  Note from the author…

  Dear Reader,

I hope you enjoyed Tristan and Audie’s story. I thought we would see more of Nessie, but maybe she’ll show up in another book down the line.

The B&B was inspired by a very real B&B on the shores of Lake Como in Italy, last year. It was just as described, and the sound of the water was pure music to the soul.

If you search Youtube for the falls at Invermoriston, you’ll see that the rushing water is, indeed, brown. And yes, Scots used it for drinking and life in general.

Water plays a crucial role in this story, with Nessie bringing Audie to the beach to discover Tristan. Then, the water of River Moriston throwing them into each other’s arm. It was only when they strayed from the water that they had problems. To come full circle, I really would have liked to bring them together again near a lake or stream. But Audie had to get back to work, like the rest of us.

Naill is next, by Diane Darcy, and I’m waiting for one of the lads to fight his way to the front of the line and volunteer his story to me. I already hear a ruckus breaking out, so it won’t be long. Stay tuned.

  Thanks again for reading us!
