  Chapter Nineteen

The threat from my mother seemed to be just the push my father, and my brothers needed. In the coming months after his heart attack, my father slowly started to do more for others. Not just the upper class but the lower class as well. He set up scholarships for the poorer children, and the only criteria he included was that they have a great GPA and want to study business. He donated money to various homeless shelters. He even paid to have the urgent care fitted with top of the line equipment. He never posed for any publicity shots, and he lost quite a few of his so-called friends, but those that stayed around were more loyal than they had been before. They were coming to him for advice and to join him in some of his new ventures. My brothers, on the other hand, moved much quicker. In fact, too quick for me to believe that they’d never gone against father's wishes about who they could do business with.

Almost overnight, there were dozens and dozens of successful charities all connected to the Ingram name, and none of them catered to the top one percent. Cooper, the oldest and the one set to take over the larger portion of the family companies, had several orphanages situated across the country, all for children whose parents abused drugs or alcohol. He had fostered three children on his own already. All of them poor and definitely not something my father would have approved of.

“Mr. Ingram, where do you want me to put this?”

I turned to look at the young man, one of the same ones who cursed at me the first day I arrived here at Falls Village. He needed a job, and I’m in the process of setting up my new emergency services location, so I was able to help him out.

“You can leave it in the medical area, that is all stuff for the EMTs” I pointed to the far right where the medical bay was.

I had managed to get in good with the mayor of the town, and he agreed to sign off on a small emergency services department. It consisted of two ambulances, a small water truck, as well as access to a boat and cars for search and rescue. It was a small outfit, but I was proud of it. I was prouder that my father helped me to get it started. It didn’t hurt that I was a bit of a celebrity or that they were turning my family story into a movie.

The publicity was great for the town, it brought lots of visitors, but I hated it. Every second of it, I hated it. Not only were people constantly questioning me about the YouTube video that had now gone viral, but that bastard Callan had somehow managed to convince people it was my castle the famous ballplayer was staying at, instead of his. So every day, I woke up to at least half a dozen mewling and begging women all of who either wanted a tour of me or my property.

I actually missed the days when people would run away in fear when they saw me. Now I couldn’t get them away.

I walked over to the back door, but just as I was about to open it, it burst open, and Frances barreled into me.

“Oh, crap!” She reached out for me as I stumbled backward and landed with a thud on my ass.

“Baby!” I shouted in annoyance, out of all the things that she was known for doing. Running through doors was probably the most dangerous, and for some reason, I was always on the side of the injured in that scenario.

“Yikes! What are you standing so close to the door for?” She knelt next to me and tenderly examined my face for any damage. This time there was none.

“What do you mean? Baby, we have been through this. People walk through doorways. Not run.” I growled.

“Next time, walk a little faster.” She shrugged and tried to stand up.

I reached up and pulled her back down, “I think I need further medical assistance.”

She chuckled lightly before laying back down on the floor and draping one leg over mine. “Is that so? It was a nasty hit. Maybe I need to give you a full workup.”

I smiled and hitched her leg up higher so she can feel how much she turns me on.

She snuggled closer to me on the floor, “Always ready.” She whispered in my ear before she kissed me softly on my neck.

“Only for you,” I grumbled as I pulled her body off the floor and settled her on top of me.

“Hmm, now that’s what I like to hear.” She settled on top of me and kissed me passionately.

I grabbed the back of her neck and kept her locked to me. I have never been so addicted to a woman in my life, but I just couldn’t get enough of her. My free hand gripped her ass as she rocked against me. When I pushed up hard against her, and she groaned in need, I was lost.

I tugged at her shirt, trying to take it off so I could see her gorgeous body.

“Carson, babe, wait.” She kissed me but then pulled her face away before coming back and kissing me again. “Babe, we are in the middle of the floor.” She whispered against my mouth.

She was right. The last thing I wanted was for someone to walk in on us while I was deep inside of her. Her body, her moans, her whimpers were just for me. I sat up quickly and made sure she was able to wrap her legs as tightly as she could around my waist.

“Hold on,” I growled in her ear as I stood up with her still attached to me. I used my forearm to keep her secured to my body. I turned to see where we could go, but I really couldn’t focus. She kept rolling her hips, and with every contact, sparks flashed in my eyes.

I looked to where my office would be, but the door still hadn’t been installed, then I looked to the fire department section, but all of their bunks were the communal style. There was no one in the building, a few workers putting away random items, but I still didn’t want to risk it.

“Carson, I need you now. I’ve started without you.” She whispered in my ear as she rubbed herself hard as her body shuddered at the contact.

“You better not. Wait for me, Baby.” I pulled her head back using her hair so I could gaze into her lust-filled eyes.

“Hurry.” She moaned and tried to pull herself away from me, to lessen the contact. I cursed myself slightly for not having a plan. I just couldn’t help myself.

I looked over to the emergency services bay and went straight for it. It wasn’t going to be super comfortable, but it would be private.

Frances turned around when I moved my hand to open the door.

“Carson!” She turned her head back to scold me, but I couldn’t care less. It was mine, and more importantly, it was private. Besides, this ambulance had never been used before, so it was the cleanest place available.

I pulled her face down to mine as I placed her down on the edge of the entrance of the ambulance I used my now free hands to pinch her sensitive nipples through her shirt. She purred against me as her body became accustomed to the feeling.

“You want me to stop? Do you want to wait to feel me deep inside of you?” I whispered in her ear.

  “Oh, fuck, Carson.”

“Just say the word, Baby, say stop,” I let my hand trail down her body and settle on the damp mound between her legs. I rubbed firmly but slowly as her head fell forward on my shoulder. “And I will.”

She pulled away from me abruptly. I stopped my hand. She’d never told me to stop once in the times we’ve been intimate, but that didn’t mean that she couldn’t.

She stood up in the back of the ambulance and turned away from the entrance. She walked slowly, deeper into the small space. When I saw her shirt open, I jumped up behind her. I closed the doors and made sure they were locked before I turned back to her. When I turned around, she was already waiting for me on the small cot. I wasted no time. I pulled her body down on the cot and yanked down her pants. I heard one string of the small thong tear at the force.

  “You’re a fucking beast.”

I smirked at her as I undid my pants quickly, I pulled mine down just far enough while I pulled her legs up and rested them on my shoulder. There was no way I was going to be able to fit on the cot with her. I was just too big. I angled my body, so my knee was rested on the cot while I pressed only halfway into her.

I slammed my hand against the hard metal cabinet above my head as I pulled out and plunged in further. Frances and I had b
een intimate quite a few times already, but every time felt just as good as the last. Intoxicating, consuming, and utterly addicting.

“More, please.” She pawed at me.

I couldn’t hold back if I wanted to. Finally, when I was seated inside of her, I set a fast pace that would get both of us to the finish line.

Frances faster than I. “Baby,” I leaned down and swiped the pad of my thumb over her bottom lip, “You know what I want.”

“Mmmhmm. Harder, Carson, and it’s yours.” She gripped my wrist as I slammed into her. The entire bus swayed and jerked with our movements, but that didn’t stop me.

“Carson, yes!” she bit down on her bottom lip, her eyebrows creased slightly, and her eyes fluttered close. God, I loved it when she came.

I let my head fall back slightly, the hair from my ponytail swinging against my upper back.

  *Bang, Bang, Bang*

“Who’s in there?” A voice yelled through the door.

Frances squealed and tried to sit up, but I pushed her back down and put a hand over her mouth. I didn’t stop.

She looked at me like I was crazy but giggled softly under my hand until I swerved my hips, and her eyes fluttered shut again.

“What?” I screamed through the door.

  “Boss?”

“Yeah. What?” I called back as I kept my pace.

“Um, is everything ok? I can’t open the door. Are you stuck?”

  “No, go away. I’m fine.”

There was a pause, but I didn’t hear him leave.

“What are you doing?” he asked through the door.

“I’m fixing pipes, go away!” I yelled as I felt my balls pull up. As distracted as I was at the moment, my body was already on the path to release, and it didn’t matter if someone tried to break the door down, I was going to cum.

Finally, I heard him move away. I was grateful because my last bit of willpower just disappeared, and I grabbed hold of her waist and pounded into her. One drop of sweat fell from my forehead onto her taut stomach.

“Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.” I growled as my hips jerked, and my muscles contracted. I slammed into her one last time as my orgasm rolled through my body. I heard a soft moan come from my mouth as my entire body relaxed.

“I’ll never look at ambulances the same.” Frances joked from her position below me.

“One for the books?” I ask.

“The book has overflowed.” She softly touched her chest and caressed her body, “Why the hell are you so good at that? You play my body like a drum.”

I watched her hands as she absentmindedly touched herself, and my body began to respond. I grabbed her thigh and massaged it gently.

“Oh, no, you don’t. Again? Already?” She laughed.

I nodded my head and ground my hips into her. She gasped, and that was the end of her laughter. She moaned as I picked up a slightly faster pace.

There was another knock on the door.

  Oh, for fucks sake!

  “Fuck off!” I yelled.

“Um, Mr. Ingram I would but, y’all somehow turned on the PA system in the ambulance, your mother says you’re going to give her a heart attack.”

Frances jumped up faster than I’d ever seen her, pushing me hard against the wall and pulling up her pants in the same second. She ran to the front of the vehicle, and a long string of expletives left her mouth. When I was able to get back up, I looked over her shoulder to see that the bright red light that indicated the PA system was activated. We must have knocked something over onto the button. I laughed while she crumpled to the floor, murmuring ‘oh my God’ over and over.

I pressed the button to turn off the PA system and quickly got myself dressed while trying to help Frances break out of her embarrassed state.

“It’s natural. Everyone knows we’re in love. Nothing to be ashamed of.” I caressed her hair.

“Sure.” She said, shaking her head.

  “You believe me, right?”

“Mmhmm.” She stood up in the small space.

“You are going to run away, aren’t you?”

“The very millisecond you open that door.”

I chuckled and walked over to the door, undid the latch and pushed the door open. Frances blew past me before I could even fully get out of her way.

I took a step out of the cab and could see my mother with her head down in my office. My father was patting her on the back, consoling her. When they saw me approach, he lifted his hand and gave me a big thumbs up, my mother simply let her head fall back down and wailed something about her baby.

I went to the other side of the building, where I could wash up a bit. Spontaneous loving was always fun but also very messy.

I heard footsteps coming my way and was surprised to see it was my dad had followed me to the back.

“Sorry,” I said, I’m sure he understands when lust overtakes you, but I am also sure no parents want to hear their kid having sex.

“I’ll be drinking lots of whiskeys to get those sounds out of my head. I’m scarred for life.”

“You’ll be alright.” I dried off my hands and turned to face him. “Everything ok? I wasn’t expecting you guys to drop in.”

“Yeah, everything is fine. I just wanted to discuss a few things with you.”

  “Here?”

“Well, I’m sure if your mother sees you right now, she’ll break into a fresh set of tears.”

I chuckled and motioned for him to follow me into the sitting area of the fire department. There was a small couch there, and it would have to do.

“Carson, I’m just going to come straight out with it. You are a better man than most. Better than me for certain.”

  “Dad…”

“No, listen. I’ve tried since I had my heart attack to be different, and I think I have made some serious strides, but always in the back of my mind is that little voice telling me to behave as I had before. I know it’s wrong, but its behavior that’s been ingrained in me. What your mother said is right, I’ve done nothing to get out of my father’s shadow, and he never made it out of his. I have always wanted our name to go down in the history books as gods among men. I now realize that all I and those before me have managed to do is stick us firmly in the bottom rung of society. But you, Carson, in just a short time have broken free of all the expectations. You give yourself freely, you love openly, and you still make money doing it.”

“It’s not that hard, Dad. I’m just doing what’s right.”

“That is what makes you different. Your brothers might have been trying to make their own changes, but none of them stood up to me as you did. None of them were willing to lose everything so that they could do what they thought was right. Your older brother thought it better to hide the fact he was a foster parent from me than to fight with me. It’s unbelievable.”

  “They’ll get there, Dad.”

“Yeah, I know, and I want you to make sure of it.”

“What are you talking about? I don’t understand.”

“Carson, I want you to have complete power of attorney over the company and all its factions.”

My mind began to spin, “No way, Dad. No. What about Cooper? He is the oldest; it should go to him.”

“True, and he should have been the one to prove to me we were living wrong instead of hiding it as he did. It should have been him here in Falls Village, learning to live with nothing. It was you. I won’t have any backtalk on the matter; it’s either you or an outside person. That’s the choice.”

I felt my chest constricting. None of us brothers had a close relationship with one another, but we were still brothers. I didn’t want to stab Cooper in the back like this. He’d never forgive Dad or me. I also knew I wouldn’t allow and an outsider in my place. “Will you tell Cooper?”

“Eventually.” My father shrugged and stood up from the couch.

“Wait, what are you going to do if I am running the company?”

“You know, when your mother and I first got married, we
didn’t have a honeymoon. I was too busy working. She fell asleep on our wedding night, waiting for me to come to bed. I have an extraordinary woman who I have been pushing to the back burner for far too long. I think it’s time for me to show her just how much she means to me.”

I couldn’t fault him for wanting to spend time with mom, no matter how much shit it meant I was about to get into.

“What about you? You ready to show Frances?”

“I do, Dad. All the time.” I brushed his comment off, but I couldn’t help but think about all she’d done for me lately. I thought about what her life would be like shortly if she stayed with me. It was true, there was one way I hadn’t shown her how much she meant to me, and I planned to rectify that as soon as possible.

“Dad, before you and Mom run off on your long overdue honeymoon, can you stick around for a few extra days?”

“Absolutely.” He put a hand on my shoulder and squeezed for a second before he left the room.

I sat back on the couch and pulled out my phone to research everything I would need to pull what I had planned off. Either Frances would love me forever, or she would kick my ass. I was excited to see which one she’d choose.

  Chapter Twenty

“Frances, get to the urgent care, right now! Hurry, hurry.” I spoke in a panicked voice through the phone.

“Carson! What’s wrong? What happened?” I could already hear her running from where she was waiting for me in front of the small diner.

“Just get here.” I hung up and looked around the jammed packed urgent care. People were sitting in the chairs talking amongst themselves excitedly. Those that couldn’t find seats were standing against the wall. My parents sat in the corner with a worried look on their faces.

Marj ran around with water for all the ‘patients’ that were in her small urgent care. Jake was running around as well, making sure all the equipment he needed was in place.
