by A. J. Wynter

Jessica had her hand on his cock under the table and was trying her best to excite him. When her touch wasn’t working, she let out a little huff, made a pouty face at him and dramatically placed her hand back on the table.

"What's wrong with you? You are, like, acting all distracted." Jessica asked, peevishly.

"I was just thinking about my new assistant.” He replied absentmindedly.

Madison set down her fork and cleared her throat, but she knew better than to say anything catty.

Johnathan picked up on the cat claws though. “Easy now, no need for jealousy, I’m just concerned about whether or not she’ll be able to keep up with the work load," he lied.

He had no doubt that she was smart as a whip, he was concerned about her working in such a fucked up environment. He popped a piece of baguette into his mouth while he waited for his steak.

"You mean that mousey little brunette who needs to go on a diet?" Jessica didn’t have quite the tact of Madison. "Well, let’s just hope that her 'assistanting' skills are better than her horrible 'outfit choosing' skills."

"There was nothing wrong with her outfit." Jonathan said, not knowing why he felt the need to defend Sienna. "And she’s not mousey, that particular hair color is called brunette."

"You hate brunettes. And since when have you been attracted to chubby girls?" Madison snipped. "You've never hired a brunette in the entire time I've known you, and I've worked here for years."

"I don't hate brunettes." Jonathan said.

In order to change the conversation, he winked and ran his fingers along the edge of Madison’s low cut silk shirt. "I like curves."

"Oh, you're doing her a favor. I get it." Madison said, relaxing in her seat. “Why don’t you let me come over tonight and help you forget all of this work drama? I will show you a very, very, good time” she said as she licked the dressing off of the tip of her fork.

"I bet you would." Jonathan said, leaning forward, thankful to not have to defend Sienna any further.

"Hey, I can help too." Jessica said, nudging Madison. "Share him please, don't hog all the good stuff." She pleaded in a baby girl voice.

"Don't worry girls, there's plenty of me to go around tonight." He said grinning at them as the waiter finally came with his steak.

He only ate half of his meal. Something was up with his appetite. He found that he was repulsed by the way the two girls judged someone that they didn’t even know.

When he finished his lunch, he went back to the office after letting the two girls paw at him in the town car. They took turns sucking his cock, but as much as he wanted to, he couldn’t come. What was wrong with him? This had never been a problem.

He realized that he was thinking about Sienna the whole time. Was it guilt? It couldn’t be attraction. He had the city’s most attractive girls fawning and falling all over him. He needed to figure this out. For his sake, and the sake of his cock.

As he walked back into his office he couldn’t help but stop at the storage room to see Sienna. Her back was to him and she was deep in thought. He paused at the doorway and watched her work. She was methodic and efficient. She had taken off her shoes and was padding in between the filing cabinets in her stocking feet humming. Her hair was piled on her head in a heaping mess. She looked beautiful.

She bent over to pull some files from a low drawer and he felt his cock rise stiff against his pants as he watched her full ass fill out her skirt. Unnerved by his reaction he turned to leave, tripping over a pile of files that had been stacked by the door.

  Sienna turned, startled.

“Geez, are you ok?” she hastened over to help him up.

“I’m fine” he said, shaking off her attempt to help him. “Who the hell left this pile of files here?”

“I did” she said, her eyes lowered to the ground.

He felt contrition rising within him. She was working hard and he had not been paying attention. His ego was hurt and his immediate reaction was to be an asshole. However, he looked at Sienna frantically cleaning up the slew of jumbled paperwork and something in him shifted. Instead of yelling at her, he tossed his tie over his shoulder and bent down to help her pick up the papers.

She turned, met his eyes, and inhaled his scent. The same scent from the jacket, but today it smelled good. She felt her face go red. What was wrong with her? Was she a masochist? Why was she feeling this urge to lean in and kiss the lips of the man who had once treated her so badly?

"Are you almost finished?" Jonathan asked.

"I’ve put a dent in it."

He handed her a stack of files and lingered close to her body and watched while she juggled them against her full, soft, supple, milky gorgeous breasts. Definitely real, he thought to himself and he stepped back hoping to god his giant boner wasn’t visibly apparent.

"Good, it needs to be done by Friday. I have a business meeting next week and I'd like to be able to develop a presentation over the weekend using the data from the files." Jonathan told her, backing out of the room holding his briefcase, like a shield, in front of him.

Who was this bumbling idiot? he abraided himself. He was like James Bond with women. Why was Sienna having such an effect on him?

"I would like to talk to your IT developers. I’ve put together a list of suggestions that I think will help maximize the value of all of this information. It will just depend on how we design the new database”.

  “Of course.” He replied.

She turned and continued to work.

“Amazing” he whispered under his breath.

"What?" Sienna turned back to face him.

“Oh, nothing. I just remembered I have to call Mr. Hamazing back about a deal.”

Sienna smiled at Johnathan and he felt his heart race. He stepped forward and swept a stray strand of hair from Sienna’s face behind her ear.

"Have dinner with me on Wednesday."

  Sienna hesitated.

“We need to plan the Christmas party. It’s a work-related dinner.”

"I would, but I have the feeling I’m going to be burning the midnight oil here trying to get all of this done by Friday." Sienna gestured to the piles of files.

“Let me get a couple of the girls to stay late to help you out.”

“If it’s all the same to you, I’d rather do it alone than with any of your other ‘assistants’. I actually think that they would make it take longer.”

Johnathan sighed. She was right. These girls weren’t good for much more than looking good.

“How about I help you then?”

“Seriously? That seems like a billion degrees below your pay grade.”

“This is my company and it needs to get done. Perhaps this is my penance for not hiring any competent assistants.”

  “Are you sure?”

“Yes, I’m sure. We can order in food, turn up the music, and get this place out of the paper dark ages”

Sienna hesitated. Why was she reluctant to be alone with him? She needed to put on her professional hat and ignore the strange feelings rising up in her belly.

“Ok. Let’s do it. I’ll be here tonight if you want to start today.”

“Can you cancel my evening appointments for me and order in some food?”

“Sure. What would you like to eat?” She whipped out a notepad and pulled a pen out of the mess of her hair.

  “You pick.”

“Is pizza ok?” Sienna blurted out without even thinking. Shit. Pizza. She should’ve picked something healthy.

“That’s fine with me.” Johnathan replied and turned to hide the smile on his face.

Sienna watched him turn and stride back out the door, jingle bell rock blaring from the reception area. Was that damn song on repeat? She wondered.

She felt like she was betraying her teenage self. She had finally identified that it was lust that she was feeling towards Johnathan, it wasn’t fear. There was no way a feminist like herself should allow herself to be attracted to such a narcissistic man. B
ut, she was. The wetness in her panties didn’t lie.

  Chapter 7

Sienna sat cross legged on the floor with mounds of paper around her. She devoured her third piece of pizza and was enjoying the cabernet that Johnathan had brought with him.

  “Mr. Wise”

“MMhmmm” he responded as he rounded the corner juggling piles of files.

  “Something isn’t adding up here.”

  “What do you mean?”

“Take a look at these invoices,” she said as she handed him a stack of papers from the Swedish company, Burgden.

“What am I looking at here?” he questioned.

  “Each invoice has been reprinted.”

“That’s a bit odd, but I don’t see any red flags.”

“I cross referenced the bank statements, as well as the receipts from the company. They were all over the place, almost a little too haphazardly filed, as if someone was purposely making it difficult to do any checking up. So, take a look at this bank statement. It’s dated 4 days before the invoice re-print.”

“Why does the bank statement not jive?” He looked perplexed.

  “Mr. Wise.”

  “Johnathan.” He interrupted.

“Johnathan.” She sighed. “One of your bimbos has been stealing from you. One of those girls out there deserves an Oscar for her nitwit performance.”

  “I’ll be damned,” he stammered.

“It was a pretty solid con. From what I’ve found, whoever it was has defrauded the company out of over 100,000 just this year alone.” Sienna said with more than a touch of admiration in her voice. “If we hadn’t started to put all of this paperwork together, who knows how much longer she would have continued.

“How do we figure out who it is?”

“Well, that’s easy enough. We just need to have one of your IT guys track who was logged into the computer that did the invoice reprints.”

“Holy fuck.” Johnathan muttered and shook his face in his hands. “What have I done? On one hand, these girls have ruined my company with gross incompetence, and on the other, one has ruined it by playing me.”

“Your company isn’t ruined. I’ve seen many a company come back from bigger setbacks than this.”

Johnathan had pulled out his phone and vigorously typed a message to his head IT guy.

“I’ll have the whole department on it. We need to figure out who this is and then call the police. An investigation will really put a damper on the holiday season though.”

“The police may have to catch this girl in action, so it’s probably best if we continue on with the holiday planning as if nothing is wrong.”

Johnathan set down his mug of wine and swiveled to face Sienna. She could feel the heat from his knee against hers. Please don’t let him feel me trembling. She thought to herself as she held his gaze.

“You are amazing.” He said and placed his hand on her knee. She felt his warmth travel through her body and she could feel her face heating up. She turned her head down to try to hide her blush when she felt his hand raise her chin up.

“I mean it Sienna, hold your head high. There’s not a lot of women in this world like you.”

Jonathan leaned in and she mirrored his action. Instead of kissing her though, he held his face against hers, cheek to cheek. She inhaled deeply and could smell him, musk and leather. He smelled just like his jacket, only a million times better. They stayed with their faces pressed together until he pulled away, and confusingly, she swore that she saw his eyes glistening with tears.

“Well, we have a party to plan.” she whispered to him.

“Right, right.” He said and turned away from her. She could see him nonchalantly bring his fingers to his eyes to try to mask the tears.

“Let’s make it a fucking banger!” his voice quivered, but then grew in strength. “I want this to go down in history as the best party this company has ever had. Let’s get Siegfried and Roy’s fucking tigers. But not the one that bites, obviously. Go through my phone and any celebrity you see, invite them! I’m picturing ice sculptures, top DJs, the best catering in the city, go-go dancers…” he rambled.

“Johnathan. You just found out someone has defrauded the company for at least $100,000 just this year. Perhaps we should just strive to have a typical office party. You know, with a karaoke machine and appetizers on toothpicks.”

“I supposed you’re right.” he chuckled. “But when we find this fraudster, you and I are celebrating to the tune of…well, a fuck-ton.”

“So eloquent” Sienna laughed, relaxing for the first time in his presence.

“I’m going to head out now, please be sure to follow up with the police tomorrow and give me an update. What’s my schedule look like tomorrow?”

Sienna pulled out her phone and scanned his appointment calendar.

“You’re in meetings with Mr. O’Connor in the morning and have a three hour lunch blocked, then a conference call with Tokyo.”

“Cancel that lunch and move up the conference call, that way we can start working on this stuff a little earlier tomorrow.”

  “Got it.” Sienna responded.

There are going to be some disappointed girls without lunch plans tomorrow, she thought to herself.

Johnathan had his hand on the doorknob to leave, when he turned.

“And let’s get sushi tomorrow night.”

  “Roger that boss”

Sienna smiled and stood up off the floor.

He opened the door and then closed it again, hesitating. Sienna stood there, her heart racing, wondering what he was thinking.

He turned and walked briskly to her, wrapping his one arm around her waist and pulling her towards him. He ran his other hand behind her neck and up into her hair. Sienna, gasped and thought her heart was going to explode. He leaned in and kissed her on the lips gently.

She was shocked at first, but once his lips met hers, she responded out of instinct. She wrapped her hand around his neck and kissed him back and gently bit his lower lip. This seemed to set something off in him, making him ravenous for her. His grip behind her neck strengthened and he kissed her hard, thrusting his tongue into her mouth. She tipped her head back and he kissed her along her collarbone, the kisses moving up her neck. He took her earlobe in his mouth and sucked, Sienna quivered and her legs became weak. She raised her head and met his lips once again.

They pulled apart and looked at each other, both a little stunned. Then he jerked his hands away from her body and held them up like he was in a stickup. Without a word, he turned on his heel and swiftly left the room.

Sienna had been shocked by the kiss; and now his Usain Bolt style exit added confusion to the shock. She sunk down to the floor. Maybe he had felt her muffin top and was disgusted? Maybe her breath still smelled like the copious amounts of pepperoni she had just ingested? She sighed and gathered up the papers around her.

  Chapter 8

Sienna’s boots crunched through the snow as she rushed through the busy city streets dodging early morning shoppers with arms full of parcels. Who possibly has time to shop in the morning? She wondered.

When she heard the recognizable bells of the Salvation Army ringing, she dug her gloved hand into her pocket and fished out a ten-dollar bill to toss into his kettle. The kettle minder nodded in thanks and she buried her face deep into her scarf against the wind and continued on her way.

Once at her desk she found a note:

  Sienna,

I’ll be taking my conference call from home this afternoon. It could run long so I might not make it tonight to help with the organization. Please call the police and give them my direct number so we can discuss investigation.

  J. Wise

Her heart sank, but then she told herself that she was being ridiculous. He was a busy man who had more pressing things to do than to organize files all night.

Although on Wednesday she found a similar note.

Thursday’s note told her to take the lead with the Christmas
party and not to worry about the investigation; he was in touch with one of the fraud detectives. She could explain away one night, but three in a row. He was definitely avoiding her.

She finalized the caterer and venue for the party and then shuffled off to the storage room. If she worked late tonight she should be able to have everything ready for the digitization process tomorrow.

Screw him, Sienna thought after hours of letting her anger simmer. She shoved the last file in place and slammed the drawer shut with an authoritative finality. Silver Bells blared out of the sound system. When had the hits radio station switched into Christmas Carol mode?

She looked at her watch, 1 a.m., that explained it – they changed over at midnight. She was so engrossed in her work that she hadn’t even noticed the festive tunes.

Even though she tried not to think about him, her mind kept racing. Johnathan was an asshole as a teenager, and he certainly hadn’t improved with age. She didn’t need him then, and she definitely didn’t need him now. Well, technically, she needed his signature on the paycheck, but that’s about it. She was good at her job and had saved his company, but he hadn’t bothered acknowledging her existence since that kiss.

She gathered up her coat and bent over to tie up her boots when someone tapped her on her shoulder. She screamed and tossed her coat in the general direction of the tapper.

“Easy, easy, it’s just me.” Johnathan’s silky voice called out.

“Holy hell. You’re lucky that I don’t carry a gun, you fucker! You scared me half to death,” she paused to catch her breath.
