“Wow, Hybrid must have been planning something major. Me, George, and Angel must have been real threats if they were forced to use a missile to cover their tracks.” She says in amazement to how far Hybrid would go to expand their sick empire.
She looks for a chopper from the window and sees one. The chopper is destroyed however and she’s in disbelief in what she just seen. She pages Danny.
“Hey Danny…” She says.
“What’s up?” He asks.
“I’m afraid… I have… bad news.” She answers.
“What is it? I’m almost at the heliport.” He asks another question.
“You’ll see for yourself…” She replies soberly.
Danny sees the wrecked chopper and is shocked as well.
“It can’t be, don’t tell me this was out ride out of here.” He says still in shock.
“Unless we get a miracle, we’re going to die here and Hybrid has won… I can’t believe… those bastards just got… just got away with genocide…” She begins to cry.
“No! I’m not giving up and neither should you. I’m sure Angel would not want you to give up so easily. I know the situation looks dire, but I’m sure there will be someone looking for you. Besides I don’t want to die in a hell hole like this! I’m sure you have many friends here that care about you. I’ll go look for a flare to signal where we are, you just need to get down here!” Danny tries to instill positive vibes into Maria.
“Ok, I’ll trust you on this one.” She replies happily.
“Hey, before you head down pick up that radar tracker.” He tells her.
“What is it for?” She asks.
“It’s to show you how close the missile is from hitting the area. Think of it as your watch, make sure you grab it. Otherwise you will be unable to track how much time you exactly have.” He tells her what the device is for.
The signal cuts off out of nowhere. The building shakes again and an automated message goes off.
“Warning missile attack confirmed! Warning missile attack confirmed! The highest emergency level has been declared. All personnel evacuate immediately!”
After the message finished, the door to the elevator locks. However, the panel leading down opens and she heads down the ladder.
When she gets down she is in a hallway that is filled with zombies. She decides to use her pistol to clear the hallway and continues running.
Pistol Ammo: 73
Then she sees a blip on the radar tracker. The blip is a red dot on the radar and the middle represents the city of New York. Then she looks at the numbers on the tracker.
Missile is 105 miles away from the city of NY.
Missile is moving at a speed of 100 MPH.
Using that information, she realizes that she only has an hour to escape her hometown. So she rushes towards the door and finds herself in another hallway. The hallway is filled with many dead bodies. There’s a picture of what looks like a cannon.
“This is our secret cannon that uses high voltage energy should any of the B.O.W’s become out of control. We have only run one test of this weapon and it wasn’t entirely successful. As a result, we’re not sure how this puppy will do should we actually need it.
Hopefully we won’t need it…”
She sees a metal double door and hits the switch next to it to open the door. As she enters, she finds herself in the room with the experimental cannon. A map next to her indicates that the helipad is just beyond the door on the other side. However, the shaking of the building causes the door behind her to be damaged beyond prepared. She tries to open the door with the switch with no success.
She heads to the door leading to the helipad, but the door has no power to power the maglock. She tries to pull the door with all her might, but the magnet is too strong.
“Damn it! I have less than 50 minutes to get out of here. There’s gotta be a way to power that door.” Maria tries to keep calm despite the dire situation.
Then a loud monstrous roar is heard in the background.
“No it can’t be! That bastard is still alive…” She says in disbelief.
Final Act – Nemesis
Chapter 19
Maria pulls out her grenade launcher and looks around. However, she doesn’t see anything around. She begins to think that it might have been her imagination. Nothing is around as she continues to walk around. There are three batteries by the cannon that power it and further ahead there’s a switch to power the door to the helipad.
Heading to the switch, she activates it and sees the door doesn’t unlock. A message on the panel reads…
“Power to the door will be supplied in a few minutes, please be patient.”
“Crap I hope it doesn’t take too long.” She says waiting for the door to unlock.
She hears the monstrous sound once again. However, she doesn’t see anything. Her nerves begin to act up as she doesn’t know what could be making that noise or if it’s her imagination playing tricks on her. She heads towards the door and waits for the door to open. The door doesn’t unlock and she heads towards the computer to see what is going on.
Looking at the computer it indicates that 30% of the power has been delivered. She waits for the bar to fill up to the end and hopes the door unlocks. As she waits though, a thunderous noise is heard and a huge creature breaks through the wall.
“Oh my God, it can’t be…” Maria says in shock.
Upon further review the creature turns out to be Nemesis’s true form. After being bathed in the pool of the Broken Arrow virus, it has turned into a freak of nature. Nemesis has turned into a huge parasitic type creature such as a tick with huge tentacles. Its hands have transformed into She tries to shoot it with her grenade launcher acid rounds, but the rounds only slow down Nemesis ever so slowly.
Acid Rounds: 10
Nemesis comes closer to her and uses its tentacles to whip Maria all the way to the other side of the room. She takes a decent amount of damage.
Condition: Caution (Level 2)
She gets up as fast as she can and runs for cover to use one of her first aid sprays.
Maria uses a First-Aid Spray. First-Aid Sprays: 2
Condition: Fine
After healing herself she loads the flame rounds into her grenade launcher. Taking aim at Nemesis, she shoots the creature with the flame rounds. Nemesis tries to spit a poisonous substance that she’s able to get out of the way from. The flames do weaken Nemesis to a certain degree and it begins to slow down.
Flame Rounds: 15
She continues to fire her flame rounds trying to take advantage of Nemesis slowing down. However she finds out that she is wasting more ammo than she is doing damage to Nemesis. None of the tentacles come out and the Nemesis doesn’t even bleed all too much.
“What the hell? How do I kill this thing then?” She asks herself.
The creature recovers and begins to chase her again. She begins to run from the creature again and slips while the creature gets closer. The creature pulls her in and attempts to swallow her up. She continuously shoots flame rounds until Nemesis lets go of her. Nemesis throws her hard on the floor once again.
Condition: Caution (Level 1)
She gets up all bruised up and runs away from Nemesis once again. She hides behind a pillar and takes a quick look at the radar tracker.
Missile is 65 miles away from the city of NY
“Crap I don’t have much time to waste.” She yells to herself.
Nemesis shoots an acid spit that burns through the metal pillar and exposes Maria. She quickly runs from the pillar and tries to get space from Nemesis. The creature continues to give chase towards her and uses one of its tentacles to dig underground. As Maria tries to run away, the tentacle pops out of the ground and it hits her right in the kisser.
Condition: Danger
She falls down hard and barely moves from where she is. Nemesis comes close to her and screeches ready to finish her off. The creature picks her up and she wakes up with her grenade lau
ncher on the floor. Her left hand is free as she struggles to reach into her right pocket looking for something. She tries the best she can as she gets closer to Nemesis’s mouth.
She is within 5 feet of being swallowed, but finally pulls out what she wanted from her pocket. What she gets out of her pocket is a small bottle of homemade pepper spray that was made by her husband. Inside is a bottle of battery acid that Angel was able to extract from a 12 volt battery.
Maria sprays the battery acid on Nemesis and the creature screams in pain. More importantly however, the creature lets her go and she is able to escape.
Maria uses a First-Aid spray. First-Aid Sprays: 1
Condition: Fine
“I don’t think this guy is going to go down at all with my guns. I’ll have to take my chances with the cannon.” Maria says as she notices Nemesis not budging.
She sees the batteries that power the cannon in three separate areas. Meanwhile the computer reads 80% of the power has been routed to the door. However, she knows that Nemesis will make it impossible for her to escape. She runs to the first battery with Nemesis still stunned and pushes it into the holder. There are two more batteries that still need to be inserted into the holes.
She begins to head to the second battery located close to the back of the room. However, Nemesis sees her and buries a tentacle underground. Nemesis tries to slap Maria again, but this time she’s able to duck under the tentacle.
She rushes to the second battery and begins to push it. Nemesis gets close and tackles her to the ground. The creature jumps and tries to crush her, but she rolls out of the way with Nemesis’s behind just a few feet from her. She guides Nemesis away from the battery and shoots some more flame rounds to slow Nemesis down.
Condition: Caution (Level 1)
Flame rounds: 10
Heading to the second battery, she pushes it to the hole and is able to get it in.
“Just one more left!” She says confidently.
The third battery is close to the door that she has to go through to get to the helipad. She rushes towards the battery, but Nemesis gives chase to her and jumps in front of her. The creature uses its tentacles repeatedly in an attempt to take down Nemesis. She dodges all of the attacks and catches her breath after doing so.
She realizes that she has to get the creature in front of the cannon so that the blast will hit it.
“You want me, come get me!” She taunts Nemesis.
Nemesis answers Maria’s taunt by going after her. Maria backflips of the way, dodging Nemesis’s attack.
“Just a little further!” She says when Nemesis gets close to the range of the cannon.
Nemesis tries to take out Maria by slamming its tentacle onto her. However, she rolls out of the way on every attack. As a result Nemesis hits nothing but the floor.
As soon as Nemesis gets in the crosshairs of the cannon, Maria attacks Nemesis with the rest of her grenade ammo of every type. After barraging the creature, it goes down on the floor. While still alive, it doesn’t move giving Maria the chance to insert the last battery into the hole. She heads to the battery inserting it into the hole.
As soon as all three batteries are in, the cannon powers up.
An automated voice says, “Cannon has been powered up. Prepare for fire!”
After the message the cannon lets out a powerful blasts the rips Nemesis apart into pieces to Maria’s satisfaction. After the blast goes off the cannon overheats and the batteries discharge forcing them out of their holders.
Watching the computer, she sees that the power has been routed to the exit door. However, Nemesis is still alive and crawling, but barely. It’s still chasing Maria and she can’t believe it. She decides whether to simply run away or finish it off despite the fact the missile is getting dangerously close.
Missile is 25 miles away from the city of NY.
What will Maria do?
Escape!
Finish Nemesis once in for all!
Maria has chosen to finish off Nemesis!
Nemesis gets close and tries to shoot off acid at her. She dives to the right and avoids the acid spit. After she lands, she spots a Colt Python Magnum on the floor. She picks it up and shoots Nemesis with it. She shoots 2 shots which weaken Nemesis mightily. Getting up, she walks towards Nemesis while shooting the creature. She shoots three shots from the magnum. There is one more shot in the magnum.
“You wanted Maria? I’ll give you Maria and this bitch bites!” She taunts Nemesis as she shoots the last bullet in the gun.
After shooting the last bullet, Nemesis begins to wither away and after a minute it rots away bleeding purple blood to Maria’s disgust.
“Oh my lord, this is disgusting. Lord have mercy on this bastard!” She says disgusted by Nemesis’s corpse.
The door finally unlocks and she’s able to escape into the helipad. She sees Danny and looks at the radar tracker.
Missile is 15 miles away from the city of NY.
“Maria!” Danny screams at Maria.
“Hey did you find a way out of this hell hole?” She asks.
“Yes, there is a chopper on the way!” He says while waving a flare.
“Wait a minute, a chopper? Who could it be that wants to get me?” She asks.
“It doesn’t matter who! We just have to make sure the chopper can see us, we don’t have much time!” Danny yells.
Danny waves the flare and the chopper spots the flare. It drops down to the ground and the two get into the chopper. After getting in the chopper leaves the helipad with only a few minutes to spare.
“Wow I didn’t think we would survive. I have you to owe, Danny.” She thanks Danny.
“Don’t sweat it hun, just doing my job.” He replies humbly.
Maria takes a look at the pilot handling the helicopter and says, “Thanks, you just saved our butts!”
“I couldn’t let you die.” The pilot says in response.
“Wait, is it you?” She asks in amazement.
“You ready to finish this?” The man says who Maria recognizes.
Everyone sees the missile ready to strike New York as their hometown is about to become extinct.
“Here it comes!” She says as the missile is ready to strike.
“Yeah…” The man says soberly.
“It’s the end…” The man says when the missile strikes.
With zombies walking around lost the missile strikes Cypress Hills and when it makes contact, the explosion is big enough to take out the entire city in only a matter of seconds. Everyone watches shocked as in only a matter of seconds their childhood memories are erased by an evil corporation. The bell tower along with the police station and the tabloid building are all swallowed up in only seconds.
The explosion causes the chopper to experience turbulence but everyone is ok.
“That’s it! Hybrid is going down, enough is enough. Those bastards have caused enough pain and destruction. This time this is no dream, it’s become a reality.” Maria says as the chopper heads into the horizon of the rising sun…
Epilogue
A television newscast shows the explosion of New York City. The news reporter has these words to say.
“And now we have… a rather unfortunate turn of events. It seems the President and the council has passed judgment over the citizens of New York City. The council decided along with the Hybrid Corporation that this operation was the best course of action for this extreme situation.
Based on this fact, it’s fair to say that New York City along with the five boroughs have been wiped off the map. Reports have the death toll close to the 5 million mark.
Our hearts and sincerest condolences go out to the citizens of what used to be the Big Apple…”
The newscast finishes up with more pictures of the destruction of New York City at the hands of Hybrid.
Maria watches this newscast from the comfort of a hotel in Massachusetts. She orders tickets to Croatia to meet her husband or at least she hopes to meet him. She writes in he

“It was all over, my childhood home was all gone. Everything I worked for, all my friends, family, and my memories are all gone! It’s all gone because of one greedy corporation. Just wait until I get my hands on those Croatian bastards. Do they have no heart?
I shouldn’t even be asking that question as I know what the answer is. They have no shame. As long as they have money they’re happy. I feel bad for Danny as his life has turned for the worse after losing his house that he lived in all his life since birth.
Well, I’ll be damned if these guys get away with this! They want Maria dead, all I can say is come and get me if you dare! Hybrid, this means war…”
Congrats on beating Angel’s Nightmare Adventure 3! You have displayed bravery and cunning as you have managed to survive the latest bio-hazard outbreak successfully. What adventures lie in Croatia? Main Characters
Maria - The Main Character of the book. She is a fearless young woman who is the husband of the MC from the first two books, Angel. She carries a pocket journal where she writes her deepest thoughts. She has grown quite a bit since the events of book two. Wearing a pair of shorts, a sexy blue blouse, and knee high leather boots she sure knows how to dress the part of a sexy young adult. Learning a lot of self-defense moves from her husband and how to use a gun, she has become a lot more confident about defending herself. As she gets deeper into the adventure and horrors of a conspiracy, it becomes clear that she is no longer an innocent bystander and she needs to step up as a crusader against the Hybrid Corporation. She is a great shooter, but can’t take too much damage like her male counterpart. She makes up the lack of strength for good speed and dexterity. While she is a good lockpicker, she will have to hone her skills as she goes. Born in New York her parents are Puerto Rican and Italian descendents.
