She didn’t feel like she was intimidated by this place either, like how she was with Tommy’s place. This place felt secure, like it was meant for her, and Peter looked at her with a glance.

  “Something up?” he asked.

“Well, I was just thinking about how cozy and nice this place is. It’s definitely not what I was expecting at all. But this is the perfect home for us. It’s definitely something that I could see myself living in with you for a very long time,” she admitted.

Peter smiled. “Well, let’s finish off the grand tour with the balcony, where I made a special little surprise for you,” he replied.

They trudged upstairs, and when they got to the bedroom he pushed the glass doors open. It faced the back of the house, which had a great view of the skyline. Cindy gasped as she looked at the sunset as it dotted over the sky.

“I can’t believe how late it’s gotten,” she remarked.

“It’s the changing of the seasons. It happens,” he told her.

She nodded. “Well it still feels shocking. I mean, it feels surreal that we’re here. And the fact that this place reminds me of the balcony that my parents have in their home is relieving and familiar,” she said to him.

“Yeah, I had it modeled after that one. I figured it would be fitting considering the fact that we spent a lot of time there together over the years. It’s kind of symbolic in a sense,” he said to her.

She nodded. “It is,” she said.

He grasped her hand, looking at her directly in the eyes. This was it. This was the end of it.

“This is your castle. I know that it’s not big and sprawling like how you’re probably used to, but it’s warm and cozy. You are my princess, and I want to make your dreams come true. In the future, I’ll build you a bigger one, but I figured that this would be a great start for us,” he told her.

Cindy looked at him, her face starting to well up with tears. This was the perfect man that she had been waiting for, and he catered to her in ways that other people didn’t.

“Thank you babe. I love this. I don’t want another one. I want this place, and I want to be with you. No matter where we live, what happens to us, I think it’s a castle and we will live here together and have our own happily ever after. I love it, just like I love you,” she told him.

The tears were flooding down her face, tears of joy and tears of happiness. She had finally found her own happiness, and it was right here with Peter. There two of them pulled each other closer, kissing each other in a passionate manner that they both enjoyed. This was the start of their future, and it was the start of the path that they would follow with one another. Cindy finally got over the pain that she had in the past, and instead she had an outlook that she should’ve had at the onset but was too foolish to realize. She had an idea to look into the future, to have a positive outlook on things, and she knew that at this point this was her happily ever after. With Peter, that was the happily ever after that she loved, and the one that she deserved.

They kissed each other hard, and Peter knew that they would be fine. No matter what, everything would be okay. The two of them would be able to face whatever they wanted, whenever they wanted. As long as they had the power of love, and the feelings of happiness that the other gave them, nothing could stop them and they would continue to have a love that was completely and utterly unstoppable forevermore.
