“Let me guess. You fainted.” He chuckled, letting his fingers roam softly on her skin. Shivers traveled through her body and she almost forgot what they were talking about.

“No,” she denied vehemently. She almost had but there was no reason to mention that. “I might have screamed super loud and scared some customers off.”

When his hand roamed down to her wet pussy, her body caught fire. She was glad they were done talking. She was horny. His mouth licked her nipple and then he latched on, suckling the tip until her belly tightened with the lust raging through her insides.

“It’s so overwhelming, how you make me feel,” she moaned. He let go of her breast and smiled down at her, then kissed her belly and made his way down between her thighs and to the spot she wanted to feel his tongue. When he swiped his tongue across her folds, the butterflies in her stomach danced with excitement.

She felt his fingers spread her folds open and then his cock was inside her. “I can’t wait,” he whispered against her ear. “You are too sexy and alluring.”

“Alluring? I have never been called that before.” She smiled, running her hands along his back. His skin was warm and she found it so comforting.

His hands went to her hips as he entered her deeper. She felt his thickness. She felt so full with his hard cock rubbing her inner walls. “You are that and more, Holly, and the men in your life were fools if they never told you how sexy, how beautiful and soft you are, but it’s their loss and my gain.”

He thrust in and out of her. Holly closed her eyes, feeling emotional at his words. She placed her hands on his shoulders and felt his muscles contract as he picked up the pace of going in and out of her. She moved her hips and thrust upward. She could feel her body convulse and knew her climax was near, and she leaned up and bit Matt’s neck lightly. She heard him groan and he increased his pace.

“Oh, Matt.” She let out her breath. He was relentless and she loved it, loved him. It didn’t take her long to scream out her release. He pumped in and out of her a few more times and she felt his seed hit her womb. They were both breathing heavy and she didn’t think she had the strength to move ever again.

Matt got off of her and she missed his warmth. “Hey,” she protested. “I was warm.”

He lifted her easily in his arms. “Let’s shower, then we’ll snuggle together.”

She wrapped her arms around his neck and giggled. “Sounds like a plan.”

She leaned her head on his shoulder and gave in to letting him take over and care for her.

  Chapter 12

“I am so ready to head back to work,” Holly admitted to her friends as they sat around Holly’s living room. Matt was working hard to find Gerald. They were trying to prevent another overdose. The young girl’s death had been sad news for the whole town, and it made everyone realize how dangerous this drug business was. She hoped they caught him. She wanted her life back. She wanted to drive around town freely without being afraid.

She had been off work almost a week and the swollenness had gone away. The bruises were lighter, too, and she didn’t need the pain pills anymore.

“It has been nice to have some time off but now I am bored.” Holly sighed, setting the empty bowl she had in her hand down. Jasmine had brought Holly her favorite strawberry ice cream.

“I sympathize. I couldn’t do it,” Jasmine said. She was lying on Holly’s couch, looking relaxed. “We are so busy sometimes it drives me nuts, but at the same time, I hate being idle.”

“You mean spending all these nights with that sexy deputy is not satisfying?” Alicia teased. She was eating a bowl of ice cream. “I want to live vicariously through you, so spill the beans, chica.”

Holly laughed and threw a pillow at Alicia. Holly was sitting on the floor with her back against the couch. The TV was off and Holly had the radio on with the volume set on low. “I didn’t say it wasn’t good. It’s great, but you can’t spend every minute in bed.”

Jasmine wiggled her eyebrows and grinned. “You can try.”

Holly stood up with a smile. She was glad they came over to keep her company. “I need more ice cream.”

“Why? All the ice cream in the world ain’t gonna cool you down if you’re thinking of that boyfriend of yours.” Alicia laughed, putting her bowl down on the table next to her chair.

Holly laughed as she went into the kitchen. She got the ice cream out of the freezer and refilled her bowl. She was about to turn to go back to the living room when she saw a shadow at her back door. She dropped the bowl and screamed. Glass shattered and mixed in with her screams. Jasmine and Alicia came running in, looking scared.

“What is it?” Jasmine whispered, holding on to Holly’s arm.

“Someone is out there.” Holly took a few steps back. Matt had boarded the door so the lock could not be picked.

Alicia ran to the phone on the wall and picked it up. “The line is dead.”

Holly ran to the hall closet and got out the bat she’d had the last time. Jasmine ran for her purse and took out her cell phone. She dialed a number and spoke into it. She put it in her jeans pocket when she was done. “ The fellows are on their way.”

Alicia and Holly huddled together in the hallway. They heard glass breaking and screamed. Holly held the bat up and Jasmine took out her pepper spray. “Drake makes me carry this around ever since I got mugged. I thought it was silly until now.”

“Should we go out the front door?” Alicia’s voice was shaky. Holly pulled her close. She hated that her friends were frightened. It made her angry. She was fed up with these cat-and-mouse games of Gerald’s. “He can go around to the front and confront us. If it is Gerald out there, the three of us can take him, but I’d rather wait for the guys to catch him. They can throw him in a cell with his brother,” Holly snapped.

Jasmine agreed. She tiptoed toward the kitchen and peeked around the corner. “There is a brick on the floor.”

They heard her name being called from the back door. “I want Holly. Come on out and your friends won’t be harmed.”

“Yeah right.” Alicia snorted. “We won’t let you go out there.”

Jasmine stood in front of her and pushed them back toward the front door. They heard the door being shaken as if he was trying to open it. Holly was about to suggest they make a dash out the front door and to her neighbor’s house. Before she could voice her suggestion, the sound of the cavalry getting closer could be heard. Each second the sound of the sirens blaring got louder and louder. All three girls let out their breaths.

“Thank goodness,” Jasmine whispered, putting a hand over her heart. “I hope they catch the asshole. I told Drake he was in the backyard.”

  * * * *

Matt and Tony had just arrived at the station. They had gone searching the woods with Jack Phillips, a long-time resident of Red Hook and a friend of Noah’s. He knew the woods well and had some good rifles. Tony hit it off with the man right away. Tony loved talking guns.

“Your instinct was right,” Jack told Matt. “I think the evidence of a campfire is a good sign of Gerald being out there. I knew his dad before he passed away. He taught them boys to camp and hunt. If he was still around, those boys would not be drug dealers.”

“Not to mention the drug paraphernalia scattered all over the woods,” Tony muttered with a sad shake of his head. “Gerald and his drug business need to be taken down. We can’t have him killing any more young kids.”

“Amen.” Jack shook his head sadly.

Helen and Noah had gone home for the day. Drake was sitting at her desk, looking down at his phone when it started vibrating. He answered with a smile, but it disappeared in seconds. “What the hell? I am on my way. Lock yourself in a room, Jazz.”

“What is it?” Matt asked, his heart in his throat. He knew Holly and the girls were hanging out at her place. By the look on Drake’s face, it was bad news.

“Someone is trying to break into Holly’s house.” Drake was up and running as he spoke. “He is in t
he backyard again.”

“Come on, Jack. We might need you,” Tony said as they ran out the door and jumped into trucks. They made their way to Holly’s house. It took minutes to get there, but it felt like more to Matt. His heart was racing with fear. Holly wasn’t alone, but three women were no match to a crazy drug dealer with no conscience, especially if he had a gun.

They jumped out, and Matt and Jack ran around the back while Drake and Tony took the front. Matt saw the shadow as soon as he turned the corner. “Right there by the fence.”

Jack went to the right and Matt went to the left. They jumped him and knocked him to the ground. He struggled, but Matt had him in a headlock. He was dressed all in black.

“Let me go, fucker!” the hooded man yelled. Jack took his hood down and Matt’s eyes widened. It was not Gerald.

“Who are you?” Matt growled. “And why are you messing with my girlfriend?”

“Yours? I think not. Gerald wants her, and he will get her.” He laughed. Matt could see he was as high as a kite. He handcuffed him and left him on the ground.

Drake came around the corner. “Tony is in the house with the girls. Is it Gerald?”

“One of his drug buddies,” Jack said with disgust, looking down at the hooded figure thrashing around on the ground.

“Shit. I was hoping we had Gerald.” Drake frowned. He pulled out his cell phone and called Noah.

“Yeah, we’ll lock his ass up,” Drake said into the phone and hung up.

Matt picked him up. “You will be spending some time in a jail cell, buddy.”

“That’s okay. Gerald and his friend are taking over Red Hook, so enjoy your freedom while you can. And that sweet nurse will be his main bitch,” he spit out. Matt handed him to Drake to put in the car before he punched him. “Gerald has friends in high places.” The man laughed.

“Shut up. You’re giving me a headache.” Drake shook him, dragging him away.

“What was that all about?” Jack asked.

Matt shrugged, heading to the front to see Holly. “I say we need to find out who Gerald’s friends are.”

Jack nodded. “I hate drugs. This town doesn’t need that shit. I have a teenage daughter and I’d kick Gerald’s ass if he even approached her.”

“I would let you.” Matt sighed. He walked up Holly’s front porch steps, and she threw herself at him as soon as she spotted him. It felt so good to wrap his arms around her, to hold her and be the one comforting her. Damn. He wanted to tear that punk apart and find out where Gerald was hiding. “You okay, doll?”

She nodded. “I am now that you’re here, Matt. I am pissed, though. Gerald threw a brick through my window.”

“It wasn’t Gerald. It was one of his drug buddies.” Matt walked to the kitchen and picked it up. He turned it over to where it was painted with white paint. “It says ‘I’m coming for you, bitch.’ How original.”

Jasmine put her hand on her hip, looking upset. “That rat bastard. How dare he threaten Holly.”

Matt looked at Tony, who was hugging Alicia and caressing her hair. Matt put the brick on the counter. He would take it to Noah later. They already knew who threw it in the house. He looked at Holly. “Grab some clothes. You’re staying with me. I don’t trust Gerald not coming by here.”

Holly nodded, looking pale and headed to her room. “I am going to call Faith before she hears it through gossip.”

“I am driving Alicia home,” Tony said. “I’ll be home later.”

The rest of them left, too, and the house was quiet again. Matt waited on Holly. She came out of her room with a duffel bag. “Faith is so upset. I hate it, Matt. She doesn’t need this right now.”

“I know, doll. Adam will comfort her, and tomorrow you can spend the day with her.”

Matt drove silently to his house with Holly. They lived on the outskirt of town. Neither one of them liked their neighbors being too close nor the loud noises that came with living in town. The dirt road leading to his home was a little bumpy, but he didn’t mind. His truck could handle the rough terrain.

Holly scooted close to him and laid her head on his shoulder. “I am so happy you are in my life again. I can’t imagine going through this all by myself.”

“You will never be alone again, Holly,” he promised, pulling to the front of his house. The house had been rundown, but it had been good therapy for them to remodel it to their taste.

“Wow, Matt. You have a huge porch. That is so awesome!” She got out of his truck and he took her bag for her. He walked up the stairs with her and unlocked the wooden front door. He put a code in the alarm on the wall and shut the door.

  “All safe and sound.”

“I like it how the house turned out. We sit on the porch as the sun rises. We have no neighbors nearby so it is very peaceful.” He led her in to the living room.

“No one has ever been here besides Jasmine and Drake,” he told her as she looked around the room with curiosity.

“I love that stone fireplace,” she remarked.

“Jasmine is itching to decorate in here, but Tony refuses to let her. I think he imagines her making it girly.” He laughed.

Holly laughed, too, and looked around the bare room. All they had were a couch, a chair and a TV on the wall. “Jasmine is awesome at was she does.”

He led her down a hallway and to a room in the back. He knew she was feeling nervous, but so was he. He had never allowed a woman into his bedroom here. This was his sanctuary, his private domain, but it felt right to have her here. He wanted her to be a permanent part of his life and this was a start.

He opened his door and led her in. He was glad he had straightened up before he went to work.

“You have a king-size bed.” She grinned, sitting on the edge. She slipped off her shoes and scooted to the middle. “I can get lost in here.”

“Nah, I’d find you,” he assured her. He set her bag down. She was not going to be needing any clothes tonight. He undressed himself and climbed in the middle of the bed with her. She already had that look that let him know she was willing and ready. She looked him up and down, and he felt his cock twitching with anticipation. He wanted her always, but now that he knew exactly what it felt like to be inside of her, he thought of her all the time. If it was up to him, she’d be right here next to him always.

As soon as he got close, her hands went to his chest. She ran her soft hands up and down his chest and he closed his eyes. She put such feeling into the smallest touch. She wasn’t afraid to let him know she wanted him. It made him feel ten feet tall to know he satisfied her as much as she satisfied him.

He pulled her body close to him until they were face-to-face. “You have too many clothes on, doll.”

She smiled and lifted up her shirt, throwing it on the floor. Feeling too impatient to wait for a slow striptease, he reached around her and unhooked her bra. She giggled and lay back on the pillows. He took her pants off, too, leaving her nude. He loved her creamy skin, so soft and silky. She always smelled so good, too. She was a beautiful woman inside and out, and his heart swelled with the knowledge that finally she belonged to him.

He leaned down and took her mouth in a tender kiss. His hands roamed over her body. He loved how she felt so close to him, skin to skin. He felt her legs open up for him and his hands touched her juicy, warm pussy. She was so wet. He continued the kiss and felt her moan with pleasure as he played with her pussy, inserting his fingers in and out of her. He let her lips go and she buried her face in his neck. She was thrashing around the bed and he liked knowing he could drive her crazy with passion. He worked his way down to her breasts and swiped his tongue across the hard tip. She was so responsive to him and he reveled in it.

“Oh, Matt,” she whispered, putting her hands on his hips. “So good. Never like this.”

He looked into her eyes and agreed. “That’s because we love each other, doll. This isn’t just a physical release. This is a way to show our love.”

  She nodded and blinke
d back her tears. “I do love you, Matt, so much.”

He placed the tip of his hard cock at her entrance. “Ready for me?”

“Always.” She caressed his face with her fingertips as he entered her. He went in deep and let out a groan.

“It feels so good to be inside of you.”

She tilted her head back in ecstasy as he began to thrust in and out of her. She wrapped her legs around his hips, bringing him in deeper. He went fast and hard, and a feeling of possessiveness ran through him.

“I need you, Holly,” he admitted, burying his face in her neck. He nipped the skin on her collarbone.

“I feel the same way, Matt,” she assured him while counter-thrusting his thrusts. They clung to each other while he increased his rhythm. It wasn’t long before he felt her muscles tightening up and he knew she was about to reach her climax. She bit her lip as if she could prevent the sounds of her pleasure from escaping her lips. She moaned his name. He thrust his hips a few more times, and soon he felt his own climax hit him. It was so powerful, and swept through his body, leaving him feeling weak.

He didn’t want to lean his weight on her, so he lay on the bed and pulled her to his side. She laid her head on his chest and he played with her curls. He fell asleep with good thoughts and he slept through the night.

  Chapter 13

Noah was furious the next morning.

“I got a call from the Jordans. Their eighteen-year-old daughter, Diane, went to a party last night. She got hold of some drugs and almost died. If they had not taken her to the ER right away, we could have had another death on our hands. I am sure it was Gerald. She described him, but she didn’t know his name. Her boyfriend knew him and told her it was safe.”

They all shook their heads sadly. The last thing they needed was a drug epidemic in this small town.

“What did the kid we caught last night have to say?” Tony asked, looking down at the file. “He is from Morehead. Seth Bolivar.”
