The Unexpected Series (Unexpected #1-3) Page 66

by Amy Marie

In an instant he brings my hands in front of me and quickly cuffs them once again.

“Put your hands around my neck,” Ryder commands and when I do he lifts me up by my thighs and carries me up the bed until I’m laying flat on my back. He reaches into the nightstand and pulls out a second set of handcuffs and before I realize what he is going to do he clasps them onto the middle of the ones around my hands and secures them to his wrought iron headboard.

I yell out in shock, tugging as hard as I can to free myself but it’s no use.

“Unlock these now, Ryder,” I warn but he just laughs as he slides back down my body, stopping between my legs.

I try to kick but his hands hold my thighs down. “Don’t move, Spark.” He growls. “I already have your arms tied up. Don’t make me secure your legs too.”

If I wasn’t wet already I’m dripping now. I’m debating on if I want to move or not because the thought of him tying the rest of me down has me completely keyed up.

My eyes fall to his and a knowing smirk is plastered on his face. “I’m only going to say this once,” he whispers, his heated breath piercing through the thin material of my skirt and panties. “Wendy means nothing. You mean everything.”

His head dips down and he kisses me just above my pubic bone. “Everything.” He repeats and his hands push my skirt up over my waist.

I’m left feeling exposed and vulnerable. He can do anything he wants but I know if I ask him to stop he would. I just can’t bring myself to do it. I want his mouth on my bare skin.

  “Ryder,” I call out.

“I can hear it in your voice, Hadley. You want me but I need to make sure you believe me.” His eyes look to me, pleading. “There is a fine line between lust and love–but an even finer line between love and trust. I need you to trust me. It’s only ever been you.”

His lips place slow, gentle, sensual kisses on my hips and tears prick at the sides of my eyes. Noelle’s words creep back in. “You can be in love, you can find him sexy as well but until you can believe what they say without question then you know it’s for real.”

When I don’t answer he says, “I’ll make Wendy explain it to you.” He pleads, not knowing she already has, his head falling to my stomach. “Hadley, I know what it looked like but please believe me when I say that I didn’t want any of that. I never have. She has known from the first day that I’ve been in love with you. I’ll do whatever it takes to make you realize how much.”

I take a deep breath–ready to take the plunge. “I believe you,” I clearly say and because I don’t think I can ever live without him again I add. “And I love you too.”

In a flash, his head lifts up and his body comes to rest as it hovers above me. “You believe me?”

I chuckle bringing my knees up and around his hips. “I just said I love you and you ask me that?”

His pelvis grinds in between my legs and I can feel how much he wants me. “I’ve known you loved me for much longer than you have, Hadley. I don’t think you ever stopped but I need you to trust me. If you trust me I know we will work. This can work.”

“I trust you.” I wiggle beneath him. “Now please kiss me,” I request.

He lips draw closer just before claiming mine. I try to reach down but my hands are still handcuffed to the rails. I can feel him smile when he realizes what I’m trying to do.

“I’m not releasing you, Hadley.” He leans back on his haunches. “Not yet.”

His firm hands grip my shirt and he pulls it apart, sending buttons scattering all over the floor. The cold air hits my skin and it prickles making my nipples so hard they could cut glass. Ryder smiles at the damage he’s done and goes in for the clasp on the front of my bra. His eyes linger once my breasts break free. “So perfect,” he comments, taking one in each hand and pinching the tight bud, hard. “I want to fuck these perfect tits, Hadley.”

My breathing hitches and an image of him gliding his dick between my breasts has me writhing. “I’m obviously at your disposal,” I tell him.

He stands up off of me and steps down to the side of the bed, pulling his shirt off and slowly pulling at the belt around his waist. “You’re right. You are, aren’t you? But I’ll save those tits for another day.”

I lick my lips and nod as he pulls his jeans and boxers down, springing his erection free. My legs involuntarily fall open, spreading me out for him. Walking around to the end of the bed he leans down, grabbing the top of my panties and pulls down, ridding me of them. Taking longer than usual, I watch as he just stares between my legs.

“I can see how fucking turned on you are, Hadley. I could probably pound into you right now and would slip right in with how slick you are.”

I moan wanting him to just push into me and fuck me relentlessly. “Do it.” I plead, my wrists pinching against the metal.

He reaches over, grabbing a pillow and places it beneath my ass so that when he is on his knees I’m at the perfect angle to...

“Oh, fuck!” I scream as he shoves himself into me and grabs onto my skirt for purchase. His pace quickens once he has the balance and within seconds I can feel myself bracing for an intense orgasm.

When I look up, Ryder’s eyes are on mine, a drop of sweat falling down his temple and onto his cheek. “Say it again, Hadley.”

For a second I’m confused, but then I realize exactly what he wants. “I love you, Ryder. I love you.” I repeat over and over until I let the pleasure take over my body, and I scream his name out in release.

He leans forward, biting my nipple until he can no longer take it. He pumps into me three more times. “I’m going to pull out.” He pants.

I egg him on, clenching my inner walls, and he loses it, pulling his cock out of me and coming all over my pussy. I can feel how hot his come is as he spreads it through my folds with his dick.

“That is fucking sexy,” he comments while looking where we were just connected.

I pull on my restraints. “Can you take these off now? I think you’ve made your point.

“Hmm,” he says eyeing his mark on me. “I don’t think I have. In fact, I think I may need a few more hours to make sure you never run away from me again.”

It’s the big day. I can’t believe it’s finally here. I’ve been waiting over a year since Ryder asked me and my nerves are out of control.

I look at myself in the mirror one more time to make sure that my makeup hasn’t run with all the happy tears I have cried today. I look outside the car and butterflies take off all over again.

  I’m excited.

  I’m happy.

But most of all I’m nervous.

My door swings open and my sexy boyfriend’s hand reaches out to mine. “Let’s go, Had. We don’t want to keep them waiting,” Ryder says with a megawatt smile on his face.

He takes my shaking hands into his and I’m instantly at ease. All I needed was his touch.

I climb out and look up at the sign.

“Spark of Arts” can be seen in big red letters with a paintbrush and palate on the corner.

I shake my head in disbelief. “I can’t believe I’m opening my own business today.”

Ryder twirls me around and pushes me against the car. My knees go weak. “I can. I always knew you could do it.”

He kisses me, a deep long kiss, and if it wasn’t for us opening in an hour I would take him back to our place, or take him back inside, and ravish him.

Ryder and I moved in together last spring after he left the Buffalo Grove police department in search of any other one that didn’t involve my ex. He was lucky enough to find room at the Wheeling PD. I packed up all my stuff out of my tiny apartment and brought it to Ryder’s house. It not only has brought us closer together but since we were always sleeping at one or the other’s house every night it just made sense. Plus it helped me save up enough money to buy this place.

He was the one who came up with the idea of opening my own art studio. Once he put the idea in my head I was on a roll with wh
at it could entail and today is the grand opening.

I’m not only going to be living my dream and painting every day but I will be teaching others to do it too. Out of this little space I will finger paint with kids, do wine and paint nights with women and also rent out space to other artists.

To say I’m excited is an understatement. I couldn’t have done it without Ryder.

“I love you so much,” I tell him as I turn the key and unlock the door.

“I love you too,” he says kissing my bare shoulder.

I walk in and my eyes go wide as I take in the huge painting that wasn’t there last night when I did my final walk through. My hands fly to my chest taking in the beauty before me.

In bold, vibrant colors looks to be a teenage boy and a teenage girl kissing on a blanket underneath a dozen booming fireworks. They both resemble us, the boy with dark hair and the girl with long flowing brown hair. They’re wearing the same clothes Ryder and I wore the night we kissed at the family fest. Next to them is a burning fire and a picture of spin art with initials “RB & HB Forever.”

“HB?” I question looking back to him. “My initials are HC.”

My eyes never leave his as he grabs my hand from my chest and lowers himself down on one knee.

  Oh my God.

“I’m hoping to change that.” He reaches into his pocket, pulling out a black box. “Hadley, since the day I laid eyes on you in high school you are all I’ve ever thought about. Your drive to live life, the way you love and trust me unconditionally allows me to be who I am with no question. I long to keep you for the rest of my life. I want to wake up to your smile every day. I want to have crazy, amazing children with you and watch them bring our grandchildren over to our house so we can spoil them rotten.”

My breath hitches as the tears start to fall desperately to the floor.

“I want to watch you paint naked and burn the house down when you try to cook. I want to be your first, your last and your eternity. Will you please do me the honor of becoming my wife?”

“Yes!” I scream not hesitating for a moment and pull him up to his feet. I jump into his arms and he swings me around until he grows dizzy and falls to the tile.

As I straddle him, he opens the black box and takes out the ring. I lose my breath, stunned at its beauty. He slips it on, and it fits perfectly. I admire the round cut diamond on top of a white gold band with smaller diamonds all the way around the band.

“It’s beautiful,” I tell him, admiring it from afar and then leaning in to kiss him.

He pushes my hair aside and behind my ears. “You’re beautiful, Spark. The ring pales in comparison.”

I lean back, blushing at the compliment and stand up. He follows and turns me around, circling his hands around my waist and we stare at his painting.

“Did you really paint this?” I ask hoping I don’t offend him.

I feel his body move with his silent laugh. “Yes, but I had a lot of help.”

A few hours later the studio is filled with all of those I love. My mom is in the corner hugging Ryder’s mom. After Ryder and I officially got together they started doing monthly lunch dates. I smile at their interaction. They seem to have become the best of friends.

When I find Ryder, he is trapped against a wall. I watch as my dad towers over him and pokes a few fingers in his chest. Ryder says something to him and my dad smiles, bringing him in for a hug.

Ryder walks over to me and I can’t help but chuckle. “What was that about?”

“Nothing.” He shrugs nervously, making me laugh even harder. “Just some good old fashioned threatening.”

“Hadley, this place is amazing!” Noelle says, interrupting us, while holding her daughter Charlotte in her hands. The baby has green and purple paint all over her and Noelle. “Charlotte is having a great time!”

I smile at how much Noelle has changed. Long gone are the days of washing everything down the minute it gets dirty. She gets right there in the mud along with both Charlotte and Jason. That doesn’t mean other aspects of her life aren’t in perfect order.

“Thank you.” I accept the compliment.

“Of course, but I’ll miss you at the office.” She brings me in for a three way hug and pulls quickly away. “Now to take the little ones to Mama Decker’s house so Daddy and I can practice making another one of these cute things.”

I roll my eyes. Those two still act like teenagers.

“I’m so proud of you,” Ryder says wrapping his arms back around me and places his chin on my shoulder.

We look out into the large crowd filling the small space and I can’t help but start to tear up. “We did this.”

My life is finally coming together. I’m with a man I love, engaged to be married, living my dream of painting each and every day. He took me skydiving, cliff diving and parasailing last summer and I’m officially addicted to the rush. There is nothing else I could possibly want.

  I feel free.

“So,” my mother starts. “When are you giving us some grandbabies?”

I look at her astonished as she stands there with Ryder’s mom. “Mom!”

When the studio closes after a very successful day I take a few minutes to admire the stunning ring on my left hand while standing in front of his painting.

“Come on.” Ryder pulls me from my gazing towards the back room.

I follow but run into the back of him as he abruptly stops.

“This is my favorite wall.” He looks up at the brick wall that runs along the side facing the street. It gives the place a unique touch.

  “Why?” I ask.

Lifting me up by my thighs he turns to push me against it. “Because I dream of fucking you hard against it.”

“Just like the day you bought my wall on the rooftop?”

I went back a few weeks later and painted my sea of blue in a concrete jungle. After Ryder saw it, he put a down payment on it for the next five years.

He smirks at my memory of that day and I give him a bored look.

His eyebrows scrunch. “You didn’t like it?”

I bite down on my lip and seduce him with the lust in my eyes. “A little.”

“Well, you only need a little spark to start a forest fire,” Ryder says just before taking my lips and claiming his fiancée’s body–repeatedly.
