If Kelli has learned one thing over the years, it would be that desires rule your life—aversion has no place if you truly want to be happy. And she was all about getting what she wanted.

It all started on a rather hot, summer day when her husband, Nick, decided they needed to rent a room out in their house in order to make ends meet. Kel knew it was the only way they could continue to afford their lovely home. Still, deep down, she'd always hated the idea—at least until Ava walked through their door.

After several grueling tenant interviews, they finally rented the room to the sexy, long-legged blonde, causing Kelli to reassess what she really wanted.

If I’ve learned one thing over the years, it would be that desires rule your life. Aversion has no place if you truly want to be happy. And I was all about getting what I wanted.

It all started on a rather hot summer day. My husband and I decided we needed to rent out a room in our house to someone in order to make ends meet. I was initially opposed to the idea, because I would have to give up my little reading nook I spent countless hours in to escape reality.

It was either lose the nook or lose the house—and I’d be damned if I lost my dream home.

After interviewing the sixth loser that responded to our ad, I was about to throw in the towel. I was not willing to share our home with some punk off the streets who thought a bar of soap was a luxury, thankyouverymuch.

“Don’t worry. We’ll find someone perfect,” Nick said, patting my hand and trying to console my nerves as the sixth person climbed in his beat-up car and puttered away, leaving a string of exhaust fumes in his wake. I just rolled my eyes at Nick’s optimism.

It’s not that I’m against a young person trying to save a few dollars and make their way in this world, and I especially didn’t mind someone who had to scrimp on the luxuries to afford necessities, but I didn’t want my home destroyed by a band of punks all because we were hard up.

The last interview of the day was due to arrive any moment and I was actually nervous at the possibility that this would be another hell-no situation.

I heard the motorcycle before I saw it pull into the driveway through our living room window. Confused, I glanced down at our notepad that had the name Ava Janks scrawled in my husband’s messy handwriting. Surely he got the name wrong.

At the same moment I was going to ask him about the discrepancy, I saw the rider climb from the machine. Tight black pants hugged a pair of sleek, long legs and were accented with… heels? Yes. This rider was wearing a pair of leather, spike heels.

Just as I was convinced we were about to interview a cross-dresser and this nightmare would never end, the helmet came off.

Straight, blonde hair fell like a stage curtain around her leather jacket, landing just above her ass in those tight pants. After setting her helmet down on the seat of her motorcycle, she bent over quickly, flipping her hair down and back up as if to naturally fix the helmet head.

Okay, at this point I had to admit to being a very judgmental person. I not only judged the sex of our interviewee based on the vehicle she drove, but I also speculated that I liked her already, solely because of her badass ride and rocking body.

“Holy shit,” I heard Nick whisper as he sat and watched the same scene I did.

“Um, yeah. Holy shit is right. You might want to pick your jaw up off the floor before she gets in here,” I said as I stood up to make my way to the door.

Just before I began to walk away, he grabbed my wrist and stopped me. “Kel, wait. I don’t want some chick in this house that’s going to make you jealous for no reason. We don’t need that kind of stress.”

“Don’t be ridiculous, Nick. I am not the jealous type and you know it,” I affirmed as I shrugged out of his hold and went to answer the already ringing doorbell and thought, Not unless he gives me something to be jealous about.

As soon as I opened the door, a huge smile and bright blue eyes nearly blinded me. She was definitely a knockout and maybe Nick had a point.

“Hello there. My name is Ava. Is Nick here?” she asked as she tried to peer around me into the house.

“Yes, I’m Nick’s wife, Kelli,” I said as I offered her my hand. She had a firm, confident handshake as she looked me up and down—her satisfaction was made obvious by her smile. “Please, come in.”

Stepping inside, she looked around the large foyer area before saying in a near whisper, “Wow. What a beautiful house!”

“Thank you. It is definitely our dream home and we’re just looking for the right person to share it with.” Well, that came out a little strange, but it was true.

Without instructing her to do so, she immediately made her way into the living room where Nick was camping his ass on the couch. As we entered, he stood and held his hand out to greet our guest.

“Ava! So nice to put a face with the name. We’re very happy you were able to make it out on such short notice,” Nick schmoozed while grinning a little too broadly.

“Oh, please,” she said with a wave of her hand. “I’m just thankful the opportunity was still available. I should be thanking you.”

Interviewing Ava was like meeting with an old friend. All three of us naturally bonded and we offered her the room immediately. Upon showing her which room would be hers, she asked if it was okay for me to keep all the books and bookshelves exactly where they were so she could read them. I wanted to tackle-hug her for that alone because that meant I wouldn’t have to put my beloved library collection in boxes.

As I watched her mount her motorcycle and drive away, I said out loud, “That is so bad ass!”

“I know, right?” Nick chimed, approaching me from behind and making me jump a little.

I turned so I was facing him and draped my arms around his shoulders. “You like her, don’t you?” My words came out more as a statement instead of the question it was meant to be.

“Well, yeah… I mean, what’s there not to like? She looks responsible and is very friendly…” he stuttered.

I just laughed as I patted him on the cheek lightly, assuring him it was okay to like another chick. “Nick likes a girl. How sweet,” I teased, hoping it would lighten the mood a little.

  “What? No… I… well…”

“Shh. It’s okay. I think that girl would even have chicks crushing after her—with her perfect teeth making that perfect smile. She really does have a way with words, too,” I said as I stood on my tiptoes and inched my way closer to his mouth.

Just as our mouths were about to touch, his eyes got really wide and he let out a bell
owing laugh. “Ha! Kelli has her first girl crush! And here you are picking on me!” He continued to laugh as he backed away and pointed at me—bending at the waist and making an overly dramatized slapping-of-the-knee gesture.

Was he right? Was it a girl crush? Or was I just happy to find someone I could feel so comfortable with to share our home?

The first thing that flashed through my mind was the way her ass looked in those tight pants as she drove away on her motorcycle. Well, fuck me sideways—I do have a girl crush.

A flush immediately overtook my face. Hell, I could feel the tomato-red complexion overtaking my entire body as embarrassment rendered me speechless. Nick stopped his hysterical laughing, wiped a tear from his eye, and immediately became serious.

“Really? I’m right?” he questioned. “I mean, I was just joking.”

To save my pride, a slow smile crept up my face before suddenly letting out a burst of laughter that mimicked his previous eruption. “Gotcha!” I hollered as I pointed and pretended to fake my initial embarrassment.

“Yeah, I don’t buy it,” he said with a shake of his head.

“I like her, Nick. I’m so glad we’ve found someone that seems genuinely perfect for a roommate,” I admitted as I stood in front of him, nervous about what he thought of me—a definite first since the day we said I do.

“Yeah, me too,” he agreed. “Plus, I’m thankful I don’t have to carry all those damn books out to the garage.”

I hugged him tight as I buried my face against his chest and murmured, “My books would have kicked you out of our room before they would have gone in the garage.”

Ava came over the next day and butterflies filled my stomach with just the thought of being around her. I have no clue what came over me. It was as if my nerves were possessed with the jitters each time she laughed. Could it be that I was just nervous we had found the perfect tenant and she might not work out? Or was a woman really affecting me this way?

After signing the lease, we took time to talk and get to know each other. I found out Ava’s father owned a motorcycle shop just before he passed away a few years ago. She was a bit reluctant to talk about family, so I didn’t push her. From what it sounded like, she was completely on her own—something I admire in a strong, independent woman, while wondering what got her to that point in her life.

“Is it okay if I start moving in right away?” Ava asked as I walked her to the door.

Barely able to contain my excitement, I just stood there with a stupid grin on my face—obviously suffering some form of brain malfunction that controls speech.

“I know my lease doesn’t technically start until next week, but I just can’t wait to get out of that rat hole I live in right now. Of course, if you would rather I wait, I understand,” she continued, obviously thinking my silence was evidence of my disapproval instead of lack of brain cells.

Finally overcoming my speech impediment, I said, “Of course you can move in right away! I for one can’t wait for you to.” With fumbling fingers, I reached into the bowl sitting by the front door and handed her our spare key.

Her face lit up like it was Christmas as she bounced lightly and exclaimed, “Oh, thank you! I’ll rent the truck tomorrow and get started right away! I can’t wait!”

Right as Ava mentioned the truck rental, Nick walked through the door and stopped in his tracks.

“Wait. Is the bike your only vehicle?” he asked as he hung his man-purse on the hook and threw his keys in the bowl with a clank.

Ava looked a bit embarrassed as she answered, “Well, yeah. It’s the only thing I can afford right now. My dad left it to me and…”

“I didn’t mean it like that, sorry,” Nick backpedaled. “I just meant, we have a truck so you don’t have to spend money on renting one. Think your furniture will fit in the small bed of our pickup?” he asked as he pointed his thumb behind his shoulder in the direction of our front door.

“Really? You guys wouldn’t mind?” Ava asked, stunned that anyone would offer such a favor. “You have no idea how much that would help! Thank you!” Before she even got the words out of her mouth, she was leaping toward Nick and tackling him in a bear hug.

Nick chuckled as he looked at me through her fountain of hair. He awkwardly patted her on the shoulder as she pulled away.

“No problem at all. Tomorrow is Saturday and I would love any excuse that gets me out of doing yard work,” he said as he rubbed the back of his neck. He always did that when he was nervous about something. “So, what time will you be ready tomorrow? Ten in the morning sound okay?”

“That sounds perfect,” Ava approved as she turned and bounced out the door like a kid on their way to the circus.

As soon as the door shut, Nick turned to me with an apologetic look on his face.

“I’m sorry, Kel. I should have asked you first. You okay with this?”

“I’m more than okay with it, Nick. It was very sweet of you to offer,” I assured him as I hugged his torso and smiled up at his gorgeous face.

  *****

Ava moved in the next day.

While Nick helped grab a load from her old apartment, I spent time moving some furniture around and getting her room ready. She didn’t seem to have much, so it really didn’t take long to get her settled.

Nerves seemed to overtake me throughout the next few weeks. I couldn’t stop thinking about her. I also couldn’t help but wonder if she would like it here.

She was only two years younger than me and we had a blast learning how much we had in common. I looked forward to seeing her smiling face every day and each moment I got to spend with both Ava and Nick together was pure bliss.

As I lay in bed thinking about my new best friend and my man, Nick’s voice interrupted my thoughts.

“Hey, babe. You okay?” he asked as he inched closer to my back and wrapped his arm around my waist.

“Yep. Just peachy,” I answered. My response came out sounding sarcastic when I was really being honest. Just because my mind was running a mile a minute didn’t mean there was something wrong.

“What are you thinking so hard about then?”

“I thought only girls asked what the guy was thinking, not the other way around,” I retorted with a chuckle.

“You’re deflecting,” he whispered in my ear. “Just tell me what’s up.”

Should I tell him what’s really been on my mind? He might think I’m totally nuts!

“Promise you won’t think I’m weird?” I asked, partially joking, but mostly disguising my truth with laughter. I should’ve just blurted it out. If he hated the idea, he would’ve let me know, right?

“Seriously, Kelli. Out with it,” he demanded as he backed away from me and propped himself up on his elbow.

Turning to face him, I bit my lip, frustrated with myself that I couldn’t just tell him what I had been thinking of since Ava moved in. As soon as I thought the words would spill from my mouth, I grabbed the back of his neck and kissed him—hard. Plunging my tongue into his mouth and pushing my body into his, I made it very clear exactly what I wanted at that very moment.

A primal groan shook his chest as I pushed against him, forcing him to lie flat on his back so I could take the chance to hop on pop. My auburn hair fell like waves around his face, causing him to push the strands over one of my shoulders and clear a path to my neck as he devoured my sensitive skin with his delicious scruff.

“Tell me,” Nick mumbled against my jaw.

“I want her,” I blurted out as the thickness of his passion pumped through my veins. I could feel his cock twitch through the silk panties I wore as he pulled away from me with a look of pure shock on his face.

“What do you… you mean, Ava?” he whispered while he held both my arms in an attempt to keep me in place.

I just nodded, unable to speak with him looking at me that way.

“Okay. What do you want from her, Kel?” he asked as he let go of my arms and rested his hands on my
thighs.

I just sat on top of him, staring, wondering exactly what I should say. I just decided to forget all the nonsense and tell him.

“I know I want to kiss those lips of hers—taste her. I want to feel what it’s like to have my naked body pressed up against her soft skin,” I admitted. “I want to see what she looks like when she comes. I especially want to see what it looks like when you make her come, Nick.”

He just sat there, his expression unchanged, as he listened to me pour my newest desires out of my quivering lips. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath before continuing.

“I want to watch her lips wrap around your dick. I want to feel what it’s like to have her lips teasing my nipples. I can’t explain why I feel this way about her when I’ve never felt like this about a chick before, but… she captivates me. I feel like I’m dating all over again. It’s such a thrilling, yet torturous, feeling that’s totally confusing my mind and making my body practically ache for her.”

Nick still sat there looking at me as if I hadn’t just spilled the beans about my lady lust.

“Say something, damn it!” I scolded as I pushed him in the chest to hopefully jog him out of his trance.

  “Wow,” he whispered.

“That’s all you’re going to say? Wow?” I dramatized as I rolled my eyes at him. Typical man.

“Yeah. Wow. I mean, I knew you had a girlie crush on her, but I had no idea it was sexual,” he finally said.

“You think I’m totally nuts for even thinking this, huh?”

“No, not at all. I’m a bit relieved, actually,” he admitted.

  “Why relieved?”

“Because. Seeing the two of you together gives me all kinds of wet dreams. Christ, you both are absolutely stunning women and, together, you two just seem to… click,” Nick explained.

“You do know there’s absolutely no way I could act upon my little lust fest, right? I’d completely ruin what I have with her. Regardless of how much I want her, I can’t even fathom approaching her about how I feel,” I said in defense, knowing full well he would want me to pursue this kinky new avenue.
