  CHAPTER 1

It was early morning when Kari Vega finally woke up. Kato had deposited her into his bed and slept on the couch, expecting her to be up sometime during the night. It wasn’t until he had pulled himself out of bed and begun to make coffee that his teacher reentered the realm of consciousness.

  “Kato…what-“

She jumped up suddenly, as though the memories of the night before had come back to her in a torrent. Kato poured coffee into two mugs, doing his best to play it cool.

“Ms. Vega, how do you like your coffee?”

She shook her head and stomped over to him. The look on her face was a mixture of confusion and awe.

“Kato, I saw you last night…I mean, I saw you!”

Kato took a sip from his own mug and did his best to smile at his teacher.

“Of course you saw me, Ms. Vega. You stopped by for something, probably around six or seven.” Kato walked over to the refrigerator and started browsing his morning selection. “You collapsed right after you came inside. I was so worried, I almost called 911.”

Ms. Vega was shaking her head. Her gaze hadn’t drifted off Kato since she’d woken up. He knew that wasn’t a good sign.

“Kato, I remember!” She yelled the words out, as if casting some type of magical incantation. “You were not yourself when I came in. I mean, your face, it looked like it was part…wolf.”

Kato did his best to feign amusement. This defense had always been his primary one in the past. The idea of someone actually seeing a werewolf and being taken seriously, or even being able to trust their own eyes afterwards, was in itself, ridiculous.

“Are you…joking around, or something, Ms. Vega?” Kato clapped his hands on his cheeks, and then smiled at her. “Do I still look like a werewolf right now, or…?”

“I never said werewolf, Kato, I said part wolf!”

  “Isn’t that the same thing?”

Ms. Vega was breathing heavily, and Kato could tell that the woman was more than a little upset. She was still wearing the same low-cut blouse and short sleeve shirt from the day before, except now with an additional night’s wrinkles and a bad case of bedhead. She was an attractive woman, and usually when Kato had an attractive woman in his apartment, they were only there for one reason.

“Kato, you are one of my students,” said Ms. Vega. “I need you to come clean with me, and tell me the truth. What happened last night?”

“Well, we’ve already been through this once, Ms. Vega. You came to my door, and passed out almost immediately. Speaking of which…just what were you doing at my apartment?”

“I, I was…” Ms. Vega hesitated slightly, and Kato saw his opportunity.

“I saw you watching me after school, but to think that you’d come all the way back to where I live, that’s a little outside the bounds for a teacher, isn’t it? On top of that, I had Amy with me…what exactly were you there to watch, Ms. Vega?”

His teacher blushed bright red, and let out a nervous cough.

“That’s not strictly relevant, young man.” Ms. Vega pulled a small pocket mirror out of her purse and began fixing her hair. “I take an interest in all of my students, especially someone who joins us midway through the year.”

“That’s fine, but please, call ahead next time,” said Kato. “That would be a much more appropriate way of handling things. Now I believe that we both are going to be late for school if we don’t get moving.”

“Kato…I know what I saw.” Ms. Vega pulled back to her original point. She walked over and stood right in front of him, closer than a teacher should stand to her student. “I trust my own eyes. If you don’t want to tell me what’s going on right now, fine. I can’t make you do anything. But I will discover the truth for myself.”

Kato sighed, and took another sip of his coffee, wishing that it was something stronger. He did his best to play it off, holding up his hands and wrinkling his brow in the most harmless gesture he could think of.

“Alright, whatever Ms. Vega. I have no idea what you’re talking about, but I also have nothing to hide. You can investigate me as closely as you like.”

Ms. Vega smiled at him. There was intelligence in her eyes, along with a fierce, resourceful nature that Kato recognized and found himself slightly concerned about. She walked slowly towards the door, keeping her eyes on him the entire time, and then left without saying goodbye.

As soon as Ms. Vega was down the bottom stairs of his apartment complex, Kato knocked over a stack of magazines he kept on his coffee table. She was too smart for her own good, and if he didn’t do something fast, she was going to ruin everything. Kato didn’t want to have to travel again, and find somewhere new to settle down. He wanted to continue what he had started.

Kato was used to keeping himself under control and bottling up his emotions, but he found it strangely challenging to do in his new predicament. He walked around his apartment, making the bed that she had slept in and putting things away, and then headed outside to his motorcycle.

He found himself wishing that he was like some of the other lycanthropes that he had met during his travels. Kato’s policy had always been to avoid shedding innocent blood at all costs. In some situations, that meant putting himself in danger, or worse, risking discovery.

But as soon as the thought had entered his head, he pushed it back out. Ms. Vega had been kind to him, and it was because of that kindness and her obsessive need to care that she had seen what she’d seen. Kato couldn’t hold it against her.

On top of that, the image of her in his mind seemed to have a strange emotion attached to it. She was beautiful, and different from any other woman that he’d met before. Her intelligence and wit made for an interesting personality, and combined with the fact that she was in a position of power over Kato, even more so now, he was curious about just how things would play out.

Kato strapped on his motorcycle helmet, started the black bike’s engine up, and headed off for school. His emotions were wild, swinging from one side of the spectrum to the other as he thought about Kari Vega, the woman who held his life in her hands.

He drove faster and more dangerously than usual, passing cars and running stop signs. His inner beast had gained a foothold over him through the turmoil of the past night, and it was using it to full effect. Kato ended up arriving at school early, with the parking lot still over half empty.

The sky was deeply overcast, giving the morning a dark and dull atmosphere. Kato walked up the stairs of the entranceway and headed for his locker. He tried to go through one of his breathing exercises as he walked, pushing all thoughts of his impending doom out of mind.

Surprisingly, Amy was waiting for him at his locker. She was wearing a pair of skin tight jeans, and a white t-shirt with the top opening cut extra-large, offering a tantalizing glimpse of her bra strap. Kato smiled at her as he walked over, feeling genuinely glad to have a distraction from his problems.

“Hey Kato!” She seemed excited to see him, in a way that only a teenage girl can pull off. “Did you sleep well?”

  Kato leaned up again
st the locker next to his as he put in his combination. Amy was so young and eager, with such nice breasts and perfect skin.

“Honestly, I slept horribly last night,” said Kato. “I just couldn’t relax properly. I had something really heavy on my mind.”

  “Care to share?”

  Kato shook his head.

“It’s nothing important, but thanks.” Kato pushed his bag into his locker, and then shut it closed. “There is something you can do for me if you want to make me feel better, though.”

  “Anything!”

Kato smiled, and took Amy by the hand. The halls were still mostly deserted, along with a nearby classroom. It was open, and Kato led her into it, closing and locking the door behind him. He went over to the teacher’s desk and sat down in the chair.

“Hmm…So just what is it that you want me to do for you, Mr. Lancer?” Amy was a smart, sexy girl, and she seemed to pick up on what Kato was playing at without him needing to guide her into it.

“Well, Amy, I feel like a part of my body is a little tenser than usual,” he said. “Maybe you can help me out with that?”

Amy walked over to him slowly, bubbling with seduction. She looked back towards the door once, and then grinned at him as she lowered herself down in front of his chair.

“I think something can be arranged for that, Mr. Lancer.” She ran her hand over his crotch, and Kato felt his cock rising to the occasion. “We wouldn’t want you walking around today feeling tense, now would we?”

Kato felt his heart begin to beat faster, and his animalistic side began to rise up as the busty blond girl unzipped his jeans. His dick was rock hard, and it poked out jauntily against the fabric of his boxers.

“You’ll have to be quick about it,” said Kato. “The school is going to start filling up any second now.”

Amy nodded, her cheeks slightly red, and then went to work. She pulled Kato’s cock out through the hole of his boxers, and then gave it a gentle kiss on the head. Kato moaned and leaned his head back. This was exactly what he needed.

Amy paced herself, slowly working her soft, luscious lips down over Kato’s tool. Her mouth was warm, and she knew exactly what to do with her tongue. Kato felt himself being transported to another dimension, one of pure, unadulterated sexual pleasure, where his concerns and problems were just whispers on the air.

It felt a little obscene to Kato to have Amy suck his cock right there in school. A teacher would be sitting on the chair he was in within an hour. The teacher might be headed their way right that second, he realized. The thrill that the thought sent through his body only seemed to make the sensations of Amy’s sucking and slurping more intense.

She was good with her mouth, and used it to give attention to almost every inch of Kato’s member. His cock was large, and Kato could tell that she was having trouble getting all of it within her lips. He wondered about what it would feel like to push his tool deeper inside, and to have her deep throat him in the style of slutty, practiced porn star.

Amy was bobbing her head up and down. Every few passes, she would stop and lick Kato’s member all the way from the base to the tip. It felt amazing, and made Kato’s inner beast threaten to rise up and take over. That would be the end of him, if it happened there in school, and he forced himself to relax and let himself be satisfied with the sensations he was feeling.

Amy increased her pace, sucking harder and using her tongue more aggressively, and Kato felt himself slip over the edge. He began to cum, spraying his white hot seed deep into Amy’s pretty pink mouth. She drank down every drop like a good girl, smiling up at him as she finished and tucked his tool away for him.

“All better?” she asked, leaning forward and giving him a polite kiss on the cheek.

  “Much,” said Kato. “Thanks.”

“I have to run to my locker. I’ll see you at lunch, okay?”

“Yeah, sure.” Kato watched as Amy skipped out of the room. She was pleased with herself, and it was a little hard for Kato to understand why. But he did feel more relaxed, and the beast inside him had calmed down. It was exactly what he needed if he stood any chance of making it through Ms. Vega’s homeroom without incident.

  CHAPTER 2

Kato made it to his homeroom just as the first bell began to ring. Most of the students in the class had already sat down, and Ms. Vega was busily sorting through papers behind her desk as he walked inside. He looked over to her, and she met his gaze with knowing, accusatory eyes, but said nothing.

Brett was still sitting in the seat next to his, and Kato used the boy as a distraction as he walked down the aisle. If felt as though everybody in the classroom was aware of what had happened the previous day, and Kato used it to his advantage, sitting down in his chair and allowing the tension in the room to build.

All of the students were waiting for a second encounter that would never come. Brett’s hand was bandaged, and his eyes were turned towards the far wall. That was fine, as far as Kato was concerned. He had no intention of pushing the situation further unless more drama came of it. He had bigger problems to worry about.

Ms. Vega was one of them. She was still staring at Kato, seeing him and his secrets. He looked up at her and smiled, doing his very best to act normal and unassuming. It didn’t work, but eventually Ms. Vega looked up at the clock, and then began with the morning announcements.

“Good morning, everyone. I hope you all have been having a productive week so far.” She was clearly distracted, and the intonation she was using didn’t match what she was saying. “There is going to be an assembly later this week discussing the school’s policy on lockdowns, we’ll have no homeroom on that day.”

She stopped speaking for a moment. Kato was getting sick of the look she was giving him. The expression on his teacher’s face told the whole story. She wasn’t going to let what she had discovered the night before drop, not until she had tried to dig deeper and get to the truth.

“They’ll be a fire drill sometime this week, so all of you should be prepared for that.” Ms. Vega was reading from a paper In front of her, and flipped it over. “Also, parking passes for the school parking lot are-“

A new student, someone that Kato hadn’t seen before, walked into the classroom. He was tall and lanky, with gaunt features and medium length jet black hair. Kato recognized his smell from the hall the day before. The boy in front of him was Gabriel Nemas, and he was a vampire.

“Gabe, you’re late,” said Ms. Vega sternly. “Don’t make a habit of it, please. Your attendance record this year is already bordering on abysmal.”

“My apologies, Ms. Vega.” Gabriel’s voice was quiet and concise. He slowly walked further into the room, heading down one of the aisles and towards an empty seat near Kato.

“As I was saying, if you don’t currently have a parking pass and drive to school, you’re going to need to purchase one from the main office by the end of the week.” Ms. Vega continued on with the announcements, but Kato’s focus was entirely elsewhere.

“Do you mind if I sit here?” Gabriel Nemas was smiling as he spoke to Kato, in the same quiet, confident voice that he had used before. Kato wished that the boy wasn’t wearing the dark sunglasses, so he could look directly into the eyes of the vampire, and possibly get a sense of his intent.

“Have a seat,” said Kato. “Be my guest.”

Gabriel nodded, and slowly moved the chair out and sat down on it. There was a new, almost electrified tension in the room. Kato had dealt with only a couple of vampires before, and each one had been more unpredictable than the last. He watched the pale boy very carefully as he reached into his bag and pulled out a pencil.

“I haven’t seen you around before, are you new?” asked Gabriel. There was a hidden implication in his words that Kato picked up on.

“I moved to the area just recently,” said Kato. “I like it here, quite a bit.”

Gabriel nodded slowly, and then extended his hand towards him across the aisle. Ms. Vega was watching the two of them,
but was distracted by another student who was asking her a question.

“My name is Gabriel. You can call me Gabe.”

Kato nodded, and shook the boy’s hand.

“Kato,” he said. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Gabe.”

The handshake felt like the first true encounter. Both of them were tensed up, and used the strength in their arms and fingers to size one another up. Kato found himself being very glad that it was late in a lunar cycle. Vampires were some of his trickiest enemies, especially when his abilities were not at peak capacity.

Ms. Vega finished up with the announcements right as the bell for second period rang. Most of the students rushed out of the classroom, but Gabe and Kato were cautious, standing up and minding each other’s space as they made their way to the door.

“Kato, I want you to stop by my office during lunch,” said Ms. Vega. She had her arms crossed, and though it was clear that she was unwilling to take no for an answer, Kato loathed giving her any opportunity to work him into a corner.

“I’m really busy today Ms. Vega, we’ll have to see.” He quickly rushed out of the classroom before she could object and headed for his locker. Gabe was leaning against it, which Kato had been half expecting.

“Kato! My new best friend!” Gabe did have one thing in common with some of the vampires he had dealt with before, in that his personality was almost totally unpredictable.

“Is there something you need, Gabe?” Kato wasn’t easily intimidated, and he moved in close to the other boy, spinning in his locker’s combination without giving ground.

“Do you want to know how I knew this was your locker?” asked Gabe. He sounded incredibly pleased with himself.

“I know how you knew this was my locker,” said Kato, swinging open the door. “What do you want?”

“Oh come on, if you’re going to be that way, why don’t we just settle things right now?” Gabe lowered his glasses, revealing the blood red eyes behind them. Kato felt his inner beast beginning to power up and expand into his awareness.
