Naked Soul: The Erotic Love Poems Page 5

by Salil Jha

  “We should meet as if,”

  “In this river of wine,”

  “The heart-shaped red hanging lights,”

  “One bed, two lovers,”

  “Wait for me,”

  “Two lovers met,”

  “Holding hands,”

“The innocent smile of your face,”

  “Night comes slowly,”

  “Embracing your body close,”

“Do you want to share my ice cream,”

  “At first I saw you,”

“I love it when you hold me,”

  “You tickle me,”

“You make a tent of blanket,”

  “Fingers move,”

  “At first glance,”

  “We cuddle naked,”

“Let the king come to the bride’s chamber,”

“Tonight I want to make love with you,”

  “I pleaded to her,”

“Few are those who are the mad lovers,”

  “Singing, dancing, musing,”

  “I lean to kiss you,”

“Oh what a beautiful moment it is,”

“There is the same moon outside the hut,”

  “Slow sunset,”

  “In this ecstatic love,”

“This I pray, my dearest love,”

  “Money can buy some rice-wine,”

“At last a soul whom to give my all,”

  “It is February,”

“I wish you were with me,”

  “Your loving touch,”

  “Touch me softly,”

  “Frozen in glacial ice,”

“I will be the first warmth of sun,”

“As lovers in my dreams we meet,”

“I wait by an empty garden,”

“In you I find my childhood friend,”

  “O my love,”

“I no more hear the noises,”

“Oh, I just want to kiss you dear,”

  “Wishing to kiss you,”

  “I wander no longer,”

“May the God of mercy have mercy on us,”

“Your soft lips to all my lips,”

  “You pull me closer,”

  GRATITUDE

I would like to thank Nikki Siclari and Alicia Cole for the time and effort they put into the editing of this book. Without having these wonderful and exceptionally qualified editors on my team, I could not have brought this book to fruition.

Special thanks are also due to Chandan Saurabh for creating the beautiful illustrations for the book.

I express my sincere thanks to you, O dear friends, whom I cannot mention by name because you are so many. Missing any one of you would be an injustice. But I mean you all. Thank you.

Also, I cannot express my thanks in mere words toward all of you dear and lovely readers. Without you, this book would mean very little. I wish you good fortune in love and matters of the heart. May your life be full of passion and a continually evolving, happy journey.
