Leader of the Pack Page 9

by Lynn Richards

He run his hands over back, her waist, legs. Not once did she murmur a complaint. He grinned. His woman had finally realized how much he loved her, how much he desire her. One hand went between her legs, building the tension there. Jared slid his long, rough tongue across her neck, firmly biting the soft, silky skin. Her sex clamped around him, hot, tight and wet. He smiled smugly as he felt her straining to accept him. She had wanted the beast, now she had him.

Sensing she neared her pinnacle, he whispered in her ear. “Make me yours, Emily.”

She gasped at his words and he knew she understood what he was asking. She placed her hands on his shoulders and ground herself against him. He felt the rising tide, just a few more strokes. Yes, there it was. As waves of pleasure crested over him, he felt her go rigid, signaling her own release. She clenched her pussy and rode his straining cock. As his seed spilled inside, she leaned forward, her white teeth gleaming in the dark. Bending down, her hair falling like waves of darkness around them, she took the last step to bind them together. Biting the hair roughened skin of his chest above his right nipple she claimed him as her mate.

This time the pack’s voices joined their leader’s as his howl echoed through the night.

Look for Val and Rachel’s story coming soon in 2012.

Excerpt from Bite Me by Lynn Richards

She really was going to have to do something about him, Rachel thought wearily.

Taking a long wooden stake from inside her black leather trench coat, she plunged it into the heart of the unconscious vampire sprawled at her feet. She watched with morbid fascination as his body turned to ash and the wind carried away the dusty residue. It seemed as if the Hollywood horror movies had gotten something right after all. But then they probably hired a vamp as a consultant.

Dear God, she thought, when was it going to end? It had been four long months since her life had been turned upside down, sideways and inside out.

And all because of a man.

Not the vamp she had just sent to his own personal hell.

And not the man lurking in the shadows.

But a man, vampire, who had wanted to use her as his own pretty play thing and personal snack machine. She’d been on the verge of falling for the mysterious stranger like a ton of bricks. One minute she was interviewing him for a story and the next she was dating him, thinking she’d found Mr. Right at last and ready to consummate the relationship with a big bang, so to speak. Thank God, and the forces that be, she’d seen his true character before she’d invited him into her bed. ‘They’ – those forces in the universe that were suppose to protect the weak and innocent – hadn’t save her, or six other women from being kidnapped and held for days in dark, damp basements. Helpless and frightened out of their minds. Beaten and drained of blood, over and over again.

From the corner of her eye she saw her shadow move. For some odd reason she could sense this man’s every move. It was as if she were connected to him in some odd way. But he was a day late and a dollar short. If those powers thought to send someone to her now, they were wrong to do so. She was not longer weak. And she certainly wasn’t innocent.

Sighing, she turned to confront her nemesis and would be lover.

“When are you going to stop following me?” she asked, walking to the stand of oak trees where he waited.

“When you stop believing you can take on the world and win.”
