Don't Come Looking For Love 3: Family Ties Page 21

by Natavia

  “So, what now?” she asked.

“We are still going to date but I’m not trying to live under the same roof right now. I’m also not trying to fuck you for a while. I slipped up that one day with you and I’m not trying to do that until I see that you really want to be with me. I can hear you talking but action speaks louder than words,” I said. She rolled her eyes.

“You want to fuck Takera, huh?” she asked.

“Shorty, on some real shit, I’m not thinking about fucking anyone. Some shit happened today and that shit got me trying to murder something,” I said.

  “What happened?” she asked me.

“Nothing!” I said, trying to change the subject.

“How do you expect us to get back together if you still doing the same shit, Kenjay?” That’s when I told her everything— Lenny and his ties to my uncle, him faking being retarded, and what happened to Shia and how Shia’s friend’s mother was in on it for money. I left out the part about her father though. Although she knew he was a smuggler, I wasn’t her shit. I told Lathan I wouldn’t say anything and I was sticking to that.

“That motherfucker! He did that to my god baby? My sweet lil’ Shia is so innocent. When are y’all going to kill him? I swear someone needs to cut his head off and that bitch! I didn’t even know Domo had a damn child! Britain and I wanted to hook him up with Tejah! That sneaky motherfucker! I hope Britain fucked Latisa up!” Latavia fussed with tears in her eyes. She started pacing back and forth, yelling and fussing.

“Britain and Tejah whipped her ass. I think the bitch blacked out,” I said.

I called Shia’s cellphone and she answered sadly.

“What’s up, baby girl?” I asked her.

“Hey, Uncle Kenjay,” she said. I could hear kids playing in the background. I heard Corey’s daughter Coren call someone a hoodrat. Coren’s lil’ ass was bad as shit!

“Latavia wants to talk to you.” I covered the phone then I told Latavia not to ask her about Domo. Latavia took the phone then started having a conversation with Shia. I watched the news to see if anything happened. So far, I didn’t see anything about Latisa and Domo. If they knew what was good for them they would keep their mouths shut.

  Sameer

I heard the nigga Domo slipped into a coma and Latisa was partially paralyzed. She might improve or she might not. Nobody had come forward and said anything. But the niggas that pulled up for Domo had to get knocked off. Corey said to give him a week, so he could find out who they were. I wasn’t trying to be sitting up in jail although those motherfuckers deserved it. It would’ve been too easy if O’Shea shot and killed Domo. Domo needed to get fucked up and suffer.

My phone rang and it was Narshae. She called me crying saying that Jameer beat her ass! Lo-Lo was in the kitchen fixing dinner and Teagan was in her room playing with her Barbie’s. Daytona hadn’t seen Teagan in a month since she dropped her off to me.

“What do you want me to do? Maybe you should call Bria up to tell her that her nigga is over there whipping your ass!” I said, watching UFC.

“I can’t do that, Sameer! She doesn’t know I’m fucking her man!” she cried into the phone.

“Well, shit, that’s y’all problems! What is my son doing?” I asked her.

“In his room. He is so scared of Jameer. I don’t know what to do. Please, just come back home,” she whispered. I looked at the phone then laughed.

“Fuck no! Bitch, you are crazy if you think I would even want you after you turned my brother against me. My own fucking brother pulled a gun on me because of you! I don’t want you!” I said. I could hear Jameer yelling in the background at her.

“Open up the door, bitch! You filthy bitch! You got me thinking Rylan is mine and he belongs to that bitch-ass nigga Arod? Open up the door, Narshae!” I heard Jameer banging on the door, yelling.

“Damn, Narshae! You a hoe like that? You can’t play with nigga’s feelings like that!” I said, disgusted.

“I’m so sorry! I’m so sorry! Arod came home from jail today and asked to see his son while Jameer was here! He and Jameer started fighting!” she said.

“He whipped Jameer’s ass, didn’t he?” I asked, laughing.

“No, Jameer whipped his ass!” she said.

“Well, damn! That nigga can’t fight then! Damn, Narshae! What the fuck is you calling me for though, young? You can beat Jameer up if you put your mind to it!” I fell out laughing.

I heard a loud bang and Narshae started screaming. Jameer was over there beating her ass. I could hear Rylan crying in the background.

I put on my J’s then headed towards the door.

“Where are you going?” Lo-Lo asked me.

“Pick up Rylan! Narshae is getting her ass beat and Jameer is going to jail. I need to pick him up before police get there!” I said.

“You need to stop running to that bitch, Sameer! I’m not liking this fucking shit! It’s always something between her and that bitch, Daytona! She calls here almost every day talking about we are stealing her daughter from her! This shit isn’t fair to me! What about me, Sameer? I been rocking with you through all of this shit! I been here with Teagan and all of that. I love that little girl! But you need to let the situation with Narshae go! I know you love Rylan but he isn’t your son! You are stressing yourself out!” Lo-Lo fussed.

“Rylan is my fucking son and I don’t need to explain a fucking thing to you! You know I’m not fucking Narshae or Daytona! So, what the fuck are you tripping for, huh?” I asked her. She threw the peppershaker at me and it clocked me upside the head.

“Young, what the fuck you do that shit for? You are acting like a straight-up bamma!” I was holding my head.

“Everything is always about Narshae! That bitch calls and you run to her, leaving me here with YOUR daughter! I am fucking pregnant, Sameer! Do you see my fucking stomach? I got to deal with your shit! You come in here all fucking beat up and can barely walk! And I still don’t know what the fuck happened that night!” she fussed, slamming pots.

“You want me to take Teagan to my mother’s crib?”

“Do what the fuck you want to do! Cook your own damn dinner! I’m taking my ass to my apartment!” Lo-Lo said, grabbing her purse then stormed out the crib. Maybe she was right but I couldn’t let Rylan go.

I took my shoes off then checked on Teagan. She was singing along to the move “Frozen” that she always watched. I went into her room and sat down on her floor with her. I ruffled her hair. She put her nose up. She was picking up Lo-Lo’s attitude already.

“What’s the matter with you?” I asked her laughing.

“You are messing up my hair! Did Logan leave? I heard her say she was going home. Is she coming back, Daddy?” she asked, playing with her dolls.

“I hope so. If she doesn’t, we are going to take her some flowers tomorrow. You can pick them out for daddy,” I said. She got excited.

“We need to take her some fried chicken with hot sauce. Logan loves fried chicken! Fried chicken and flowers are going to make Logan come back,” Teagan said. I laughed because Lo-Lo did love fried chicken.

The next day we picked up some flowers for Lo-Lo then I swung by Kenjay’s soul food spot to get Lo-Lo some fried chicken breast.

We pulled up to Lo-Lo’s complex. After we got out of the truck, Teagan ran up the steps as I walked behind her. Teagan knocked on the door.

“Knock harder, girl! She can’t hear those baby knocks,” I said, laughing. Teagan knocked harder. Moments later, Lo-Lo opened the door. Her face lit up once she saw all of the roses I had in my hand. She kissed Teagan then grilled me as she snatched the roses from me.

“So, that’s how you treat your man?” I asked Lo-Lo. She picked Teagan up then kissed her cheek again. She sat her on the barstool at the kitchen island. She fixed Teagan and herself a plate.

  “Seriously, Lo-Lo?” I asked her.

“Not now, Sameer! Don’t you see that the princess and I are having lunch? Take your ass in the living room u
ntil we’re done!” Lo-Lo said.

“You lucky you got to feed my seed or else I would dump that shit right in the trash! Put those roses in some water too!” I said, walking into the living room. The doorbell rang and I got up to answer it. I opened the door and it was Bria and Narshae.

“What the fuck!” I said not believing this shit. Narshae had a black eye and a bruised lip.

“Someone told Harpo to beat you, huh? What the fuck are you doing here?” I asked Narshae.

“We were on our way to the store and I saw you pull up! I’m so sorry to come here and please tell Lo-Lo I don’t want any trouble. But I cannot find Jameer and I was hoping he was with you,” Bria said with tears in her eyes.

“I kept telling her that Jameer wasn’t with you! She decided to stop over here,” Narshae said playing dumb. Bria wasn’t really that bad. She might nag and get fly at the mouth but she would give Jameer her last if he needed it. He was the only man she had ever been with.

“What do we have here?” Lo-Lo said, smiling. Bria is going to find out about her man today! I thought to myself.

“I’m sorry, Lo-Lo, I came here because I saw Sameer pulling up as we were driving by. I’m just looking for Jameer!” Bria said sadly. Narshae looked at Lo-Lo, hoping she wouldn’t rat her out.

“Well, why you don’t ask Narshae where Jameer is? Last time I checked Jameer has been over there playing daddy to his supposed-to-be son! Damn, y’all are some messy-ass hoes!” Lo-Lo said laughing.

  “Excuse me?” Bria asked.

“Narshae is fucking your man! That’s why Sameer and Jameer aren’t talking! That bitch is fucking all y’all lives up!” Lo-Lo said licking her fingers, smiling.

“I came here to be peaceful and you ain’t shit but a lying bitch! You’re the home wrecker! You are fucking Narshae’s man and you are pregnant by him!” Bria screamed.

“Poor lil’ Tink Tink! It’s okay, boo! You can be in denial all day and all night! I know where my man is at twenty-four seven. Your dumb ass was knocking on my damn door like a Jehovah’s witness! Carry on, Bria, and take smut bitch with you!” Lo-Lo said. Narshae grilled Lo-Lo.

“Matter of fact, I feel like being messy!” Lo-Lo said, grabbing her phone. She dialed out and Jameer answered on the third ring.

“Hey, Jameer, can we pick up Rylan today?” Lo-Lo asked him on speakerphone.

“Ask his fucking daddy! I’m not his daddy!” Jameer spat.

“I thought you was since Sameer isn’t!” Lo-Lo said, smiling.

“I thought so too! Got me out here dissing my shorty for this freak bitch!” Jameer said. I always knew that nigga wasn’t smart when it came to creeping. I honestly didn’t think he would ever cheat but the nigga shouldn’t have been talking to Lo-Lo. I would’ve been hung up on her ass!

“Okay, Jameer, that’s all I wanted,” Lo-Lo said hanging up, smiling.

“BOOM! The fat lady just took a big shit and clogged the toilet up! This is messsyyyyyyy!” Lo-Lo sang.

Bria had tears in her eyes as Narshae grilled Lo-Lo then tried charging into her. I pushed Narshae as hard as I could and she fell.

“Bitch, get the fuck away from her!” I told Narshae. Bria jumped on Narshae in the hallway. Lo-Lo shut the door leaving it cracked open. She was peeking out watching them fight.

“Damn, Bria lost her man and she is getting her ass whipped! Bria, knee her in the stomach, bitch! How are you going to let her take your man then whip your ass? Bite the bitch or something!” Lo-Lo tried cheering her on. I went into the kitchen and dug into Lo-Lo’s food. Teagan was so into her chicken she hadn’t said one word.

“Bria, beat her ass! Scratch her face! That’s it! Get her ass! AWWWWW HELLLLLL NOOOOO! Bria, how are you going to let her drag you down the steps? She rode over here with you!” Lo-Lo laughed then shut the door.

She picked up the phone to call the police.

“Yes, hi, there are two crack-heads fighting outside of my door. They are scaring my child and they are banging against my door. I think one of them has a knife! Please hurry!” Lo-Lo fake cried. After she hung up the phone she came into the kitchen.

“You feel better now?” I asked her.

  “Yup!” she answered.

I heard police sirens getting closer to the building minutes later. Lo-Lo looked out the window.

“What are you neighborhood watch? Why the fuck are you doing all of this shit, Lo-Lo?” I asked. She waved me off then burst into laughter.

“The cop just slammed Bria down on the sidewalk! Narshae is trying to kick her but another officer tackled her,” she said, laughing harder with tears in her eyes.

“Just know if they get shot it’s your fault. And don’t be on Facebook talking about black lives matter. You did it!” I said, causing her to double over. Lo-Lo thought that shit was funny. I actually felt sorry for Bria because she loved my brother.

  The next day…

I walked into Fountain of Youth hair salon. I heard this was a good place to get Teagan’s hair done. Lo-Lo had to go work, so she couldn’t do it. Daytona’s simple ass didn’t know how to do shit but be an unfit mother.

Gary came switching out of the back. When he saw me he tried to make a run for it. I already knew he worked there but this nigga was being extra.

“Gary, why the hell is you running? I’m not chasing your tall ass,” I said. One of the shampoo girls licked her lips at me. I got a closer look and it was Lema.

“Hey, Sameer. How are you going to just dump me like that?” Lema asked.

Raja came walking out of the back. I didn’t like that lil’ loud mouthed bitch! A midget jumped on my back in elementary school and bit the hell out of me. I haven’t like midgets since. Rico said she wasn’t a midget but that nigga was lying to himself.

“Damn, Sameer, you get around, don’t you?” Raja asked, popping her gum.

  “Didn’t you?” I asked her.

“You are lucky your daughter is right there or else I would cuss you out! How are you going to do Lema like that?” she asked. The whole shop grilled me. I hated walking into salons. There were always some miserable-ass females that ganged up on that one nigga. I guess it was my day.

“Gary, take Teagan in the back to get her some snacks.”

“Ummmmm, Tataliscious. Is this pretty tatted-up nigga your new boo?” one of the hairdressers asked him.

“No, that’s my ignorant-ass cousin,” he said, grabbing Teagan’s hand.

“When can I see you again?” Lema asked me.

“Probably when you get your eyes fixed,” I said to her. Raja rolled her eyes at me. The hairdresser blew me a kiss.

“Why are you so damn rude, Sameer? You slept with her!” Raja said, falling out.

“No the hell I didn’t! Who I fucked isn’t the same bitch I woke up to. They were two different people. I woke up and Lema was in my bed with a stocking cap on her head, looking like an old-ass man! Get the fuck out of here with that bullshit! Why are you telling my business, Lema?” She pulled out her phone then started showing them pictures.

“Damn, Sameer, you packing like that?” one of the hairdressers asked.

“Seriously, Lema? You took pictures of my dick while I was sleep?” I asked her.

“I knew you was going to deny me, Sameer! You told me you wanted to be with me!” she said sadly. I must have fucked her real good because this funny looking ass broad was in her feelings.

“He needs a real woman, Lema!” the hairdresser said.

“Shut up, Draya! I’m all the women he needs,” Lema said. Raja fell out laughing.

“Gary, get your ass out here before I call animal control on these broads! Lema out here drooling like she got rabies! Cross-eyed fucka!” I said taking a seat, laughing. The girl Draya laughed at Lema. I could tell they picked on Lema a lot because she tried to fit in.

“So, who is your woman, Sameer? I know a sexy, young thing like yourself is cuffed up,” Draya said, licking her lips. I couldn’t lie, Draya was sexy. She was slim but
curvy. Her Mohawk with purple curls brought out her light skin. Her small but plump breasts almost spilled out of the salon-logo collared shirt she had on. She switched to the cabinet, taking out a few bottles of shampoo. Her ass sat up just right. I licked my lips as I checked her out.

  “Niggas ain’t shit!” Raja said.

“Neither are the bitches who fuck with ain’t-shit niggas! Now, speak your piece on that one, young!” Gary came from the back holding Teagan’s hand as she sucked on her lollipop.

“How long is it going to be before she gets in the chair?” I asked him.

“Give me five minutes!” Gary said, rolling his eyes.

“I didn’t know you had family, Tata,” Draya said, washing a client’s hair.

“See, Draya, you keep on talking to me, cunt, and watch how I fire you! Speak to the gods only when they address the peasants,” Gary said. The shop roared with laughter. Draya laughed then blew him a kiss.
