn’t like you cast a spell on her, your magic reacted to her shitty attitude,” Emma snorted.

  “I guess.”

I held Ollie’s clothes to my chest as I eyed the front of the University, scanning up and down the street for any signs of Ollie.

  ‘I’m here.’

I turned to spy him crouched down in the bushes beside the Corviticus University sign.

“Hey, we got your clothes,” I said softly, smiling gently as he slowly crawled out of his hiding place.

‘Did I hear your magic went funny on her?’ Ollie asked as those amber eyes looked up at me, his whiskers quivering as his tail flicked.

“Yeah, her muffin attacked her,” I grinned.

“And everything from in the bin, you should’ve seen that disgusting half-eaten chocolate bar hit her in the face. Best day ever,” Emma giggled.

‘Wish I could’ve seen it,’ Ollie murmured, but I could hear the amusement in his voice. At least he found it funny.

“Want me to carry you home?” I offered, and his ears flattened.

‘I have my own legs,’ he mumbled.

“Okay, was just offering,” I sighed.

“I’ll walk with you guys, saves you trying to carry everything on your own,” Emma said.

“Didn’t you drive today?” I asked. Maybe we could just catch a lift home then.

“Nah, that shitbox is getting serviced today. Mom told me to call her when I was ready to be picked up,” she said as she shifted the weight of Ollie’s bag on her shoulder. She looked a little funny with one bag over each shoulder.

“Maybe Lucas can help you with that relaxation spell again?” I suggested as we began the walk home.

  ‘Maybe.’

We walked slowly to allow Ollie to keep up, his little legs working overtime to keep in step with us. Not to mention the pavement was too hot for his paws, so he was bounding alongside us on the grass.

‘You sure you don’t want me to carry you? I don’t mind, really,’ I asked him mentally as I sensed his fatigue. We were only halfway home.

‘I hate having little legs. And my fur is too long for this stupid heat,’ he panted.

‘If someone shaves you in this state, what will happen to you afterwards?’ I asked.

‘I’d have short hair. Everywhere,’ he said seriously. ‘But I’d just about accept that to cool down right now.’

‘So, yes or no? To carrying?’ I repeated my initial question.

  ‘Fine,’ he muttered.

I paused to bend down and scoop him up in my arms, his mouth open as he drew in deep breaths. His fur was warm to touch, and I felt sorry for him in this hot afternoon sun. I couldn’t wait to be home and in the cool house with a cold milo.

‘This is so pathetic,’ he groaned in my arms, his tail flicking angrily.

“Well, be angry at the little bitch who did this to you,” I growled.

“You should expect a phone call from the University I’d imagine,” Emma sighed. “She’ll make a big deal out of it.”

“Probably,” I agreed, but I’d handle it. She’d had it coming. I just hoped it didn’t affect my studies at all. They wouldn’t kick me out, would they?

Ollie stayed quiet for the rest of the walk, and I imagined it was mostly due to him overheating in the sun.

Hopefully Lucas was home and using magic to cool down the house.

Emma darted up onto the verandah to open the door for us, and we headed into the house. I almost moaned as the cooler atmosphere sucked
the heat out of my body instantly.

“Hey Bee Sting!” Skip called from the living room, and I headed in, still holding Ollie in my arms.

“Ouch,” Skip’s face dropped as he set down the PlayStation controller. “What happened.”

“Glenda happened,” Emma stated as she set Ollie’s bag down on the opposite lounge and slumped into it.

“Fuck I hate her,” Skip growled as I set Ollie down on the floor.

  “Join the club,” I muttered.

‘Apparently Ally’s magic attacked her. Bin food attacked her,’ Ollie said gleefully as he marched over to the lounge and leapt up beside Skip.

“Really?” Skip turned to me, those blue eyes sparkling with mischief.

“Yeah, well, she shouldn’t have been a bitch. I can’t control my magic,” I shrugged as I plopped down beside Emma. I needed to rest my feet for a few moments before I’d get the cold milos.

“At least Grayson got pissy at her too, just ditched her,” Emma said with a grin.

‘Guess he was an arranged partner for her too then, I always wondered,’ Ollie said thoughtfully.

“How anyone could be with that cow is beyond me,” Skip sighed. For once, he was wearing a sleeved shirt. But he still had on the trademark board shorts.

“Is Lucas home?” I asked, glancing towards the doorway to the kitchen.

“Yeah, he got home sometime today,” Skip nodded. “Was seeing his father last night and got caught up.”

“Right,” I murmured. Had he gotten any answers for me?

I smiled as Marcus appeared in the doorway, and then a soft warmth washed over me as he strode over and offered a cold milo to Emma and I. He’d been listening in.

“Hot out there today?” he mused, and we both groaned and nodded. Even Ollie grumbled.

  “Where’s mine?” Skip frowned.

“You’re perfectly capable of getting your own,” Marcus retorted, and Skip muttered under his breath as he stood up.

Skip headed into the kitchen, and Marcus took his place, those icy blue eyes watching me carefully.

“How was your day?” Marcus asked.

I groaned as I informed him of my banning of magic wielding until I got answers to my magic. He was a little annoyed at this, but could understand Miss Watson’s reasoning.

I let my mind reach out, learning that he’d mostly been worrying about this whole being hunted thing for me.

Right. I’d managed to push that to side to help Ollie. Besides, it didn’t seem as big of an issue during the day in a crowded University.

It was at home at night that it got to me the most, as last night had revealed. How would tonight go?

‘I can stay with you if you’d like, I’ll skip my lecture,’ Marcus projected into my thoughts.

‘No, no skipping classes for me. The others are here, I’ll be fine. I should find Lucas, ask about how it went,’ I said as I stood up, my milo in hand. I was using the spoon to eat the chocolate goodness from the top.

“Where you going?” Emma asked from beside me.

“I’m going to find Lucas, I’ll be back,” I said.

“Cool, I might hang around. I texted mom, but she can’t get me for another hour. She’s got some last minute orders to fill to send today,” she said as she slurped her milo.

‘She can hang with us,’ Ollie said as he stretched out on the lounge beside Marcus.

Skip returned, frowning at Marcus for stealing his spot. He grumbled and then realized I was intending to leave. I scooted around him, and he picked up his controller and sat down beside Emma to continue his gaming.

Marcus and Ollie watched after me, and I could feel Marcus’s unease about my new power emerging today.

He wasn’t alone in the worry.

Lucas was hidden in the library, jammed in front of his laptop as he studied. He sat at the old wooden desk off to the side with a computer chair. The chair looked completely out of place in the exquisite library with its filled bookcases right to the ceiling and the plush red lounges and armchairs. The red and gold rugs gave the room a luxurious quality.

And he was using a simple, black, computer chair. One of those cheap ugly ones.

“Hey,” I murmured as I walked over, rousing him from his focus.

“Hey, how was your day?” he asked as he spun in the chair to face me, crossing his legs. He wore a dark maroon suit today with a satin red tie.

“Practiced wielding my magic, ended up bringing out some other magic, so got banned from practicing my magic. Ran into Glenda, which resulted in Ollie shifting. I then got annoyed and the bin food attacked her,” I shrugged as I downed the last of my milo and set the glass on his desk.

He was watching me curiously, amused when I mentioned the Glenda bin thing.

“Sounds like an interesting day. I saw my father last night, no news on that front, he couldn’t offer any help whatsoever,” he scowled. “But I might have another lead. Any news from your aunt?” he asked.

“Nope, I should message her, I know she’s been caught up, and struggling to get ahold of her mom,” I sighed as I leaned against the desk.

“I’d definitely reach out again, they may know something,” Lucas murmured.

I nodded, bummed that his father hadn’t known anything. He was an Area Enforcer, but he knew nothing? Was I really that strange?

  “How’s Ollie?” Lucas asked softly.

“He’s fine, do you think you could try the relaxation thing with him?” I asked, pursing my lips. Thankfully we had tomorrow off, which meant I was doing a six hour shift at work.

“Of course, but I better get the litter tray out just in case,” he sighed.

I just stared at him, wanting to laugh but feeling ultra guilty. I hadn’t even thought about that. Poor thing.

“Emma’s here?” Lucas asked as he played with his pen, a scribbling of notes sitting beside the laptop.

“Yeah, she helped me carry all his stuff home, she’ll be getting picked up in under an hour.”

“I might talk to her then,” Lucas said as he stood up.

I froze as he stood before me, those green eyes glittering with interest.

“How was it?” he asked as he cocked his head.

  “What?”

“Ollie, last night,” he managed a soft smile. A genuinely curious look.

My cheeks blushed as I looked away.

“Well, I’m sure he took care of you, he’s a good one,” Lucas murmured.

My mind shot back to that moment we shared, when he’d kissed me. What was it with these men?

And despite having already been with two of them, they didn’t seem in the slightest bit jealous of one another. Guess that was a bonus for me.

“I never did get to see your room,” I mused, loving how his mouth curved into a cheeky smile.

“Well, you’re more than welcome in there anytime, Cupcake,” he said as he cupped my cheek with one warm, smooth hand.

“Why is it that my mind is so frazzled with all of you guys,” I groaned.

“Because you want us all,” Lucas breathed, those emerald orbs dancing with delight.

“Isn’t that wrong of me?” I murmured, finding it strange that I felt the most comfortable talking about this with him. He was the most open-minded in my opinion.

“Not at all, humans weren’t designed to be monogamous, that’s something they chose. And us supes, we’re just the same,” he murmured, stepping closer so that our lips were only millimeters apart.

“I have no idea how that would even work,” I gasped, quivering as his hand moved to pull out my ponytail and fist in my hair.

“I have a feeling this bunch would allow it,” Lucas purred, brushing his lips fervently against mine.

A spark shot through me and I pulled him closer, demanding to deepen the kiss as I sucked on his bottom lip.

Lucas moaned but pulled back, sighing as his eyes trailed over me.

“We were meant to step back, not try to have you,” he said sadly.

/>   “What?” I frowned.

“An agreement we all made, but I don’t think anyone has stuck to it. You’re too tempting, too good, too… perfect,” he drawled out that last part as he traced my lower lip with his thumb. I wanted to shove his hand aside and claim his mouth once more, but I resisted.

“Why did you guys do that?” I asked.

“We didn’t want to take advantage of you,” Lucas said honestly.

  “You’re not,” I retorted.

“Well, guess there’s no stopping whatever will happen,” he shrugged, giving me that charming smile that dampened my panties.

“What are you hoping will happen?” I asked coyly as I bit my lip.

His magic warding his mind must have worn off, because I caught the explicit scene in his mind of all five of us naked and doing something incredibly naughty.

My eyes just widened in shock, but my body was reacting in some devilish ways. Now that was a wickedly good fantasy.

Was that even possible? How would I even get the four of them to willingly do that?

God damn. Why was I even entertaining the raunchy fantasy?

My face must have changed because Lucas laughed heartily, but then those emerald eyes darkened as he leaned in and kissed me once more.

Having all of them sounded like a damn good deal right now.

“I’m going to talk to Emma, before things get a little too heated in here,” Lucas murmured as he broke our hungry kiss to close his laptop.

I pouted, wanting to pull him back, but then I thought of Ollie.

I flicked my eyes around the room in case he’d wandered in, but thankfully he hadn’t.

“I’ll take Emma home so she’s not waiting around, I’ll text if I’m not back in time for dinner,” Lucas said as his eyes trailed over me longingly.

  Right. Emma. I’d almost forgotten.

Lucas gave me one last lingering kiss before striding out of the room, leaving me wanting and warm.

Ollie couldn’t help me right now, and I really needed to get this dealt with. Maybe Marcus?

‘All you have to do is ask,’ came his smooth, sweet voice. I moaned softly as I felt his interest peak in my mind. He could feel my own, and he was responding to it.

Damn, these bonds were weird as hell.
