Introduction
No one believed that they would make it out of the hood and be successful. And, none of them believed the cost they would pay would bring such heartbreak and disappointment. Trey, JJ, Tamara and Q depended on each other for survival. Their friendship was rock solid and no one was ever going to destroy it. They vowed to be there for each other to the end, regardless of the trials or tribulations and none was going to destroy their relationship.
Trey Edwards is the CEO of Vision Mobile Net, a multi-million-dollar cellular phone company that is the new trendsetter in the mobile phone industry. His company continues to prosper by merging the hip-hop culture into the phone industry with the latest social media toys. More importantly, the biggest hip-hop Moguls are his most valued clients. Subsequently, his personal life is the complete opposite, trying to escape the wrath of the one woman who controls him with sexual exploits and manipulation. Octavia is nothing more than a gold digger. But things are about to change after he meets Carlotta, the woman who totally changes his life, but not without facing the drama and wrath of Octavia.
Tamara Robinson is better known as T-Bird, because of the sultry sound of her voice. She’s the hottest artist in the industry and at the top of her game, while topping the charts with hits records. Her greatest is about to release and finally life is getting better after divorcing Shaun and meeting Darnell. But as they say, the grass isn’t always as green on the other side, as she experiences even more devastation in the form of her new lover Darnell and his explosive secret.
Quincy Anderson, better known as 'Q,' is the CEO of Corporate Jet Travel Services. His clients are high-profile celebrities and business elites from all facets of the business world thanks to Trey, T-Bird and JJ. Q is determined that nothing will separate him from living the good life. He’s a consummate bachelor who can have any woman he wants. As far as he’s concerned, being in a relationship would be a catastrophe. It means the more after witnessing the experiences of his closest friends. He’s a playboy, but that is about to change after meeting T-Bird’s cousin Desiree.
Jay Jones is an entertainment lawyer and entrepreneur. He’s better known as JJ and represents the biggest names in the sports, and music industries. If you read his high school yearbook, it clearly states, most successful. JJ was a natural born visionary with the Midas Touch. He also owns the hottest club in the northeast, known as The Tea Pot and married to Vivian, one of the most beautiful women to lay eyes on. However, he is faced with a dilemma that is jeopardizing everything they’ve built together. She embezzled money from the foundations account established by T-Bird.
Chapter 1
My Heart Is Yours
T-Bird had cum so hard she dropped the phone on the floor, leaving Darnell on the other end to pull himself together. More importantly, she was stunned and a lot more than interested about the voice she'd distinctly heard in the background.
“T-Bird, baby...where are you. Are you there?” Darnell shouted out.
With her body still numb and in tremors, she picked up the phone.
“Bebe… Oh my God I’m about to go crazy. I never felt like this. I wish you were here right now. Uhm..bebe...what was that sound I heard? Are you alone? I swear I thought I heard another voice on the phone. What’s going on?”
“Come on baby. Another voice, are you serious? After all we just experienced? I don’t know what you’re talking about. Baby you’re blowing my high right now. There’s no one here. Just me and the sound of the television. You won’t believe all the cum that’s between my fingers and on the sheets of this bed.” T-Bird took a deep breathe.
“I know. I can barely talk right now, I’m so wet..” She then attempted to put a pillow between her legs to ease the desire of having Darnell inside of her.
“Well that should give you something to think about until we see each other.” He continued. “You better get some rest. I don’t know about you but I have to get cleaned up. Why don’t you call me tomorrow and let me know what Desiree says about me getting away a few days to be with you.”
“Okay I’ll do that. Thanks for the night cap. I really enjoyed it. I just wish it was the real thing. On that note I’d better freshen up too. You have a good night bebe.”
T-Bird had no idea Darnell was actually there in the city and at a hotel visiting Lamar. It was his voice she'd heard, as he watched Darnell cum, desiring to suck every bit of it off of his dick. However, Lamar got his treat earlier and now Darnell’s intention was to go to T-Bird and take care of the unfinished business they'd started on the phone. He certainly had to remove any doubt of her even thinking she'd heard a woman’s voice.
Thirty minutes later, there was a knock at her door. Her body wrapped in a towel and still moist from the shower, she looked through the peek hole. She had no inkling she would find Darnell standing at her door. Immediately she opened it, pulling him inside with an excited look of surprise on her face. The towel wrapped around her fell to floor.
Darnell didn’t say a word. He simply picked her up and carried her to the bed. The anticipation made her pussy wet all over again as she pulled him close while removing his shirt.
“Bebe why are you doing me like this?” she asked but got no answer. He just grabbed her by both legs, spreading them wide and drove his face right into her slick wetness.
She could feel his tongue sliding inside her as she held his head tightly between her legs before letting out a moan. Once again she began to cum, unable to elude his tongue and the juices melting into her soul. This time the moment was all too real. He then grabbed her wrist while mounting her as she wrapped her legs around his waist.
“I wanted to do everything possible to turn you on before making you aware that I was actually here...” he lied smoothly as he looked into her eyes.
Before he could say another word, she put her hands over his mouth. “I believe you’ve made your point very clear. I want you to fuck me, bebe.” She then proved her point her by replacing her hand with her tongue.
With that being said, Darnell didn’t wasted another minute giving her what she desired, thrusting his body hard against hers. Like music, their bodies created their own rhythm. He began to squeeze her tightly before letting out a sigh as sweat ran down his face, trying to hold back the coming explosion. T-Bird couldn’t help but scream out his name as she began to cum again. It was a night to remember. T-Bird got exactly what she wanted and Darnell was able to camouflage being with Lamar.
As the next morning approached, the alarm clock buzzed and Darnell had to leave to get back to the airport to return to Miami. Darnell had a dark side; there were secrets about him that were yet to be uncovered. As for
Lamar, he was willing to accept that Darnell was just a bisexual man as long as he was able to get what wanted from their friendship.
Sitting in his seat on the plane, with his eyes closed, he couldn’t help thinking how he had T-Bird, wrapped around his finger. He was turning her out. Not only that, he was being a dog. Yet a dog with a different bark, as he attempted to rationalize how long he would be able to elude the truth. The truth of exposure; Darnell he actually gay as hell! Just to think, he was now fighting his own demons, realizing he wanted his cake and to eat it too.
Darnell had been turned out by his drunk ass uncle, who'd been locked up and was used to indulging gay men in jail. Sadly enough, he found a way to lure Darnell into his web of sadistic behavior. No matter how many times he tried telling his mother, she didn’t believe him and as they say, his life went on. Those demons now had him confused about the attributes of a real man.
Nevertheless, he could smell her scent all over him and it was strangely exciting and disgusting simultaneously. Just as they had done at the hotel on their first meeting, only this time, it was his turn to vanish into the morning hours without anyone having a clue.
As for T-Bird, a new day was before her. Barely able to get out of bed, she was still in disbelief that Darnell had actually come to see her, wore her ass out and gone was again. Laying there, her phone began to beep with messages she'd obviously missed. The first message was from Arnett, Josh’s brother. He wanted to find out what time to meet with her to present his resume for the tours he’d done managing other artists. The next was from Andre, Shaun’s protégé and partner. He was in California and had heard songs from her new album while listening to the radio.
"Hey T-Bird. It’s me, Andre. I’m out here in L.A. I can’t believe how much I’m hearing your name. Your song is everywhere on the radio. By the way, how are things going with you and Shaun? Are you guys still together? He called a few times. I’m really hoping he gets his head back on straight; he’s a good brother. You know? And he taught me everything I know and how to make some serious money, man. Nobody knows this business like him. I’ll be in town tomorrow and will hit you on the hip as soon as I land. Okay? Later."
T-Bird just began to smile and wrote down his message in excitement; he had no idea that she was considering him for her manager on the tour. There was going to be plenty of time to talk about her and Shaun and how they were finally divorced.
The last message was from JJ. He was calling her back to ask her to meet him for lunch. Although she was planning to meet with Arnett, she needed JJ at that meeting to get his opinion on rather or not Arnett was the right person to manage her.
Finally, after writing down all the messages. she drifted off to sleep again, still thinking about Darnell and the night they'd had together.
“Wake up, wake up everybody it's 8 o’clock a.m. and the traffic’s flowing with no delays if you’re traveling out there and going across the G.W.B. For those commuters coming in to the city from New Jersey, all is clear on the N.J. Turnpike northbound.,” DJ Lock Down said, as he gave all the news and weather updates.
“And for all you lovers out there who can’t wait another minute, listen to the number one single tipping the charts right now and holding it down on the Billboard countdown for the fourth week in a row, Ms. Tamara 'T-Bird' Robinson's "Can’t Wait Another Minute." I don’t have to tell anybody about this joint because it’s the real deal. Not only that, but anybody who missed her album release party at The Tea Pot, I don’t have enough tissue to dry your eyes!” ...
“...You missed the hottest party of the summer. Everybody and their mama was there. So don’t be mad at me. We told you in advance when she was here in the studio doing her thing with us live. Even the brothers will have to agree. The sister has really got it going on, with her fouine, green-eyed self and that’s a giddy up….no joke!”
T-Bird forgot she had set the alarm to go off to listen to DJ Lock Down’s morning show and was in happy shock at how he was giving her big props on the air as she laid there listening. Her hit single was taking over the radio stations in every city. Before she could even get up, Trey was calling.
“Hey T... what’s up? Wow! I’m on my way to Connecticut for a business meeting and I’m listening to DJ Lock Down. I can’t believe the accolades he just gave you on air. It just doesn’t get any better than that. DJ Lock Down is real people, baby. You need to send him an email or something to let him know you appreciate him shouting you out like that. You know what I mean? What did we tell you at your house yesterday? It’s your time.”
“Trey, you are such a sweetheart,” she said, rolling over in bed. “You’re making my day and it hasn’t even started yet.”
“The best feeling in the world is knowing you’ve reached your destination, so celebrate that you’ve arrived,” Trey continued. “Hey, enjoy your day. I’m pulling up at my meeting as we speak. I’ll talk to you later, and just as a reminder, don’t forget about the dinner with Carlotta and her mother.”
“Sure thing. I really want to get to know this mystery woman Carlotta.”
Trey let out a loud laugh. “Alright then, let’s make it do what it do baby.”
After hanging up the phone, T-Bird got up. She felt on top of the world after listening to DJ Lock Down and then talking to Trey. The first thing she did was call JJ a second time, although feeling her body still recovering from the night before.
“Hey, T. I was in the shower listening to WK 103.9 and heard your song "Lover, Lover." Then when I got out, I caught the last part of DJ Lock Down shouting you out. I mean that was fire! Just remember what I told you yesterday at your dining room table. This is the time to think about your investments. So tell me who are you considering to manage you? I know it was only yesterday that we talked about it, but the train is still moving and in this business you have to stay on top of your game.”
“I know babe, I know,” T-Bird responded. “I’m really trying to hold it all together. I truly respect knowing what Shaun was doing for me as my manager. There’s a whole lot of work on both sides of the fence being an artist and trying to handle your business. And to answer your question, I’m meeting with Arnett at 1 p.m.”
CHAPTER 2
Spreading My Wings
“I’ve heard some negative things about him from Trent and that he didn’t pay his people for a lot of the shows. I’m not sure what to think. That’s why I need you to be there to help me feel him out. I know you’ll be able to see through him.”
“You damn right!” JJ said. “You know it’s my nature to be that way and you know I’ve got your back. Nobody’s going to come up in our camp and try to take advantage of you; especially not right in front of my face. If Arnett is no good for the tour, then why use him?
“Tell you what. Why don’t we have Arnett meet us at the club?” T-Bird suggested.
“That sounds like a good idea. Call him and tell him to meet us there,” JJ replied.
“I’ll call you back after I speak with him,” T-Bird continued. After hanging up with JJ she gave him a call.
“Hello, may I speak to Arnett?”
“Hello, this is Arnett.”
“Hi, it’s Tamara Robinson. How are you? I got your message last night and would like to know if we can get together to discuss the possibility of you being my manager?”
“Sure,” Arnett said with barely contained excitement. “Tell me where you’d like to meet and I’m there!”
“Why don’t we meet at the Tea Pot?” T-Bird asked.
“Great, I’ll be there.”
“I’ll be waiting for you in the lobby and we’ll have a bite to eat and talk,” T-Bird said.
“Cool! I’ll see you then."
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
T-Bird met JJ at the Tea Pot at 12:45 p.m. To her surprise, Q was also with him. He and JJ had been together earlier planning a business trip for Q’s executives flying to Chicago to finish the merger with his company and JJ had asked him to sit in on the meeti
ng.
“What’s up bebe? I didn’t know you were going to be here too,” T-Bird said. “I have the pleasure of eating lunch with two fouine ass brothers for free.”
They all laughed. Q shook his head. “So what’s up with this Arnett guy? I heard he’s a piece of work from an associate I know. He may mean well but unfortunately he’s not a man of his word. You better be careful.”
“I heard that too, so believe me I’m just going to listen and look at his resume. I already know he’s not going to get the job. Oh, here he comes now...At least he’s on time.”
“Hi Ms. Robinson.”
“Hello. You can call me T-Bird. Everyone does. Thank you for coming. Let me introduce you to my dearest friends who are in the business: Quincy Anderson and Jay Johnson.”
“Hello gentlemen. Nice to meet you.”
“Likewise,” Q said, while JJ nodded his head.
“Let’s get down to business, shall we? Do you have your resume?” she asked.
“Yes I do. Here it is right here. I’m sure you’ll find it in order.”
“Thank you and would you like to order some lunch or something?" T-Bird asked.
A waiter came over to their table.
“Sure. As a matter of fact, let me have one of those pizza burgers, I heard this place is famous for that and a side order of apple cobbler and a 7-Up please.”
“And I’ll have a taco salad with Vinaigrette dressing,” T-Bird said.
JJ ordered his favorite honey chicken wings and Q ordered his regular tuna burger on a wheat bun with coleslaw.
“I’ve been in the business for ten years now and have worked with the best of the best as you can see,” Arnett pointed to his bio.
