Cee-Cee
“Me, too,” I sighed, inching closer to Jason and tilting my head back to look up at him. Most of the songs the DJ played so far had been fast, except for the customary dances for the bride, groom, and their parents. But they’d shifted to slower songs when the dollar dance began and stuck with them as I slid into Jason’s arms.
His body was warm against mine as we swayed together. It felt so damn good to be in his arms. To rest my cheek against his chest and listen to his heart beating while we moved together. To breathe in his warm, citrusy masculine scent. “What’s the name of your cologne?”
“Creed Adventus.”
I nuzzled in even closer. “I don’t think I’ve ever heard of it before, but it smells amazing on you.”
“I don’t think it’s a brand that’s super popular in the States. The company’s based in Paris, a city my mom adores. She’s the one who bought it for me.”
“Remind me to thank your mom when I meet her.” It wasn’t until the song ended that I realized exactly what I’d said. I stepped out of Jason’s arms and scrunched my nose up as I looked up at him. “When, I mean if, I ever meet her. Not that I’m assuming I’ll meet her or anything.”
Shit, I sounded like a bumbling idiot. At least, with the way he was smiling at me, it didn’t seem like he minded. He placed a finger over my lips, stemming the flow of words I couldn’t seem to stop myself. “Feel free to assume away, baby. You’re definitely going to meet my parents. Hell, I already met yours and your brothers. It’s only fair for you to meet my family, right?”
“Holy shit, this is moving fast. It’s only been a week since we found each other again, and you met my parents tonight.” I suddenly felt a little light-headed and dizzy. “I need another drink.”
I headed towards the bar with Jason hot on my heels.
“A vodka and tonic with lime.” The bartender started to pour. “Make it a double.”
“And a water,” Jason added.
“Oh, pooh.” I flashed him an exaggerated frown. “Tell me you aren’t going to be a stick in the mud and switch to water this early. Drink with me!”
“The water’s for you, Cecily.” He slid a bill into the tip jar when the bartender set my drink and a bottle of water in front of us. “Can I get a Tanqueray and tonic, too? It looks like I’ll be drinking with my girl.”
“Awwww,” I exhaled. “You called me your girl.” It made me feel all melty inside.
He stepped closer, bending his head to whisper in my ear. “It’s what I want you to be. Mine.”
“Yours,” I sighed, really liking the sound of that.
“But this is a discussion for another day. When we aren’t busy drinking the night away,” he added, handing me the water and lifting the two other drinks off the bar. “I need you to understand what you’re agreeing to when I ask you to be mine.”
“You’re assuming my answer will be yes,” I teased, snagging my drink from his hand and lifting it to my lips.
I gulped down a few sips before he ripped my drink away from my mouth and claimed it with his own. My lips parted in surprise and his tongue slipped inside, tangling against mine. My hands snaked up his back and through his hair to grasp his head. I moaned into his mouth as our kiss turned wild, the rest of the world falling away… until Alec walked up and tapped me on the shoulder.
“Geez, get a room already.”
I ignored my irritating friend’s presence, but took his teasing as a valid suggestion. “Privacy sounds good,” I breathed against Jason’s lips. “And it just so happens that I have a room here. I’ve already checked in and everything. One of the perks to being the maid of honor, for which I am eternally grateful that Andrew and Josie decided to have the reception at a hotel instead of one of Andrew’s restaurants.”
“Cecily,” he groaned.
“Come upstairs with me.”
“Fuck,” he bit out. “How am I supposed to say no to you?”
“It’s simple. You aren’t.” Glancing around the ballroom, I didn’t see Josie and Andrew anywhere. “The bride and groom have already left. Pretty soon, it’ll just be you and me down here. So either we call it a night, and you head home. Or, you can ball up, grab us a couple more drinks, and come up to my room to see what happens next.”
“Fuck, you’re gorgeous when you’re feeling feisty.”
“Is that a yes?” I asked, smirking at him. “Because it certainly sounds like one to me.”
“Yeah, my little firecracker. It’s a yes.”
“Yippee,” I squealed, snagging my drink back from him and then dancing away from him to grab my purse from my table. “Don’t forget to get us a couple of new drinks ‘cause this one’ll be gone before we hit the elevator.”
“That’s what I’m afraid of,” he grumbled as he set his barely touched drink on a table on his way to the bar. I laughed lightly when I noticed he was only carrying a new bottle of water and the drink he handed me when we met up at the door.
“You’re cutting yourself off?”
“Not exactly by choice,” he complained. “I’m going to need to muster up as much control as I can once we get to your room, and another drink would only make it that much more difficult.”
The elevator doors slid open, and I followed him inside, snuggling up against him instead of moving to stand next to him. “Aww, is a big guy like you scared of little ole me?”
“Damn straight I am. I might be big, but I’m no dummy.”
“Considering you decided to come back to my room with me instead of going home”—I slurped at my drink— “I’m going to have to agree with you.”
“True, I’d have to be a special kind of dipshit to head home to an empty bed when I could spend time with you instead.”
“You rhymed,” I giggled as we left the elevator and headed down the hall to my room.
“Fuck, I did,” he groaned.
“Here, take this.” I handed him my already empty glass while I dug through my purse for my room key. “Aha! Got it.”
I slid it through the lock thingamajiggy, but the light turned red instead of green. I swiped it again with the same results. “Dammit.”
“Here, let me give it a go,” Jason offered. Juggling the bottle of water he’d grabbed and the empty cup I’d given him, he took the key from me and the light turned green on his first try.
“It figures,” I huffed, walking into my room as he held the door open for me.
“What does?”
“You’re so perfect that even hotel room doors work for you on the first try.” I kicked off my heels and plopped down onto the bed, my legs dangling over the side.
“You think I’m perfect, huh?” He sat across from me on a brown leather chair, toeing his shoes off and stretching his legs out until his feet brushed against mine.
“Well, you did manage to get me into my hotel room. I usually only give myself three tries before I give up, and it’s such a pain in the ass when you have to go all the way back downstairs to get a new key card.”
“I can see how that would be frustrating,” he chuckled. “But it really wasn’t a big deal. I’ve always had good luck with hotel room doors, which is a good thing considering how often I need to use them.”
Of course that was the reason why. “Ugh,” I groaned, flopping backwards dramatically. “I spent every night of the last nine months thinking about a guy who’s a hotel room key card expert because he gets so much action that he’s always in hotels.”
“Yeah, firecracker definitely works for you as a nickname.” I felt the mattress dip as he crawled next to me. “I can’t believe I’m actually admitting to this—and the only reason I am is because you’ve basically confessed to the same thing—but I haven’t gotten any action, as you put it, since before the night I met you.”
“Really?” I gasped, rolling to my side to look into his eyes so I could try to gauge how honest he was being. His friends and Josie had basically told me so already, but hearing it directly
from him was different. He was the only one who would know for sure, after all. It wasn’t like they were with him twenty-four-seven.
He reached over and started pulling the bobby pins from my hair. It felt so good to feel his fingers sifting through the strands that I let him finish without pushing for an answer. Once he was done, he twirled a lock of my hair around his finger and shifted his burning gaze to my eyes. “I already told you I hadn’t been with any of the puck bunnies who like to throw themselves at the team.”
“I remember.” And I did, but that didn’t mean there hadn’t been other opportunities he hadn’t turned down. “But I didn’t want to assume that meant you hadn’t been with anyone else at all. There are plenty of women in Chicago who’ve never even watched a hockey game.”
“There’s a reason the guys have taken to calling me a monk.” His palm slid along my cheek and cupped it. “Yes, I’ve been celibate this whole time.”
I searched his face and found nothing except honesty—and a shit ton of desire. “Me, too,” I admitted softly.
He smiled, satisfaction filling his eyes, and started to lower his head towards mine. His lips had barely brushed mine when our kiss was interrupted by a knock at the door.
“Room service!”
My brow wrinkled in confusion. “I didn’t order anything.”
“I did.” Jason dropped a quick, hard kiss onto my mouth before crawling off the mattress and opening the door. The room service attendant wheeled in a cart with a couple of covered dishes, a bottle of champagne, and a vase filled with red roses.
“Holy shit,” I breathed out, my eyes widening at the sight before me.
“Leave it. It’s fine as is,” Jason told him, handing over a tip and urging him out the door.
I kneeled up on the mattress, shoving the skirt of my dress high enough so I could move to the edge. “What’d you do?”
“I know it’s Josie and Andrew’s big day, but it’s also Valentine’s Day. Our first one together, and I didn’t want to let it pass us by without doing something special for you.”
The gesture was sweet, but there was one thing about it that bothered me. “Did you pick room service because you assumed you’d be in my room to enjoy it with me?”
“Fuck no!” he denied. “I figured I’d get some text messages so I could experience it with you through selfies or something like that.”
“We do connect well in texts.” I pointed towards the cart. “How about you show me what you gave me to work with for those selfies?”
He lifted up the first cover, and there was a plate of chocolate covered strawberries underneath it. I laughed when I saw the pancakes under the other one. “That seems like an odd choice for a romantic gesture.”
“The pancakes were a last minute addition. I figured you could use them to help soak up some of the alcohol so you don’t feel like complete shit in the morning.”
I got up and poured some syrup onto the pancakes. “That is… incredibly thoughtful, actually.” I took a couple of bites, not caring that he was watching me eat because once the scent of them hit my nose, I’d realized I was beyond starving. “And so damn good.”
I polished about half of them off. “You want some, too? I think I’m full.”
“Nah, I’m good.”
I sipped at a glass of water that came with the delivery. “You’re better than good. You’re amazing.” I set the glass back down, and turned. “Can you help me with my zipper?”
The only answer I got was the feel of his warm fingers stroking along my skin as he slid the zipper down my back. I let the dress fall to the floor and looked over my shoulder at him. “How about we save the strawberries and champagne for after?”
The blue of his eyes deepened a couple of shades as his eyes devoured me. “Fuck, baby. You’re even more gorgeous than I imagined, and I had plenty of opportunities to fantasize about what you’d look like naked.”
“I’m not naked quite yet, and you haven’t even seen my best side.” I reached behind my back and unhooked my bra, letting it fall to the floor on top of my dress. My hands slid down to my sides, but when they reached my hips Jason’s hands stopped them from pulling my panties down. His hips jerked forward, and his hard cock pressed against my ass. His body was most definitely saying yes, but…
“As much as I want to—and fuck do I want it, more than just about anything ever—we can’t do this tonight.”
“What do you mean we can’t?” I wiggled my ass against him. “It’s been so long, for both of us. We waited, and here we finally are, the two of us alone together in a hotel room. It seems like the perfect time to me.”
“Our first time together isn’t going to be when you’ve had too much to drink and not nearly enough to eat.”
I twisted in his arms to glare up at him. “Damn that Alec.”
He glared right back. “What’s Alec got to do with it?”
“It’s his fault I didn’t get to eat my dinner tonight because I was trying to run interference for you with my family while also doing all the stuff that needed to be done for Josie and Andrew. He’s a cock-blocking bastard, that’s what he is.” Hmmm, something wasn’t quite right about that. I blinked up at Jason, and it hit me. “No, wait! He’s a pussy-blocking bastard. Because I have a pussy, not a cock. Except I’m being blocked from your cock, so maybe cock-blocking bastard would work.”
Jason’s hand slid over my mouth, muffling my words. “Shit! You need to stop saying words like pussy and cock. They sound even dirtier coming out of your pretty little mouth.”
I licked his hand and smiled up at him naughtily when he yanked it away from my mouth. “Pussy. Cock. Pussy. Cock.”
“What the hell am I going to do with you, my little firecracker?”
“I can think of a few things.” I slid my hand down the front of his pants and palmed his hard cock. “Please. I need you, Jason. It’s been so long, and I ache.”
“Fuck,” he groaned, the muscles in his jaw bunching and his blue eyes filled with blazing heat.
My soft plea apparently got to him because he nudged me backwards until I was falling onto the mattress. He tore my panties down my legs and without any warning, stabbed his tongue straight into me. I screamed, my hips bucking upwards, but he held me tight.
He devoured me, there was no other way to describe it. With my fingers clenched in his hair and my heels digging into the mattress, he licked, sucked, and nibbled until I was gasping for air. It had been so long since anyone had touched me, and the sensations were almost too much.
“Oh God, oh God, oh God,” I chanted. It hadn’t taken much to get me close to the edge. My back arched off the bed, my body taut.
“Mmm,” he hummed against me.
“Please, Jason.”
He paused in his attentions, and I almost wept in frustration. “Come for me. I want to see my little firecracker go off.”
“Yes, please. I want that, too. So fucking much.”
His mouth lowered to me again, his tongue licking up and down before plunging deep. It felt so damn good, I bucked against his hold. His hands tightened, spreading my thighs wider as his teeth scraped against my clit. I flew apart, screaming. He didn’t stop, though. He kept his mouth on me and added his fingers. One slid inside and his thumb flicked my clit. It lengthened out my climax, impossibly building another one right behind it.
I hadn’t known it was possible to feel such intense pleasure. For my body to be so completely at the mercy of another person. For me to climax twice, so close together. “I’m going to come again,” I moaned.
His deep blue eyes locked with mine, gleaming with passion. He held my gaze as he swiped his tongue through my folds, making me tremble with pleasure. He licked, his tongue circling my clit on each upward stroke, while he sunk two fingers inside. He got the fireworks he’d asked for, I thrashed back and forth underneath him with my knees pressed against either side of his head and my hands tearing at the sheets.
He didn’t stop, even as I screamed o
ut his name again. His tongue was relentless in its pursuit of my pleasure. By the time he lifted his head, I was a boneless heap. I tried lifting my hand to reach out to him, but it flopped back onto the mattress. I stayed like that, without moving at all, until Jason climbed into bed next to me, stripped down to just his boxers.
“What about you?”
He pulled me into his arms and settled us comfortably in the middle of the bed. “Don’t worry about me. Tonight was all about you, my little firecracker.”
“But—”
“Tomorrow will be another story, when you’re completely sober and tell me you want me. If you say it then, I’ll fuck you so hard you’ll be able to feel me for days.”
“I hate the idea of you in pain.” I slid my hand to the front of his boxers.
His hips jerked, pressing his cock more firmly into my palm. “As painful as it might be for me tonight, I can afford to wait since I’ll have plenty of other opportunities with you.”
Chocolates, flowers, pancakes, and two orgasms given without any thought to his own needs. “Best Valentine’s Day ever.”
“Just wait until next year.”
I snuggled into his chest, my eyelids drooping as I thought about how incredible it was that he talked about our future together with such certainty.

Jason
I woke up the next morning with Cecily’s body pressed against mine and the memory of her taste on my lips. For one brief moment, I thought it was another dream—just more vivid than all the ones I’d had of her over the last nine months. Then she stirred next to me, and I realized it was real. She was finally in my arms.
I squeezed her tight and pressed my hardened cock into her ass cheeks when she snuggled against me. “Careful, firecracker. I barely managed to keep hold of my control last night. I’m not much better off this morning. A little more of that wiggling, and my restraint’s going to snap.”
“Would that be such a horrible thing?” She turned in my arms and looked up at me, making my already rock solid cock even harder. Her red hair was tangled, her green eyes heavy-lidded, and her cheek creased from the pillow she’d slept on. The tousled look really worked for her. She was sexier like this than when she was all put together; probably because it made me want to mess her up even more.
