Brad R. Torgersen has been nominated for the Hugo award three times, has won two Analog Science Fiction and Fact magazine AnLab readers’ choice awards, has been nominated for the Nebula award, and is a winner of the Writers of the Future award. A full-time computer geek by day, he’s also a Chief Warrant Officer in the Army Reserve on weekends. At night, he writes some of the genre’s best new science fiction. Brad’s first novel, The Chaplain’s War, which is based on his Hugo-nominated novella, “The Chaplain’s Legacy”, was released by Baen Books in October 2014. Married for 20 years, he lives in Utah with his wife, daughter, two cats, and two dogs.
Brian Trent is a writer of science fiction, fantasy, and horror. He is a 2013 winner in the Writers of the Future Contest for his story “War Hero” and has sold work to Analog Science Fiction and Fact, Daily Science Fiction, Apex (winning the 2013 Story of the Year Reader’s Poll), Clarkesworld Magazine, Escape Pod, COSMOS, Strange Horizons, Penumbra, and more. He is also a novelist and screenwriter, and is currently developing two separate book series. Brian lives part-time in New England and full-time in imagination.
