  Miranda was among that first group. She had officially been diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome three months after she first saw Doctor Jacobs. By the time that summer rolled around she was making great strides. Unexpectedly, she insisted on staying with the other kids in the dormitory rather than at the new, large family home that Russell and Emily had built where the old bunk house once stood.
