Texas: The Lost Boys MC #1 Page 5

by Rylan, Savannah

  He’s not Jett, Ella.

A third knock came at the door, and this time it held a little more panic. It lasted a little longer, and I knew I couldn't keep Texas waiting. So, I took a dishrag and blotted my skin off before answering the door. I slid it open and he came into view, with his tight ass blue jeans and his shirt that left nothing to the imagination regarding his chiseled body.

I looked up into his eyes and that little smirk on his face made me want to melt into the floor. He looked fantastic, and I looked like a damn toad.

“Thought maybe you’d gone to bed,” Texas said.

I stepped off to the side, letting him in. “I’m sorry for the way I’m dressed. And I think I might have over-seasoned the meatballs just a bit. Also, the table isn’t quite set yet. But if you give me a second—”

  “Ella.”

  “Yeah?”

I closed the door softly before I looked back up at him.

“It smells great. And I think you look fine. If you want to go change, I can get the table set. But if you want my personal opinion, I think you’re pulling off the sexy-tousled-mom look just fine.”

That grin grew wider and I blushed. His words also gave me a bit of comfort. I nodded my thanks to him before I slipped past him. I listened to him rummaging around in the kitchen to find the things we needed for dinner. He whistled to himself and the sound trailed down the hallway. Caught my ears as I put on a nicer pair of jeans and a top that fell just barely off my shoulder. I took my hair down and brushed through it, then put some dry shampoo on it so it didn’t look so sweaty.

Then, I made my way back out into the kitchen.

“Keep up those kinds of outfits and your meatballs might go out the window,” Texas said.

I giggled at him and caught the fact that he was flirting. He leaned against the kitchen counter, the table set, and the drinks already set out. I knew he was flirting, but what I didn’t know was whether or not I should flirt back. I was rusty in that area. In fact, Jett always teased me about how my appeal was the fact that I was cute when I was bumbling through flirting. So, I decided against it.

“I guess dinner is served then,” I said softly.

  “Anything for dessert?” Texas asked.

He licked his lips and my knees quaked.

“I mean unless you like two-week old ice cream or popsicles,” I said, grinning.

“Could I put the ice cream on something?”

A shiver worked its way down my back.

“I suppose there’s always cake. I could run out and go get some,” I said.

Texas smiled deviously. “No need. Maybe some other time.”

The two of us sat down at the dinner table and he actually dished me up my plate. He took it from in front of me and put some noodles on it, then was generous with the sauce. He topped it off with three meatballs before handing me over a piece of garlic toast, and I paused.

“Where did that come from?” I asked.

“I whipped it up really quickly while you were changing,” he said.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to forget something like that. Usually I remember—”

  “Ella.”

My eyes whipped up to his, watching him as he filled his plate.

“Stop apologizing. The dinner’s great. Thank you,” he said.

Even though Keva was sleeping, I faced the hallway. I could see her door whenever I leaned over and took a bite. And it was a constant reminder that I had to put her first. I felt guilty for wanting Texas. I felt ashamed of looking him over as much as I did during dinner. Of getting so flustered at his presence. But his words were kind, and I liked that. Having Texas take care of things so I could change was a different sort of thing that I enjoyed. And the way he filled my plate and whipped up some bread at the last minute was a new experience.

I wasn’t sure how to deal with it, honestly.

“This is really good,” Texas said.

“I’m glad you like it. The noodles aren’t too soggy?” I asked.

“Nope. They’re just right. I can tell by the method you used that you were paying attention, too.”

He pointed to the backsplash where the noodles were still stuck. I was horrified. My jaw dropped open and I went to get up, pushing my chair out quickly.

  “I can’t believe I forgot to cle—”

Before I could get past him, he reached out and grabbed my wrist. Texas’ massive, callused hand wrapped around my wrist and stopped me in my tracks. He slowly stood. My eyes connected with his chest, afraid to meet his stare. I’d left the damn noodles attached to the backsplash.

How much of an idiot was I?

“The meatballs are delicious, Ella,” he said.

His voice rumbled. Low. Hot against my ears. My eyes slowly grazed up his form, reveling in how warm his skin was against mine. I looked up into his beautiful eyes and saw a fierceness there. A seriousness. And just a hint of anger. I wasn’t sure what he was angry at, but I prayed it wasn’t me.

I didn’t want him being upset with me, too.

“I suppose I could have made more sauce. I didn’t know you liked that part of the meal the best,” I said softly.

“Your meal was perfect, and don’t you ever doubt that,” he said.

  I paused. “I—”

His hand left my wrist and I wanted to reach back out for his hand. Bring him back to me. But soon, that same hand was on my hip. My eyes darted to Keva’s bedroom door as alarms sounded in my head. They told me to get out. To back away. That I had a daughter to consider and a life I was still getting screwed back straight.

  “You what?” Texas asked.

I looked up into his eyes and held my breath as his stare danced between mine.

“I feel safe with you here,” I whispered.

The way his arm slid around my lower back, though, drew me into him. Drew me into his strength. Into his musky smell. Into the muscles that throbbed underneath his flimsy navy blue shirt.

He pulled me so close to him that I could feel his thick cock pressing against me from beyond his jeans.

“Your dinner, Ella, was perfect,” Texas said again.

I watched his face come toward mind in slow motion. His free hand cupped my cheek, helping me rise my lips to his. His breath was against my skin. His heat encompassed me, holding me in a reassuring warmth that didn’t seem at all intrusive. My hands crept up his torso, my fingers fluttering over his abs before settling onto his chest. His heart beat steadily against my palms. A smooth, strong foundation to my heart that thundered wildly in my chest.

  “Texas,” I whispered.

“I want to taste your dinner on your lips,” he murmured.

The second his lips pressed against mine, my head spun. My hands gripped the fabric of his tight shirt as I pushed up into my tiptoes. Fireworks went off in my head. My lips molded to his perfectly, as if they had been rehearsing ever since the day I met him. Electricity fried my veins. It forced my mind blank as Texas slipped his tongue across the slit of my lips.

I moaned against him when our tongues met, and it only spurred him on to pull me closer.

My arms threaded around his neck. His arms cloaked my back. My head fell off to the side, making room for more of us as my tongue devoured his. My desire for him was hotter than anything I’d ever experienced. And when he groaned down the back of my throat, I shivered. Physically shivered in his grasp.

I knew it was wrong, kissing my brother’s best friend. I knew Texas was off limits.

And apparently, he felt the same.

Before I could really sink my fingertips into the meat of his back, he pulled away. The kiss stopped abruptly, and his arms fell away from my back. He took one step back. And then two. Like I had instantly become a rotten taste in his mouth.

I panted softly as I gazed at his swollen lips.

  “I’m sorry,” Texas said.

My heart sank at those words.

  “It’s okay,” I whispered.

  “I just—I had to kiss
you before the moment was lost.”

The moment. Lost. It was like my mind forgot how to piece the English language together. I stood there, soundless, as my fingertips slowly came up to my lips. They still tingled with him. They were still hot from his insistence. My gut spun around with happiness. My heart leapt for joy. Never did I ever think I’d experience something so beautiful and so tranquil ever again after what Jett did to me.

I must’ve been staring off too long, though, because the sound that ripped me from my trance was my front door.

  Texas had left.

  Without even saying goodbye.

  Eight

  Texas

Holy fuck, I was an absolute idiot. I’d probably have to sleep with a gun under my pillow tonight. And for the rest of the nights I wanted to stay alive. If Ella told her brother what I had done, it was over. Done for. I’d be hunted down, and he’d slay me like all the other men whose lives Stone had taken over the years. As I stepped off Ella’s porch, the door closed behind me. A door I let swing closed in the hopes that no one would speak of what happened. Ever.

And while I knew I should have regretted kissing Ella, I didn’t.

The night air was cool against my skin. The darkness hung heavy over the front yards. The stars were nonexistent due to the clouds and the moonlight that usually coated places like this was nowhere to be found. I was lucky enough to see my damn boots in the grass as I started to cross the lawn.

The patch of land that connected Ella and me.

I still smelled her body spray. I still felt her soft, pillowy lips against my own. That kiss had been intense. My appetite for her hadn’t been satiated, but rather stoked. Fucking hell, Ella felt so good in my arms. Her softness and her warmth, so soothing against my muscles. The weight of the world was on my shoulders even more so now that she wasn’t there against me. Holding her released all of that weight and letting her go brought it all back down.

I wanted to release more with her.

I needed her in that moment. In that second. In that breathless expanse we shared. And although it would never happen again, I was glad I’d kissed her. Even if it meant I’d have to be on the run for the rest of my fucking life. Even if it meant I was driven out of this place and onto the road on my own, I could rest assured that Ella was worth it.

Kissing those perfect lips was worth a lifetime of looking over my shoulder.

I stopped in the grass and looked back. The lights of the kitchen were still on. There wasn’t a bit of movement in any of the windows. No shadows. No curtains fluttering. Nothing to give me the impression that Ella had moved. Fuck, that look on her face was devastating. The way she paused. The way her face fell. The way she went to wipe my damn spit off her lips.

I couldn't stick around to watch her do it. To watch her regret it.

I drew in a deep breath. My cock raged against my pants. Part of me wanted to go back and finish what I had started. Show her the types of pleasures I knew Jett never afforded her. I wanted to go back and kiss that regret away. I wanted to mold that regret into wanton desire to hop in my lap and stake her body on my dick.

I forced myself to turn away from her house and headed for my front door.

It was official. I was totally in lust with Ella. I’d have to relieve myself in the fucking shower before I’d be able to sleep. I stepped up onto my porch and jammed my hand into my pants. I pulled my cock up, hoping it would rest easier in a different position. It ached. Throbbed. Wept to be inside Ella’s beautiful, luscious body. Never in my life had I been so desperate for another woman.

And that kiss was better than anything I could have anticipated.

  “Texas!”

Ella’s voice hit my ears as I went to open my front door. I heard hers being thrown open, slamming against the kitchen counter it swung into. I whipped my eyes up and saw her body—her shadowed form—running across the lawn. My heart stopped in my chest. My cock leapt for joy. I saw her short, thick legs carrying her across the lawn, moving closer and closer toward me.

She panted for air as she stepped onto my porch, her eyes nothing but giant green eyes that pierced through the blackness around us.

She leapt up onto my porch with such fervor that her body slammed into mine. The wall of muscle that was my torso caught her as my arms wrapped around her. Steadying her on her feet as she panted for air. She looked up at me with those beautiful eyes of hers as her hair fluttered around her shoulders.

A breeze had kicked up for the sole purpose of teasing her beauty.

  “Texas,” she breathed.

I swallowed hard. I clung to her, feeling how she pressed into me instead of pulling away. Her hands slid back up to my chest, like they had with the kiss. My stomach rumbled for more of her. My veins widened as blood rushed quickly through my body. My fingertips curled into the small of her back as the softest flush overtook her cheeks.

The clouds had parted, blanketing her in a soft moonlight that made me swallow a groan.

  “Everything okay?” I asked.

Ella panted, despite the fact that she had stopped running. Despite the fact that she rested in my arms. There was a need in her eyes that reflected a hunger I knew all too well. And the more I looked down at her, the more it grew. It didn’t dissipate. It didn’t hide itself. It was on full display, and it made me lick my lips. I was hungry for more of her. Hungry for her curves and the dessert between her thighs.

My cock pulsed, and by the grin that spread across her face, I knew she felt it.

“Why did you leave?” Ella asked.

Her words were the only thing holding me back. The only thing keeping me from jumping off the edge of the shoreline and into a deep, black, murky lake that held nothing but my own death.

  “Ella—”

“No, Texas. Please. Answer the question,” she begged.

My hands pressed deeper into the small of her back. She stepped closer to me, her hands softly gripping the fabric of my shirt.

“Tell me to go away,” I said.

  Her brow furrowed. “What?”

My voice filled with a thick need as the plea of the part of my soul that wanted to live took over.

“Tell me to go away, and I will. But damn it, Ella, if you chase after me—if I stay…”

I drew in a deep breath through my nose as she stood on her tiptoes.

“What if you stay?” she whispered.

A growl burst in the back of my throat, filling my body with a desire I was no longer able to hold back.

“If I stay, I’m staying all night,” I murmured.

With those words, she tugged on my shirt. Our bodies collided and our lips crashed, launching us into a point of no return. She threw herself at me, wrapping her arms around me so tightly Her engorged nipples pressed into my chest. She wrapped her legs around me as I walked forward. I pressed her into the beam of my porch and rested her there. I ground into her. Felt the heat of her pussy falling around my pelvis as her hands raked through my hair. Tugged at my shirt.

Ripped it off my back so she could feel my muscles.

I growled down her throat as I caught my shirt in my hand. I wrapped myself around her, peeling her from the railing and starting off my porch. The sounds of our kisses filled the space around us as I walked across the lawn. Back to her porch. Inside her house, before I closed the front door with my foot.

“Down the hallway. Now,” Ella whispered.

And I heard the unspoken words in her voice.

  Be quick about it.

I set her down onto her feet in the hallway and she took my hand, pulling me toward her bedroom. Toward a different sort of darkness. We barely crossed the threshold before our clothes came off. Her shirt in my hands. My belt in her palm. I toed off my boots while she took off her socks, and then she fell to her knees in front of me. I closed her bedroom door behind us and locked it. I braced my back against the door as she ripped my jeans down my legs. When her nose nuzzled against my clothed cock, I groaned. My legs locked up a
s her fingertips pulled my boxers down over my pulsing girth.

But when she wrapped her lips around it, I almost shot through the roof.

  “Holy fuck,” I grunted.

My hand twisted into the tendrils of her hair. She took me back as far as she could before her soft hand wrapped around my base. She moaned around my dripping length. Lapped at my tip before she audibly swallowed me down. I looked down at her. Gazed into her glorious stare.

  “Mmmm,” she hummed.

My toes curled into the carpet as she bobbed her head.

Her mouth was so tight. So hot. So perfect. Her spit dripped over her hand as she pumped me rhythmically, the wetness coating my balls. I fucked her face. I gripped her hair and slid those swelling lips over my girth. The vein underneath my cock throbbed against her tongue, seeking an end that would come all too soon with the attention she paid my dick.

  “Ella. Fuck. Oh, sh—”

Her tongue traced that vein and I almost popped. I tugged on her hair, pulling her off her knees before I came down her throat. I didn’t want it to end that soon. I wanted to taste her before I sought any end of my own. When our lips collided, she melted into me. Her soft skin against mine for the first time made the animal within me pop.

I ripped whatever clothes she still had on her body off, the seams shredding and the thread popping as her body revealed itself to me.

I fisted her ass cheeks and picked her up. I tasted my precum on her lips as I strode over to the bed. I tossed her onto it, watching her curves bounce up and down for me. She had the most perfect set of tits I’d ever seen. Perfect teardrops that bounced against her skin. Engorged pink nipples that called to my tongue. I didn’t know where to begin my journey. I didn’t know what I wanted to mark and kiss first. But when her legs spread open to accommodate me, I knew exactly where I wanted to be.

So, I dropped to my knees, tugged her to the edge of the bed, and dove into the wetness of her perfect little pussy.
