Crossfire (Rarissime Book 1) Page 23

by Anna Widzisz

She could feel it all. The anxiety, pain, pleasure, desire.

Savannah bit her lip from the friction.

"Get up and kneel on the bed," he said, letting her go. She hesitated. "Now, Savannah. Don't make me repeat myself."

His rough words mixed with the stone-cold expression on his face made her obey again. Her heart was pounding not knowing whether he was thinking about fucking her ass. With Elio, it was highly possible, especially in such a position. And he surely realized what her train of thoughts was but didn't do anything to ease her mind.

  That brought anxiety.

"Elio." His name was a faint whimper on her lips. She tensed closing her legs. She almost choked on the air when the man regarded her and sent her his infamous smirk as if nothing she had done was enough to stop him.

"Don't do that or I will hold you down and fuck you senseless. Ass too."

And she almost started crying right there and then because she felt arousal rather than disgust. Her pussy clenched before she spread her legs for him and lowered herself on her arms.

She must have trusted him more than she thought because his words somehow assured her that he wouldn't actually do what he said he would. He loved saying things like that to make her wet. She knew it because he’d learned her desires and what she needed more than she had herself.

Her ass perched, Elio spread her ass cheeks. Fingers dug into her flesh as he kept on pushing his cock inside her pussy. It was the best position yet making her moan so loud that the neighbor might actually hear her. But something told her that none of them was much better.

He was rough. Almost brutal with his moves. Savannah couldn't adjust as he changed the tempo every few seconds; going slowly, picking up, slowing down again before giving it his all. Her moans turned into screams not and then when the could feel the pressure. It was glorious.

"Fuck, I wish I could finish inside you," he grunted and pulled his cock out turning her around on her back just like she had been in the beginning.

Hands taken above her head still tied with the bandana.

Savannah's eyes widened as she had just realized that they hadn’t used any protection. She wasn't taking birth control and he hadn't rolled his condom on his dick either. How could she not have seen that before? How hot and bothered had she been she not to think through it?

Elio didn't seem troubled, whatsoever. He gripped his cock, sliding her hand from his balls to the tip before he came all over her stomach. White and warm cum glistened and she once again forgot what she had been so scared of. It didn't matter at all now.

He took a little bit of it on his two fingers and put the inside near Savannah's mouth to lick it off. They repeated this until there was nothing left on her abs other than a wet spot.

"You're fucking amazing," he whispered, cupping her cheeks and kissing her lips.

  Chapter Thirty-Eight

"What's wrong?" Savannah asked as they were waiting in the car to drive through the gate to Midnight Mayhem.

He didn't even answer at first. This decision to take her to the races had been a sudden one. Which he hadn’t really thought through. And that the girl had actually agreed to accompany him was a surprise by itself.

  Made Men would be there.

Flavio would, and this time around also Noah. This event was a big one and the Bratva would have a hard time sneaking their way in here, however, the orders had to be abided. And since he had his own goal coming here, other than taking part in the race, he had to take Savannah with him. Even though putting her in harm's way was the last thing he wanted.

There was just no other way.

Elio turned his head to the girl. "I need you to do something for me, Savannah," he began.

She frowned. "Alright. What is it?"

"We are about to meet with quite a few people. Some are in the Famiglia and some are simply connected with it. I need you to stay close to me at all times. And when I'm going to be racing, you are not to leave Flavio. Understood?"

"Do you trust Flavio Falcone that much?"

"I trust that he keeps to himself and he's not going to ask questions." He drove into the arena, revealing thousands of people and many cars all around. "I'd pull back from the race if I could. But as I was one of the winners recently, I can't."

Savannah nodded, feeling her heart start thrumming in her chest. She was nervous to be here. Not only because of what Elio warned her about, however, she simply couldn't comprehend being around so many dangerous people, carrying guns and being able to kill you with ease; but also because it wasn't her scene. She was a homebody more than a girl who went out every other night. Megan had tried to persuade her into going somewhere countless times and had been unsuccessful.

Once the car came to a stop in front of the main areas by the track, she spotted both Falcone brothers. They were in the center of attention, talking to three other men. They were both wearing jeans, simple t-shirts and jackets. Holsters peeked out from under them. The shorter man was showing something on his tablet to them. He looked kind of ridiculous with his low hanging, baggy jeans, white hoodie and snapback, compared to the one standing next to him who was just a jacket less from being ready for some business meeting. Or even a wedding. Then there was Elio's brother, Fabro.

"Fuck," Elio murmured. "I didn't know he was going to be here."

He was, of course, talking about his twin. There was no feeling spared. He seemed angry.

"Is it that bad with you and your brother?" she had to ask.

"I wouldn't care if he hadn't threatened you." Savannah put her hand on his thigh, wanting to hear the story. She was already anxious to be around all of them so it really made no difference to hear one more thing that would be rolling through her mind for the rest of the night. If she was to last that long.

  "Elio."

"My father wanted him to talk to you, see how much you know and whether I actually talked to you about our business more than I should. They didn't believe that you warned me out of fear. That was the reason why I kept my distance the week before you came to the gym. I couldn't show that they were, in fact, right about you having a totally different reason for coming to me. But he waited and caught me when I was leaving your apartment the other day after we had sex."

"So your father knows about us?"

He shook his head. "No, he doesn't. Fabro wants me to get in trouble on my own. He's a dick. And believe me, he's worse than me. Whatever you might actually think of me, Savannah. So please don't talk to him about anything. He is most likely going to bait you. Don't let him."

Savannah looked down. Her hands were shaking and Elio was not helping at all. If he hadn't driven her here, she would be on her way back home. She was terrified at this point.

He reached out for her, intertwining their fingers. "I'm here, okay? Nothing bad is going to happen to you. Just please keep in mind what I told you," he assured her before getting out of the car. Savannah unwillingly followed him.

Without looking, she could already feel eyes on her. But she tried to focus on Elio. It felt as if she was a stupid teenager about to introduce her boyfriend to her parents. When the reality was much worse. She was the one being introduced, and to freaking mobsters too.

"Conte, finally," yelled the guy dressed as if he were a part of a gang.

  Maybe he was?

They all greeted each other with handshakes diving into a conversation about tonight's race right away. Only Flavio Falcone seemed bored and kept glancing disapprovingly in Savannah's direction. She was standing a few feet from them and wasn't interested in what they were saying either, however, she felt stupid just standing there and waiting for Elio to come back to her side. She knew it was risky and the man couldn't show that there was something more between them than a simple fuck-buddies relations but she still was angry that it had came to that.

After a few minutes when Elio was checking out the car that had been given to him fo the race, the younger Falcone took advantage of the moment and moved towards th
e girl. Her cheeks flushed deep red, scared of what he'd say to her. She remembered Elio's words that the man would ask questions but based on the determination written all over his face, she was no longer sure that was the case. He clearly hadn’t expected her to be there.

Well, an hour ago neither had she.

"I guess Elio shit on whatever I told him," he murmured for her ears only. His eyes were stone cold and threatening. More than Elio's. Perhaps, it was because she wasn't used to being around him. She had only really seen him two times before and never talked to him. It had only been him introducing himself to her.

She stayed quiet. She wasn't certain if there was even something to say to that. Besides, she was to limit herself.

Flavio regarded her and chuckled, shaking his head. "At least he warned you about us."

  Still nothing.

"And now I need you to shove aside his orders. What the fuck is Elio's plan? Why are you here?"

He was supposed to not ask questions.

Savannah shook her head not answering him. Her eyes went behind Flavio's shoulder to get some help from Elio before she said something she would regret. But the man was too invested in looking under the hood to even acknowledge that something was wrong.

A shiver went up her spine. She had to deal with it herself. Just as she had always done before. She took a few deep breaths and looked up to Flavio's eyes that were still focused entirely on her.

"I'm waiting, Savannah," he grunted. "Tell me before you start regretting it. Showing no respect is a big no-go, sweetheart."

"I'm not sure what I'm doing here. All I know is that it's essential. He just asked me an hour ago to come with him," she said, gathering all her courage.

Fucking hell, if speaking to Flavio Falcone cost her that much energy, she didn't want to think what would happen if she faced his older brother. She would possibly start crying, vomit and then pass out.

Flavio snorted. "Classic. I told him to let it go and here he is about to fucking talk to my brother about you. If I were you, I'd run."

Then he walked away, back to the men. But right now, Elio was watching them and as soon as he saw the terrified expression on Savannah's face, he excused himself and walked towards her. As he was to bypass Flavio, he put a hand on his shoulder stopping him. They exchanged a few words which made Elio flash with anger, spit out a few more things and come up to her.

He kept a slight distance even if he longed to be as close to her as possible. He couldn't.

"Are you sure that I should be here?" she whispered.

"No," he said. "Not in the slightest. But I'm trying to show you that I can take responsibility, too. We need to talk to Noah alone. Come with me."

He headed towards the blue building. He drew a packet of cigarettes from his pocket and lit one. Savannah's lips twisted in slight disgust. She’d tasted the tobacco on him many times. She usually didn't mind it in the heat of the moment, but other than that it really bothered her.

"You don't like me smoking, do you?"

She shook her head. "I think it's a terrible habit that can kill you."

Elio sent her an amused look, making her think of what she'd just told him.

"Don't give me that look," she reprimanded him, pushing his arm lightly. Then she smiled. It was ridiculous. That was a fact.

"I'm literally putting my life on the line daily. Lung cancer wouldn't even be in the top hundred on the list of things that could kill me, baby girl."

  "You never know."

Elio pushed the doors open. It was quiet. Every worker was somewhere in the arena rather than in an office at this hour. No lights were on so they moved through the hall under the glow coming from outside.

Savannah squeezed his hand and cut him off, making him stop as he reached out to turn the knob. "I'm scared," she said.

The man nodded. He cupped the back of her head and placed a soft kiss on her forehead. "I know. Now I need you to trust me more than ever. Can you do that?"

She nodded but in the back of her mind, she wasn't sure. It felt like they were pushing their luck, especially after what she heard Flavio say to her. It was obvious that relationships between Made Men and outsiders were forbidden. The Famiglia was a distrustful organization and Savannah understood it better the moment they stepped into the room and saw Noah Falcone standing by the huge glass windows holding a gun in his hand.

He kept his demeanor harsh. Being only twenty-two, barely two years older than Savannah had nothing on him. Anyone could shit their pants if they were alone in a dark room with him. If she hadn't felt Elio's presence next to her, she would too.

Noah raised an eyebrow but didn’t comment. He pointed towards the table that was in the middle but other than coming closer to it, no one sat down. It wasn't a business meeting and it could go extremely bad. Not like Elio could control it at this point or question his Capo.

  "Parli," the Capo said.

  Chapter Thirty-Nine

Savannah pursed her lips. She was helpless. Whatever was to happen from now on was out of their hands. She wouldn't dare move or say a word in her defense. Elio, out of respect towards his Capo, wouldn't either. Once confronted she would cower, weakness boiling inside of her.

It was as if she was again, after all this time, standing in front of her father, waiting for another punch. Another blow. Another harsh word. A nightmare to live through all over again.

"So you're the waitress that Gastone seems to have a problem with," Noah narrowed his eyes. He waited for an answer but didn't get one. His finger twitched on the trigger. "It's not going to go over well if you refuse to talk to me."

Savannah was tested. Like never before. Right now, raising Aiden could be considered a walk in the park. She would gladly bring up ten kids than spent time with the Capo and spill all her thoughts and feelings. Because there was no mistake that was what he wanted from her.

  "I guess, I am."

Then his eyes moved to Elio. "Haven't I told you that there would be consequences if you step out of line?"

"I haven't done anything that could be considered a betrayal, Capo."

Noah laughed bitterly. "You're a great liar. I have to give it to you. If I were to go simply on your words, you'd be off the hook. However, if you hadn't done shit, you wouldn't be here. So what the fuck happened and remember your oath."

The girl wasn't certain herself what this could possibly be. Elio was on the path towards dating an outsider, but it hadn't happened yet. So what had Noah seen in him to think otherwise?

"Savannah saw me kill Hunter. And I was the one to make her watch," he said.

  Realization flashed in her mind.

The memories of that day vividly slid in her head. The blood, dismembered body parts. Elio's composure and dark, satisfied expression.

Surprise crossed Noah's face. Then a brutal expression followed that made Savannah shift closer to the man. "Clearly, you're not here because you cannot handle the girl."

"No, I'm here because I need you to know about her."

"I have known about her ever since your father called me. Telling me about a certain girl who came to his club to warn his son about the owner of the diner who was in touch with the fucking Bratva. It didn't take much to see that it was out of place to obtain information this way." He mockingly pointed the gun at Savannah. He wasn't holding it to pull the trigger. It was loosely hanging in his palm.

"I told him because I wasn't going to stand by and put all the employees at risk because of one man's actions," Savannah spoke. "One person is not worth more than a few. At least not Hunter."

  "There's more," Noah pressed.

Savannah looked at Elio for encouragement. He nodded.

"I knew about the Russian. I’d seen him a few times when he came looking for Hunter. I immediately knew that there was something off about him. The way he carried himself screamed danger. And even though I didn't know his deal, I was aware of him existing"

  She took a breath.

  "And?"

&
nbsp; "I have a brother whom I'm raising by myself. If something were to happen to me, he'd be alone."

Noah stared off to the side for a couple of minutes, thinking about it. "Outsiders aren't meant to become part of Made Men's lives. You know the rules, Elio."

"Yes, I do. But I'm not asking of you anything other than to acknowledge her. I'm not planning a wedding. Possibly ever. Besides, you need as much backup as possible now."

"Careful," Noah said coldly. "If I didn't know better, I'd say that sounded like a threat."

Savannah swallowed. One wrong word and it’d screw everything up.

"What I need is a loyal person. Are you loyal, Elio? Because from where I'm standing, I'm not so sure."

The Capo leaned against the table. He wasn't someone who trusted easily. Everyone knew that, even his brother. It was Flavio who'd warned them about how he could react and putting their fate in his hands was a terrible idea. Yet, it was the only choice they had. One of those days Gastone would find out the entire truth from Fabro. All it would take was him getting bored or being in the mood to fuck with them and everything would come out. Elio couldn’t even imagine any other scenario than the Capodecina going straight to Noah to save his own ass.

That's why Elio had to risk it before he'd surely lose it all.

  "I am."

"Savannah, leave us," demanded the Capo.

She hesitated. She didn't want to leave them alone but as a barely five-foot-three girl, she couldn't do much either. Her heart stopped just by thinking that this might be it for them. But she left, nevertheless.

Taking a few steps back, she crashed into someone.

"I'm truly surprised you came out of that room alive. Elio wasn't lucky enough?" The voice was familiar.

  Flavio.

Savannah turned around at once, meeting his eyes. He was smirking at her.

"Aren't you two friends?" she asked. From what she knew, Elio trusted him more than others. They spent a lot of time together partying, training and working. However, right now he was acting as if that meant nothing to him.
