“Why do you care what my name is? Aren’t you just going to kill me anyway” I said looking back at him with discus. His eyes widened a little apparently not accustomed to rudeness.
“We are not going to kill you silly, you are something we don’t understand and it would be a waste to kill something so” . . . and then he touched my inner thigh, I jerked when he did.
“Beautiful” he said finishing his sentence and showing fangs while looking me over in a very sexual manner. Not. Going. To. Happen.
“Better kill me then, because if I get out of these chains you’re the first one on my list to die” I said through gritted teeth. Everyone in the room started to laugh like I had made the world’s funniest joke.
“What a sense of humor you do have my sweet, now tell me you name, or I will be forced to make one up for you.” He said in a singsong voice. I was surprised he didn’t start dancing around the room. I had already been caught, that didn’t mean I had to give them my personal information along with my freedom. After a long pause I heard him sigh loudly from impatience.
“I am Robert and this is my lovely wife Amelia” he said trying harder to win me over with introductions. When I still didn’t give up my name Emily became violent.
“SPEAK!” she yelled, slapping me in the face with enough force to cause my teeth to rattle.
“Enough Emily” Robert said in a calm voice as I tried to see straight. Emily bowed half her body to Robert then stomped her feet to stand over in the shadows clearly throwing a temper tantrum.
“You are a very stubborn girl” Amelia said.
“You’re not the first one to say that” I said almost in a growl when she kept rubbing my damn ankle.
“Who are your parents?” she asked in a sweet and innocent voice trying to coax me for information when her husband had failed, I gave her the same silent treatment.
“If you do not start answering us, we will have to resort to drastic measures” Amelia said with a large smile probably already choosing whom of my family to slaughter. Did Bill and Quinn get away? Damn I couldn’t take a chance on anyone else’s life. “My name is Lana” I said finally giving up praying they wouldn’t ask for more information, I would only give them so much.
“You’re Parent’s?” Robert asked. I didn’t want to give my father up and since they seemed to not know anything about me I figured I could lie.
“There dead” I said in a sad voice for effect. There was a slight silence making me wonder if they could tell when someone was lying.
“Very interesting” Amelia said finally coming to some conclusion. I didn’t want her thinking about my life, so I changed the subject to the matter at hand.
“What are you going to do with me?”
“A great many things Miss.Lana, you killed ten of my best soldiers, one of which was Byron whom just happened to be Emily’s mate. She wishes for a long suffering death for you, I on the other hand believe you are something special that should live. Release her”. Robert said, four vampires came out of the shadows along with Emily who looked shell shocked by the announcement, she wasn’t the only one, but I wasn’t going to bitch I was about to be set free. Once I felt the chains loosen, I shot up from the table expecting the vampires in the room to charge me, but no one moved. Robert was holding up the little remote control to that damn collar Emily had placed on me earlier. Too late I realized it was a decoy. I felt the collar snap around my neck making a prisoner once again.
Robert smiled evilly at me before he pressed the red button; my neck felt like it was on fire as the electricity jolted through my veins. I hit the ground landing on my knees, white spots danced in front of my eyes, but I didn’t pass out this time which was not an improvement. Finally the electricity stopped. I leaned on my hands and knees trying to catch my breath as Robert and Amelia laughed.
I tried to get the damn collar off but every time I got close I felt shocks of heat radiating through my fingertips like I was about to touch a live wire.
“The collar will kill you if you try to remove it.” Robert informed me smiling. I hated them all and didn’t try to hide it by glaring at the King and Queen.
“You now belong to us” Robert said practically ignoring me.
“I don’t belong to anyone” I yelled, he brought up the remote as a reminder causing me to close my eyes in defeat. I had no desire to die and nowhere else to go at this point.
“What do you want me to do?” I asked, Robert came over to me and touched my check with his cold dead fingers.
“Whatever we want you to do” he whispered in my ear. I shivered at the thought of things I was now going to be forced to do.
“First let’s get you dressed. Come my dear we have guests to attend to” Robert said to Amelia whilst taking her hand in his. Half the vampires in the room stayed one of which was Emily.
“You were luck they were here, but there not anymore Siberian” she said looking at me with glowing eyes. I was betting with my life she was bluffing, from what I had understood Robert wanted me alive and since he was king…
“Aren’t you supposed to help me dress? Wouldn’t want to keep the King and Queen waiting now would we” I saw my death in her eyes now, but instead of acting on her stupidity she threw me a Victorian red dress with gold embroidered spirals on it that cut low enough to show cleavage.
It was something I would have worn as a Halloween costume. Awaiting the warmth the dress would bring me I slipped it on quickly. When the zipper on the back wouldn’t go up all the way, Emily came over to assist. I gasped at having little oxygen once the dress tightened to a point I had to take small breathes. I didn’t think ripping the dress to shreds seam by seam would help my situation any.
I was escorted out of the room by two male vampires, Emily followed behind apparently not trusting me at her back. We entered a long narrow concrete hallway only illuminated by the dome laps that hung from the ceiling; my feet were numb from the freezing cold temperature of the floor.
Where the hell was I?
We began walking, passing metal doors as we went. A few times I could hear ear piercing screams asking for death that seemed would never come. I was led up a staircase made of metal, the heels of the vampires boots echoed loudly in the silence. I felt as though I was going to the executioners block. We stopped briefly so Emily could type in an access code for the metal door we now stood at to open.
Once through we were now standing in a very large library the color of deep mahogany. Every book looked extremely old, with leather bindings and old English writing, but the smell in the room was awful.
I was lead out of the library into the foyer of a mansion. The walls were painted dark brown and the merle on the floor was breathtaking, it was a picture of a blond women naked lying in a field of lilies. Her blue eyes seemed to be watching me as I passed by, like a predator stalking her prey for weakness. I couldn’t look at the picture anymore, the feeling she looked familiar was creepy.
We stopped at the bottom of a white staircase.
“Wait here” Emily stated as she began going up. Where did she think I was going to go?
There were two massive front doors that looked to be carved from the Viking era. The handles were gold hoops that were chained together with a big lock the size of a granny apple. I waited impatiently for Emily to return, the door would be useless if I tried to escape.
Robert and Amelia finally decided to grace us with their company, having changed into more formal attire. Robert was wearing a black and white tux with a bow tie. Amelia was wearing a long white gown you could almost see through.
“You look lovely” Robert said looking at me admirably. I didn’t say anything about the fact I could hardly breathe in this “lovely” dress, my boobs were already starting to hurt from the pressure of the tight fitting top.
“We are going to be hosting a party
and you are the guest of honor” Amelia stated as my heart rate picked up at the thought of what a “guest of honor” entitled. If they had been lying to me about being special and wanting to keep me alive just to feed me to their friends I would rather roast to death by the collar I wore.
“Are you all going to take turns eating me” I asked needing and answer now before I did something I could come back from.
“Oh no, no one is allowed to touch you without asking us first” she said smiling as though she knew where my thoughts had gone.
We all began walking down a large hallway until we came to two more giant sized doors that were open as a welcome invitation. I was entranced with what I saw. I was now in a giant dome like great hall.
The walls had a mural of some great war between all sorts of shape shifters and vampires.
As we descended down the black and red marble stairs, I became aware of the tables throughout the room that sat six vampires each. Everyone had gone quite when Robert and Amelia, entered the room.
There was a clear path on a white runner carpet that ended at two thrones. One was made of diamonds making it seem to glow, where the other one was red velvet and gold.
I was escorted by Emily, to a small pillow that sat two steps down from the thrones.
“Your king and Queen” one man yelled as an introduction. There were a lot of humans and even more vampires. I noticed there were even a few other shifters with the same damn collar on that I was wearing.
As I looked around it seemed at least one shifter was standing next to every table, and on those tables the little black remote with the red button sat. We were all prisoners it seemed, the thought made my heart ache. I had to sit were I was as they indulged in their meals, which just happened to have a heartbeat. The humans didn’t even bat and eye as the vampires feasted by cutting come part of their servers body and draining the blood into their goblets. I on the other hand was ready to puke. After their “dinner” was done the entire audience looked towards the thrones as if waiting for something. I tensed as Robert started speaking.
“This young woman has joined us tonight, I see it fitting we show her our… entertainment. Let us make our way to the arena” the king said standing with Amelia. I didn’t like the sound of that. We all followed the King and Queen down a long corridor that lead outside. Once outside I stared wide eyed at what looked like a baseball stadium. There were electric fences all around it, and the walls were so tall, not even I could climb or jump them. The closer we got to entering the stronger the scent of blood became. I followed the king and queen up the stairs of the stadium to the very top. Since my vision was pretty good I could see the large open area that reminded me of the collisum where the gladiators fought.
I gulped not wanting to know what this place was. The King and Queen sat down at their velvet red chairs; I stood next to the queen worried about what was going to happen next. The shifters that had been around during feeding time were nowhere to be seen.
“Let’s begin” Robert yelled in a very happy voice as he looked at me.
“Watch closely Lana” he said as he turned his gaze to the empty area. I thought my heart might jump out of my chest when I saw what looked like a cage doors open. Two naked men come to the middle of the arena, they turned to the King, bowed their heads as they waited.
“Only one will remain” the king shouted. He was going to make these men fight to the death. I couldn’t catch my breath, I leaned against the queens chair and almost fainted, since it was already hard to breath from the damn dress I unzipped the back a little and turned away from the stadium to look behind me, so I wouldn’t have to watch the two men try to kill each other. I felt sick; these were people being forced to fight for pure entertainment. I could feel the magic as the men changed from down on the ground. One man had turned into a grizzly bear, other man turned into a black panther.
The bear reared up on his hind legs as the panther began circling him. I couldn’t look away not from entertainment but from in fear for these men. The panther whizzed through the air hitting the wall on the right side of the arena after he had gotten too close to the bears claws. The crowd cheered. I felt sick.
He didn’t stay down for long; I was impressed with the fast come back. He wasted no time in charging the bear, catching him unaware he latched on to his throat going for a quick kill. A hissing sound started throughout the arena at the smell of the blood coming out of the bear’s wounds. The bear knowing he was close to death now, threw the panther across the arena until he hit the concrete wall. A loud crack was heard in the silence when he hit.
The bear began wobbling a few seconds before he hit the ground. Another shifter entered the arena to check on the two downed animals. It appeared the bear was indeed dead, but the panther was somehow alive, declaring him the winner. Cheers erupted from many, others were cursing their bad luck at betting on the bear. Betting like this was a race track with prized horses, not people’s lives. The panther began changing back into his human form, no one helped him get up or walk back towards the concrete door at which he entered in through. I seemed to be the only one watching him anymore.
The King and Queen eventually made their way out of the stands, shaking hands with other vampires as they went. I myself felt sickened by what I had seen, knowing someday I might be in the same position. I held my head low and watched my feet move with a feeling of defeat as I tried to come up with some way of escape. I wanted to be home with my family far away from the death that perfumed the air here. Once back in the mansion we stopped at the white staircase again, even though I could feel the King and Queen looking at me I refused to look up. I knew hatred and revenge would burn in my gaze, and wouldn’t that make them want to keep me alive. The Queen came to take my decision away from me by bringing my chin up to look at her. Her eyes were the color of emeralds, they seemed to be looking for something but only found hurt for the shifter that was now dead.
“Do not morn for your kind Lana, it will make you weak, and we both know that is far from what is in your nature” She said as if she knew me. “Why would you do that to us, make us fight when there is no reason to.” I whispered angrily.
“You are nothing like them Lana you should not put yourself in their category” she said nonchalantly.
“I change in to an animal just like they do, how is that any different?” I asked in a completely calm voice which surprised me since all I was currently feeling was the need to kill.
“You are different Lana make no mistake of that” she said grabbing my arm making her point when her eyes began blazing and I didn’t burn from her touch. I just stared at her with anger. She removed her hand from my arm and looked down at my smooth untouched skin.
“See different” she said as she trailed her nails over my arm. I jerked back in reaction; I didn’t want to ever be touched again. She smiled widely seeming pleased with my discomfort.
“You will be so fun to break Lana, I honestly can’t wait”
I felt my stomach bottom out as Robert came over and took Amelia in a hard kiss that would have scorched the walls. Once they were done with their gross display, Amelia leaned heavily on Robert’s chest watching me. I had a really bad feeling she was thinking about my blood running across her body. Robert’s eyes were slowly assessing me so I was grateful when they both turned on their heels and began walking up stairs.
My relief was short lived as I felt the collar send tiny shocks down my spine. Looking up I saw that Robert and Amelia were both waiting at the top of the stairs watching me with sexual interest. The shocks got stronger as I struggled away from the vampires now trying to haul me up to the King and Queen. My body hurt by the time I was released, dropped to the ground on my side in what could only be the Royal bed chamber. I started shaking with over adrenaline and fear for what I would have to do here this night. The bedroom had no windows to be seen, the walls were painted blood re
d which seemed to be every vampires theme. The orgy sized bed had silk black sheets on it that matched the black canopy netting hanging from the ceiling. I closed my eyes taking a deep breathe to calm my nerves. I had to live through this.
The queen closed the door behind her when she came in. I just stood in the middle of the room frozen in place as she began undressing. Her white sheer gown fell to the floor in a puddle, she wasn’t wearing any undergarments to speak of. When Robert started doing the same I turned quickly around not wanting to see anymore vampire flesh. This gave Amelia the opportunity she was waiting for apparently, as she began unzipping the back of my dress with one quick hank. I spun around so quick the room blurred for a moment.
“There you go, that must feel much better.” she said smiling, while showing her fangs. “What are you doing?” I asked in a chocked whisper trying very hard not to cry as Robert came over and began pulling the dress off my shoulders. I put my hands up holding the damn thing in place until I got some answers.
“We love tigers, Lana. So fierce, so playful, so… yummy” Robert said looking at were my hands held the dress up. With a sharp yank that had me gasping Robert disposed of the offending garment by throwing what was left of it across the room like confetti. I was naked, and pretty sure from the looks I was getting from the vampires that this was only the beginning.
“You smell delicious when you’re scared” Amelia stated as she came up behind me. She was only an inch shorter than I, and her nose was to my neck. I tried to jump away but Richard was there to intercept me. A low warning growl came out of my mouth as his hands clamped around my arms, making me face the Queen with the King now at my back. Amelia seductively walked over, like a cat in heat. I glared at her as she approached me. I wasn’t able to move my hands or squirm at all; Richard’s strength was so great.
“This could be the most pleasurable experience of your life, or the most brutal.” Amelia stated as she began kissing my neck. I felt bile rise up into my throat and quickly swallowed it. Amelia was kissing her way down my body now while Robert stood, impatient. He bent me forwards by the hips. He couldn’t see much since he was about my height.
